I have been at cedar crest for 5+ years. I recently moved into a larger unit and was very impressed with how it looked and how easy the whole process was. Mackenzie in office was very helpful with the transition and answered all the questions I had. The complex isn’t the newest but the unit I moved into looked like new. Adrian and Liam made the place shine and have always been responsive and helpful with any issue that has come up. I only have one tiny complaint and it is that my last unit had baseboards and the new unit does not. I’ve never really given baseboards much thought and it seems like such a small thing but it makes a huge difference. Especially with it being an older unit there are many dings and knicks towards the bottom. I personally think it gives a finishing touch to a place. Seems a shame that such a small and inexpensive fix is ignored especially when Adrian and his guys were able to make the rest of the place so nice.

We moved in yesterday and we’re absolutely delighted to find our unit in tip top shape. The office gifted us a welcoming gift which was such a sweet surprise. It’s so exciting to be part of this community and call this place our home. Our dryer made a loud noise and I told the office about it just before closing. They were right on top of things. Maintenance came by today with the ordered part. Adrian was so kind and efficient and respectful of my time. He went above and beyond and I am so impressed. All of the staff I’ve met so far Cassandra, Adrian have been great with welcoming, “here to help” attitudes.I’m so thankful for Makenzie. From my first inquiry about possibly applying, to showing me the model apartment, helping me navigate thru the application process and all the way til move in day she has been an absolute GEM. Her attention to detail, warm presence and efficiency has made my experience a breeze. 😊Happy to be here.

Adrian & Liam came by to unclog the drain & fix the shower rod. While they were here they also changed the batteries in the smoke alarm for me (thank goodness, the beeping was getting annoying lol) & then came back a few days later to also fix the shelving in my closet. Before they left I had one more request, fixing my blinds that wouldn’t turn, and they so gracious took a little more time out of their day to handle that for me as well. They were polite & punctual & quick and the work was done very well. Thank you guys so much again for helping out!

We really love our apartment. We have lived here for almost four years. There are a few complaints though. Anytime I try to call the office to speak to someone, I always have to leave a message. None of my message calls have ever been returned. The same goes for emailing the office as well. A bit bummed that the brochures, when we were looking for an apartment, showed the complex had a hot tub. Apparently, there was an issue with it, so they removed it and filled it with concrete. The pool is really tiny, as is the exercise room. One problem with the apartment is that we have had sugar ants since the first day we moved in. Someone came out once to try to deal with them, but to no avail.

The management team is fabulous. However the owner does not seem to want to take care of his property and update things in a timely manner. The amount I paid in rent would cover a luxury apartment anywhere else. Rain gutters were always dripping on the stairs, Dog poop everywhere, and grass is always muddy.

I have lived here for a little over a year and it is a nice quiet place to live. However with the snow and ice we currently have, they have done nothing to clear walkways around our apartments. They have only cleared areas by mails boxes and front office and told us it is up to us the tenants to clear walkways. As someone who has 15 years of property maintenance and management I can tell you that this is not the tenants responsibility, it is their responsibility. Because they failed to clear walkways and stairs, I slipped and fell down the stairs by my apartment leading to the parking lot. I decided to clear the stairs so that my neighbors did not have to slip on the stairs like I did. But again not the tenants responsibility. I feel that the upkeep of the property and tenants safety is not their main concern. This is something that should be addressed. Luckily I did not get hurt badly, but could have.

If I could give zero stars I would. I moved in not even 2 weeks ago & there have been a laundry list of things that need to be taken care of.Even after doing my walkthrough and sending in the form, nothing has been fixed (without manually submitting a maintenance request)There’s only 1 smoke alarm in my 2BR unit & no fire extinguisher (NOT safe). when I contacted maintenance about the heat I was told: “this is just how they work” and when I responded: “can this be replaced, because it’s cold” he responded: “no as long as it warms up a little it’s not considered “broken”.- parking here is terrible. I was told if there’s no parking by my building to park in front of the leasing office; I have a 2 year old son with a disability. My unit isn’t that close to the office. So that’s not an option for me.& if you get your car towed it’s $380 to get it back (VERY excessive) with NO advocacy from anyone in the office. This is truly a disappointment.

