The service was good but the service was paid for. Now I then got a second notice asking for payment and like I said I paid it and emailed to show proof that I paid it.

The first available appointment was more than a week away. We booked it... and the technician never came. In fact, the technician never called. We called and they promised to be there by the end of the evening. No one came. We called the next day, they promised to make it right. No one called, no one came. I called this morning, I was promised someone would call today to come by for an appointment. No one called, no one came. Im on the phone now with a rep saying they will be here on Friday and that I can rest assured someone will actually be coming. Well see... but so far, this is among the least communicative and effective businesses Ive ever engaged with. If we could find another repair person to get here sooner we will - leaving this as a cautionary tale for anyone considering Sears for a repair. Hopefully they make this right and do better for others going forward.Follow up to my earlier post. The repair person did finally come and he was really good - friendly and knowledgeable. He seemed unaware of all that had gone on before and so I want to make clear that his work was great, the customer service, scheduling and following through were the terrible parts. His quality performance led me to improve this by 1 star. Good service and ok price but terrible scheduling and customer service.

Called to repair a Samsung Oven. Repairman looked at oven did NOT disassemble anything and said he cant get the part. They are still wanting me to pay full amount for him coming out. I refuse to pay because I should have been told this in the initial appointment diagnosis. I would have paid whatever amount to have repair. I consider this as an Absolute RIP OFF!

LG sets up appointment with A&E factory to access my refrigerator. 2 weeks later a tech comes an says you need a new compressor orders parts and gives appointment for repairs 7/7/2021, my parts have been delivered within a week of the 1st tech coming. 7/7/2021 repair person does not show up says no one was home and closes out my ticket. Mind you I stayed home from work to wait on him. Now A&E tells me I have to call LG again to set up another appointment for repairs because the tech (lied)and said he repaired my refrigerator when he originally said No one was home. LG now they cant put in another ticket until after 24 hours of the completed job which was never completed. Ive been without a refrigerator for almost a month now, so finally 7/14/2021 another tech comes which happens to be the original tech to come access the refrigerator in June but hes only here to access again for the same thing he already said, the compressor is out. Go figure. He was nice enough and had a heart and went on and fixed the refrigerator which runs and sounds better then the day we got it. The person that lied needs serious reprimand but thats the people a&e employ, liers. Says alot about a&e!

We decided to go with a major repair company to fix our broken dishwasher, thinking the service would be better then an independent. The day of the diagnostic everything seemed to be fine, our tech didnt really say much to us, but shes there to perform a service so I didnt really think shed have to say much. It was $109 just for the diagnostic, then the tech ordered our parts (which was a whopping $538). They scheduled our next appointment to install the parts and I signed up for text updates. The day of the repair came, and went, 0 text updates, and my boyfriend missed out on a paid day of overtime at his job to sit at home and wait for the service that didnt show up. When I got home from work, I had to go to their website and it appeared that only 1 of 3 parts needed for the repair had shipped literally on the day of our service repair, no updates on the other parts. I reached out to Sears to find out whats going on, and at this point figured theyre terrible with communication. Apparently the parts are shipping directly to us, and if we havent received them yet, we shouldve figured out on our own that they werent coming for the appointment. We figured the parts would come from them and they would bring everything with them the day of the service, but that was not so. No one told us that beforehand, and they also didnt tell us that signing up for text updates meant absolutely nothing because I didnt receive any. It took over a month past our repair appointment to receive all 3 parts, and even then, no text updates and the website still says 2 of the parts are in progress and havent shipped yet. I rescheduled my repair service (told them we received everything but it doesnt say that on their website, and they might want to update it on their end) and the tech called on the day of the repair to verify that I actually had the parts because on their end it says they havent arrived yet. 🙃 I waited around half the day for a text update for them to tell me they were finally on their way, then the tech came by 2 hours ahead of the text update, and he did a good job, which is the only reason I didnt rate them 1 star. Then he was asking if we had already paid because on theyre end, it doesnt show any payment confirmation. Good thing I saved the confirmation of payment or it wouldve cost me another $538. I mentioned to the tech that the parts wouldnt have been ordered without payment, and he said usually thats the case. They tried to offer me a free estimate of other services but I just said no, figuring that Ive been thru enough with this whole ordeal for 3 months total to get my dishwasher repaired, and no one offered anything for the inconvenience. Not only was it expensive (which these things can be), my boyfriend lost out on overtime pay at his job, which wouldve been avoidable if they just told us what was going on. Needless to say, we wont be going with Sears again for anything. Communication is so important so we dont waste time and money, but they cant seem to get that right.

I purchased my refrigerator in 2018 and itstopped working in May 2020.... and it’s still not working and today is November 1, 2020.My Sears visit was complete and utter hell. I have done everything the techs have asked me to do such as: washing refrigerator doors with vinegar, having electrician to come in to check wiring. The vinegar didn’t work and electric is not the problem. When a Sears tech came to my home on October 23, the parts were ordered for him to install, he REFUSED to install it because he said he was not going to install it because I have an electrical problem. The electrician said it is the refrigerator that has the problem NOT electrical. This is my THIRD time asking and telling them not to send the same tech back because he is rude, disrespectful etc. I informed them that if they send him back here then he will not be able to come in. His co-worker ordered the part that needed to be installed and the rude ignorant tech refused to install it. I can’t get water or ice from the refrigerator. I have to buy it. I have lost a lot of food and I am 78 years old, I deserve better treatment from Sears. We have been buying from Sears for YEARS. I been buying water and ice since MAY, I have been using an ice chest to keep my food from going bad however that does not last long. I am tired of being treated this way!

