Called in to rent a car for one day and they wanted to charge me 115 dollars a day this is robbery. These people shouldn’t even be in business I rented a car from enterprise for 7 days for 200 dollars. Unlimited miles and all the great service thank god their is honest people in this world.
Very Rude manager, didn’t wanted to solve my issue or come out with a better solution to the problem. It was the nightshift manager i know it was late but there was no need to be that rude. I would recommend you to rent somewhere else. They might have the lowest rates at the moment but its not worth the headaches. NEVER AGAIN!!
If I could I would not give them any stars to be honest because they do not deserve any stars at all. I wouldnt rent from them. The car was disgusting on the inside had stains all over the seats and the top of the car interior had a dark brown stain splattered all over, it looked like chocolate smeared everywhere. The car also had a strong urine smell to it. When comments were made about both stains and smell, i was ignored. Upon checking out the employee walked away from me while i made a comment about the stains and smell. Upon checking out the employee stayed silent when asked about the smell. She only said the car came from Houston and its been cleaned, however you can tell the by the interior of the car it has not been cleaned. When I asked about the urine smell she stayed silent. The employees were not concerned at all, like theyre trained to give out dirty cars and ignore customer comments. No apologies were made either. Im beyond frustrated with how theyre okay giving rental cars in horrid shape. My friend who came along in the car felt sick because of the urine smell. I had to drive the car with the windows rolled down and the ac blasting because it was hot but the smell when the windows were rolled up made my friend sick. The stains on the seats, made us not want any part of our body touching the interior of the car. I felt uncomfortable driving the car in general because of how gross it was inside. For a dirty car that had a strong smell of urine is not worth 89 dollars for 24 hours. There fees they post online is different when coming into the location to actually get the car. I was originally suppose to pay 30 dollars for the 24 hours Ive had the car but it came to 89 dollars. I would have gladly paid for uber for there and back paying double the price if I knew what kind of car theyre letting people rent. I wouldnt recommended the company to anyone and I will continue to tell everyone about my experience with them. NEVER AGAIN. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
I rented a car from Austin airport on Sunday night 12/1/2019 at 6:30 pm and returned at 6:30 pm next day. When i dropped my car the lady who checked me in told me she will send me the recipe via email. which i did not received until Pacific time at 9:38 pm. They charge me for 2 days rental and 2 days tool fee instead of a day rental. They are fraud. When i call customer service, they ask me to send an email and all relevant doc.Now i have to spend my time formatting email and scanning all the docs. This is ridiculous. I usually rent my car from enterprise, and never had any issue.The total cost of a day rental they charge me is $134. When i asked customer service to give me agent name who checked me in and direct number of the office, she refuse to do so.I will never rent a car from them.
Great and fast service at the Austin airport facility. The car was clean and the staff there were very friendly and helpful. I will definitely rent with them again in the future.
Caution: we were charged $60.94 two months after renting a car. This fee appeared on our credit card bill with no explanation two months after our trip (and right before Christmas). I called the company and discovered that we had a $6.56 toll fee during our trip. The additional $54.38 was added as a fee by Advantage/E-Z Rent-A-Car. Im not sure why we were charged $60.94, as the bill clearly states $51.56. They probably charged a fee for the fee.Note that the total we were charged by this company ($60.94) is an 829% markup of the original toll fee we incurred ($6.56). We were never given the opportunity to pay the toll directly, since tolls are collected electronically. Thanks!
Terrible service and confusing. First off, the confirmation email stated it was located on the third floor of the rental car facility. Absolutely no signage once you get there aside from one sign inside the elevator which has them on level 2. You actually have to check in on level 1, which means hauling your luggage and kids all over a parking deck. Then, when we got to the rental counter, there was a sign saying the counter attendant had stepped away and would be back “shortly”. Flash forward thirty minutes after my reservation time and we still did not have a vehicle. Then, once we get the vehicle, it is absolutely filthy. It takes a lot to gross me out vehicle wise but it was obviously it had it not been cleaned. Sticky remnants and marks all over the dash and interior. I asked the attendant if it had been cleaned and she stated yes, to my disbelief. Terrible experience and will never rent from here or Advantage again
Worst rental car company ever. They have only one agent at the counter and she spends 20 minutes with each customer trying to sell collision damage waiver, toll pass and other optional products. They literally will not let you take the car until youve listened to their 20 minute sales talk. Its like attending a timeshare presentation.So for each customer in line ahead of you, expect to wait 20 minutes. In my case, there were four customers ahead of me, so it took nearly 90 minutes before I was served.They are under investigation by the Texas Attorney General for deceptive trade practices and the AG is seeking more complaints. The complaints can easily be submitted on the Texas AG web site.
