Enjoyed my 1st real class this am at 6am. Everyone was helpful and supportive during the class! Id definitely advise anyone to try it!
My son has been a personal training client for some time and loves the training. Pat the trainer is great, facility is nice. There is no parking, which is the only downside I can think of, but that comes with the area its in.
Cracking workout with Pat yesterday and Nick this am. Was just in town for the week and hit the Fight Club class and they club helped me set up a personal session too. Good clinic on the hook! Cheers fellas.
Love KO Fitness! I have been going for several months. I love the environment, energy, consistent variety, and challenge. Since attending I have gained so much confidence and strength. I would recommend KO to anyone looking for a change in pace and a challenge.
I love this place! I feel like i’ve grown stronger and learned so much in the last two months, and it’s truly become a little community both with the trainers and other participants.Highly highly recommend and intro class if you can, promise you’ll be hooked :)
Don’t dismiss the negative reviews about how difficult it is to communicate with the owners.I loved Knockout, and now I will never be going back.I’ve heard it said that the pandemic taught us all what kind of boss our bosses *really* are. The same goes for gyms - Knockout does not care about you, how much you’ve paid to keep them afloat when the gym was closed, or how much you’re willing to pay in the future. They only care about not upsetting their billing company.I was really enjoying boxing classes when the pandemic hit so, to help Knockout get through the tough times, I pre-paid for boxing lessons and bought passes for outdoor classes, some of which I didn’t even use. Then, when the gym reopened, I continued to pay to the end of my 12-month contract without fuss, even though I didn’t feel safe returning to the gym.In October, I emailed them (because they don’t have a working phone number posted) to cancel my membership, with every intention of becoming a member again when I felt safe to return to the gym. I was told that the contract I signed was *actually* for 12 payments and not 12 months so (because they had to close the gym for a few months) I would need to pay until the end of the year. They assured me that 1) the failure to notify me (and I doubled-checked — I received no communication from them previously on this issue) and 2) the fact that my contract would be in effect until the end of the year was not their fault but the fault of their billing company. I felt blind-sided and under-appreciated, but instead of unloading on them, I asked to see my contract. That was almost two months ago. Since then, I’ve been charged for another two months that I did not agree to pay for. Despite asking for the contract multiple times, I still have not been able to review the contract I signed to know whether this was a misunderstanding on my part or if they’re full of it. Meanwhile, I have no way to contact anyone besides emailing again. It’s been unbelievably frustrating and demeaning. If you decide to go to their gym, pray that you never need to talk to a person about your membership.
Knockout Fitness changed my life for the better! I really wanted to focus on getting in shape and feel motivated inside and outside of the gym and that is exactly what Knockout provides. The workout classes are incredible and really allow you to target a full body workout. They are also very fun and change every time, so it’s not the same workout. The trainers are amazing to, they really care about each member of their gym. They support you along the way. I’ve seen awesome results and my friends did as well which is why 6 of them have joined!
I’ve been going to Knockout since 2013 and I absolutely love it. Trainers are awesome, the classes are fun and challenging, and the environment is great. There are a variety of classes and you’ll never do the same class twice so it keeps it fresh and motivating.
Knockout pushes me each class to be better. The different trainers all have a unique style to their classes, which makes it so your workout never gets repetitive. Additionally, Ive watched countless people come to this gym as a newbie and by the end of a couple months, theyve made new friends. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a place to work hard and have fun.
Amazing gym. Definitely a place to burn calories and meet good people. Highly recommend.
Great boxing gym! I’ve been going now for a year and a half and they have been worth every penny. Be warned, this is a boxing gym, so if you sign up looking for treadmills and elliptical machines, you will be disappointed (as I have noticed many of the negative reviews focus on). But the trainers are super friendly and have loads of experience getting people of all kinds into the best shape of their life using minimal equipment (mostly resistance bands and some light weights, a lot of body weight exercise). So try the free intro class, sign up, and take a couple of classes. They are almost constantly running a sale on class packs!
A great workout from a great team! If you like a real boxing workout, then this is the place.