The apartments are spacious and well laid out! I have to say my particular apartment is a little ghetto. Three different sink types in the bathrooms. But I mean you really have to pay attention to those. The light for the dining room is quiet low you cant adjust it. Husband and guests tend to hit their heads on it. I personally love that mine has hardwoods although the noise im sure travels alot better with wood floors rather than carpet but with 4 kids its easy clean up for sure. There are quiet a few kids in this apartment complex so drivers should be wary of kids playing. And tons of dogs. They have a dog park thats well gated. It is a community if you get to know your neighbors! I love the community here!

Would that I could rate it 0 stars. This place is horrid. Parking is very limited, with a waiting list on the covered parking that they charge extra for. You have to buy a window unit air conditioner if you dont want to die in the summer.Onto my specific apartment issues: there was only one window screen that was installed correctly. A cabinet door was hanging from one hinge after being broken. Both tubs were badly recoated with cheap epoxy repair and at least 20 square inches flaked off of one tub. The apartment was repeatedly infested with fleas in the time I lived in it, which resulted in me throwing a sectional couch away. The fact they raised rent by $300 per month is truly maddening. The complex is almost 30 years old and needs to be torn down.

For the most part I was happy with this apartment complex. The apartment was nice and the grounds are well maintained. Upon moving out, however, the property manager told us that they would be ripping out the carpets in several apartments to upgrade them, including ours, so we didnt have to worry about cleaning the carpets. I moved out, cleaning everything but the carpets. He told us we probably wouldnt get our full deposit back but we should get most of it. A month later we received a bill, stating that we had ruined the carpets and we would have to pay to replace them. So not only did I not get any of the deposit back, but they now demanded further compensation. We called the office multiple times and left messages but the manager was too busy to call us back. The following month we received a bill from collections, the company having sent it to a collector despite knowing we were still trying to contact the manager about the carpet situation. Im so glad that I could use what little money I have to help upgrade the carpets in a complex that was already difficult to afford.***update***After posting this the company got in contact with us, apologized, and gave use part of our deposit back. I have changed my review from one star to three.

After some time I looked at the office hours and it said that they don’t even open until noon on Sundays. So why would they schedule me for 9:30am?? Ive been living here for almost a year and its been great!I had visited some of the complexes around the area prior to finding this one and they were mostly overpriced and something just didnt fit. When I called in for a tour, I spoke with Zach. He is incredibly friendly and will help you with whatever you need. What I found out upon living here is that the whole staff is that way. They are all so friendly and try to do everything they possibly can to accommodate you.The complex is well kept and beautiful. Also, at night, it is so quiet and since its next to wildlife areas, you can hear the owls and frogs at night. Its dog friendly which is another plus for myself since I have a dog. There are doggy bag stations for you to pick up after your dog (sometimes some of the tenants dont do that) but the staff tries to keep the areas clean. The units themselves are nice as well. They come with fireplaces and washer and dryer in unit. The two bedroom one bath unit fits me and my dog very well.Minus the typical apartment life- trouble with open parking spaces (they do offer carport parking for a good price), and the neighbors being loud, I love it here. Ive renewed my lease and I plan on doing it again because its a perfect fit for me.

Worst apartment complex I have lived in. The rent is very high because the units are fairly nice, but if you have any neighbor issues you will not get any help from the office staff. They let anyone move in and allow huge dogs in residents apartments. We have complained multiple times to the office and nothing has been done. As of now no one in my apartment has had a full night of sleep in almost three months. Dont ever ever move into this place if you can avoid it!!!Update to my post, the complex said they would do something about these neighbors. Two more weeks have gone by still nothing has been done. One of the worst places we had the pleasure of living at. They were unresponsive to emails after I kept sending them records of our neighbors smoking marijuana. I informed them I was allergic to it, and they said they would post notices, but they never did.The work orders also took forever to respond to. Were still waiting for pest control and an electrician to look at our breaker box a week after speaking with them about these issues. As all of our outlets are on one breaker line that keeps tripping, one would think that that is an important issue to sort out ASAP. Apparently, not to the management here. Its like they dont read their email or look at their work order system and only calling or going in will make them pay attention. But they never pick up the office phone, so for those of us that have the leave at 7am for work and only come home 10 min before the office closes, its difficult to even talk to anyone at any time over anything. The parking is terrible as well if you chose not to pay for a covered spot. Many of the people living here have 4 or 5 cars and many of them just sit in uncovered spots for days to weeks on end not moving. Multiple times Ive had to park across the street at 1130 pm, which is unacceptable. Every apartment should have at least 1 covered spot. There is constantly toys and trash near the stairs, which is kind of annoying, but the neighbors should be picking up after themselves and their kids. No one picks up their dog poop around here. The stairwells are grimy, and the gutters are constantly full of leaves. The grounds keepers come around once a week do maintain but they dont really do anything to help maintain the grounds.

