I was highly impressed with the group of guys that work here after my first experience. They have a beautiful shop, that is very clean, professional and welcoming. Jared always greets you with a smile and kindness. He makes you feel welcome and ensures youre comfortable during your experience.I get my hair done by Dean and he does a fantastic job. His attention to detail is phenomenal and he really cares about styling your hair the way you want. Not only that, Dean is very outgoing and great to talk with.Theres never a dull moment when Im getting my hair done and look forward to my appointment every month.I highly recommend this shop. Truly a great group!

My first great haircut in Austin at Sorek with Dean. The shop has a great vibe and I just enjoy being there and chatting it up with the owners/staff. I opted for The Signature and feel it was a good value for the money. I wasnt rushed and Dean took time to understand my styling needs and make recommendations. He explained his techniques and products, but didnt push any of them on me. I look and feel great after my first, but not last, Sorek experience.

Sorek is the place to go if you need to get a fresh haircut. Jason killed it with the haircut and the fade was on point. I was WRONG. From the moment I walked into Sorek, I was greeted with smiles and the head barber even dapped me up. I sat down in a brand new barber chair and was given the best haircut Ive ever had in my life. Following the haircut, I received a Wake Up Call, which is a service offered that gives your face the same feeling your mouth gets when you use Listerine. I felt FRESH, and looked the best Ive ever looked. When I walked outside, I could have sworn the sun was shining. Unfortunately, I left Austin for 2 months to travel for work after this. Though I needed a haircut 2.5 weeks ago, I decided to wait until I was back in town to get the much needed haircut. And in the future, I dont see myself going anywhere else to cut my hair.

Finally decided to check out Sorek and had a superb experience with Jason & Jared. From the moment that I walked in, I was greeted and seated by a friendly gentleman (Jason).Thus began the discussion of what style of haircut I should receive and why (which I never really have when it comes to my hair). After a meticulous session of snip snip snip and buzz buzz buzz, I must say I look more dapper than Ive ever seen myself.Scheduled a follow up barbershop session immediately after the experience and cant wait to go back and continue getting services from Sorek.Check it out and you wont be disappointed! From the moment I walked in the store I could tell it was going to be a nice sartorial experience and that the store was the exact kind of menswear lifestyle brand I had been looking for. Was able to pick up two of their Oliver camp collar shirts which are great quality/weight and at a good price point. Also got to meet the owners, Jared and Jason, and they were really cool guys. Always happy to spend money at a local brand if the product and owners are great. 10/10 would and will recommend Sorek to friends

He was inquisitive, asking me how I liked to style my hair and what products I would use. He was very respectful and walked me through everything he was doing to cut and fade my hair, and gave suggestions along the way. Overall the experience was exhilarating while also being very relaxing and comfortable. Dean did a great job. Had some good laughs and learned about some new spots to visit in Austin. I usually go to this chain barbershop but they were full and these guys were able to get me in. All around superb experience. The whiskey was good as was the haircut. I recommend this to anyone.

Not only does Jason do an amazing job cutting hair, he makes the whole experience something I look forward to every couple of weeks. In addition to the amazing haircut, they have many options for some amazing clothes. There’s never pressure to buy any clothes, but having the option for such upscale and quality clothes is great. As I walked in, I immediately felt a heartfelt welcome, and immediately at home with everyone in the shop. I had the pleasure of receiving a haircut from Jason (who happens to run Sorek), and I have never had such a perfectionist take scissors to my delicate hair. He took every effort to give me the absolute best haircut possible, as well as, work with the natural contours of my hair to make it work to its fullest potential. Let me start by saying these guys are ridiculously good at their jobs. I got my haircut with Dean after a couple of months of quarantine, I was a bit nervous since I wasn’t from Austin, and was only visiting, but Dean did an excellent job. It was the best haircut experience I’ve ever had and these guys didn’t miss a beat. Dean gave me some excellent tips and even made me change my daily routine. 5/5 stars would recommend to anyone that wants a satisfying haircut experience.

Drove from Houston to visit a friend, and finally decided to get a haircut. I have been growing out my hair due to the pandemic, and felt anxious to have my hair cut outside my hometown. However, they had hand sanitizers at the entry, and it was just me and the barber the entire time! I had let my hair grow out during COVID and in looking in the mirror, it was time to go back. I had walked by Sorek a lot since I lived in the area and it always seemed like a cool place. I made an appointment after reading other reviews that said it was a perfect spot for a COVID cut. I made an appointment with Jason and it was great. Really friendly, spent time asking what I was looking for, and end result looked great! Jason was also really knowledgeable about products that would work well for my hair. I’d definitely recommend this spot.

Great experience here! I finally learned the proper way to care for and maintain my beard. Guys here had everything I needed product wise plus they let me bringing my a margarita from Leftys next door while I was getting attended to.