This place has no morals, principles, or values ... this time of Covid tried to keep my daughter locked into a contract.....she hasn’t been to one class... after paying for a whole year....
Great classes, high energy, challenging workout
Really unique gym and classes that’s definitely a 5/5 in my opinion. The reason I like it over a traditional gym, such as planet fitness, is for three reason. One, you’re doing a workout that’s coordinated by an instructor so there’s no messing up the technique or lack of encouragement so for me it helps motivate me to actually do a real workout whereas at planet fitness I don’t usually push myself to the edge; hence no progress for me there. It’s similar to when you played a sport, you have the whole team there doing it and so you don’t want to be the only one not doing it even though you feel like dying. Two, they are also teaching you how to box which basically is teaching you self defense. I think it’s a good thing to know how to throw a punch from professional boxers, that’s definitely a skill you’ll probably need some day.Three, you aren’t in a place where everyone has their headphones in and aren’t talking to each other. When you go to a traditional gym you usually work out by yourself. With these classes they’re playing really good music on nice speakers throughout the gym and you’re in a class with other people so it’s nice being able to socialize too.So basically I like that you’re getting three things out of your workout versus just getting one thing, a traditional workout. And there’s no bs you go there for an hour and you’re dead after so it’s great for me because I have a busy schedule. I just started and I’m looking forward to getting my butt kicked into shape there. Definitely at least try their free class, that’s what I did and I ended up joining.
My husband and I were in town to visit family. We stopped in for the 9:30 fight class on Saturday and we loved it! It was a mix of HITT and boxing. We will definitely take a drop in class again if we get the opportunity next time we are in Baltimore!
I started as a personal training client a year ago. I began with one session a week and within two weeks was up to four sessions because I was so excited about the changes I was seeing. The trainers were so dedicated to my fitness and overall well being. I felt so motivated and so supported. My workouts were always changing. I never knew what I was going to be doing. I never became bored. This gym has changed my life entirely - not only my body. I am now employed with Knockout Fitness and although I am not personally trained anymore, I take the classes at least three times a week. The classes are always challenging and always fun. Every trainer pushes you past what you thought you could do.I would recommend Knockout to anyone that is looking to be challenged or anyone that is tired of the same workout routine. You wont regret it!
Easily the best gym in baltimore!!! both locations are super nice and the trainers are amazing. the fact that its so community based is so important and part of what drives you to work out so much there!! ive made so many friends through this gym and gotten into actual shape!!!!!!!!! the cost of a membership is FULLY worth it.
I’ve never written an online review for anything in my life...but I felt it was important to share how much unable I am to recommend this business to anyone, which is unfortunate, because from a training aspect I think they are good, but the business operations are an absolute nightmare.
I have been going to Knockout for years, and one of the things I love about it most is that it never gets boring. The trainers switch up the classes and schedule enough to keep your body and mind on their toes in order to prevent the dreaded “work out plateau” that happens when you just do the same thing over and over for a long time. I also love that each trainer has their own unique style. I definitely recommend this gym!
Best workout anywhere. Knockout Fitness classes are great for any fitness level, and have visible improvements on strength and physique. The trainers are really nice and encouraging but definitely push you to work hard--really hard. Every class is different, and both the technique classes and fitness classes are the best hour-long workouts Ive ever had.
I have been working out with Knockout Fitness for the past 4 months and it has been great. Never a dull moment, different types of routines, some classes mixed with boxing. All of the trainers, Jason, Chris, Jeff, and Jerome create a great atmosphere during the workouts and challenge you within your limits. I took my boo with me for this morning workout and she said:what happened to your calves, they have never been so defined. So yeah, I am glad I chose this gym.
I got so bored with doing the same routine at the gym. Knockout Fitness opened and I decided to try it out since its only a couple streets down from my house. The workouts are intense, but really great. The trainers know what they are doing and are awesome to work with. They change up the classes every time and I feel like I get an incredible workout every class I go to. There is something for everyone - whether you are in great shape, or just starting to workout for the first time. The area is clean and the equipment is new. I would recommend Knockout to everyone!