DO NOT LIVE HERE IF YOU OWN A CAR. DANGER! This place is a slum. Theres no parking because huge families live in tiny apartments and there is no assigned or organized parking but they will tow you for $350. Homeless people regularly hangout under the walkways making the place feel very unsafe for walking back to your apartment when you have to park 4 blocks away. Our neighbors have had their tires slashed here. On top of this......The kitchen appliances are old and gross. If you complain enough they MIGHT replace. My windows still dont have screens in them. I have had packages go missing after being delivered to the front office. The mail shack is a disaster and this is an overall horrible experience of moving to Oregon. I signed a 15 month lease with this property. In that amount of time they were very rude, impersonal, and completely unwilling to work with their tenants. In the time I stayed here I received two separate noise complaints during holiday weekends in which my roommates, and myself, were completely out of town for multiple days. Each time we returned to a notice of a disturbance, one even claiming that there was an illegal party, and that multiple people were seen puking from my balcony. When I not only explained, but proved to management that everyone living there was out of town during the time in question they simply ignored me. Telling me that if it happened again they would fine me, or evict me (whichever they felt was appropriate).Beyond this, the hot water heater quit three times in two weeks time, with days between repairs. The repairmen were rude, and refused to answer questions or speak to me at all regarding the problem. Likely because only one could speak English, and did so very poorly. The worst incident of all though was when I left. I signed a roommate release agreement with the manger, and my roommate. I moved across the city with my fiance at the time. My roommate then trashed the apartment, and drank the rent checks. He was evicted. I was not asked to come to the court case, because my name was removed from the lease. However, when he was unwilling to pay the bills for the past due rent, or the damages, they conveniently lost my roommate release form, and claimed I was named on the lease at the time of eviction. When presented with my copy of the form, and the court documents from the eviction in which I am listed nowhere, they sold the debt to another collections agency in Everett, WA. Leaving me in a tangled mess, forcing me to report them both to The Comptroller Of The Currency for violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act.

I moved to this place from out of state, and was disappointed from the very start. The apartments are old, water damaged, and musty. The parking system is atrocious, and they try to charge you to have a parking space. The alternative is to park in the general parking, which is packed by 6:30 p.m., and will literally fill to capacity on most nights. You pay a kings ransom, for what amounted to be a very middle of the pack apartment complex. The tenants were frequently young, or very low-brow. Children roamed the streets, tossing footballs around and generally not caring about hitting tenants cars. The neighbors were in screaming matches and generally spent far too much time lingering around the complex. And to top it all off, this place is flea ridden, and my dogs had to suffer the consequences for this. This place is sufficient for people with low standards, or young people who are just getting their first taste of life. I would discourage professionals, or people who have ever lived in a quality, respectful community from living here. The management was generally nice, and helpful, but the community was just too all over the place, and the fleas, moldiness, and hyperactivity of the community members was a bitter pill to swallow. I chose to buy out of my lease because this place became unlivable after a while. If you read this review, take heed, this is not from a place of malice, it is a true assessment from someone who has lived in quality apartment communities in the past, this place is mediocre and not worth the price.

