If I could give 10 stars I would, so heres 5 more ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!! This is the best service I ever received at a car shop.. When I called Tiffany was so sweet and very helpful. She was able to quote me an exact price and honored that price also. She explained things to me that I didnt even know about my car, and tools me what oil is for my car and which isnt. Shes so very helpful and friendly. It was no appointment required and no wait time when I arrived (I went at 11am on today, Monday). It was the fastest oil change Ive ever had, barely 5 minutes!! And the best part is working with a female who understands how women are taken advantage of at auto repair shops. I really, really cant say how much I appreciate Tiffany and her shop!!.. as long as Im in Austin I will only go here!!!!

Vehicle inspection Tuesday through Friday 8:30 to 11:00am. They are very knowledgeable. They also do oil changes while you wait in car or in their lobby. If they make any recommendations. Listen to them. On a previous car they found my oil leak came from an oil pressure valve(?). (It was 2 years ago but I may have said the part wrong). There was oil all over my car engine. The mechanic suggested I wash the engine (and told me exactly where to wash it) come back. I did he told his to tech to tell him if it was leaking from top or the bottom. It was the top. The part was like 13 bucks and 10 to put in. Every where else I took my car said “just top it off” or it is the seal in the engine or we don’t know or the oil pan seal. I went to several shops and lube places. These guys here at Castrol lube properly diagnosed the problem, fixed the problem. Today I am here with my car. It is a standard transmission. They didn’t bat an eye that it wasn’t automatic. I got my inspection and my oil change. I’m also getting a 12.99 flush because it will help make it cleaner. And I trust this shop.

Folks are always quick and helpful. The price is very reasonable.

They broke my girlfriends glovebox and refuse to admit it. Tiffany the admin there provided no help. She avoided me and the big goof who broke the glove compartment refused to be honest. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!!! Horrible customer service

Unprofessional and disrespectful.I was more than two years loyal customer but on my last visit the staff changed and they were very slow it took them 1:15 minutes for one suv nissan which was in front of me .then i said what happened today you took so long time to do one car ? Which it was 10 minutes before one of the employees turned to me and he said we do not care about your time, we are doing our job, you can go where ever you want and then he continued just pull out we do not give you service. He told to the lady to write my plate number Then i left and they put my car on no service in their location.i came after couple of days and they said we can not give you service .

These guys rock. Called/visited 5 different jiffy lubes with no luck getting an oil change and inspection. These guys got both done in less than 45 minutes. Never going back to jiffy lube. Eric and Jose are my heroes!

Came back and am updating a negative review. These guys are great. Catered to me and my dog while we sat in our car. I was unjustified in my preconception, I would insist my mother visit this place and know she wont be taken advantage of.

MOST DISRESPECTFUL PEOPLE. If I could give this negative starts I would!!! I came here yesterday and was treated with nothing but disrespect. I was nothing but nice to them from the start. I don’t know much about cars but that has never been a problem when going to get my oil change in other places. Usually In other places they help me and recommend an oil for my car in a nice manner and things go by nicely. I came here and from the start the lady looked like she didn’t know what she was doing. She asked what oil I used and of course I didn’t know since I just got the car. I called my father and he didn’t know either but said that they should know from my plates or the vehicle model. I told her this. She went and found a man who also worked there. And told him something quietly. He started talking in the rudest tone as If talking to me but never directed his words towards me, only to the lady. Even tho I was right in front him!!! He kept saying he couldn’t made the decision for me in the rudest tone. I wasn’t asking for his decision on what oil to use for my car I just wanted a recommendation on what they believed was best. Once he left the lady started naming what oils they provide to make my decision. I was so disgusted my their rudeness that I kindly told her that I decided to just change the oil myself at home. I put my hood down and got in my car. My window was open and I was still parked. As soon as I got in my car the lady went to the guy and he start yelling and talking about me and they both where laughing at me. I WAS LITERALLY STILL THERE and can hear everything they where saying. I was 6 feet away. If I wasn’t nice I would have asked for their names and complained. I know people can have bad days but this guy was just disrespectful and rude. Don’t know his name, but he was a tall Hispanic man with prescription glasses and tattoos. And the lady was skinny and red haired. Never EVER coming here again. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Completely unprofessional and disrespectful of my time. Sat in line for an hour, the mechanic tells me to come back in half an hour because the car in front of me was going to take a long time. I came back to a full line and the mechanic expects me to go to the back of the line. Get your story straight and learn to respect your customers time.

