Would stay clear of this company if you are renting. Below is break down of why.* Originally had a move in date on set for July the 10th 2017. Container from overseas was scheduled a week later. We almost had to find a new place to live as they wanted to cancel the contract on the last minute. As we expressed our displeasure with the delays even though we payed full deposit and first + last months rent.* When we moved in the the lawn was in a horrible state. The upstairs bath was peeling paint. It took them another three weeks to fix it.*Storm knocked over the fence it took them two and a half weeks to fix it.* Sends a lease renewal on the very last day. This year Cherie sent a lease renewal on August 31st 2019 for a start of September 1st. In there they changed our options to extend for another year. This was not even mentioned* Broken dishwasher for over a month
I’m pleased to have the opportunity of providing a reference for my property manager, GM, of MacPherson’s Seattle Property Management. On my initial foray into the Seattle rental market as a prospective landlord two years ago, GM was personally referred to me via one of his other satisfied clients who wrote:“Never have to worry about a thing. I have found most tenants prefer to quote the landlord tenant act and look for violations instead of looking for a job. That’s why I love GM.”I have found GM to be honest, capable, and straightforward in his approach to property management. He always supplies receipts for subcontractor’s repair work along with monthly statements and has always been readily available for any questions or information. He has demonstrated a high degree of professionalism and acute industry knowledge in negotiating leases, selecting appropriate tenants, and providing cost effective repair subcontractors. Plus, he’s personable for both the landlord and tenant.GM has certainly been an asset – I am completely satisfied with his performance and the performance of MacPherson’s as a whole and I can recommend him without reservation. MacPherson’s has given me peace of mind.
Janine has been the best landlord Ive ever had. She was flexible, she was accessible if we had a problem. She was urgent in an emergency. Janine is a pro, so if youre lucky enough to know her, show her some respect. :)
Being a newbie to the Real Estate game, it was nice to have someone maintain patience with me as I slowly worked out everything hat needed to occur and what each step and number meant. They connected me with an excellent lender company and suggested to me many inspectors, one of which used a thermal imaging camera to look for warm spots in the wall (I highly suggest this inspector for other potential buyers). Thanks to their help and efforts, I’m a proud first-time owner of an amazing house all owed to my contact at MacPherson’s Property Management.
This office is closed, it closed two years ago!
I have been a long time client of MacPherson’s Property Management for over ten years. During those years they have been the model of professionalism and friend to me. Their vast knowledge of keeping my property rented is greatly appreciated. Their ability to balance the needs of both me and the prospective or current tenants comes natural. MacPherson’s attention to the property itself is what I also appreciate such as; maintenance, defects, shelf life and over all functionality of both interior and exterior spaces. Great job all around in managing my property.
Greg Blumberg at MacPhersons Property Management is an outstanding property manager. I have worked with Greg on many projects. The projects are always ready for the work that is to be performed, the scope of work is clear, and he cares about the finished product. One of the most important things about Greg is that he is available. So many property managers do not answer their phones or help solve problems. Greg clearly cares not only about his clients but also about the teams that work with him. I would recommend Greg to anyone who is looking for a responsive and professional property manager.
I so appreciate everything Janine has done for me and my family with her professionalism and advice. I could not have found a more qualified property manager. She is a credit to your company and I would not hesitate recommending her to anyone.
We had a tenant who was very demanding and we understand that MacPhersons has taken a lot of time to address their requests. The contractors they hired were competent in taking care of the various situations. We also appreciate their professionalism in dealing with negotiations between us. We are comfortable referring them because they have proven themselves to us through their capabilities and expertise.
We truly have an amazing agent! Shes been so responsive and involved right from the start. Always on top of things and always quick to respond to calls and emails. The bank gave us some hoops to jump through and she helped us make it so much easier to deal with. Easily the best agent weve worked with. She made the entire process stress free and easy!
This was the first home i have bought and I didn’t know what to expect. I looked around at some reviews online and honestly…randomly came across Liberty Management. To be frank, I thought it was complete luck that I came across this company. But after my experience with them, I have to now think there is a reason why it all worked out for me. My realtor was the best person who has ever given me customer service. He helped me with my new house even AFTER the sale was complete. This guy was amazing. On our first day, he explained everything to me and while I might not remember it now, he made it all completely understandable. Day two, he took me out to over 15 houses and construction sites. That day, I found the house that I placed an offer on and later purchased. Thanks again Liberty Management and the great luck(?) I had in finding your company.