The management changed over night and wasnt ready to give me a new lease. they decided to keep charging me my original fee{1275} all the way from oct/nov- until February (4 months) when they finally had my lease available they decided to charge me back fees which included an unnecessary late fee of 100$. my rent bill was $1780 and they refuse to waive the charges even though they had a verbal agreement to divy out the increased lease fees that they were never ready to accept. Although maintenance is polite they told me they would give me a new dryer and never followed through. In the past year the pool was closed for 3 months, they lost my check, they forced me to fix my registration on my car or be towed. way too much unprofessional drama.

I have lived at Cedar Crest Apartments for four years and just renewed my lease! When I first moved here it was under Holland management. We went through several management changes at the time which may explain the mixed reviews. We had a couple of great managers and staff. We also had a couple of managers that were not so good and the frequency of management changes were frustrating because things werent getting done. The property changed hands recently and we now have Pinnacle Management and our new manager, Libby . I was stunned to read the mean spirited and personal verbal attack against her. You couldnt meet a nicer lady, and she is a dynamo manager. She has taken the bull by the horns and done a fantastic job so far! When she first got here she added gravel to places that needed it which was not done in the four years I have been here. (but promised) She immediately took control of the garbage issue we had from one of the managers that let it get out of hand. (It is no longer an issue.) She took control of the doggie stations and we always have enough plastic bags now. She had staff replace all the lighting with LED lights making it very well lit up at night and I feel safe walking my dog along the paths late at night. I have personally seen the security car patrolling the area. She fixed the pool so we can always use it (last management it was closed or out of order often) She has only been here a few months and I think she is doing a terrific job fixing the issues that she inherited.Libbys staff is friendly, helpful, and the maintenance guys are great! If I put in a work order things are done to my satisfaction. One of the maintenance guys Jason is still here from Holland and he is a perfectionist which I appreciate.Libby always has an open door. Sometimes I just go into the office for coffee and to chat a bit. She is professional, efficient, detailed, always ready to listen and also open to new ideas.I realize that there will always be disgruntled folks regardless of where they live, but everything is spelled out in the lease. If you violate that you are subject to fines etc. including late fees if your rent is not paid on time. It is in the lease. The parking here can be a challenge some nights because there are families that have more than 2 cars. However, I never have a problem because I pay a nominal monthly fee for a carport. (And I really like it that if someone parks in the space I pay for than they ARE TOWED ( that has been enforced since I moved here and I appreciate knowing that I have a guaranteed place to park when I get home.) Also, It is CLEARLY spelled out not to park in the covered areas and it is stated in the lease.I have NEVER seen homeless people hanging around here. People are not allowed to loiter on the property and I know this is enforced. And finally, I like it here because it really is a lovely community. I have met several people that have lived here 7 years or longer.Libby has only been here a short time and she already had a party for the residents with prizes, cash prizes, and fun for the kids. She really did a good job and it was packed!I think this is a lovely place to call home which is why I gave it a five-star rating for the property and beautiful apartments: Five stars for Libby and her courteous staff, and five stars for the maintenance crew that are always helpful, friendly and efficient.Yes, I would recommend Cedar Crest as a place to call home!

Now it has completely gone down hill. The office almost never answers the phone yet they are there not doing anything. I have sat out front and called and watched no one pick up, 2 seconds later I walk in and they are sitting there just chatting. If you put in a maintanance request they dont even respond and randomly show up. I put one in for my kitchen light 3 days ago and have called every day and left messages and have not heard back. They also know I have a newborn baby so making bottles in the dark is a huge inconvience. Our new management is definitely not how it should be. I wouldnt suggest living here, way over priced for the downhill look and feel of the place.

Jacob anew needs to get his/her priorities in check i am a resident at cedar crest and if i am late i expect to pay 100$ late fee.Maintenance is quality. The management in the office follow the rules and on on lunch hours of course the office is close or how about snow stays of course the office is closed...... Oh btw Jacob Anew if the smile while so called throwing the book at you thats means they are being professional customer Service reps! It if youre getting fined than obviously youre breaking stuff in your lease! The property manager is a very polite, well spoken, hard worker & doesnt deserve to be berated by a resident who is upset over something you did.Last note if you want a parking spot PURCHASE ONE! the free spots are mostly meant for guest ;)
