Even though I screwed up when I scheduled, they helped me get in this week to get my haircut. Then my stylist treated me great and put up with me being a little high maintenance and gave me a great style.Then the bar tender was very friendly and made me one of the best made Old Fashions that Ive ever had. Very friendly and welcoming atmosphere.

Jacque is an amazing barber. She is one of the only barbers nearby that we have found can cut thick, curly hair just right for a high school boy. She is very talented and easy to talk to as well.The salon is masculine and warm and even has a full bar.

Bridgette cut my hair and was also fun to talk to as well. The haircut was great. Had a good time at the bar as well and enjoyed the bartender (sorry, forgot name?).

Amanda was very knowledgeable and helpful in helping me figure out my professional look. I am very ignorant to hair and styling and she made me feel comfortable. Madison behind the bar was also really great. She has a fantastic presence that you look for in a bartender. All in all I had a great time and a great cut!

Best barbershop/bar Ive been to. The bar has an incredible selections of liquor and beers on tap. The hair cuts are a little pricey but totaling worth it. Also every haircut comes with a complimentary drink, you want go wrong with that.

First time visiting. Good place and good haircut too. But the hair stylist got rude all of a sudden. Felt really uncomfortable after that so just left and didnt bother to get other services which I paid for.

Ive been looking for a good, consistent cut since I moved to Austin two years ago. I think I finally found it! The stylists here know what they are doing. They offered many tips and thoughts on how to get the results that I wanted with my hair which I really appreciated. Not to mention there is a really nice full bar at S&S :-)

Brittney was super welcoming and professional, and Lauren was the gal who cut my hair. She was really good and was pleasant to have a conversation with!Not to mention a free beer/ drink after? Just visiting Austin for the summer and I stumbled upon this place. The name caught my eye and I needed a haircut! Service was great and I quickly booked an appointment and got my haircut. Everyone there was very welcoming and had great customer service. First timers get a one time discount! I recommend going to check this place out.

I have always wanted to try this place. They were able to accommodate me that day. Scotty have me a great haircut and was very thorough. It’s an all inclusive haircut, wash and drink afterwards. My wife and kids waited in the lounge area and everyone was super friendly. The bartender made some good old fashions!

Like any place, your experience will depend on your stylist. I have had 2 fantastic stylists and one dudd. The overall atmosphere is really nice and the bar + free drink is fantastic. Super friendly hanging out at the bar and relaxing before or after the cut.

I had an excellent experience at Scissors & Scotch. It was my first time going there and I was really impressed with the friendly and easy going environment and the quality of the work. My haircut turned out great and my girlfriend even complimented me on my haircut when I got home, which is how I know it turned out great. Will definitely be going back for haircuts at Scissors & Scotch in the future and Im also excited to try their straight razor shave.

Stacy did my beard sculpting and she was a thrill to have for my visit. Very attentive, courteous, and had a good sense of humor! She gave me some good tips while there and asked the right questions on how I wanted my beard to look. Love the person who cut my hair...very professional and considerate of my safety concerns. She did a great job! Remained masked during th entire visit. Unfortunately as I arrived, the masked reception person took my temp but there was a male (manager?) with a company ball cap standing right behind her without a mask. I noticed he was still at the front desk as I paid and left - still unmasked. Really mixed signals and a poor example to employees and customers.

Didn’t have to wait at all after I checked in. Scotty did a fantastic job cutting my hair and had a great personality. It felt like a friend was cutting my hair. Bar has great options, unfortunately I couldn’t imbibe at the time, but look forward to coming out for future hair cuts.

Just had the strangest experience with Stacy. She called my name, didn’t look me in the eye or say hello. Then I sit down in the chair and show her a pic of the style I’m going for. Then she laughed and says “do you not know you have curly hair?... your hairs going to look completely different than that picture”Ok I understand, but maybe just the general style? Long on the top short on the sides? Seems pretty standard. She didn’t want to work with me at all, not sure why. When she suggested I look up more photos, I said ok and left. I legit felt like she was going to intentionally screw my hair up. I didn’t do anything to you Stacy! Weird lady.

Went first time for their 10 years haircut service- Seems like I was short changed on the service.No drink was asked for (I think they chose the customers according to their preference and affinity), No Steamed towel treatment and No back of neck razor shave was performed. Just the regular haircut within 20mins. Not sure how businesses can short change customers at this digital age and expect to still keep it secret maintaining a façade . It was a lot better than any of the other mens focused salons Ive been to, such as 18/8 and the boardroom.

Loved the business name and concept so drove 20 mins to experience it. Great service at the front desk and from the stylist. First ever facial included in the first-time 15 Year [scotch] service. Only thing I didnt love was the bourbon & ginger ale. Too much ice and ginger ale for the shot of bourbon. Still plan to return, with some direction on the free drink!

Most importantly, Amanda (my stylist) was super detailed, thorough, and very engaging. The best haircut and styling Ive had all year. I signed up for the program that day. Theyll even provide the tweener grooming fix up where necessary at no cost if you require a clean up on aisle 7 before your next scheduled styling. Thumbs up from me all around.

Instead of using scissors to cut my hair to desired length then use a comb carver to add texture, the person used a comb carver primarily to cut my hair. Uneven lengths that made my undercut look ridiculous. Felt liked my cut was being rushed the whole time. Don’t recommend.

The Scissors & Scotch on Southwest Parkway in Austin Texas is an excellent barbershop spot for personal care grooming with the added benefit of a scotch or other drink. They are relatively easy to find just off the Southwest Parkway with good storefront parking. The stylists are helpful and friendly. Every grooming service comes with a complimentary drink in the private lounge.

Was met with a super friendly staff and had probably the best haircut Ive had in a while for 20 bucks less than I was paying at a high end salon.