Nicole helped us find a new home n the Seattle area. We transferred from southern Arizona, and Nicole really put forward a good face for northern western hospitality. She spent a great deal of time investigating possible homes for us and teaching us about the pro/cons of different ares. She truly worked with us to find a good fit for our unique needs.
First we want to thank MacPhersons for all the time theyve spent on our behalf. We especially want to thank our agent for her professionalism in handling situations beyond the call of duty. She should be very proud of herself and her work is definitely a significant contribution to the success of this company and the loyalty they have earned among clientele, yours truly included. We highly value their experience and professional judgement that we listen to them very carefully.
MacPherson’s Property Management manages my six duplex units. I couldn’t be happier with their service. They are forthcoming, communicative, and always professional. I have enjoyed working with them the past years and will continue to look forward to the future with them.
I highly recommend Cynthia Hardin of MacPhersons Property Management. After Cynthia started managing my condo, I stopped losing money on the condo. She did such an excellent job that I recommended her to my father and my sister.
My family have been tenants for almost 3 years. Our requests for maintenance have been ignored now the owner is selling and wants us out early. We moved out early to help them out. Now they are trying to take our deposit. Absolutely no support for the tenant. Youre rights are not respected. Worst experience ever. Now we have to hire a lawyer. Dont ever rent a property they manage. Would love to give less than 1 star but its not possible. Do yourself a favor and rent elsewhere.
MacPhersons is doing a fantastic job, everything that needs to be attended to is and we are having a very seamless experience. Keep up the great work. I have just recommended MacPhersons to other friends who also may be renting their home in Bellevue and moving...
Bob is professional, responsive, punctual and easy to work with. It has been a pleasure renting from him! We especially appreciate how fast he worked to get us into our home and get our lease signed and executed. Thank you!
Greg with MacPhersons Property Management does a great job managing my rental properties. He is the consummate professional. Always attentive to my needs, never drops the ball, returns calls promptly and I highly recommend him
I have to commend my realtor Patrick. He should be given a hefty raise for all that he has done for me. Patrick should be put into a supervisory or managerial position where he can train and pass on his knowledge to others. He is a valuable asset to MacPherson’s Property Management and I cannot thank him enough.
I wish I can give less than 1 star if its possible. Cherie Haven is the worst agent working for property management I ever met. We just moved from east side two months ago, we rent a house from this company. We rent a 3 bedroom and 2.5 bathroom house in Bellevue, but one bedroom has no curtain for the deck door and one bathroom tub totally clogged, and many other issues, so we just get to use 2 bedroom and 1 bathroom and pay a lot more. She keep saying she will send someone but two months later, I didnt know if she has a maintenance man or not. And this time the heating stop working ago, last time we had no heating, she said she will call PSE but she called for three days she cant make an appointment for us at all, my husband had to call PSE by ourselves and they came to find the problem and needed us to fix the issue by ourselves, and my husband fixed with a new air filter and emailed Cherie about the fee said their company need to cover it, she just ignore our email, we didnt get any answer until now, its over one month already.
We had some issues of our own along the way and our realtor stuck with us through every turn. He backed us up and did such a great job. If youre looking for a place to live I highly recommend giving MacPhersons a call.
A recent death in the family meant that we were left a home in the Bellevue area. We live hundreds of miles from the area and needed professional management for the property there as we really didnt want to sell it. They have been able to keep it rented regularly since the beginning of the year and the property remains in good condition.
We have recently renewed the lease on our residential home, located in Seattle’s Bryant neighborhood that we’ve been renting through MacPherson’s PM. We have been very pleased with the service provided by your firm. Our current rental property, when we first viewed it, was in need of substantial work, as it had not been kept up properly by the former tenants. Your agent, GM, informed us of the repair work planned for the property, and he took careful note of the concerns we raised. Since we desired the house, primarily for its location, we filled out the tenancy application even though we had reservations. We were very pleased to find that the promised work was completed before we were scheduled to occupy the house. Furthermore, as other problems appeared after we’d settled in, Greg promptly had them corrected – even though we’d stated that they weren’t urgent matters. Dealing with him has been a pleasure and a good reflection back onto MacPherson’s. Thank you.
I just want to let you know how pleased I have been with the work Janine has done managing my condo. From the day that she began managing my property, her service has been exceptional, taking care of everything, keeping me informed and looking out for my interests as well as ensuring that the condo is meeting the expectations of the renters.
I was very pleased with how they handled the recent tenant situation. They were quick to act and we had new renters in a few weeks. I was more than pleased with their wotk and give them 2 thumbs up!!!
