I ask for acrylic nails with powder and gel. This attendant let me know he is going to give me something that will last longer. He begin to remove my old nails. Everywhere I go they normally soak my nails to remove the old ones but he did the opposite. As he proceed I said I need extension tips. He either didn’t understand what I said or he insist to do what he want. I decide to go along with the powder and gel without my extension tips. I didn’t want to cause a scene so I paid my fifty dollars and left. I didn’t like my nails. They were so short and I was not happy.
Very nice place, respectful staff, only went to get my dip nail taken off but would go back for the atmosphere.
Anna is the first person who has been able to do shellac manicure that actually stays on perfectly for more than three weeks. She does an amazing job and is always friendly and personable.I highly recommend!!!
I highly recommend this place, I went in pretty early & was helped right away. Ana was amazing & continually made sure I liked the shape & color of my nails. I will definitely be going back.
The team is so friendly, they do a gorgeous job, and their cleaning routine is stellar.
I came in with my 5 year old son, as I had nowhere else for him to go and they were very kind about offering him spots to sit next to me and getting him something to drink. Very accommodating. The gentleman that did my pedicure I believe was named David. I got the $50 pedicure and it was great. Then Steven/Stephen did my manicure. I showed him a picture and he gave me exactly what I wanted for $20 cheaper than the last place quoted me. Very happy about my experience and will be back!
I love Lena and she was recommended and that is why I went. I never ever write reviews. However a guy did my pedicure and he was so rude which was one thing. But the worst is my feet are bleeding. He literally shaved my heels until they were bleeding, sore and red. I was shocked. He said he was sorry. Then he messed up my toes. Worst pedicure ever! Unbelievable! I am now worried i will get an infection.
Great service! My favorite nail shop innAustin. Prices are great too.
Okay... I am just flat out insulted by this place. May 5, governor lifts salon closure. Cool... make 2 appointments online for May 8. One for me. One for my sister for mothers day. Recieve and email to confirm. May 7 receive 2nd string of emails and a text to confirm. Received a text on May 7 as well, also confirming the appointments.May 8 - get there at 10am for 10:15 appointment, I am told no appointments because they were only taking phone in appointments. Sooooooooo..... the 3 methods of confirmation were for funsies??? I asked when those appointments were made and they said yesterday. Meaning the appointments that called in actually called in 2 days AFTER I had confirmed appointments. They did not even bother to apologize. They were unwilling to move other people from their appointments even though I made mine first. They are not taking cards right now. Lets explore why. Cash. They can be paid immediately if the refuse cards. And the obvious bonus that it can be hidden from their taxes.Went to Lavish around the corner. Damn!!! Great service. Will never return. Very disappointed.
Second time and was very happy with the results. Omg I feel so relaxed and satisfied! The people are friendly. They took real good care of me here. And the customer service is #1! Thank you for caring about the air quality in your salon! I will certainly visit this place again.
A WARNING to all nail enthusiasts:Do not go elsewhere. If you live within an 8 mile radius of this place, do not waste your time with any other nail salon.Let’s start with the pricing. Personally, if I find a place that consistently and flawlessly delivers an excellent manicure and/or pedicure, the price doesn’t matter. I’m always willing to spend a few extra bucks for quality. Avenue Nails has the most affordable SNS service that I have encountered in all of my Austin neighborhoods. When I leave there, it almost feels like I’m getting away with something.Next, they have an online appointment scheduling feature, which is always a big plus for me. But even when I’ve wandered in there unannounced, with what looks like a full salon of customers, I’m always welcomed in and seated within 5 or so minutes. I don’t know how they make it work and look so effortless, but they do.Last, this is truly a warm and lovely group of people. The hellos and small talk (and sometimes deeper talk) feel genuine. And if you visit the salon more than once, the employees will surely remember you. It’s just about giving that extra step towards customer service.I’ve only been living on this side of Austin for about six months. I tried three other nail salons in the same area, but was intimately let down with all of them. If I had started here first, I would have never ventured anywhere else!Trust me, Avenue Nails all the way!
I saw some reviews on Avenue Nails & Spa and decided to check it out. The service was excellent.Good staff. Good music. They treated to me like their family.I’ll be back.
Excellent service. David was Fantastic, I will definitely go back!
This place is the best nail place in Austin!! Mimi does my nails every time I go and I have never been dissatisfied with them. Very clean place and excellent choice of colors
Amazing! The gentleman who took care of me did an amazing job!! I will be back!
Best place in town. The place is clean, staff is super friendly and they always have time to squeeze you in even if you forgot to make an appointment. The SNS nails have lasted me for more than a month. Also, I dream about their coffee.
My first visit was very nice and relaxing. They took the time to know what I wanted and their pedicure was quite enjoyable!I will not be returning after my most recent visit though. They acted like they didn’t have the time for my friend and I and left my friends feet soaking in tepid water while she waited for a nail tech for 20 minutes. The shop was not crowded and we were willing to wait as long as we needed. No hospitality this time around. They didn’t give me a chance to choose what pedicure I wanted, the woman just opted for the quickest one without verifying with me. She hurt my feet and it was not relaxing. I also got an SNS mani for some photos I am taking this weekend and it was the worst sns service I’ve ever bought. The nails are lopsided, misshaped, bubbly looking and uneven. You can see my nails on the sides because she didn’t cover them all the way and she did not take the time to shape or file well. My skin was left covered in sns mess too and it was all stuck under my nails. This is really disappointing as I wanted them to look nice for engagement photos! My nail tech also had her baby in the salon, which I didn’t mind, she was really cute, but she kept putting nail polishes in her mouth and ripping through drawers everywhere and even ripped open the liner to my foot bath. Did not seem like a safe or sanitary place for her or other customers. her mom kept getting up in the middle of my mani pedi to go chase her baby down and I think that contributed to her not really wanting to do my nails properly.I am sad to say I will not be returning due to the waste of time and money my last trip was. I am disappointed too as this salon is so close to where I live and I had high hopes for it.I wish I had taken my business elsewhere, especially for the occasion.
