I worked with Johnny on the repair retiling and resurfacing the pool. He was very responsive and his team did a great job.Because I liked them so much I hired them to do my regular cleaning. Hutch does a great job. He’s the best pool cleaner I’ve had and I have been through many over the years. Always courteous and on time and the pool has never looked better!

I worked with Johnny at Crystal Clear Pools to renovate my 33 year old in ground pool. This pool was an 80s relic and still had the original surface, coping, tile, and cement patio surrounding it. Throughout the full process Johnny was communicative and made sure the work done was top quality. While there were a few small issues with clean up, I am very happy with the work done. We were able to replace an unused hot tub area with a more modern and useful tanning shelf with a water feature. In addition, the new surface, tile, and coping have completely changed the pool appearance and made it look brand new.I am now happily working with David and Ira on weekly maintenance and cleaning. So far so good!

Crystal Clear has been the contractor working on our neighborhood pool for over 2 months. There have been endless delays and what seem like excuses. The work has dragged out and been has continuously delayed. The pool has been torn apart and barely getting worked on for a month now. I would not recommend them for serious pool repairs because they are not staffed to complete a project in a timely manner and do not seem to plan ahead to keep a project on time. Also, when I called asking for information / an update, their staff was unnecessarily rude.

Ira takes fabulous care of our pool every week. He’s consistent, he keeps us informed and I swear he cares for our pool like it’s his own. We couldn’t be happier.

We had these guys do our pool re-plaster and were very impressed with their service. Chris came out to do the quote and Johnny managed our project. I also communicated with Jennifer for payment and ... cant remember the name of the pool tech who balanced the chemicals, but all were wonderful! Johnnys crew was fast and professional. I was extra impressed they were able to get us scheduled so quickly, since we got our quote before the BIG FREEZE and then moved to schedule the project just AFTER the freeze. Johnny and his team did an amazing job for us! Johnny went above and beyond the call of duty after the winter storm completely ruined all our pool equipment and I had a large outdoor bridal party scheduled a month after --- I knew pool parts were scarce and everyone was demanding things from them ... but Johnny made it his priority to keep track of the job and get everything repaired with the pool looking beautiful before the event. I really appreciate the personal care he put into this job!

My 22-year old pool needed substantial repair due to collateral damage from a different vendor’s pool deck replacement. Johnny and his crew did an excellent job repairing pool, which included beam bond repair, new coping, new tile, new plaster, and pool restart. I am very pleased with their work and my repaired pool looks great. Looks almost brand new.

This is not the review we thought wed be writing for Crystal Clear Pools & Spas after communication breakdowns threatened to waylay our pool renovation. That all changed when Johnny Torres took over the project. The communication improved 1000 percent, which was important because of the unique circumstances of our renovation. In addition, the work got scheduled and completed without a hitch, even with the interruption of Winter Storm Uri and the need to coordinate with other work we had going on. Other members of the Crystal Clear team got the pool chemically balanced after all the work, and Johnny even fixed a leaky pool pump that another company had installed, but couldnt fix. Our renovated pool is beautiful, like a Hill Country swimming hole. We are very well pleased with our experience with Crystal Clear Pools & Spas.

Very disappointed in the receptionist who answered my call today. This company has wonderful reviews, and not many do, so I was excited to find someone who would I could possibly change my weekly cleanings to, as well as have my pool and pool deck resurfaced and my system reviewed and upgraded as needed. The response was you can call and leave a message but someone will probably not get back to you for at least a month. I said, no worries, Im not in a huge rush, but I am taking quotes from other companies as well. I dont mind waiting so I can have this quote in the mix, but can you tell me if they would even have time to get to it later this year? Response: Im not sure. Me: Is there someone you could ask. Her: No, they all work in the field. Me: ok, well I dont need that response right this minute, could you check with someone and let me know in a couple days? Her: I wont remember to call you in a couple days, we are being flooded with client calls right now. Me: How unprofessional and rude. **She simply should have stated that they are too overwhelmed at the moment and are therefore not taking on new clients**. It felt like she was just trying to push me away. Super sad, because as I stated, not many companies have as good of reviews as they do, but after being made to feel that they dont want my business when Im even willing to wait if just one question could be answered, its time to move on to find another company whos receptionist can be a little more understanding and willing to work with you.

