Walked in and had the best experience! I was immediately greeted from two staff members. Vanessa took time to answer all of my questions and even helped me troubleshoot any issues I was having with the app. I didn’t expect to have such a fun, warm and efficient experience today! I would recommend this location and the staff provided some of the best customer experience I’ve received in Austin! 10 out of 10 - would recommend!

My agent, Danielle, was very helpful, knowledgeable, and attentive. She answered all my questions, provided me a quick tutorial and noted EVERY blemish on my rental. While waiting for the service the facility was very clean and well maintained to provide a waiting area for drivers and customers alike. DO NOT RENT WITH LYFT, or this branch!!!! There will be unknown charges that even the branch manager has never seen or know of its origin. Also, this is really a BBB problem in which Im filing a complaint. To start, LYFT insurance DOES NOT cover windshields. At the point I returned my rental that was costing me $400 per week to maintain, I asked the cost of the windshield and the associate told me $300. I found out weeks later when my deposit had finally been applied to my unpaid balance, that the windshield actually costs $450!!!!!!!!!! So, I had a $100 charge plus a $150 more in windshield costs I was unaware of show up out of no where. Suspiciously this equals my $250 deposit. So, the branch manager removed the unidentified charge of $100. But thats about the extra $150 for the windshield? It seems the associate had conveniently slipped me the signature pad for the windshield as she was telling me $300, taking her word for it; yet apparently signing off on a $450 windshield at the same time.DO NOT RENT WITH THIS COMPANY. YOULL BE A SLAVE TO THEIR BAD BUSINESS PRACTICES AND RENTAL COSTS/FEES! Unless you have money to waste!

Unable to inquire about or locate this place; I would like to speak with a human-but thos place seems to be more of the self-help paced. Not good for the disabled or mentally impaired. As pre-answered questions are irrelevant to my needs. Who is the responsile party here? As hours of sifting through the pre-answered questions I realised I wasted my time; and no one was able to help via email either.

The employees here are nice and they have good customer service. Some of the Lyft policies on the other hand with regards to damages to their vehicles are unreasonable. I would suggest Lyft invest some quality time with older expereinced rental car companies and compare/contrast their common business practices. I have never been scrutinized over a scuff/minor scratch on the hood of a car in the way I was at Lyft and I have rented cars from other companies (i.e. Enterprise, Hertz, Budget, etc.).

As a Lyft driver, this is my best option for car service and maintenance. Offers a discount to all Lyft drivers. Ive been here several times. The facility is very clean, very spacious and organized, and the employees are top-notch. from the moment I walk in till the moment I drive home, it is a very easy process. Just walk in, confirm your appointment, and have a seat. Its a very relaxing atmosphere. Because of how relaxing it is, I usually bring a book to read or things to work on while I wait for my car. Today they changed my oil, rotated my tires, and gave my car a covid-19 cleaning. It took less than an hour. Highly recommended if you are a Lyft driver!

Not a good facility for those who do other work to get service. No WiFi and they removed tables and chairs to work. If you have nothing better to do, they are great but for students or people using Lyft on the side, you can’t use the service time productively. This is a recent development - Not COVID related.

Do not go here with your personal vehicle if you need more than basic work done.2 days and $800 later, I still have an undrivable vehicle, and to make matters worse, additional problems popped up that warrant issues when I brought my car in.I genuinely do not think that they know what theyre doing to the level that they should know what theyre doing as a professional repair service center for rideshare drivers. And you will get nickel and dimed for everything.If you need an oil change, cool. Need new tires? Theyll do four for you at a reasonable price. Battery change? Theyll overcharge you, but theyll get it done without a problem. But if you have actual work that needs to be done, youre better off going somewhere else. I gave them two days to diagnose and fix a rather basic issue, and they fixed everything but the actual issue.

My car was acting funny. I use it for Lyft. I had no clue what was wrong with it. Did some YouTubing. Called an auto shop. It was gonna coat some money. I happened to get an email about this service from Lyft. LIFE SAVER or should I save MONEY SAVER. It was so cool. The Mgr called to confirm my appointment and get details which was so cool. When I got there the staff was so nice and informative. The atmosphere was not alpha male at all. The prices were amazing. The mechanic came out to talk to me about what is going on. He even took me back to the shoppe to show me inside my engine with a scope. I have never had such great service before. He told me how to handle the issue and it has completely resolved. I got my oil changed and a complete diagnostic for $100! That would have been some serious money someone where else. And god only knows how much else the would have charged for doing something I didn’t need done. This was amazing.

