Stylist was fine. Front desk girls were rude and unprofessional. It was a very “flirt with straight guys” vibe and when they saw I was not, they dropped the act. Downtown Finley’s is professional and has talented employees that don’t flirt for tips.

Had some good experiences, but last time sent my 12 year old in first while I was parking with a picture of a haircut, but, according to him, hairstylist did not look at it. Emerged with a military cut. Oh well, its summer.

This is my got-to place now. Mendy is great, best haircut I’ve had in years. She’s fast too. Finley’s is a nice place and I love the shoulder massager they use at the end.

Cut my hair for 15 minutes when it was a 45 min appointment. Didn’t take her time at all. Poor quality haircut too she claimed she’d been doing it for 7 years. Waste of time and money.

I really like Finleys because Ive never had a bad haircut there. I dont choose a specific barber, just go to whoever, so its especially surprising that no matter who Ive ever had do the cut, its always been great.

First ever time spending a high amount on a haircut, but after them i will never feel the same about it. The lady cut my hair and was full of information and worked quick and precise, the gentlemen that shaved was wonderful. Great service, especially for the price.I had accidentally scheduled a 12:30 appt at the N. Lamar location instead of the South one. In a matter of 3 minutes the situation was sorted and I had a new appointment with them at 1:30. Great people with great attitudes.

Stylist was distracted during hair cut and thinned the back of my hair instead of cutting it shorter. My wife had to inform me once I got home and we both agreed it looked bad. They also tried to tell me that someone with my exact and very uncommon full name used my appointment slot 1 hour before it was actually scheduled, and they needed to move some things around to fit me in now. People are nice but are very unorganized and distracted employees.

Been going here for a year now, Mendy has been my barber, (very hard to book with her due to when she actually works) my apt was canceled after being 12 min late, after having an hour time slot booked. Then requesting to ONLY cut my hair and have NO blade work to make it only a 30 min time slot. I was given the petty excuse “well if everyone was late” etc instead of being understanding to a LOYAL customer . Front desk informed me mendy was very upset and they would call me back, I never received a call back only a voicemail as I tried to return the call.

Best place to get a haircut downtown, period.Ultra clean atmosphere, the most comfortable waiting room, and a better variety of free drinks then anywhere else Ive been. The front desk personnel are also very considerate and polite.Also, Ive used 3 different stylists here and all three gave me awesome fades.. never had anything but a 5 star experience, very glad I stopped using Birds and gave this place a shot.Shout out to KJ, shes the best.

First paid hair cut in 20+ years. (Had kids and started cutting my own hair to save time and money). Now Im 54 and kids are gone. Decided to get hair professionally cut. Wow Im a fan of Finleys and Angel Daniel at the Austin, South Lamar location. Cut, shave, wash, hot towel, neck massage. Dude had me feeling like George Clooney when I left! Ill be back.

Other than the awesome atmosphere, the free drinks and the cool folks, they really take care of you and do one hell of a haircut! Youd figure a haircut is nothing to get excited about but Finleys changes that. I was helped out by KelliJo and she was absolutely fantastic! Shes fun and nice to talk with, gives suggestion and opinions without being pushy. I got a drastic change and chopped off my 15 inch long hair and she left me with something I can experiment and gave me options since I pretty much had no idea what direction i wanted to go in. I enjoyed the whole experience and the atmosphere. I cant wait to go back!

The place is nice and everybody is friendly, but my men’s haircut was not amazing and for 35$, I think I can do better.This felt like a cheapish haircut with some fancy amenities in a hip establishment. I’m not sure I would recommend for people with tougher hair. I’d give it 3.5 stars if I could.This would be a nice cut if it were half the price.

Lovely location with easy parking garage access by the theater. The waiting room has lots of tasty beverages and comfy chairs. I get a haircut and beard trim from Sharon, and she does a spectacular job every time! The shampoo and quick massage at the end are nice finishing touches.

Great place for men to get a haircut and other grooming. Come early to enjoy some complimentary drinks including wine, beer and cider. My first visit here was with Liz and I only have her cut my hair now. Shes a perfectionist, but Ive heard others are good too at this location.

Pretty good haircut. Very quick 30 minute in and out. Sundays get a father and son discount so good day to take your son. My son loves the back massager. Also get a beer during your cut which is nice

Though my appointment ran late I was in no rush and I got to enjoy myself in the lounge and indulge in a beer or two while waiting. My barber was Mendy and she was quick, understood exactly what I wanted and executed my haircut just like how I use to get them at home. Being my first time there I had a great experience and will go back.

Ive been to several barbershop in Austin. This is by far the best one. The staff is always very welcoming & the place is clean. Ive had my hair cut by Aaron & Tiffany. They both do a fantastic job cutting & styling! Ive recommended them to my coworkers & theyre now regulars as well.

Incredible barbershop on S. Lamar. The girls are amazing. The waiting area has tv, beers, and wine. The high ceilings and style remind you of a classy shop in a big city. With better prices! Let your beard grow a few extra days and go for the shave while youre there!

I have a lot of trouble finding the perfect barber, and when I have to find a new one, I’d rather just let my hair grow out.Here, we found one of the best I have ever had. And the head massage is amazing!The service here is good, and it’s convenient when you want to see a movie afterwards, or have a cup of coffee or lunch.

Hit or miss on South Lamar. Pretty sure the person I had hadn’t ever done a beard trim before. Looked terrible, uneven, and had to tell her what to do at each step. Finally gave up and left. Such a waste of money.

Great girl gave our son a crazy cools soccer hairstyle. She was patient and kind with the little guy.