Its been about 6 months since weve had our pool and we absolutely love it. It was a HUGE project that needed more than just normal planning. I spoke w/ numerous pool companies, but chose Jimmy and Crystal Clear Pools partly b/c of their quote, but mostly b/c of the good reviews and communication with me. This is a pool built on the side of the mountain that would need tons of concrete and steel. We set expectations about the process and the completion date and all were met. Everyone who sees our pool cannot believe how well it turned out. We are so happy and if Crystal Clear Pools can put this infinity pool on the side of the mountain, then Im sure they can build your pool too.

I really appreciate the great service and customer service I have gotten from Crystal Clear. All of their service technicians have been awesome; with Cameron as my Go to Man for our pool! Cameron is extremely knowledgeable, responsive, friendly, and easy to learn from. We have had maintenance on our pool LED lights, thermostat, and our control panel, and recently had a new heater installed by them. It all works great! And Seth in the main office is great to work with for scheduling and billing. We feel very fortunate to have them here in Austin.

We thought we had a slow leak in our pool and a neighbor highly recommended this company. They fixed his leak five years ago and he thought they were great. I contacted them to provide leak detection. I was frustrated initially because they would not return calls for me to order their service. The initial communication was very poor, but I pushed on because my neighbor spoke so highly of them. We finally booked the appointment after multiple calls. They came, detected where the slow leak. They circled the deck and drilled a small hole. I received a $600 invoice for the leak detection and $1,200 bid to have them do the work. No calls from them to explain what they found afterward. I just receivd an email with 2 invoices. I called and discussed the leak. I told thew will promptly pay the $600 (which I did). Then would call them back after discussing the repair work with my wife. We were already to hire them to complete the repair. I called and left a message. NO RETURN CALL. I then emailed the person who sent the invoice (Seth) and never heard from them. Considering what I already experienced when scheduling the leak detection, I stopped myself and thought..Why am I chasing this company to hire them? I am the customer. I had to chase them to hire for the leak detection and now I am chasing them to hire and complete the repair. What is the experience going to be like if I hire them to do the work and something goes wrong and need them to come back?? I already know the answer to that question, so reaching out to one of their competitors. This company obviously does not value their customers.

Mike with Crystal Clear Pools is great. He is very knowledgeable and has repaired multiple different parts of my pool equipment (replumbing suction side, heater, etc.). I would definitely recommend using Crystal Clear Pools for any pool issues.

Cameron from Crystal clear pool and spa is absolutely amazing. His knowledge is far beyond anyone I have ever worked with in the pool industry. I have worked with several pool professionals over the past several years. He knows pool construction and equipment setup better than anyone I have ever met. I promise you that with just a 15 minute conversation he will have you convinced. Cameron came out to fix a heat pump issue and in just a few minutes he figured out the problem that two others were not able to troubleshoot. Additionally, was able to help me configure the pool automation. And if that was not enough he offered some suggestion on how I could improve my equipment setup. There was no sales pitch, he was just being helpful. Ultimately I asked him give me a quote and come back to make my system run ever better. Once I hear back from him Ill post the results and a review.

I really liked the design of my pool. It is different than any I have seen so I feel it was somewhat personalized just for me.I have used Crystal Clear for many years not only at my home but with my clients as well. They are professional and I can rely on them for preventative maintenance. There is nothing worse than having something break that could have been avoided if someone had been keeping a watchful eye. Jordan cleans my pool and I couldnt be happier. He is there rain or shine and pleasant to work with. He notifies me of anything additional I may need to know so we have personal contact on any issues. My pool is so nice that is is hard to keep my neighbors out of it!

I used Crystal Clear Pools to install an in-line pool chlorinator, a variable speed pump and a color LED pool light with a new low voltage transformer. Everyone I interacted with there was nice and professional. To be honest, there were some issues with the installation, but I recognize people can make mistakes. The LED light also died right away, which wasnt their fault. The important part is they took care of it and made it right. I contacted them about the install issues and the malfunctioning light and they corrected everything and replaced the light under warranty. Because they took care of all the issues while still being professional, I feel I can recommend them.

I am very pleased with Crystal Clear Pools. They have repaired two leaks and new plaster and deck resurface. They are very responsive if something needs additional attention.

