We are extremely happy with our new pool and and outdoor kitchen. We had a very specific wish list, and they thoroughly delivered. Ill admit we are picky - and we had become exasperated with several companies who sent out a salesman to sell us a pool, instead of listen to what we wanted. Weve had pools before, and we had specific ideas about how we wanted our backyard to be laid out. Designer Pools LISTENED to our wishes, answered our questions, and ultimately exceeded our expectations. We now have the backyard weve always dreamed of - a fabulous pool and spa, a beautiful and functional outdoor kitchen, and a picturesque landscape design. Jealous neighbors? Check! We appreciated the fact we could have ONE company do all this work. Their employees were very attentive to us throughout the entire building process. I highly recommend Designer Pools. No surprise that our neighbors are now getting a pool from Designer Pools - Yes Im talking about YOU Manny!
We love them! Their designs are gorgeous and their customer service is superior. Great communication throughout the process and we would recommend them to anyone looking for a custom pool, spa, and/or outdoor living project.
Designer Pools has been an absolute nightmare to work with. We contracted with them in August 2013 for a pool and it is now October 2014 and our project is still not complete. The pool was just filled with water a few weeks ago (over a year after project signing) and there are still a number of elements of our pool/spa/outdoor space which are still unfinished. We spent an insane amount of money on our pool and expected top-notch customer service and project management, but we received none of that. Aside from the design which Bryan did a great job on, the rest of the project has been awful. Most of the tradesmen they use are not in-house. This means Designer Pools is more or less the general contractor of the pool. As a General Contractor, their primary responsibility is to line up the trades and manage the project. This is where their lack of experience and knowledge comes head on. I had to call, text, email and still have to call, text and email multiple times a week just for something to get done. They dont provide a formal project plan. I had to beg them for one and once they did, their werent any dependencies so when one trade got backed up, the entire project plan became worthless. Additionally, they just wouldnt plan the tradesmen in advance so nothing would ever get done in time.Honestly, as a business owner myself, I would hate for one bad project to ruin the reputation of my company, but I have given Brandon and the rest of the team at Designer Pools several opportunities to change my opinion of them, but they have failed every step of the way. My only hope in writing this review is to save the next person from having a disastrous experience. The one thing my wife wanted with moving down to Texas was a pool and now we have been through an entire year and still dont have a completed one. I just worry what is going to happen when we have a problem during the warranty period.
So much money spent, so many mistakes. LED Lights installed incorrectly and go out every 5-10 hours of use. Pool sweep installed so deep that I have to go swimming to connect/disconnect. Deck started cracking at 5 months and Designer stated that deck was not a warranty item. I have waited 5 months for current warranty work to replace 2 broken lights and a spa blower motor that has never worked. The only thing Brandon has been honest about so far is when he said he would be here in 10 minutes to pick up the check. Horrible experience all together. I should have gone with A&S as my neighbors that did have a perfect experience so far.