NOT E-Z!!!!!The Lady behind the counter was super slow and her customer service skills? out the window......sending people away to the competition because they were upset that she took too long. Not only did they go to another rental company but they got their vehicle super quick. She asks for my name, but was unable to locate it in her system. I tried to make it easy for her so I tried to show her the confirmation number. She refused to look up at the number and insisted to find it her way. Anyway, if You have time to waste, this rental company is for you!
Poor customer service!!!!My mother & I flew into Austin airport on 7/16/18 to pick up the rental at about 9am! The gentleman that was also working for Advantage rental! He was very rude & acted as if tho he couldn’t answer any of our questions! Plus he kept pointing at the sign that was on his desk & told us to read it like we we’re slow! Even though we didn’t have a credit card I had to catch a cab to transfer my funds on my debit card we both decided to go with hertz! I really feel like you all should get some employees that are customer friendly! Will not be back!
The location is hard to find. If u miss it (at the top of the spiral ramp), need to circle the entire airport. The signage says Advantage and unless u know that, you will be circling again. Ive rented 3 cars. First time great service. Young man was being trained by a knowledgable young AA woman. Both a pleasure to work with! 2nd rental, counter man said he was about to go to lunch and then rushed me thru the contract. My car smelled like smoke. It was so strong, it made nauseous. I LM for local manager to discuss it, no call. I called corporate, got staff in South America without solutions, just repeating policy. I have yet to be contacted re: my issues. One wonderful experience I did have: my cell was dying and a staff member allowed me to use hers. I was hysterical and anxious. She was patient and kind.
Charges for being under the age of 25 were not explained at the time of the reservation. $25 per day. Besides that the agent at the counter was very helpful.
I had a really terrible experience with this EZ branch of Austin. After I checked in at the counter to pick up my contract I headed upstairs to the garage to pick up the keys. There was no one at the booth to pick up the keys. After waiting 20 minutes to pick up the keys I was late for a business meeting. I had some complications returning the car so I filed an incident report and the employee said I would be receiving a call back from their office. After a couple weeks there were no calls so I decided to call their corporate office and put in a note to ask them to call back. Surely they assured me that the manager of the Austin branch would reach out to me. I waited another week and still no call. I decided to post a complaint on their website and received an email response stating where I could reach them. I called and was placed on an automated machine. My efforts to contact EZ corporate and their Austin branch left me full of disappointment. I will definitely not be renting from them again and would rather spend a few extra bucks knowing I could receive better customer treatment from another car rental agency.
They rob you on toll road charges. Austin Tx doesnt give you an option to pay tolls at the booth, they are all sent through the mail. EZ rental car company imposes a very steep penalty if you incur a toll charge. They do this to pressure you into a pre payment option of like 25$ a day which is ridiculous to cover 2$ in tolls. My other complaint was the guy at the counter asked me which vehicle I would like out of a list of options he named off. I had already paid via priceline and picked out an economy car. I chose one from the list he gave me and then when I was signing the final paperwork I noticed a 75$ charge for a vehicle upgrade. He didnt ask if I wanted to upgrade, he just asked what car I wanted. I caught it and made him change it but no doubt he does this practice all the time trying to trick people into paying for an upgrade.
This location is great, they actually helped me fix a problem that their corporate office created...Working with the company at Austin Bergstrom Airport is fine, I would not recommend EZ to anyone due to their corporate policies however.
I rented a vehicle for a few days & was not aware that I would be charged a bill later for tolls. Apparently, there is a device they can give you for $10 a day to ride through unlimited tolls. I was not offered that service. The person I spoke with at the branch over the phone was very rude about the miscommunication and I will be calling corporate. I would not rent from them, as it is very wise to inform your customers of such a fee.
I love to rent a car with E-Z.. It was amazing service.... personal are so friendly they help you a lot. I will definitely rent again with E-Z.. Thanks it was a new adventure....
AVOID.! They have tons of rules which you will realize only when you go to pick up the car.! They didnt even credit the money back to my account for a trip that I didnt take .

If your in austin texas just get the Toll pass for $29.99 because they will mislead you. They are unmaned tolls you can not pay it will just take picture and bill ez-rental and they will in turn charge you how many times you cross the tolls. I was told i could pay at the toll which is untrue. Austin charges alot because i was told they pay maybe a dollar or two when they cross tolls. So don’t forget to agree with ez rental agreement you sign. Otherwise the car was dirty inside. I personally will never use them again.
The line to pick up the car took over 40 minutes ....moved so slow. The car rental agent told us we had to purchase the toll pass even though we wouldn’t be on any toll roads! The car we rented was a piece of junk! Not clean, missing hubcap, scratches and dents. The car handled terrible. Won’t rent from them again!

WARNING! AVOID! This company over charged me $1657.45 and Ive spent a month trying to get a refund. Now they wont answer my calls and Ive had to go through my bank to dispute the charges. Awful experience.
