Edit, 01.23.2021 - Body xchange is closing their Calloway/Rosedale location this week and forcing members into smaller gyms with less staff. The smaller gyms usually have a limits of 60 to 70 persons due to Covid-19 rules. (Remember youre lock in a contract when youre standing in line outside the gym)Less staff means more people working out that feel that theyre special, meaning that they dont have wear their mask correctly or wipe down equipment after use, because no one on staff will tell them anything.Body xchange is selling some equipment on January 30th and John O. is in charge of this sale of equipment. John O. is email only to schedule an appointment. Oh, hopefully you know that equipment sales are by appointment only. If youre not purchasing bulk (many) pieces of large equipment youll get a slow response in the form of a cut & paste email to ask for an appointment.So how is it that some prime single pieces of equipment are already marked as sold? Before the 30th? So if you want a single piece of equipment John O. doesnt respond too fast or in a friendly and helpful manner. John O. has been slow, rude and reluctant to provide information about the sale of equipment, so how much cash Im supposed to bring if no pricing is given? That forces you into a take it or leave it situation, which means more than likely equipment will be overpriced.Plant Fitness is looking better and better.Lower monthly rate with more hours to workout. Without the mask-less meatheads.Things have changed at Body xchange.

Body Xchange has done a great job during uncertain times. They have gone above and beyond to make sure conditions are safe, clean and as normal as possible. Thanks for fighting the fight so we all have somewhere to continue to strengthen our body and mind.

I cannot recommend avoiding this business strongly enough. They have a predatory sales staff, they have a policy to never refund money, and surprise fees. Really bad people.

Wife and I absolutely love this gym! The gym has everything you could possibly need to get the best work out! The staff is all very friendly and the best part about it is the kid care! My kids help keep my wife and myself motivated because theyre always asking to go every morning! By far money well spent each month.

The gym is nice clean and well equipped.. cancellation policy is definitely designed to get you with extra fees. Read the fine print on any classes. Charges coming in a month after I last used the place AND I was charged for training classes I never used. They got me for over 150 on that. Not a ton of money but I have issues with paying for classes that I never took. Really disappointing because I really liked the gym itself but felt that I should not patronize a place that had screwed me on charges.

Didnt even allow me to try the gym, basically wanted my money and wouldnt even give an opportunity to try gym. Wouldnt recommend, seems they just want money. Thankfully Bakersfield is home to great gyms like Awesome Fitness who gave me the opportunity to work with them.

Great gym, the employees are helpful and kind. The membership prices are great. This is a gym to be worked out in definitely!!

Its nice e and big, but good luck trying to find some weights to use on the benches.... Ive left twice because all the weights were gone, but not even half the machines were being used. It used to be really good, but I dont know what happened.

Nice place to work out its clean and has everything i need it does get packed but olive is the one i like its clean and friendly

This place has a huge range of cardio options and a basket ball court. But if your looking for a free weight section this gym is okay. The flow of the gym needs to be rethought out.

Okay, Ive been having problems with Body Xchange for a couple of months. I wanted to cancel, but they told me I had to do it at the club I enrolled at. So I showed up once, and they were closed.I googled their hours, and google told me that the location was permanetly closed.I called the east side location where I had been going, they said yeah, its closed. Call corporate. And gave me the number.Corporate is a message service. You leave a message, and they never call back.I ended up getting a collections letter.I called ABC Financial, who is the collections company. They told me, yes, it closed, they transferred your membership to a new location, and gave me the number.I call new location. New location, is original location, and they NEVER closed!!So I complained to the lady on the phone, that I am SOOO not paying 64$ in back fees that I shouldnt be liable for. She informed me that apparently every person I spoke to, is a moron. But that I would have to pay the back pay, because they cant cancel an account with a balance.Im just sitting here, like, wowed by the level of dumb. Not of the girl I talked to, but in general.

One of the best Body Xchange in town. Its never to crowded and can get out work out done with out having to wait around for equipment.

I like the amountbof equipment they cram i to a small gym, but rosesale location needa to step up their cleaning game. It just feels dirty in there. I once saw a a straw wrapper and a freakin q-tip in the eliptical cupholder!!! Allen and olive are the best/cleanest locations

Like this body xchange because its one of the biggest or it is the biggest in Bakersfield. They have all the machines needed to get your workout on...

Its a good local gym, lots of locations at an affordable price. This location can get pretty busy but havent had too much trouble working out, might have to change my routine a bit but overall a good spot.

Solid selection of equipment, and while it can be crowded at peak times(but what gym isnt?), I never have much of an issue getting on the equipment I want.