This gym is incredible. I have been a member here for 4 years and dont plan on switching gyms anytime soon. They have recently remodeled the gym adding state of the art cardio equipment, new hammer strength machines and a fantastic cross-fit area. Anyone moving to the greater Baltimore area should absolutely check out this gym!
Great trainers lead fun and challenging classes. Fantastic prices if you are willing to commit and get the most out of them by purchasing a long-term discounted membership.
The gym might seem intimidating at first, but the friendly instructors and members make it the perfect place for all fitness levels. In 9 months, I have not had the same workout twice, and even though no two workouts are the same, all of the workouts push me incredibly hard for the entire hour. Theyre also the most fun Ive ever had working out. Try your first class (its free!) and see for yourself!
Its rather simple. Three months, 2x a week, no dieting, and nothing else added - Ive lost 15 lbs. Aside from the results, the trainers are awesome and I have never had the same work out twice.
I came here for the free lesson and it was a great experience but I ultimately decided against joining because my schedule is hectic and I prefer working out when I want (and can) instead of at specific times when classes are offered. If you dont mind the class-oriented nature of this place, which has A LOT of benefits, this is a great place to go.
I really like this gym because it is very accessible to my work. After office hours, I go here to do my workouts. The trainers are very accommodating. They help me a lot in losing weight.
Great boxing Gym, The Staff is Amazing ‼️
I love to workout and was getting tired of running on the treadmill and taking the same classes each week. I was looking for a change in my routine and Knockout Fitness is just what I was looking for! Classes get right to the point and you are breaking a sweat within the first 5 minutes. There is no complex choreography and no worries if you are on beat of the music during the classes. The atmosphere is very fun and everyone works hard. You get a total body workout during circuit training and use of the bags. Nothing says stress relief like punching a bag or hammering a tire! Chris and Pat push you to work your best and are awesome motivators! I definitely would recommend Knockout Fitness for all fitness levels looking for a fun environment to get in great shape!
Workouts are hard but super fun! (Totally addicting) The only workout that will truely give you the body you want
Full body workout every class, something different every class, and when you leave you feel like youve accomplished something. Very fun and friendly environment, Id recommend this to anyone looking for something beyond 45 minutes on the eliptical.
The instructors are great and the workouts are challenging. I love it!
Gym owner is rude, condescending and ill mannered. Steer clear of this establishment.
I absolutely love working out at Knockout Fitness, I always hated the conventional gym because running on a treadmill happens to be the most boring workout ever.. And I do not recommend CrossFit ladies - it bulks you up instead of slims you down and its always the same workouts. Knockout Fitness is your best bet because it involves cardio-type exercises like boxing, ladders & sprints, as well as circuit training exercises to increase muscle. We use kettle bells, medicine balls, ropes, TRX bands, jump ropes, and much more.. its ALWAYS different which is why I love it. And whats great is you can go your own pace, so for new members & beginners - theres no pressure whatsoever. I recommend trying Knockout Fitness if you want to reach your fitness goals! Ive been a steady member for 2 years now and I will never go back to a regular gym. Go try your first class - ITS FREE!
Classes were too short for what we were paying per month. They are scheduled to be an hour but they all started late by five to ten minutes and ended early by five to ten minutes leaving forty five minutes tops of quality class work. I just think for $140 a month we wouldnt miss out on 25% of what we were paying for.The gym downstairs was so minimal and bare, too, that it didnt make sense to show up just to work out on our own so the classes were the only option. And their business processionalism is so poor and amateur that we got charged collectively hundreds of dollars extra over a miscommunication about canceling our memberships. I never got in touch with anyone over the phone but had to communicate only through emails and when I tried to leave voicemails I only got text messages back? Weird. So when oh did explain the miscommunication they were stubborn and cold refusing to rescind any payment request, which they use through a 3rd party billing company, which is also pretty weird, they showed no compassion even though we hadnt used their services in over a month.Do not sign up. You will be disappointed by the classes and will be forced to pay your way out of it.