THE BEST! I went to Avenue today for probably my 10th time. I live downtown, so it is quite out of the way, but I am more than willing to make the drive for this salon!Every time Ive been I have had excellent service. I always get a shellac manicure and a pedicure (sometimes the Avenue pedicure, sometimes one of the longer, more elaborate ones). The set up of the salon is great - from the arrangement of the colors arrayed by color to the wine, waterfall, and fish tank - very relaxing!Today, Vickie did my nails (for the second time) and did an amazing job. Wonderful attention to detail, meticulously checking the shape of each nail and the evenness of the polish. The massage was wonderful and she is so sweet and kind!I have also had my nails done by Tia several times, she also does a wonderful job and is very careful, paying close attention and making sure each nail is perfect!Overall, wonderful salon - they do a good job waxing eyebrows, great massages, overall very reasonably priced, it is always easy for me to get an appointment, professional, clean, and courteous - I highly recommend it - ask for Vickie or Tia!
I love the staff here. Theyre so accommodating and do such great jobs. They make sure their staff only works on their areas of expertise, and make sure everyone leaves with great nails.
Very friendly staff. Always welcoming, accommodating and happy to see you. I appreciate the relaxing environment with the running water and no tv. They will do both fingers and toes at the same time whenever they can. Great nail spa.
I sat down right away and offered a beverage. They had a big variety of polishes and basic colors. They were super gentle on my nails. My mani polish is rarely chips. Ill be back again and again! Thanks ladies!
Beautiful, clean, spacious. No chemical smell or fumes like so many nail spas.Walked right in, no waiting. I have one split nail - Rose put acrylic on that, and did regular manicure on the rest. Beautiful. My new nail spa.
Love this place! So relaxing and spa-like! My nails lasted nearly one month for having to come back. Great job!
I just went and received a wonderful gel shellac manicure at Avenue Nails & Spa. Rose, who did the manicure, was very nice and did such a great job! The store itself was very clean and nicely decorated. I am so glad I found this place!
The atmosphere is wonderful. Its very chic. I wish I could say I loved this place. I only give it 3 stars due to the above mentioned things. However, the part I disliked is that I paid an exorbitant amount of money for a shellac manicure and pedicure. Within TWO days of getting this, my nails started to PEEL. I am very disappointed since I paid $80 for all of their services.
Loved the service, I got a regular mani/pedi, and they were very good. They accommodated 5 of us very well and efficiently. Will definitely come back here when were in town!
I am in this area a LOT. Two of the male owners are so unprofessional. They are always outside screaming into their phones, not respecting or aware of their surroundings and the customers who patron the area. Please build an office and stop being rude
Avenue Nails & Spa is a relaxing retreat on 2222 (just north of 360, but sort of hidden behind greenery) where you can get a variety of spa type services.Ive been several times and have had both the mani and pedi and really enjoyed each one.The employees are friendly and efficient and I highly recommend their services. I especially love the zen like decor and the complimentary beverages, including wine!Look for it near the Chase Bank on 2222.
My grandmas took me to Avenue Nail & Spa for a manicure and pedicure. The shop was beautiful. There was a nice lady that gave me a pretty design on my nails!
I went there for a gel manicure and they recommended SNS which I had never had before. the owner said its better than gel and feels like your natural nail. I asked if they were going to thin my natural nails and they assured me they would not. no sooner had the started than they pull out the electric buffer as they call it. I asked what she was doing she said only buffing the cuticles. needless to say my natural nails are very thin line they would be if I had done acrylics. this SNS crap also feels and wears line acrylics. Im not happy. 2 weeks later my nails have cracked and chipped. Im not hard on my nails normally gel lasts at least 2 weeks. I wont be back after this!
I went here to get SNS and it was easily the worst manicure I have ever received. So messy and looked like a child had done my nails. I complained and they said they would not give me my money back. Horrible experience.
Friendly staff and efficient.
I recently had the highest level pedicure and a full-body massage treatment at Avenue Nails and it was divine. I have had pedicures in Austin before, but this was far and away the best one.
Very nice folks and they did a good job on my mani pedi
Loved going to Tia, nice facilities. Too bad Tia left. Fortunately I found Tia and Laila at PJ nails off of Bee Caves!
I have been going to Avenue nails exclusively for the last two years. Always had a signature mani pedi with regular nail polish for pedi and usually gel for mani. Last time I had a nail service was about 4 months ago. I have not had my nails done since because about a week after my right thumb became quite sensitive. I waited for it to calm down but then my nail became dis colored. Im concerned but not quite sure what it is or what to do. Two weeks ago I ended in urgent care where I was told I had a very bad nail infection. Four holes were drilled into my nail to relieve the pressure. Tomorrow I see a surgeon to see if my nail has to be removed:(If I had my nails done at multiple locations I would not be posting this.I would post photos but does not seem I can
Loved the OPI color wall and the chic atmosphere!
Great experience
We waited about half an hour for our turn but it was worth it😘