One star for One-AND-Done! Lyft service center is neither cheaper, faster, or better than any other reputable service center. DO NOT GO HERE FOR CAR SERVICE!! Even if you use a rental. Go to any other service center that is approved to work on Lyft cars. Worse part, other than the long wait. You cant call when something goes wrong afterwards, no phone number, nothing. What shop does this? NONE thats who. So if something goes wrong, (again, which it did) you have to use the app, make an appointment and start over. There is no explicit warranty on tires etc. At least none was given to me. I thought a warranty would be on the service order, nope, nothing. What was there? An arbitration agreement which I unknowingly signed. I always opt out of arbitration agreements. So if I had a dispute about the work, into arbitration I go. What would be the service writer in other shops the one I had didnt seem to be knowledgeable at all. It seemed more as if the Lyft Rep was just trying to sound knowledgably and was trying way too hard.What would have taken an hour at my normal shop took a total of five hours at Lyft and since it did take so long I had the opportunity to observe the staff which seemed to be buried into their phones so much so when Drivers walked in it was common for them to look at me and inquire if I was either waiting or how does this work? because it is quite confusing upon entry. There is no central check in. Ive gone to the St. Elmo, E. 7th st locations, and the one here on 290 and the staff have all been indifferent with the Im not going to do any more than I have to attitude its really unfortunate. But its not going to change, simply because they dont have to as they most often deal with drivers and not the general public which of course wouldnt return either. Why? Because No Freakin Phone Number, thats why!!!

I have a mixed review on this place. So when it comes to their auto service, its great. They have good prices for the oil change and can check your car for free. But when it comes to the actual building, it looks really nice and all but I usually feel like unwelcome or lost. Theres no direction. I see people hanging out there but Im never sure if its the staff from the Driving center or just drivers hanging out. Can drivers just go and hangout? Theres not enough instructions or communication to let the drivers know what this driving center is even there for. Also, I hate that theres no number to call. If you need something, you have to go there. I have a full time job during the day so I cant just go there and ask questions since its close by the time I get out of work. I have to use my lunch time to go visit them when it would of just taken a min on the phone.

My lyft rental car shakes when it goes about 30 miles. I researched it and it may be tire imbalance or a worn tire. if I get that fixed at an improved auto repair shop(not during the normal maintenance check), would I get charge for that? thank you.

They try to keep your deposit forever like 14 bus days, try to deduct ridiculous fees from it like cleaning fees $50, no matter how perfect it is and dings that were already there. Watch yourself! I went out and bought a $12000 vehicle. The year is 2010 which was the requirement to drive-in Austin. I moved 400 miles away from my home town just to find out that they changed the year to 2011 without any kind of warning or notice or anything. Even the people at the Lyft hub said they never got a notice that the year had changed. Now theyre saying if I want to drive for Lyft I have to drive 100 miles away from my home just to drive for Lyft. What can legally be done about this?By the way, Ive been driving for Lyft for about a year, and I am a 5 star driver.

I tried everything to contact Lyft via phone -impossible - My Phone is my lifeline I use it to do biz and personal reasons. I had a lot of important info. In it and it was very important that I get it back. Lyft has such excellent drivers that he comeback to the hotel right away once he found it in the back seat. I was so grateful and 😃 ! Ive done about 300 rides in a month and half or so.Some of the negative feedback in here is a bit rediculous. So far so good for me. I took a short Lyft ride last week to get my groceries from Walmart to my apt. The ride cost $6.40. I tipped $3, because I was feeling generous. $9.40. Fine. A cab ride would have been at least that much.So now #Lyft has charged an additional $3.00 to my account, bringing that total up to $12.40. When I complained, I was told that was the tip. So, Im paying the same for the (mandatory) tip that I paid for the ride.Guess who wont ever be sitting in a Lyft car EVER again?

Couldnt be happier. I lost my phone in one of my lyft rides after work and immediately went to their headquarters here in Austin. They notified the driver, let me know via email what is currently happening, and had my phone to me in 1 day. They had a great response time and friendly staff to assure me that they were going to exhaust their resources to try and get my phone back to me.

Been a driver since 2017; been here a few times but now just dont even get why this is even here. Looks like its just completely new people working here and the shaggy looking dude that used to run the place apparently left the company (cant confirm; was told by another driver, but says a lot if Lyft cant even keep good employees around). Used to be get straight information from him and another guy I havent seen lately, now its just talking in circles.Cant get straight answers anymore; exact same answers you get online so again whats the point? Ill continue to drive for now, but this place is a waste of time; just do online support.

