We took our 100+ year old, vintage ring in to be resized. Simple right?? They immediately tried to up-sell us and convince us to remove the diamonds and place them in another ring. We were not interested at all. The whole point of owning a vintage ring is to display the antique filagree and preserve the beauty of artwork. They didn’t seem to care or understand that in the slightest. They took the ring and gave us a ‘promise date’ (when the ring will be ready). When the promise date came and past we called for an update on the ring. They told us in a very rude manner that we should be patient and wait for the promise date. Then they hung up on us. We called back and stated that we’re did wait and it was in fact past the promise date. They then said they would look into it and call us back. Days past. Nothing. No calls. We called them again and they found that the ring was returned to them with the notation that the ring couldn’t be resized. They tried but it cracked and so they returned it. Please note that they didn’t fix the cracked ring. They did hand it back, now misshapen and with a very rough buffing job to hide the crack. The crack was easily viewed and the rough buffing just removed the surrounding filagree. They returned the ring to us and gave us a refund. That’s all. I will actively steer anyone I know away from Kay’s. Terrible service and no skills at all. They can’t even return a phone call. The worst experience I could imagine. Don’t give them your business.
I asked them to size a ring and, after they had tried, they realized that they couldn’t do it. They put the ring back together, but not in its original condition. It is especially upsetting because my ring is an antique. Also, it was not back by the promise date and they never called to let me know. I had to call them to receive the news. They didn’t seem to care that they did not return my antique ring in its original condition.
I always love Kay Jewelers. Theyre have very nice customer service!
The best low key jewelry store around. I do all my shopping there.
One very pleasant male associate, Mark, I believe. However, the customer support he attempted to work with on the phone was no help at all. He was trying to get me a refund. After close to a half hour we decided they would mail the jewelry back and refund me that way.
Walked in store hoping to select a gift for my husband to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Young lady appeared to be new. I asked if they had cuff links. She was unsure and went to the back to ask a manager. The gentleman said only available on line. Another lady came over after I asked the young lady how quickly they would receive an ordered placed on line. She said a couple of weeks. I asked if there was another jewelry store at The Greene. Older lady said they were the only one. But perhaps I could get my gift at Eddie Bauer...really? Totally clueless.
The ladies always take care of me and my wife. No rushing or sales pushing. Very nice atmosphere when it comes to buying new jewelry. Knowledgeable in all aspects and understanding of the individuals wants. Always come here for surprises for the wife.
Thank you. For all of your help on Sunday fixing my necklace. The neclace was my Mothers cross that she held in her casket. I will always be Grateful for your generosity and kindness. Bless you Easter. And the manager of the store.
Been shopping here for over 20 years always has friendly sales people and great prices and selection
My Fiance and myself went into look at engagement rings we had the pleasure to be waited on by the manager unfortunately I dont remember her name but she made our experience the most amazing experience thus far thank you!!!
Have to agree with the other review posted. They will jerk you around if you need services done on the jewelry. My wifes wedding ring had a chip in a diamond. Brought it in for repair, they said it would take 6 weeks. Seemed long but oh well, then two weeks later they call and say its done. This was on the coldest day of the winter, we go in to pick it up but notice the same chip is in it. Apparently they sent it somewhere that sent it back without any repairs and they thought it was done. So they apologize and sent it back out. Then they call and say it will be back in a couple months. From 6 weeks to 90 days...on a ring that seems to be popular. We finally picked it up and I spoke to the store manager who seemed to care less. I tried to get her to give us some sort of gesture of good customer service but to no avail. Guess well make one last payment on the credit account and close it off for good. In a market full of jewelry stores, save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else.
Somehow took more than 10 days to replace a clasp and then I had to wait 15 min to pick it up even though the employee acknowledged when I came in what I was picking up. Not even sure if the same quality of gold was replaced and it still cost $100.
I came in to get my engagement ring sized. I have been in the standing in the store for nearly 10 minutes, currently leaning against a display case, and an employee has yet to even acknowledge me let alone offer a word of apology for the wait.
Loved the staff...very friendly.
