Fountain is hands down the best place to rent a truck. Their prices are excellent and less than the not to be named competitors. The staff is friendly and professional. The trucks are also excellent. Weve rented 3 separate times and each truck was in great condition. I highly recommend keeping business local and renting from Fountain.

Great experience with them. Had a trip planned and went with enterprise rental needed a vehicle that sat 8 people reserved one from enterprise a few days prior to the trip. Went in the morning of to grab the rental and the only one they had was a 7 person truck. We had a deadline to catch the ferry in time and 8 people for the trip. They told us they had one and left us hanging last min. I remembered fountain rental from my last job at appliance depot. And how good they were to us there when our box truck was broke down. (Which was all the time) so we rushed over there got in and out super fast and on the road with a 15 passenger van for a cheaper price than our first choice and a way way better customer service experience. I love renting a smart car from Fountain rental when I need an emergency vehicle! The Smart car (gas power) is fun to drive, gets great mileage, and is only $27 a day from always local, family owned Fountain Rental. They will treat you right and offer a great value. I also like renting moving trucks from them for my clients, they offer a great Realtor rate for me! Highly recommend this top notch business!

Extremely friendly staff and great customer service. Very clear on guidelines for rentals and fairly quick process before your driving away in one of their trucks. Truck seemed well maintained and very clean both interior of cab and cargo area. The option for the power lift made the few hours I was moving solo much more bearable. Prices are pretty good and nice location just outside of downtown so you arent having to navigate one ways in an unfamiliar and large vehicle. Will patronize again in the future.

Good clean truck

One of our very favorite Bellingham businesses! They are super honest and realistic with what they provide as well as the (free) advice they dispense in regards to all things automotive. We rent cars and trucks from them and they do the maintenance on our cars. (we happily fit into their schedule - usually Tuesday through Friday)Also, they know Electric cars inside and out and have rented and bought and sold used ones for their clients. They do what little maintenance we need on our Ford focus electric car as well as our quest minivan and Suzuki SX4.They also buy cars for clients (to order) from the car auctions. Boy oh boy do I wish we had done that with our last car (minivan) purchase!

Ok services, called to reserve truck and they failed to tell us about the large deposit they require, the large chains dont charge this ridiculous amount. We thought using a local company would save us some but no cost more than the big chains... But the truck was really nice, we wont be back.....

I hate that I have to write this review. I tend to support local companies.But, there is one very big reason that you should never, ever, rent a moving truck from Fountain Rentals.What is that reason? You will be liable for the full value of the truck, even if you buy the insurance they offer. Thats right. That means you could owe them upwards of $50,000 dollars.When you rent a truck from them, theyll show you a photo where 3 trucks have damaged their building. That damage is not covered by the insurance they offer. Why? Because their insurance does not cover any incident on parking lots, driveways, and unpaved roads. Not only that, according to Bud, a Fountain Rental employee, over half of the incidents that happen are NOT covered by the insurance they offer.If you think that your car insurance will cover you, think again. Most car insurance does not cover moving trucks.The bottom line: If youre moving, it simply isnt worth the risk to go with Fountain Rental. All of their competitors offer much better insurance coverage, at a reasonable price. U-Hauls insurance is only $4 more, and provides actual coverage.If youre thinking of renting a moving truck from Fountain Rental, just dont do it. Its not worth the risk.

Fountain Rental is a fantastic, local, family run company that has provided nothing but the best possible service to me. Since I dont have my own vehical, I use them frequently for 1-day rental, as well as week-long rentals for when I have guests. They have a great variety of vehicals (even offering electric now) and everyone who works there provides excellent customer service. Over the past 6 months Ive rented from them about 10 times, and every time I know exactly what I am getting, what I will and wont be charged for, and what type of service to expect. Some of my friends have used Fountain for summer-long rentals and have also had wonderful experiences. Overall, top-notch company!

This place had high reviews from a friend. Today was the 3rd time Ive attempted to rent a large van. Each time, the one person (according to the person who answered) stated he could only say no to any inventory because the man who rented was not available to ask? Major disappointment again! I needed a van desperately for a spring break trip. I would never post a review normally. But the lack of help or knowledge each time Ive called is ridiculous for any business. Not having a van available is one thing, lack of knowledge of availability or offering to have someone call back with anything is another! Wont ask this company again.
