I am a new patient who transferred from out of state. My previous dentist office was in a small town and I loved the staff so much I thought I’d never find a good one again. I was wrong! The staff here were so friendly and thoughtful and thorough. Im not sure what all the best technology is these days but all the equipment seemed up to date. The office was clean and so close to where I live. Making an appointment was easy and the office took care of everything with insurance. Walked away with VERY clean teeth and a sweet goodie bag!

Dr. Owens and his staff are top notch. I got in as a new patient within 2 days, got my crown procedure done a week later. They are super friendly, knowledgeable, and laid back. Dr Owens has a conservative approach to resolving dental issues. I was given an estimate that was covered well by the front. Shout out to Susan and Paula too!Also, I am a dental weenie! And they took great care of me. Dr Owens is slow, steady, and has a calming presence.Bringing my 12 year old son with me in a few weeks for a dental cleaning while I get my permanent crown applied. I wanted to test them out before bringing my son so he has a good experience (bad experiences caused me dental fear into adulthood). This is our new family dentist.

Ive been a patient of Dr. Owen/ Spicewood Dental for about 2 years, referred by my wife, whos been a patient there for many years. I first visited for a cleaning and checkup, which went well. Everyone was friendly, courteous and seemed proficient at what they do. By my third visit we scheduled to replace two existing crowns Id had for years. Ive had five crowns put on in the past, but I gotta tell ya, the two Dr Owen put in went smooth and flawless. The final fitting was near perfect, needing only a minimal adjustment. They were in place in a matter of minutes and I was out the door. No followups were necessary. Everyone in the office is so nice. Some folks will just tell you that, but I really mean it. If you have insurance Paula will file the paperwork, a courtesy not all Dental offices offer. Dr Owen always greets you with a smile and asks how youre doing. If you have an emergency, the staff will work you in. In my opinion, Spicewood Dental is a cut above the rest, and Ive tried many.

We loved this office. The staff was wonderful and welcoming. The office was clean and spacious. Booking was a breeze. We will be returning with our family. The only complaint I have is not receiving a quote before hand. Had I not asked for a quote after the first set of imaging was done I would have paid 4X’s what I was expecting for a cleaning appointment. End results- 179$ for images and an evaluation - I left with no cleaning.

I moved to Austin a few months ago and was looking for dental care near my apartment. It didnt take me much time to decide to try Spicewood when I saw good reviews online.I really have no complaint about my first visit for routine oral exam/teeth cleaning. Sarah was careful and thorough with the cleaning, and explained each of the procedures and the condition of my teeth/gum with great patience. She is pleasantly chatty and talked a lot about the city, food, and things to do, which I as a new Austinite find very useful.Everyone I met was efficient and I was glad that there was almost no wait during my entire visit.

I have been coming here for over 10 years now. Dr Owen and his team are caring and professional. Marlee my dental hygienist is fantastic. They have taken great care of my teeth and I highly recommend them!

Excellent first experience here. Its been a while since Ive been to the dentist and I was nervous about getting a lecture from my hygienist (which I would totally deserve!) But my hygienist Susan couldnt have been nicer -- non-judgmental, explained everything, and easy to chat with. Plus I got a lovely first-timer bag with great products. Saw Dr Owen briefly and really liked him too. Highly recommended.

I was looking for a new dentist near by my home and basedon the review, I chose Spicewood Dental. I had a pleasant experience on my first visit, the front desk, nurses, and the doctor are very nice. My hygienist Marlee does a terrific job. Shes thorough, personable and shes patient with my tricky built in retainers. She also doesnt hurt me which is really important. The office is well run and Dr. Owen and his staff are very friendly. I highly recommend Spicewood Dental!

Dr Owens is a really great guy that uses the latest technology to make the visit comfortable and as painless as possible. I just got a crown and it was the best experience I’ve ever had getting one. Dr. Owen is a very gentle dentist. He and his staff do a good job of making an uncomfortable procedure (such as getting a filling or a crown) as comfortable as possible. Dr. Owen embraces new technologies to ensure high quality results and a comfortable experience. I dont like going to the dentist, but I dont mind going to see Dr. Owen and his team.

Great experience. Everyone is friendly and there’s no oversell for services not needed. Marlee did a great job cleaning my teeth & Dr Owen examined my teeth afterward. They contacted my previous dentist in another town and got copies of the ex-rays that we’re done 6 months ago and saved me some money. Reasonable rates. It was easy to book an appointment online and see options that are available but they’re also very happy to talk on the phone about appointments and answer any questions. Brenda is so rude. She dialed my number looking for a client. She didn’t give me a chance to say anything and went about her monologue. When she finally took a breath I kindly informed her that she had the wrong number. But I was looking for a dentist. I was going to inquire about their services. Instead, she just hung up before I could ask anything! No apology to the wrong number, no have a good day, just a click. The person that clients speak to/see first is the first impression o your business. Y’all might want to rethink your first impression.

They were so kind and thorough. I hadn’t been to the dentist in a few years, and they made it as easy and comfortable as can be.

This was my first visit to Dr. Owen, I was recommended by a close friend, and overall the experience was great. I am pretty on edge around dentists normally and have had bad experiences in the past, but this was totally different. Dr. Owen and his staff seem honest, trustworthy and like they truly care about their patients well-being. i hate hearing stories of people being persuaded into dental work they dont need, or being overcharged for services, but Dr. Owen on first impression seems to actually go with the most conservative approach possible and have fair prices.

Everyone I interacted with at the office was very friendly and kind. I have a lot of anxiety going to the dentist’s office and Dr. Owen was great! He makes sure to keep an eye on any potential trouble areas and check on them at each appointment.

I am 23 years old and I have been a patient at Spicewood Dental for most of my life. Paula the office manager is a wonderful person. All of the Dental Hygienists are gentle and personable. Susan has always been my favorite-- She has been my dental hygienist since I was at least 10 years old! But Spicewood also has a new dental hygienist named Sarah, and she rocks. I miss Dr. Hyden, but Dr. Owen is very knowledgeable. As someone who really doesnt enjoy the idea of getting teeth cleaned, I trust these people and feel comfortable here.

They were able to see me on very short notice with a broken crown. Everyone I dealt with there was very nice and helpful. The doc also did a great job of letting me know what needed to be done and when(didn’t recommend any unnecessary work) and answered all the questions I had with frankness that I appreciate.

Me + three little kids ages 7, 5, 2 were in, out, and happy in about an hour. The staff were great with my kids, who were super excited about the treasure box and choosing their own cartoon. The front end of the office is comfortable and beautiful, with books, toys, and water + Topo Chico available. All in all a great visit!

Best Dentist in town! I was in pain when I called. Understanding the urgency, front office were very compassionate and scheduled me to see Dr.Owen within a day. My experience with Dr. Owen was the best. I felt comfortable with him right away and he was able to diagnose the problem quickly providing me the next course of actions to take. Dr Owen is an excellent dentist who is very gentle as are his long-term hygienists. One doesn’t dread going there. Plus, he doesn’t upsell so you have confidence in the work he recommends.

Dr. Owen has met me on his day off to doctor a tooth I had cracked on a bone ground into my hamburger, and Sarah, one of his 2 great hygienists, works wonders cleaning my teeth in a gentle, thorough way and my moth loves her for it!!

Thorough examines and cleaning. Staff is very friendly. Appointments have always been on time and on occasion have gotten in a little early. Waiting room is comfortable, love the water in the mini fridge in the waiting room.