I always get my oil changed here and have for years.They do really good and quick oil changes. The only reason Im not giving 5 stars is because their friendliness/customer service could use a little work.

No issues. They were pretty friendly and got my oil changed quickly. Stood in the garage a minute and talked about what would be best for the vehicle, they offered suggestions and got to work as soon as I made my decision. Took less than 15 minutes. Full disclosure - I got there at 10:30am on a Monday because I had they day off work. If you go and there are vehicles ahead of you, obviously, it will take longer and the staff wont have as much time to chat.

Have been coming here for years for different vehicles. For newer models but most recent a 95 model 4runner. Apparently it was corrosive and he just slapped a new one on. Easy peasy. Good oil!

The staff was very thorough and professional. Explained in detail all that was going to be performed and even offered to top of my transmission fluid. They were fast and thanked me for coming in today. I felt very welcomed and not rushed out the door like sum other places. Props to Jeffery and Jesse at the Oltorf location. You guys are a great asset to the company.I highly recommend Castro Premium Lube Express on Oltorf. Ill be back for my inspection next 👍

Outstanding place to change your oil very nice people

I had a great experience today while getting my state inspection done. This was the only place I could find open on a Sunday that was doing the inspections so I drove across town to make it in. They were super busy, but the guy who greeted me was fast and very nice. The guy who did my inspection was also very nice and did things quickly. In and out in 30mins even with how busy they were. Great experience!!

I love this place. Come early in the morning and they do a great job with inspections and oil changes and pretty much anything else. They explain in detail and its always a speedy service. Great staff too. All of them here are awesome who work here.

Dont waste your time at this place. When I arrived the two garages had a car each so I parked behind the one that was easiest to pull in. The stop sign said to wait for the service agent. I waited for 5 minutes and I was about to leave, then a woman approached me and asked directly, Oil change? I said yes and she went inside. Meanwhile another car parked next to me and behind the other garage. The same woman came out right away. Then the car drove to the side of the building and I couldnt see it anymore. I thought they didnt have time to wait. A couple of minutes later they finished with the car that was in the garage next to mine. I thought they were going to ask me to pull in. I waited. A mechanic came out a couple of times and I was waiting for his signal to pull in. Then, the car that had left just a few minutes before came back and pulled in into the empty garage. The woman came outside and I thought she was going to tell me it was only going to be another minute. I rolled down the window but she just walked pass by me. I waited a few more minutes to give them the benefit of the doubt but when they started working on the car that had come after me, I just left. Clearly they have a lot of business so they dont care about losing clients. Good for them...If you dont want to waste your time, stay away! ZERO STARS

Castrol Lube is the closest State Inspection location, but I will not return. The inspection took longer than I have ever waited even though I was behind just one vehicle already in the station. The small window-type A/C in the waiting room was blowing hot air so it was cooler to wait outside in the light breeze in the heat of summer. Unfortunately, the wipers needed to be replaced and I chose to purchase them elsewhere. Upon my return a half-hour later, there was another wait time before the re-inspection. From start to finish it was an 1.5 hours including a short trip to the parts store for the wipers. In the future, Ill go to the regular station a few miles away.

Great drive through oil service, very friendly and covid-19 cautious

Very bad customer service, called in ahead to ask for the price of a state inspection I arrived a few minutes after only to be told their inspector only works 8-11am, they could have told me that over the phone. I returned the next day only to be told their inspector wasnt in by a lady who was nothing but rude. I dont know about the quality of their services but I would not take my car there just because of their lack of amiable employees.