Tech replaced ice maker but that did not solve the problem, its worse because the ice maker is overfilling with water which floods the container below and forms a solid block of ice. Secondly you do not have enough techs available because I have to wait 2 wks to get another service--not until Oct 15. Today is Oct 1 and the above service was done on Sept 27

Hmmm where can I start. November 19, 2018, they sent an tech to my house. They said I have an bad compressor and order it. December 14, 2018, tech came to my house and replaced the compressor and filter. Ran for 24 hours and stopped. Had to wait until Jan 4,2019; repair leak and replace filter dryer, ran 24 hours and stopped. Had to wait until Feb 14, 2019 tech came out and put on freeze evaporator, refrigerator evaporator and filter dryer, didnt get cold at all. March 8,2019 said they found a leak and the refrigerator works fine. Work for 2 hours and stoppedApril 1,2019 they put the condenser coils in and it never got cold. So yeah its May 3,2019 and I still dont have my refrigerator fixed. All this time they should have gave me another one. Please take your business somewhere else even with an warranty.

If I could give minus stars I would. This was a follow-up appointment to install some parts that had been ordered for my refrigerator which has recently started freezing the vegetables and fruits in the vegetable drawers and started frosting over in the freezer. The tech came, said the parts wouldnt fit and wouldnt solve the problem (it was a couple of replacement gaskets) and that I should just raise the temperature in the freezer and the fridge so things wouldnt freeze. He said the gaskets were wrong and he asked Sears to research to see if any to fit were available and if they were covered under my warranty and that if they decided to replace them Id hear from them. So meanwhile my food is warm in the fridge, the freezer still ices over, and nothing was repaired. A BIG SCAM.

I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed with the non-service I received from Sears Home Services regarding my Whirlpool Dual Built-In Oven that is covered by an active Sears Protection Agreement. It pains me to write this extremely negative review of Sears because I am a two-generation loyal Sears customer--or at least I was.I called Sears Home Services on July 10, 2017 to request repair service on my Whirlpool Dual Built-In Oven. I indicated on that call that two items needed repair: (1) the illumination on the temperature screen had gone out and therefore my wife and I could no longer see what temperature to set the both the upper and lower ovens on; and (2) the broiler in the upper oven was not working. Sears Home Services sent three technicians to my house to address my two repair requests. The first technician Larry came to my house on July 17, 2017. He ordered two new parts: (1) a control panel for the lack of illumination on the temperature screen; and (2) a new broiler element for the upper oven. The second technician James came to my house on July 27, 2017 to install the two new parts. James informed me that the control panel that Larry ordered would not fix the lack of illumination on the temperature screen. As for as the upper broiler not working, James informed me that after he consulted by phone with David at STAC that David decided that my upper oven is not repairable. The stated reason why the upper oven is not repairable that James indicated on my receipt is “upper broil element drooping because of cavity failure.” I read my Master Protection Agreement very carefully. Section 13 of the agreement (Limitations of Coverage) lists reasons why a repair request of a covered product would not be honored. “Cavity failure” is not listed among the reasons listed in Section 13 why a covered product would not be repaired. I understand from a conversation with a Customer Service Representative that David at STAC added the note “owner negligence” to James’s note. It is clear to me that David added that note to justify his disinclination to pay for the repair of my upper oven because he realized that the “cavity failure” reason that James indicated on the receipt he gave me is not a legitimate reason for not repairing my upper oven. This kind of duplicitous behavior is not befitting of Sears or any of its subsidiaries. After James informed me of David at STAC’s decision, I then called Sears Home Services again to complain about the decision not to repair my upper oven. The Customer Service Representative I spoke with told me that he was going to send a third technician to independently evaluate my upper oven and give me a second opinion on the repairability of my upper oven. The third technician Lumon came to my house on August 9th. He opened the door of my upper oven and informed me that he was told “not to touch my oven.” Keep in mind that the Customer Service Representative told me that the third technician was coming to do an independent evaluation of my upper oven to determine if it should be repaired. So much for an independent evaluation!Throughout this entire ordeal, Sears Home Services never addressed the problem of the lack of illumination on my temperature screen. After all, the lower oven is completely functional. The temperature screen shows the temperature on both ovens. This kind of bungling and unprofessionalism is unbefitting of the Sears that I know and the Sears that my father knew. I cannot believe that this is the same Sears that I came to know as a child in my father’s house and that I have come to trust as an adult in my own house. The Sears of old had an ironclad reputation for honesty, integrity, and a strong commitment to their customers. Sadly, the treatment that I have received from Sears Home Services as described above seems a far cry from the Sears of my father’s generation!Huey L. Perry, Ph.D.

First of all it was May 10, 2016, he put the new part on and left, it was not fix, tried to call him back no response, email sears that was a waste of time, poor customer service gave me all type excuses( we can get in touch, he gone for the day, etc.) I was told someone will call me( I never got a call wednesday, told someone will call thursday) waited all day thursday(no call), I email and tried to explain what was going on(the person did not want to hear what I had to say) I will schedule you for friday so a tech to come out.I will never buy from you again, and tell everybody I know to do likewise. The bottom line SEARS has poor customer service(A&E)the consumer suffer, a whole week without a washer, Sears you need to do better, when you service it was better.
