Chris and Edgar are the best. Im very picky about who I let cut my hair. Have to say they are both amazing. Super friendly and cool people all around. Only downside is they dont typically accept walk-ins and go by appointment. But they are consistent, dedicate attention to detail, and they make sure that youre happy with your cut. Dont hesitate to book an appointment with old soul.

I had the Opportunity to have Chris as My Barber. Went for beard trim. I ended up with that And Had him cut my hair. He is An Awesome Barber and Young Man. Very Professional and clean!! That’s a big deal to Me! I would Suggest and Refer Him if In need of their Services. I was fortunate enough to be there when all chairs were full and can testify that all the Barbers here, Male and Female were nice to be around and would really look forward to ANY of them in the Future. I had high hopes for this place after reading the reviews.I asked for a mid fade. Each side looks different fro’ the other and the left fade is barely visible. The right side was not smooth at all as you can see from the pictures.

Had a great time at OSB. I needed a quick cut before my flight back to NYC and Leticia hooked it up! I was able to come in and get exactly what I wanted. Leticia was great with the blades and great with conversation. She blended my combover well and I had my first hot Towel experience here. I am a licensed cosmetologist and have cut my son hair for years but he wanted to try fades and differently detailed type barber work, so I made him an appt with a shop that he ended up having a TERRIBLE experience with. Then we found Olde Soul and George did a fantastic job in cut and in the overall experience!My son was SUPER happy and going to George turned his overall attitude around about getting a professional cut outside of mine.George and everyone in the shop was completely accommodating and super helpful and nice. After reading all the great reviews and looking at pictures that people have posted, I was genuinely optimistic about this place as my last barber left the place I used to go to (Floyds Barbershop).The shop/place was super clean and staff was friendly.Besides that, I felt I was pretty clear about what I wanted done (a mid fade and 2 off the top). Yet I got a super high fade, which is not what I asked for. So unfortunately, its not something I could get addressed by going back the day after.I understand that hair will grow out, however, Im unhappy with it to where Ill probably wear a hat over it until it grows out a bit.Something I noted during my visit: There was another client there who was trying to add an add on service. The other barber was adamant about not being able to do it because the client didnt include it when he booked initially online.The rationale was that the times are allocated to make sure that theyre on schedule, which makes perfect sense to me at face value.However, I got there at the time of my appointment, and had to wait 10-12 minutes before I was helped.So I see it as the client having to be respectful of the companys time (which I fully understand), but not the other way around.When I booked the appointment online part of the services description included a light shoulder massage (which was a determining factor for me too). However, that was not something that was done during my visit.Now, if this is something that is not being done at the moment due to Covid-19, I totally understand. However, I would at the very least remove it from the service description as it is misleading.For the reasons listed above, I feel that the value of the service came short of the cost for the service.

I can’t begin to explain how happy I am with the service here. I’m new to Austin and really needed a barber I could trust and build rapport with and I’m glad to have found that in Miza. I get haircuts pretty regularly to keep my fade tight and he’s been amazing. The place itself is amazing, the guys are all super chill, it’s in a great location right on E 6th, and they always offer you water, juice, or beer for waiting. 100% go here!

Their pandemic response: second to none. Asked me to wash hands, took my temp. Plus limited the waiting area.The staff: from hostess to barbers to barber/owner, all were pleasant and amicable. I love Olde Soul and have received top tier haircuts for the last couple of months and am always so pleased with the quality and attention to detail. Well worth the price! I also love the look/aesthetic of the shop. All the stylists give great cuts. I left a 4 star review however because the last couple of times Ive come the language has been quite unprofessional. Im a grown man so I can take cussing. But it just degrades the quality of the environment when you have staff dropping f bombs frequently. I want to recommend this place for my conservative friends or young men but I feel like I cant. I dont want to come across as a prude, but I just feel like cleaning up the language would only help bring more people through those doors.

He opened his own shop recently and man is he crushing the game. Youre not rushed in and out of the chair and his level of detail is unmatched. George always hooks me up with a top notch cut and makes sure I leave looking good.The shop itself is set up great and makes it comfortable for you to wait for your appointment. The free drink definitely doesnt hurt.One of the main things about a good barbershop has to be the conversation. And in that regard, these guys never let you down.Always a good time hanging with George and the crew. And the awesome haircut is a plus.

Finding a new barber is always rough for me. My hair is curly (3B) and for some reason, most barbers really struggle with it. I tried 5 or 6 of the best shops around downtown and on the east side, but Ive been set since my first cut from George.You walk in the door and they hand you a beer. The shop is super convenient, clean, and well set up. The barbers are all great and make it a fun environment to relax in. Im always seen at my appointment time (rare in some shops). Their prices are good for the area and, most importantly, the cuts are consistent and top-notch.These guys are passionate about their work and it shows. I would highly recommend Olde Soul as the best barbershop in Austin!

Colombo did a superb job. I’m usually really finicky/meticulous about my hair and my beard and he was extremely patient. The products that they use for their hot shave smell and feel like top of the line. Although a small barber shop, it’s kept very clean and has welcoming ambience. I had To change my appointment time within 5-7 minutes of booking it and they changed it free of charge. To me that shows that they care about their patrons.For my first time, Colombo and the shop as a whole did an excellent job.

Great atmosphere, even better haircuts. These guys are the real deal. Ive been getting fades from George for around a year – I followed him here from a different barbershop. Youll get a high quality cut with the perfect amount of speed and efficiency. Straight razor finish, hot towel, shoulder massage, all that jazz, but you dont need to set aside hours from your day. Youll be in and out in a jiffy.Aside from the quality of the cut, I respect the precautions Olde Soul has put in place for the pandemic. Face shields, strict mask enforcement, sanitization between clients, and a staggered schedule for the barbers all combined so I felt perfectly safe during my appointment. I wont go anywhere else to get my hair cut. Do yourself a favor, go to Olde Soul.

From the crew to the prices. This place is LEGIT. Today was my first time coming through. The guys there are fantastic with their work. Haircut plus beard trim. Lining and edging is crisp. Overall i spent $75 on haircut plus beard and including a tip. Def got the old school barbershop feel. Will 100% be coming back everytime.

I had recently moved to the area and was looking for a good Barber. They had just opened maybe a month before I had moved and at the time it was only Edgar and George. They have grown and Im sure David and Colombo are just as skilled. I have had haircuts by both George and Edgar and they are both great! Old Soul Barbershop is such a great place to get a mens haircut in Austin Texas. They are located very close to downtown, offer many types of mens grooming services, and have very friendly and professional barbers. I have been getting my hair cut from Dave Davis, who works there, for the past three years and I have never received a bad hair cut or bad conversation from him. His personality just adds to the already relaxing and inviting atmosphere of Old Soul. I highly recommend getting a cut from Dave or any other barber there, you will not regret it.

I was recently looking for a new barber due to the last place I was going to just seemed to not work out and their branding of loyalty with customers was nonexistent. Well that was a complete 180 to what I found here with George and the team. Aside being great professionals offering quality haircuts and products they really make me feel at home every single time I walk through the doors. Being able to book a reservation made it easy and I was given the instructions (awkward quarantine stuff) and the experience was on time, clean, and I walked out of there looking great! Ive gone to Olde Soul twice for haircuts and both times Ive been very pleased with my experience. The barbers there are hospitable, friendly, and very good at what they do. Ive gotten my hair cut twice by George, and he talks to me beforehand to make sure he knows what I want. And both times he has sent me out looking sharp! (my picture posted here is shortly after a haircut).As a lower-income person, I dont normally spend a lot of money on a haircut, but they have been worth every penny.
