I’ve been going to EAAC for about 6 months and absolutely love it! I did CrossFit for a few years but wanted a change of pace. EAAC offers some CrossFit-adjacent classes called Ascend which are awesome but I’ve also loved the Boxing and Physique classes. All of the coaches are so wonderful, enthusiastic and encouraging. So happy to have found such a cool gym! Also, this is definitely one of the best priced gyms in Austin considering the level of coaching, quality of equipment and size of gym. Highly recommend.

This hits all of the main points that I NEED in a gym:- Great friendly people with a family/friend vibe- Clean and up-to-date gym & equipment- Coaches truly care about your form & will correct you if they see you doing anything wrong. They modify any movement/workout if needed.- They have an upstairs hangout area (allows you to bring stuff to work on before/after if needed)- The membership costs are super reasonable, PLUS you have 2 buddy passes a month to bring friends/family that are interested- They use a heart rate monitor to track your health throughout the workout which can be tracked through their mobile app (pretty cool)Ive been searching for quite some time to find another gym home and after a couple workouts I signed up. Couldnt be happier with my decision. See you at the club!

I have been a member of quite a few gyms and share that East Austin Athletic Club is one of the best gyms Ive been to for so many reasons! You are immediately welcomed in by one of the coaches and those coaches never forget your name. They want to make you feel welcomed and belong, which is incredibly important when starting a new fitness journey. This welcoming environment creates a close knit community of people who feel like family. Not only are the people great, the workouts are amazing and push you. You are challenged to push yourself every single day building a better you! I HIGHLY recommend joining or at least checking it out!

I never thought I would join a gym and then a friend took me as her plus one to East Austin Athletic Club. I was extremely shy since I had never lifted weights. All the trainers welcomed me! They took their time in helping me with my form and motivate me to get better and better each workout. I love that they offer a variety of different classes from strength training to boxing and yoga! Another thing I love about this gym is the community. All the members are extremely nice and friendly! If youre looking for a gym, Id definitely recommend checking them out!

Joined back in March because I wanted a gym that was more personal than the other big box gyms, and with more focus on strength than I was getting at orange theory. The coaches and owners at the club are great, and they make sure to give you tips on how to do things correctly to not be injured, but also help push you harder than you might if on your own. It’s a welcoming environment for a variety of levels and they have quarterly events to get to know other members. They also have a surprisingly large amount of equipment and lots of great variety in the classes they offer, and are constantly making improvements and updates! Definitely recommend.

Great club. I’ve been attending for a year now. The coaches are great and make everyone feel welcome. It’s a mix of all types of people so you don’t feel like you need to look like Thor in order to work out there. Love partner Wednesday workouts, and the cool events they host.

I have been coming to EAAC since Feb...Never have I ever in my life been this consistent when it comes to working out and physical activity. This gym is more than a gym. It’s a family it’s a community. The classes are approachable and no matter your athletic level or lack thereof- you will find an encouraging judgement free zone. My first trial week I was intimidated and nervous but was quickly greeted by other members who were welcoming and it felt like home. The trainers are some of the best I have ever come across...Priscilla (Coach P) is a killer instructor who will push you in the best way- her HIIT class has helped with my endurance and cardio game. Coach T. Will always make you laugh through the pain, and Coach Wladi will make you realize how much you can truly (safely) lift and humbly correct your form. If you are looking for a place that will get you fit, and a community who knows how to have fun-I highly encourage you to try this place out today. If you do not decide to join- NO ONE will be haunting you.

So proud and lucky to be a member of EAAC! I was a ClassPass person for a few years and while I tried a variety of workouts, I wasnt finding the community or motivation I craved. I was hooked after my first class at East Austin Athletic Club-- I hadnt done much weight training in the past so a lot of the moves were new to me, but I never felt judged for my endless questions or lower weights. Everyone is so encouraging, no matter your fitness level. To my surprise, I quickly became a 6:30AM workout person attending 5-6 classes per week. The coaching is incredibly helpful and personal, and even through group classes, I feel confident in my fitness growth through the intentional class organization each month. Ive found a fitness routine that works for me (so much stronger now!) and Ive found an amazing and loving community that makes waking up before 6AM a no brainer.

I was looking for a gym on the east side that was close by and offered more weightlifting and barbell work. EAAC has been awesome with teaching proper technique and has made working hard in the gym a lot of fun! After participating in collegiate sports and other gyms since college I am always looking for something challenging. EAAC offered the challenge I was looking for and the trainers are super helpful when I’m more hesitant with learning complicated barbell work. This place is great and I would recommend for a beginner or a workout junkie...they accommodate all levels very well!

This is a great gym. The space is huge, airy, clean, and has every piece of equipment youd need. Ive only done individual sessions with Wladi because he was helping me rehab from a few major injuries.I cant recommend Wladi enough; hes super intuitive in his programming and coaching, and also highly adaptive to an individuals needs. This guy knows what hes doing, and I imagine the other coaches are just as excellent. When I move back to Austin this spring, Im excited to come back and take classes with other members and train in a group setting. Cant wait to be a part of this awesome, growing fitness community!

I personally need a class setting in order to keep me motivated to work out. In the last 10 years I have been a member of 5 Crossfit style gyms, but I have only been able to call two of them home. Yeah, their programming is thought out, and I still have growing pains from getting stronger after 10 years, but you can find that anywhere. I enjoy the comradery of pushing through a workout trying to beat the guy that beat me twice already this week then going to get a beer after. The owners do a great job creating a community of inclusion with happy hours, holiday parties, and hangouts. I am happy to call EAAC my gym home in Austin.

The coaches are not only very motivational and friendly but also highly qualified in the kinesiology science behind the programming we do. Being a graduate student in the health professions, this is huge for me because I know I can trust them to guide me when I have an injury or need to tailor my workout. Plus the coaches practice what they preach— they are all super athletic and exhibit incredibly strong work ethics in their own fitness, which has been inspiring to me as a “student”. I don’t personally have a sporty background or experience doing CrossFit in the past—I was a dancer for many years so I was definitely not the stereotype for what I thought this gym would be. But I was presently surprised to find that the coaches met me on my own level without judgement and have always been dedicated to helping me obtain my own goals. They also started from the basics so that I learned the proper weightlifting form without feeling like I stuck out as a beginner. But what really sets this gym apart from all the other gyms I’ve tried in town is the welcoming and fun sense of community. Both the coaches and the members share close friendships and there is always a fun social event around the corner. This makes workouts fun and helps with accountability and also has been a great way to expand my social network (since let’s face it, making new friends as an adult can be hard.)Another unique aspect of this gym is that is is super inclusive of Spanish speaking individuals, which is surprisingly rare in town despite Austin’s large Spanish speaking population. In summary, this is a great gym to make meaningful progress in your fitness goals, learn to enjoy exercise, and make great friends in an inclusive and welcoming environment! Give it a try, you won’t be sorry!