Cynthia is a joy to work with - ethical, communicative, listens well and has a bubbly magnetic personality. I would recommend her to anyone!
Dont Trust Greg! No matter how many good reviews he has. If you question him he will place you on his bad side. If he doesnt like you he will send you violations with fines that tenants have submitted not owners. And he told this same tenants what car I was driving and I was complaining on them for parking four vehicles onsite. I ended up with harassing notes on my vehicle several times. I should have called the cops on Greg for doing this. This is against the community associations institute rules of standard practices managing communities and handling violations. He sends you fines with a prior warning notice first. Violations sent with a fine without a prior warning will not hold up in court and is case law the HOA/COA attorneys advise of when dealing with collections on violations with fines. The standard practice is to send you a warning notice first and give you deadline to correct it or request for a due process hearing with the board members. We asked for a due process hearing several times and to meet with the board regarding get a fine for parking in guest parking when vendors servicing our community park right in front of my stall. They hold your Dues checks to turn you into collections. My check was held for 15 days and was not cashed. I used to work for SUHRCO and how he acts as a manager is out of line and if your reading this Greg find a new job away from property management its just not for you.
When I moved into this house one of the first things that happened is the toilet stopped working. I was really worried because based on my previous experience renting houses I figured Id end up having to choose between buying a new toilet or endless fixes that kept it working for a few days. To my surprise MacPhersons without any fuss at all had a plumber come in next business day, remove the old toilet, install a brand new one, and that was it.When the furnace started acting up, again, someone was out right away to fix it. I mentioned there was no porch light, and to my surprise, they sent someone out to install one! I have no idea whether this is typical for property management companies or not, but its definitely different than my previous experiences renting. Ive been in this house going on three years now, and have no immediate plans to move.
My agent at MacPhersons is a gem! Shes always good about responding to me if shes not available and always happy to help. Its great working with someone like her!
Over the past 15 years, we have rented a number of homes, both directly from the property owns and through real estate management companies. We have had experiences with conscientious property managers as well as heedless and unprincipled ones. The service that we’ve received from MacPherson’s has been exemplary. In all of our dealings with your Shoreline office, we’ve found the MacPherson staff to be courteous and efficient. Our particular agent has been exceptionally helpful. His knowledge of the house, and the maintenance and repair needs of older structures, has helped us to keep-up the property and avert potential problems. I have corresponded regularly with your team (mostly by e-mail) over the past year – posing questions and keeping you informed on issues regarding the property. Macpherson’s has always been easy to work with.
Greg with MacPhersons Property Management does a great job managing my rental properties. He is the ultimate professional, always attentive to my needs, never drops the ball, returns calls promptly and I highly recommend him.
We previously had another property manager at our small 11 unit townhouse association in Bellevue, and they were just overwhelmed which led to a lot of problems.Fortunately, we found Greg at MacPhersons and he has basically rescued us. We get timely financials, he is on top of all of our concerns and is very quickly working through our punchlist of deferred and abandoned projects. He is a pleasure to deal with and always follows up. I havent heard one complaint from any of our owners about his service and he really made the transition as painless as possible. When it comes to difficult or uncomfortable situations, he always approaches with tact and respect as well.I cant recommend Greg, and MacPhersons, highly enough. Top notch for sure.
Ive been renting from MacPhersons for years, and have lived in several of their properties. They have always been professional, and put in the extra effort to make sure I am happy. They are my only choice for renting in this area.
My experience with one of their realtors was the absolute worst. I have never talked to anyone so rude before. I was trying to be as polite as I could, because I understand that its not easy dealing with difficult customers. So I tried avoiding that, but he refused to answer my questions and was really rude about the questions. I do not want to do business with them ever again.
I purchased a home from MacPherson’s early this year. after the purchase, I had issues with the AC. The inspector I hired noticed that there was a drain issue and water under the unit in the attic. This problem still existed after the purchase of the home, and the company that made the original $60 repairs (if you would call it that), re-inspected with an estimate of over$1,000 in AC repairs. The senior technician who came a day later estimated near $3000. My realtor heard about his and immediately made contact with the company as well as my new warranty provider to determine what could be done. He was livid, and so was I. Long story short, with his persistence in ensuring that the situation was resolved, all repairs were completed…on a Saturday morning… taking over 4 hours.. For free. Bottom line: the folks at MacPherson’s will go to bat for you and won’t stop until you’re happy.
They are always a pleasure to deal with and I appreciate all of their expert help and advice.
Ive worked with MacPhersons before and Im pretty impressed with their company.