Theyre pretty useless here. went their to see what could be done about getting the driver pay rate reduction reversed, i even proposed a great middle ground that would be beneficial to both drivers and Lyft, but they wouldnt hear me out. they didnt even seem to care at all they any like theyre there to support drivers, but really theyre there to protect Lyft corporate my having a really expensive fancy office, basically flaunting their also l abuse of their drivers, so that they can avoid having to answer for their continued march to bankruptcy, following in the same mistaken footsteps of Uber when they went public. hand in hand with the party fixing schemes of Uber and Postmates, cutting pay by 30-35% while keeping prices the same, and creative accounting combined with pseudo transparency, has lead to them being able to take over 35- 40% of the price of the fare charged to the rider. This whole legal battle to keep drivers classified as independent contractors were refusing to pay them what any other independent contractor makes on average (2-3x more than equivalent hourly position) even though just like other ICs drivers are doing a professional specific service, infrequently, without the guarantee of demand in the future. A future they claim to need to reduce pay to be able to afford, to keep drivers busy with rides for less, while turning around and investing heavily in driverless cars so that one day they can cut out all of the people who worked hard to make Lyft what it was before the corruption of an IPO happened. at which point i would expect them to raise rates an to the level of taxis, once all the committee l competition has been destroyed. Interesting how illegall monopolies are, yet once shareholders come into the picture at any company, they suddenly are all about cornering the market, and exploiting their employees. If the people at this location want to have a job with al Lyft in the near future still, they should figure out how to fight for for the respect of drivers from Lyft corporate, otherwise, who are they done l gonna be supposedly supporting? Driverless cars who have gotten puked in? lol Look down the road and not at the 2 inches in front of you.

I HAD been a frequent lyft user; until they decided their profits were worth more than providing communities with welcoming, affordable ride[s] (part of their mission statement, I might add). Their public service (also part of their mission statement) has turned out to be nothing more than a lack of respective for their (now) previous employees and customers. I strongly believe that IF a corporate company -- as developed as Lyft -- has consideration for their actual PAYING clientele, who routinely rely on their service (and whom their mission statement is based upon) as they originally provided it to the community, then, they would not up and leave to satisfy their own monetary needs to increase their own profits. You should not have left Austin, this alone tells us what your true mission is --profit--...

I have driven nearly 350 riders with Lyft in Austin and have a 4.99 rating and I simply cannot recommend this company. A recent incident has shown me that they, at the least, don’t value customer service and, at the most, actively promote a culture of lying.My issue began ten days ago when I accepted a rider on a busy road who happened to be in the opposite direction of where I was driving. Since a u-turn was not an option, I followed Lyft’s GPS up the road and off to the right. At this point, Lyft (not the customer) canceled the ride and left me in an industrial area I would normally avoid. I contacted Lyft and asked, for the first time, for the standard $5 cancelation fee and was told via text this wasn’t possible since the cancelation occurred within two minutes of me accepting the ride. Never mind the potential business it cost both myself and Lyft by leaving me in warehouse-ville.I asked to speak with management and this is where the story takes a confusing and sad turn. Because for the last ten days now—every single day—I’ve spoken with various customer service reps who have promised to connect me to management and still no one has contacted me. This issue has moved well past the $5 for me. I now genuinely want to know what’s going on inside Lyft. Is management too busy to contact me or do they simply not care?Worse yet, some agents, when reviewing my issue, have told me that they see that only one or two agents have escalated me to management, when in fact five or six had told me they had. That leads me to wonder why multiple employees would lie to me. Is it because they fear retaliation from their supervisors for forwarding a case? Or is it because Lyft has created a culture that encourages dishonesty? Either way, it paints a picture of a miserable place to do business. The rep I spoke with today actually told me that he has no idea how to forward my case to management. I actually found this honesty to be refreshing.I enjoyed my time with Lyft. It was a fun way to make money in between jobs and to meet interesting people. I even wrote a series of posts on social media (free promotion!) about my memorable rides and people seemed to enjoy reading them. But this $5 issue has proved to be a dealbreaker for me. I chose Lyft because the headlines about Uber’s toxic workplace drove me away. Now, it appears Lyft’s culture is completely broken but in a different way. They don’t care and so I can only recommend you stay away.