Jeff Vaughn and his team are amazing. We have a short term rental property where we need our pool kept in tip top shape and thats exactly what they do. Our previous service was just not getting the job done and Jeff jumped in and got everything back in order in between back-to-back guest reservations. He follows up with us the day our pool tech is there and lets us know of any maintenance that come up so that we can take care of it before theres an issue. Our pool has never looked better. Very organized system. The second time I used them I received an unexpected email where I could confirm the new appointment. At that point I had fixed the problem myself and was able cancel without making a call. Very convenient.

We had our pool re-plastered in April. Crystal Clear started the project in March but it got caught up in the virus stand-down. Chris stayed in touch throughout and made sure we got a good subcontract for the actual pouring of the cement and quatz. Mike was thorough, consistent and professional in bringing the pool back on-line by treating it for 10 workdays. He never missed. When the coloring was off a little bit with streaking, Johnnie came out and performed an in-pool acid wash. He and his crew were helpful. They patched around the new skimmer basket and helped me get my skimmer lid off near the pump. Pool looks great!All aspects of the company that I dealt with were very professional, knowledgeable and helpful. Thanks to all for making what could have been a very trying experience very positive!

We have used Crystal Clear Pools since the day we moved into our home in 2016. They took our neglected pool from Mt. Dew green to (you guessed it) crystal clear in a matter of days. Our tech Adolfo has become a valued family friend, always responsive and creative when things start to go sideways with our water quality (its an old pool with old equipment). Money well spent!

With only a few days’ notice, Jeff and his team were able to get me scheduled for a weekly cleaning while we left town for three weeks. Two other companies were unwilling to help, especially when I would not commit to a long-term service. While away, Seth noticed a leaking valve, and they were able to repair it before we returned. Their weekly costs were very reasonable, and it felt great to leave town, knowing that we wouldn’t return to a nasty swamp.

Crystal Clear Pools will not start a quote without a credit card on file. Red flag! Charges $150 to do a quote.

We recently renovated a large fountain with Crystal Clear. Id put off doing the project for a long time, because it was complicated enough that other companies had turned down the project! I was losing hope that I could find someone to tackle the job, anxious that it would be very costly, and I had become convinced that even if I found someone, that the aesthetics would be disappointing. But Crystal Clear was amazing from the first contact through the completion of the project. They approached the challenges with such enthusiasm and a positive attitude--pool relief, indeed!! And the price they quoted seemed extremely reasonable given the scope of work. As soon as the crew got into the project, it became clear that the solution that wed agreed upon was just not going to be possible. My heart sank and I again feared the worst! But, once again, Rene and his crew were upbeat and worked incredibly hard to figure out a solution. The project had it all--tricky electrical, reworking drains, patching up masonry, new bond coat and pebble-tec, re-tiling. Rene and his crew did a beautiful job. They were skilled, fast, on time and schedule, reasonable. They are very experienced and it shows in their work. The end result is so much better than Id ever imagined. I cannot recommend them highly enough. Stop reading and call them now! You be glad you did!

According to my wife, if you want the the hunky, sexy, half naked pool guys from the movies.. than this is.................not your place,sorry to disappoint.However, if you want a company with people that are prompt, respectful/polite, knowledgeable and always there to make sure you get to enjoy your pool, these are your guys.. Ive worked with them almost 15 years now and I still communicate with and see the same people. Over this span their guys have built, repaired and cleaned our pool.Most recently our pool looked more like a scene from Swamp Thing.. Chris and Cameron Baird came out constantly to get it up to speed... By constantly I mean weekdays, weekends. whatever it took to get it going.You dont find this kind of service anymore, so its a relief to know it still exists...

Cameron installed a new variable speed pump a few weeks ago and it was working fine, until this morning. I called Cameron and he walked me through the setting process. The pool was back up and running in a few minutes. Seems the pool cleaning person (Adolfo- an excellent person and great pool cleaning pro) had forgotten to punch one button after cleaning (new pump).Cameron really knows his stuff and is easy to communicate with and pleasure to be around.

We have worked with both Cris and Cameron over the past year to resolve a few issues with our pool and equipment. We first worked with Cris for some major repairs, where a crack developed on the pool steps. Cris kept to his timeline and our pool was up and running in short order, ahead of our sons graduation last May. Since then, Cameron has performed repairs for any and all equipment issues. Both Cris and Cameron have excellent customer service and are highly knowledgeable, and make themselves available.

