Best towing company to have your car towed at 3am from a handicap parking spot while you have a valid handicap placard π€©
Well they did just do their contractual job by towing my handicapped sisters car. You have to call 1 hour ahead to pick up the car and then still wait about another 20 minutes for them to run your payment. Fairly nice. No damage to the car.
Good service, wasnt a nightmare, costly but all additional fees were explained and sensible do to the service they provide our community. 4 stars do to my car being boxed in so I had to wait an extra 15-20 mins but driver did not hesitate to move cars out of way so I could get access to mine.keep up the good work guys.
Tell your worker J.G to not please write on my cars windows with remarks just bc you towed my car. If you want to write stay home, I was in my home where it go towed. dumb double headed sleaze
It isnt their fault my car was towed. Getting your car towed always sucks and I imagine they get a lot of crap from everyone. I approached them in a calm and rational manner, didnt argue, and was polite as a midwesterner should be. I asked them to explain the charges as $200 for a 5 mile tow that was on the lot for less than 2 hours seemed excessive. I was instantly met with rudeness, hostility, and a complete lack of answers. And when I asked to look at my car to make sure there were no damages and the lady just walked away from me mid conversation. No explanation no apologies. When she walked back a few minutes later she told me to get my car right now or an extra 25$ would be added to the fee. When I paid I was begrudgingly allowed to collect my car from 3 men who treated me with the suspicion that I assume was a carry over from their prison days.On the plus side they at least did not damage my car or steal anything out of it. Sadly those are the only positive things I can say.
Kind of run down, but friendly. If you have to take someone here to pick up their car, take a vehicle with good clearance and suspension. The attendant was kind and respectful, but they need some work done on their driveway.
They took MY VEHICLE out of MY (reserved) SPOT and charged me 100 dollars. Idiots. Thats all that can be said.
Honestly, getting towed sucked, but its not like Elite Towing were the jerks in the situation. The girl working here was very nice and they were quick to get me my car back. I think she probably gets yelled at a lot and thats not cool.
I cant knock them for doing their job, no matter how painful it is to pay $192 to get your vehicle back! Reason Im giving them less stars is because if you piss them off, they actually take longer. I took my friend over to get her car that was towed at 2am. She was complaining and upset, and well they took about 2 hours to release her car. I live basically across the way, and I didnt get home until 4:10am.
If yall ever want to be even remotely close to a reputable company, start hiring individuals who DONT lie to customers. Complete sleaze. Wouldnt wish an interaction with Elite towing on my worst enemy.
Worst service ever. First time visitor of Austin that had the unfortunate incident of parking in a dark area with low visibility signs. I made it to the towing facility 20 minutes before the 12 hour window and they made me stand there for 30 minutes so they could charge me the extra day. Turned $120 charge into $240. Ultimate price gouging and blatantly so.Id never support this business in anyway if I can help it.
This company came in my apartments... put a sticker on my car and took pictures- told me I have 13 days to get my registration fixed... um excuse me? are yall now the police? you dont have rights to be in my apartments or have rights to tow my car.Ill be contacting the BBB on this company. They should be sued.
I honestly think this is the only company that deserves 0 stars. I found my car had been taken and still cant get a person to pick up the phone or give me a call back to see if its at this lot 29 hours later!
My car was being hooked up to a tow truck as I walked up to where I parked it. I asked the driver to stop, as he hadnt finished tightening the straps on the wheel lift (using that is key to the story later) nor put the tow lights on the car. He kept working even after he realized it was my car and told me I had to pay a $50 drop fee, though according to TX law the car wasnt ready to be towed and he couldnt charge me. Due to needing my car, we paid the fee. (Official complaint filed with state this morning.)Now for the fun part. My car is an old Triumph. You NEVER use a wheel lift type of tow truck for these cars, especially the rear suspension. The wheel lift arm ended up lifting my car via the exhaust system, ruining the custom fabricated mounts, the pipe, and also made the entire system loose. It rattles against the body, and has leaks at the joints now. It also ruined a universal joint on the right halfshaft (part of why you never tow by the rear wheels on these cars, or you use a flatbed) which will entail pulling the entire right rear suspension out of the car, as well as draining and then refilling the brake system. Not a ten minute job.Lastly, when the driver put the tow lights on my hood, he leaned on the far end (from him) putting a beautiful dent into the lip of my hood. Now it rubs the bulkhead and needs to go to a body shop to have the metal straightened.I called Elite and the woman who answered the phone began arguing with me about what constitutes a drop fee vs no drop fee situation, then half-heartedly took my message, so when Kym called an left a message she only mentioned the u-joint, not the dent, not the exhaust damage. This shall be interesting.