Needed state inspection plus emissions test since car is registered in Houston but I was currently in SA who doesnt do emissions test so drove to Austin to get it done. Went to 5 different places each one had wait time of 2 plus hrs! Finally found this place went in and they were able to get to it right away. Even got my oil changed! Total time was about 35 minutes! Great service, thank you!

I’ve gotten my oil changed here for a couple of years now and these guys do not disappoint. I had a small issue with my coolant flange and they were more than able to help me out, even though they don’t normally work on stuff like that here. Simply amazing.

Very rude and unprofessional. They act more like thugs smokeing cigarettes in my new car. The moment I pulled my car in they gave me dirty look and wont speak a word to me. I dont even know if they are putting in the correct oil since they havent even spoke a word to me! I feel very nervous haveing my car worked on here. Something needs to be done about employee attitudes here. Not returning here for my next oil change.

Love these guys. Had to get my vehicle inspected, and they did it quickly and professionally. This was the second inspection Ive gotten here, and the first experience was equally good.

Everyone was very friendly and helpful while I got my state inspection today, especially when dealing with my old car. Didnt cost much, replaced my wipers after notifying I wouldnt pass inspection after, and politely handled everything. There were a bunch of white flakes on my dash and seat - probably from my old inspection sticker flaking off - which I vacuumed myself after I noticed. Other than that, one of the only places in that area it seems that offer inspections after 4pm on a Saturday! :^DGuy I worked with was either named Jose or Roy (sorry man, going through a lot of places today!) he was awesome.

I came here for a state inspection and had a fantastic experience. The service was prompt even on a busy afternoon, and the owner, Jose, is incredibly friendly. I will definitely come back again.

I have got 5 or so oil changes here. They are always very fast, courteous, and generally have space available where they can get you in a bay immediately or in a few minutes. Would recommend.

This place has great service and great prices. Earnest always seems to make me laugh. I moved away from the area however I drive about 30min out of the way to only go there for service.

Let me start by saying I do the majority of my own mechanic work. Ive been coming here for a few years because the staff was reasonable, listened to me as an authority on my own vehicle, and were willing to work with me on pricing/labor costs. Thats all gone now, the new staffl (some new female) are not. They run up the Bill and force you you to pay. Bad service, will never be back.

I would give it a zero if I could. After the horrible experience I had today I would never go back! It’s a block away from where we live and that’s the only reason we occasionally take our cars there, until today.I went to get the oil change of one of my cars and I always get full synthetic oil. Since I don’t use this car and I’m selling it, I told the guy (3 times) that this time I was gonna get regular oil and not the synthetic one. Why 3 times? Because he was talking and talking and I wanted to make sure he really get it. My 3rd reminder was when he pulled out the sticker of my last oil change.Not only he did he went ahead with the synthetic oil and wanted to charge me for it but also was so rude and pretended he never heard me mention anything about getting regular oil!!! Three times!! He didn’t get to hear it at least once?I’m keeping your car and call the police, he said. I told him I was calling it and another member of the staff walked in and this guy gave him his version of what was going on, and of course lying to him as well.WORST STAFF EVER!!! So rude and dishonest I couldn’t believe what was going on.WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO GO HERE.

Regretful... Called first and asked for price and availability of service on a Toyota Prius. Only vehicle at the bay; took them almost an hour (crew didnt know how to reset the oil change warning). Then was charged a higher price than originally quoted because Toyota does not recommend using products other than synthetic or mix.... This would have been fine except I was not informed of the higher cost until I was asked to pay at the cashier. An well informed customer would have gladly pay a surcharge for a better product... Manager lacked customer service traits... Unfortunate. I would have loved to go back in the future. Good LUCK!

Zero stars... they cross threaded the oil plug, my vehicle didnt leak before i took it to this sh!t place. I suggest take your car/truck elsewhere.

Stopped by to get an inspection completed and their machine was broken. Pulled to one side to Find another place but was told to leave the premises immediately because ‘cars were using the mat corner of the parking lot’. There were no cars. Not cool.

