I scheduled an appointment for 4pm and I got off work early. I thought I could help them out if to get off early if I came early (3pm) so I called to see if they wanted to take me early. They said they were actually running behind and wanted me to come at 4:30 pm which is totally fine I understand that. They also said they were only taking cash which is also fine. I went to the bank to pull out cash just for them and was on time to the 4:30 appointment. I showed up and they had closed up shop already (online it says they close at 6:30pm). I not only waited an extra 30-45 minutes for my appointment but for them not to show up is completely unprofessional. I also called them several times to hopefully get rescheduled or get an explanation but they never responded. I don’t write reviews ever but they wasted a lot of my time and I recommend everyone to look somewhere else.

Im not usually in the business of writing 1 star reviews as I like to support local businesses and am happy to share my positive experiences with others if I receive good service. Unfortunately, I never received service from Javis Tiny Barber Shop despite booking an appointment.I booked an appointment on Thursday 9/2 for the morning of Saturday 9/4 at 9am. I show up on time on Saturday to find the closed sign still up and the door saying that they will return at 10am. I go ahead and wait a few minutes to see if its just because they are running late since Im likely the first appointment of the day. So I wait and no one shows up, so I call the business only to be taken to voicemail, so I left a message indicating that I had booked an appointment and no one was at the shop. So I decided to wait for an hour to see if they would show up at 10am since thats when the sign indicated they would be back, and still no one was there at 10am.I never heard back from the business and am saddened to have not gotten a haircut at all. Since I never received any communication or apology for no showing on a customer, I believe that warrants a 1 star for my experience. Screenshot of booking confirmation added for proof.

A cute and tiny barber shop, perfect for Austin. Every cut I’ve seen come out of that shop has always been clean and crisp. Javi and his team of employees are amazing at listening to what the costumer wants, and making it come to life. Absolutely recommended to anyone looking for a new, long time Austin made barber.

This is the spot right here! Got my haircut from David and he did not disappoint, definitely a talented barber! The owner Javi is a cool dude and David is a big compliment to his shop! Definitely will drive the 40 minutes to get my haircut here again!

Terrible experience. There are better things to do with your $35.Dont go if you are looking for a good quality place. Cleanliness, the smell..everything was low quality. No attention to detail. Ended up with an uneven haircut.

Amazing new style barbershop, w/ even better barbers. I got my cut by Javi and was beyond pleased they’re usually appointment only and you can definitely tell why the website is simple and quick to use though. Highly recommend east side locals and everyone else to check out Javi and Jay.