They came and put a ticket on my car at 4 in the morning, expecting me to have come out and seen it in the middle of the night, and then they towed my car within the hour after that. When I called them, they couldnt say anything other than it was parked where it shouldnt have been and we didnt place any tickets on your vehicle but when I was shown pictures of my vehicle from the office, there was clearly a ticket stuck on the window, that was different from the one the neighborhood community distributes. The woman on the phone basically chalked her ignorance up to her just coming in at noon so once I asked to speak to someone who might be a little more knowledgeable, she put me on hold for two minutes, then got back on the phone and proceeded to tell me their towing charge. Not answering any of my quetions. Terrible company. I think almost any towing company are nothing but sleazy people.
Went out of town Christmas day returned New Years day. Car was in the parking lot before I left gone when I returned. Company said it was labeled inoperative. So towed it. I guess the company. Does not remember folks take vacation over the holidays.
The law requires them to take Credit Card payments. They told me cash only, when I challenged them on that, they said our credit card machine is down. I dont believe them, someone should report them to the police. After I contacted my property manager because the signing in the parking lot did not meet requirements, they released my vehicle for free.
Towed my vehicle right from my own apartments with the sticker permit in the dashboard.
Had to pay $200 for my new truck that was towed not even 4hours ago. When I arrived to the place the guys just standing around like a bunch of body guards. T lady threatened to put me on an hour holding time what is that? Dont they charge by the day? Because I was explaining to her how this was wrong that my vehicle got towed from my apartments that I live at and pay rent at. The towe company never towes any cars in my apartment complex, when there is people parked in the wrong places but they towe my vehicle. Now Im late for work.
They posted a sign at my apartment in the no parking areas damaged my vehicle. Ok so manager comes out doesnt even look at my vehicle for the towing company and says he sees no damage. Watch out for the apartments they are contracted at they will damage your vehicle even just putting up a sign much less towing your vehicle that would be a nightmare.
Yesterday my truck was towed for being parked in reserved parking. However it was towed from a non reserved parking area. The very rude woman said she had pictures, which I did too. I also have 3 witnesses that saw it. As the man was pulling my truck off I was trying to run and catch up (6 months pregnant) and when he saw me he ran jumped in and pulled my truck off screeching. So not only did they tow it for no reason, but had it hooked up wrong and damaging my truck!!!!!
For a company that towed my cousins Toyota for parking in my wifes apartment without a permit, the receptionist was nice and understanding about everything.
Never Never Trust these guys.....!!!!!! I call these guys scammers..... No wonder they charge without pputting a notice..The lady on the phone was horrible, smoking pot kind of lasy...Very rude to any person at the window. They want money thats it. Otherwise u r nothing. 200$ for towing?. My friend just came by at night for staying that night and it costed him 200$. He might have slept in a P.Suite with it. You guys are filthy gross .
Good place
Terrible company, towed my car without telling me and held it for 10 days until I realized it was gone from my apartments all because my tire was messed up. Super expensive and basically stole my car without saying a word. Screw you guys
This place is horrible! They only take cash or a credit card matched to your ID. They do not work with you at all, and they make all their money by doing tow aways.
They illegal towed my car. After confronting my apartment manager, they called Elite Towing & Recovery. They ended up removing all charges and releasing my vehicle to me. My apartment complex told me that the towing company could no longer tow a vehicle that was parked in the spot I was towed from. These people are scum of the earth and should be locked up.
Works deals with apartment complexes to tow cars that havent moved for a few days. Employees are rude and the cost is outrageous. Trash
They caused damage to my car when they towed it. If you need help in filing a lawsuit against these guys, contact me.
Absolute scumbags. Towed my car 1st day in my new apartment in front of my own garage.
I called them to tow a vehicle that was parked in my assigned parking (that I pay extra for each month). After over an hour of waiting, I called them and the dispatcher Jonathan that answered the call was very rude, and refused to send out a tow truck to our complex. How is your company contracted with an apartment complex but have no deciency to pick up vehicles in assigned parking only? I will be following up with Kim the manager in regards to this situation.
They took my car without letting me know. Super expensive and rude.
White trash with authority....Ill leave it at that.
Prices rise after first 12 hours. Didnt mention this over the phone. Credit card machine wasnt functional, had to pay in cash.
Terrible towing company. I will never use again or allow anyone at my shop to ever use them again.
A complete rip off, the employees are rude, and break local ordinances often
Im so glad TDLR has finally shut them down!
1-star for towing a disabled family members vehicle that was legally displaying a permanent handicap placard while parked in a handicap parking spot after transporting the disabled individual home.
$192.00 what the hell....... complete scam but i know its business.......They have a contract with zip codes 78729 AND 78728. Sooooo, watch your back.!
They have extreme difficulty with answering their phone
These people are terrible in the worst way. Will take you forever to get your car. do not park near Woodrows off Burnett in no parking areas. These people are EVIL!!!
The woman working the phones is incompetent.
Rude customer service.
They do their job.
These people sucks
I wish cancer on them
Damn rats!!!
Bad service, they ask you to arrive soon and when you arrive they make you wait 30 minutes