Our pool pump stopped running, we thought it was a simple capacitor replacement. I called Cris (over the weekend, mind you) and Cameron arrived shortly after to diagnose the issue. It ended up the pool pump needed to be replaced. From the initial visit, to quoting, to replacement and the pool working perfectly again was less than 24 hours! Such prompt, accurate and friendly service, these guys are wonderful! I absolutely recommend you call them for all your pool needs.

I am a new pool owner and trying to learn to work the valve system has proven to be a challenge. Yesterday we were attempting to heat both our pool and our spa and somehow managed to begin draining the water from the spa! I was terrified. I called Cris with Crystal Clear in a panic, AFTER regular working hours, and he sent Cameron over immediately! Cameron was extremely knowledgeable as he guided us through how to use our system. He was patient and kind as I asked a million questions to make sure I understood. He even identified some things that were missed on our system and some ways to make it more efficient as well. Love the guys at Crystal Clear and will use them for whatever needs we may have in the future!

I am a realtor here in the Austin area, and have been for the last 10 years...DO NOT use the company for any of your clients inspections! They do not follow through with what they say, and they do NOT do a thorough inspection. My client is now left with a broken heating system due to Crystal Clear Poolsdoing a less than acceptable job

What a great experience I just had. Dale was an absolute expert at correcting the multiple issues I needed fixed.From making the appointment to getting the job done everything ran smoothly. This the third time Ive used them and every time was stellar.

Cameron came out today (arrived 10 minutes EARLY for the appointment) and did a fantastic job solving my problem. Our In Floor cleaner was not removing debris (thanks Hurricane Harvey) from the pool. The skimmers were fine, but the main drain was clogged. Cameron dove the pool to remove the drain cover and then plugged the auxiliary drain - that did it - we are back in business. Dale and Mike came today and Dale was so considerate to call ahead of time and then call me after he had checked out the problem and explained it all to me. I have used Cameron at Crystal Clear Pools several times recently and he has proven to be honest, reliable, professional and knowledgeable. He has gone above and beyond to repair the issues that I had with my pool equipment. I highly recommend him.

While the folks who work here are nice and knowledgeable, I felt they were not upfront about their prices and that I would always find out afterwards what was charged...though very little clarity on what it was for. What was charged was down right outrageous, nearly double of other bids Id of gone with if pricing were transparent. Id hear, oh no worries we will take care of it, then get a $900 bill. Furthermore, my pool school was non-educational and when I told management all I got was sorry but no effort to make it right. I have to say, starting out I was sure Id be a repeat customer but disappointed doesnt even cover it.

I chose Crystal Clear for my first pool repair a few years ago not knowing what to expect. What I got was a company that was very responsive and knowledgeable. Theresa in the front office is always a great help and Cameron, who covers their South Austin customers, is a great guy who is quick to offer advice and ensures that the job is done fast, thoroughly and to your satisfaction. Everyone is a great communicator as well! This all made them the only crew I go to with pool issues and questions. Dont hesitate to give them a call.

We called Crystal Clear Pools when having issues with our pump not working properly and within a couple hours a technician (Cameron) was here troubleshooting the problem. Cameron obviously knew what he was doing and quickly resolved the issue and we were back up and running in no time. In addition, Cameron noticed some minor adjustments we could do to make our equipment run more efficiently and that was very much appreciated. Overall it was a great experience with Crystal Clear and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. We will definitely be using Crystal Clear Pools for all of our swimming pool needs in the future.