Very Friendly Folks, not Mr. Speedy, but I think its cause they are thorough with their job. They dont push other products or services on you and they leave you with a smile and a hand shake. I read another review mentioning no AC, they do now have a rather intimate waiting room with AC. Great Job, well done Jay. First time there, but Ill be back. If you have an IPhone or IPAD, you can show them your insurance info that way without bringing in a piece of paper for your inspection.

Horrible experience at this place. Staff including management have no courtesy or customer service skills nor friendly. Waited over on 1 and half for vehicle inspection. As I waited in waiting room customers were being told their vehicles had failed inspection. Long story short apparently during the time I was there all vehicles ahead of me failed. My vehicle failed due to dark tint. It is a manufacturer super light tint. Do not recommed this place.

Dont make the mistake of answering yes when the tech asks do you just want the regular oil?. You will be charged over $40 when the large sign outside says $26.

Made me wait 45 minutes to tell me that they didnt have the tool to take off my oil filter and the guys were extremely rude I do not recommend this place to anyone

I came in on a Sunday for a inspection but decided to get my oil changed as well. The staff was friendly and hard at work trying to get the customers in and out quickly, considering how busy they were i didnt have to wait very long and i left pleased with their service.

The acording to himself supervisor, was very impolite and not helpful at all. I was waiting were I was told to wait for more than 45 minutes and when I asked how longer more I had to wait he told me wait and you will find out when your turn arrives. ??? Very poor service, very rude supervisor.

Came in for a state inspection after going to three other places nearby with hours of wait time and there were about 3 cars in front of me. Entering and figuring out where to go was a little confusing as I am used to pulling through the bay and then exiting out the back. Here you go around the back and exit through the front. It took about an hour for the visit with about a 45 minute wait for other inspections and 10 minutes for the inspection. There is a waiting area inside but everyone was waiting outside not very sure why. The cost was $18 which I thought was pricey because in my last city I only paid $7 at a Jiffy Lube. The registration paperwork took about a day to get into the system. Overall they did the service just took a little while, so if you have patience and its close to you...then go for it!

This is the place where Ive been taking my car since I moved to the area. Theyve always been very quick and very nice. Today I was considering purchasing a new set of windshield wipers simply because I wanted something with RainX. I asked the technician if I needed them and he was honest about the current ones not having any holes or tears. I appreciated that very much because I am not in a position where I can spend money without it being a necessity. Its an older facility and the waiting room is small (which I know cannot be helped). They dont have all the extra features that you may find at a bigger place (like RainX treatment for the windshield), but they will continue to get my business as long as Im here.

I stop by to renew my state inspection, but they refuse to do so just because I didnt had my proof of insurance on a hard copy when Im showing the proof of my insurance on an e-mail from my IPhone. Isnt this ridiculous? I felt bathed in their incompetence as well as their ignorance. Though, I went to a Jiffy Lube, the one at riverside and they didnt had issue whatsoever in taking the info of my insurance from my phone.

Worst possible service. I will never, ever come here again. I came in to get an inspection sticker for my motorcycle. The guy helping me, Joan, didnt know anything about bikes, and only used scotch tape to secure the sticker. On my first ride, the sticker blows off. I come back with my receipt, with the barcode for the sticker still on it, and ask if I can get a replacement. The manager calls the owner, who sends us through countless hoops. He says that he wont help me unless I get a ticket for not having an inspection sticker. All in all, I was there for TWO HOURS and still no sticker, no help. We even called the DMV and they told Castrol to give me a new sticker.I hate them, I hate them, I hate them.

NEGATIVE STARS!! They put the wrong oil pan plug back in after changing oil. They put one in out of a dodge and when it wouldnt seal they just tightened it until it stopped leaking. This caused the oil pan to warp and stripped some threads out. Now I have to replace the whole oil pan.

This place was convenient for me and thats the only reason i came by but now i will drive the extra 20 min and 1 hour wait...
