Moved here not too long ago and have been dreading the fact that I had to find a new barber. Hesitant at first, but Guy’s Barbershop was able to get me in and got me right. Fast forward two months later, and Guy does the job right. He takes his time and the cut is A1 quality. He will not disappoint!

Guy is the best, actual barber Ive found here in the Austin area since Ive moved out here around 5 years ago. Hes consistent, friendly, and very talented at what he does. Hes also been accommodating in fixing my hair after I butchered it at home trying to do it myself ha. I do highly recommend checking him out if youre searching for a reliable and skilled barber.

I cannot commend Guy enough for what he did for my son. Finding a good barber is very difficult! I am so thankful I found this man! I want to let it be known that part of being a good barber is being compassionate! I called after MUCH disappointment (check my other reviews for details not related to Guy’s) and was pleasantly spoke to. I asked if the individual on the other line could please cut my 10 year old sons hair. He responded that he could and I advised that I was just a few minutes away. When we walked in WE WERE GREETED VERY KINDLY! This was around closing IT WAS VERY CLEAN AND ORGANIZED and when we got there he was very patient with my son (who has a disability but you wouldn’t know it by looking at him) he was very receptive of the fact that kids were in the vicinity and he acted very professionally . I can just tell that he is a caring person and he certainly earned my business! He took the time to make my sons hair look very nice! I wanted to tell him just how much I had gone through just that day trying to find someone to cut my sons hair but I know I would have started crying from all of the memories of the difficulties so I didn’t. And even now I get teary eyed. . But I want it to be known that it is greatly appreciated and I highly recommend this place for people who care about people!

This place is hit or miss. Got a really good cut the first visit. Had a very bad experience the second time. Owner had a really bad Attitude and did a hack job on my sons hair. By far his worst haircut ever. Had to pay another barber 25.00 to fix the 30.00 hack job. Do not recommend!

I have been going here for a couple years now. Guy is a solid barber. I always get compliments on the quality of the cut. He is professional and does a great job.

I showed up today thinking it would be crowded. I usually go to great cuts and places like that. You can never get a haircut from some beauty school. I got this lady cutting my hair today and she knocked it out of the park. A guys barbershop haircut not some beauty school cut. Havent had a haircut in close to three months. Feel like a man.again absolutely fantastic. Found my new haircut place.

Ive been in Austin for 20yrs and Great barbers are few far and in between. Guy is an Exceptional barber all the way around. From fades to beards he is definitely the best in Austin and the only one I will let cut my hair and beard. Great customer service and great Guy! I highly recommend stopping by and trust me, you will continue going back!

Pros--Hair has noticeably more freedom, a bystander called it feathered and lethal.-Steak tastes better, and vegetables taste worse.-Truck now pays me for gas money.-Cool side of the pillow never gets warm.-Toaster strudels now make themselves.Cons-- I guess nothing really...In all seriousness, this is a high quality establishment operated by true professionals. If youre looking for a great cut, look no further, this is where youll find it.

My husband won’t go anywhere else. Guys is the best barbershop in Atx hands down. They always make time for his fade and it’s always perfect. Everyone that works there does quality work. If you like a tight fade, this is where you want to go

Ive been getting a haircut from Guy for nearly 3 years. He truly is blessed with his hands and does a phenomenal job with clippers. Never leave here with a haircut I did not love. Some may say its pricey, my counterargument would be that the quality of the cut is worth every dime. There are two other barbers here and they are also very talented.

It probably wasnt a good idea to come in an hour before closing time without an appointment to try to get a haircut from the man the place is named after but I did just that and Guy was great about it. He stayed an extra 45 minutes with me after close to make sure the job was done right. Delaying his leave from work even longer, at his suggestion, he also did a fantastic job on my beard which was a first time for me. He shows a true passion for cutting hair and it shows in his work. I couldnt be happier and though I dont get my hair cut often, when I do Ill be going to Guys.

I love this place. I am from Chicago and have spent the past nine years in Austin trying to find somewhere that can cut a competent fade. This is the place. Great people, good atmosphere. Guy kills it on the fades. I almost dont want to tell anyone else so it doesnt get too popular! That said, its awesome. I am bringing my nephew because they do awesome kids cuts as well.

If you are looking for a legit barbershop, you know how hard they are to find even in Austin. North Austin/Anderson Mill area now has one! Ive worked with both Guy and Chris now and they are fantastic at their craft. Chris did a really nice scissor cut on top and faded down properly on the sides. Guys work with a straight razor is phenomenal and his cut on me was really precise. Hands down, if you are anywhere near here, go see these guys. They will keep you looking fresh with a nice clean and precision cut every time!

I strongly recommend not going to this place. I showed up with a picture of the hair cut I normally get. 30 minutes later my sh:t was all messed up. Also I said to trim my beard a little. The guy took off inches. I’m seriously displeased with the services.

Great place to get a cut if youre in the Amill area. Id recommend Sisko. Great person that gives great cuts. Make sure you book in advance! Spots fill up quick.

My haircut can do the talking and it has! Chris be crazy with them clippers. I would go there for anything and I recommend anyone go there if you want to look as fly as I do. The other barbers also putting in that work with other customers. Chill vibes, great cuts, amazing results!

Sisko cut both my boys hair yesterday. One of my boys had very long hair and decided to go short and he did a great job with it. Place is nice and clean. Will be returning!

I was looking for a Barber for a long time here in Austin. Someone dependable and who knows how to cut. Let me tell you this is the place. Drove by here found Guy and havent been no where else since. Guy keeps me faded and edge up all within a reasonable price. The atmosphere is chill yet professional. You wont find a better Barbershop that can do it all. Make an appt because its popular.

I went into this place... hoping to get a great haircut... but for the amount of money I payed here... I got a F***UP hair cut... I came home to cut my hairs from the top side of my ears... also I had 2 trim my hair down from my top side of hair...

Told the lady not to cut the top that im tryna grow it out.... she proceeded to cut the top. She did do a good job with the edge up but she cut the top of my hair i was trying to grow out for dreads ...i was very unhappy and it cost me $40 to look like the man from that blade movie from years ago.

Wonderful atmosphere and awesome service. Guy is the best Barber my husband and I have ever met. We were new to the area and tried quite a few options before trying Beantown Barber Shop. Now its the only place my husband will go to.

12/10/2016 - Called ahead to ask about a beard trim, was told to come on in. Came in around 1:15, saw that both chairs were occupied, had a seat. Sat there for LITERALLY 45 minutes, was never even acknowledged. Waited until a chair opened up, thinking FOR SURE that hed come over and talk to me. Instead he ignored me while he cleaned up his station for 10 minutes. Eventually I just walked out. First and last time I try to go here. I literally cant believe this just happened. What a waste of time.