My compliments to crystal clear for their prompt reply to my call. Cameron called as promised to coordinate the repair visit, and he showed up on time and dealt with the issue. Inside of ten minutes he diagnosed the problem and commenced the repair. The entire visit was approximately 30 minutes and when he was done the system was working perfectly. My controller went out on a cold, wet winter Austin day. Cameron Baird came out within hours, diagnosed the problem and got us up and running in no time. I called my normal pool service when my pump went out the week of July 4th. As of July 13, they were just too covered up to take care of us. I called Cris at Crystal Clear and he sent his best man Cameron out on a Sunday to take care of me. Thats great service. I started using Crystal Clear Pools & Spas to service my pool toward the end of 2017. Their reviews overall are pretty good. In spite of this, we started noticing spotty service. We got billed once a month for a full months of service, but the technician was not coming every week as agreed. We would call and complain, and things would improve for a little while, but then the service would fade again.Finally, we made a pretty big stink because we had our pool resurfaced in September of 2017, and now it was already stained because they werent keeping it clean. Once we made enough of a fuss, we were told they fired the guy who was supposed to be cleaning our pool. They said it would be no problem to remove the stains, and not to worry. I wasnt worried, until I got a bill for over $500 for stain removal -- stains that were only there because the guy did not clean the pool, which I had also paid for.Over the next few months, our new pool technician was consistent, so we paid the fees and started to regain faith in this company. We got through most of the summer without any issues.But in October/November, we started again noticing that the technician was failing to come for weeks at a time. We would call and complain, then they would clean the pool. The next week, we didnt complain, dirty pool. It was fall, so we had lots of leaves, and with some heavy storms, twigs and branches fell into the pool, where they sat for weeks. It is easy to recognize the same branch in the pool for a couple of weeks in a row. Of course their website says that they perform comprehensive pool maintenance services including the following:Vacuum and Leaf-eat poolRemove Surface DebrisBrush Pool Wall Surfaces...They didnt do any of this, again, for weeks at a time. The holidays were a busy time, so I ended up letting it slide until January.Then, I called and firmly complained. I explained that time and again I am having to pay for service that I am not getting. The next day, my pool was spotless, but they said that because there were so many leaves in the pool gumming everything up, we will have to clean the filter.You guessed it... another $500 charge to clean the filter, which was dirty because they had left the pool unattended for weeks at a time.I spoke to the manager firmly and told him enough was enough, and this was his final chance. He assured me he would randomly check on the house himself to ensure that the work was being done to their specifications. He didnt refund any money for work that I paid for but didnt get, but he did strongly reassure me that I would never experience this issue again.So, as January becomes February, I went out of town for a few days. My pool day is Thursday. On Saturday, I came home to find that the pool was green with algea and plugged up with leaves. Clearly no one had cleaned the pool again this week. But, there in the mailbox was a bill for $313.93 for the work they didnt do.I called first thing Monday and told them they are fired. They say they vacuum the pool, but their guys dont have a vacuum on their truck when they come. If they come at all, they spend at most 10 minutes at the house. They do balance the chemicals, I guess, but they dont do any of the other things listed in their comprehensive maintenance service list.When their neglect gets to the point where the pool is totally disgusting, then they charge you again for actually cleaning it.That may not be everyones experience, but it has been mine. The only good that came out of the interaction is that they agreed to cancel the bill for $313.93.Look at the attached pictures to see how my pool looked on Saturday. Again, Thursday was my scheduled cleaning day, so this was apparently how green a pool can get in two days. You tell me if you think they were providing the services they were charging for...I have switched to another company. The new company cleans the pool weekly, and then sends pictures of the clean pool to verify their work.

I hired Crystal Clear to give me pool school. I was having a hard time finding someone to come out to my house because I live in Cedar Creek and the other people I had helping me kept on not showing up and did not seem to know how to fix things or set the systems up right. Dan came out and He was excellant. He explained how to take care of my pool very clearly with full explanations. he did NOT try and sell me anything extra. It was a great experience and I would call them if I needed anything else done.

Crystal Clear Pools are the best in Austin. Ive had Crystal Clear service my pool for 3 years, its been the same technician and a consistently high standard of professionalism the entire time. I had a service issue over the weekend that caused my filter breaker to trip and got an immediate response with an afterhours repair if needed (which wasnt necessary). The technician Dale kept me informed of his schedule and followed up hours later even to make sure his repair was still working! I recommend them highly and specifically Dales amazing customer service.

Crystal Clear fixed my pool and currently maintain it beautifully: I am completely delighted with them. After bad experiences with two prior pool companies, I was very pleased to find Crystal Clear through NextDoor, and the periodic rampant algal outbreaks I experienced are now yesterdays nightmares.Adolpho, who comes to clean my pool superbly well every week, really knows everything there is to know about pool maintenance. Cris and Cameron - the two systems experts whove worked on my pool - ably fixed the electrical and system board problems with my Jandy pool controller, as well as replacing depleted sand and broken laterals in my pool filter.Hugely recommended. They are a very professional and knowledgeable outfit.
