I cannot recommend this place enough. Theyve been a god send on multiple occasions for our vehicle needs. They arent going to gouge you and always keep you up to date with every step.Brian in particular has been so great to work with even while we were dealing with a complicated insurance claim mess.We recently moved to the other side of town, but we know it is 100% worth the drive to Chelsies for any of our vehicle needs.

I have had a few cars serviced here, and they do a good job and are fairly priced.

These guys have earned my loyalty. I took my car in after having to jump the car many times this week. I thought it was either a bad battery or bad alternator or worse. They ran diagnostics and proved that everything was working as expected. It looks like the connectors on the battery just got knocked loose. The guys at Chelseas could have easily just recommended new parts and a lot of labor but they did not! Cheapest and easiest trip to the shop Ive ever had!

As a young woman (who knows nothing about cars), I am weary of going to new shops. I took my car in bc it was having problems with the cooling system. They found the problem and quoted an $800 repair, but they went beyond that to test whether the overheating caused engine damage. They did find damage and recommended I get a new car, despite me being willing to pay for the repair. They only made $65ish dollars for looking at it. Great family shop that I fully trust.

I have a terrible expirence on repairing my brake system. they told me my master cylinder has issue, and changed it. but next monday they told me the main issue is abs unit, not master cylinder, and they can not get abs unit, but I must pay 700+$, and they dont fix my issue.

Took in my Mustang for a check engine light. They were able to identify the issue and let me know about additional details I was glad to be made aware of. They completed the service the same afternoon and the cars running great!

I needed to get a state inspection done and they were able to get me in same-day. Everyone was masked and appeared to be following proper social distancing. We were in and out in about 30 minutes or so.

Got my car inspected, no appointment. Office is pleasant, with seating spaced for social distancing. I observed them cleaning surfaces after each customer. Total time in lobby was @ 30 minutes. Ill definitely use them again.

Took my car for state inspection. The service was fast and done well.

I was told my oil change would be a 2 hours roughly so I dropped it off and came back 3 hours later! Once I finally got my car back there was a scratch on my door that wasn’t there before. I called immediately to see if there was anything they would do since it had happened on their watch. Bryan wasn’t really trying to lend any help or solution. Used to be my go to now definitely wouldn’t recommend to any of my friends/family.

The only place I go for automotive work any more. They do great work at fair prices. Theres a reason theyve been around for so long

Nothing special about this place, just another overpriced mechanic. They charge the same, if not more than the dealer. Very expensive. You would think at the high hourly rate, they would at least be faster...not so. I went looking for a nearby shop for my car and feel I got ripped off. I wont be back.

We have used Chelsies Automotive A few times now and although getting car repairs is not cheap we always know that we are not being over charged or scammed. The staff is honest, friendly and very helpful.Today with fingers crossed I was hoping for a good outcome on the vehicle I brought in. Bryan was upfront with me and said that the repairs exceeded the worth of the car. Sadly, somehow I figured. He did not charge me to diagnose and I am so thankful!!!We will always trust and use Chelsies in the future!!

Walk in to do my inspection bc the line at jiffy lube was an hour wait. Chelsie was friendly and knowledgeable, was in and out in a flash. Lobby is clean and quiet, can’t have asked for a better experience. Thanks Chelsie!

I know I should just let it go, but with car a.c. season coming up, I thought about what happened to me at Chelsies auto, and I wanted to warn everyone. I had the blower motor for the a.c. replaced in July, 2015, only to have it fail the next day. I returned and told Chelsie himself that my a.c. wasnt blowing. They wanted to charge me again to check it out, and would not address the fact that the blower motor had failed. To be fair, maybe I was not clear about the problem. I had another mechanic replace the blower motor and he said that Chelsie had used a cheap replacement. Everyone beware!

I like this shop because its family owned. They dont offer any financing but their charges are fair and they keep you informed. They are friendly and the waiting room is clean and comfortable. This is,a local business you should support.

Consistently great work, my car always has a smoother ride and sound when I leave. Their prices are very reasonable - I compared them to some competitors and Chelsies beat them by $30 minimum. The guys are great, the waiting room is comfortable, bring a book or your laptop and theyll be done before you know it.I would highly recommend their services to everyone. Havent had an issue yet and I am confident that if there were an issue they wouldnt skirt around it or give me the runaround. I will be sad to lose them when I relocate out of state.

Chelsie and his son were excellent. I had never been to them before, but called in for an emergency repair and was out the door with a working car within an hour(reasonable time for what was fixed). Due to no fault of theirs, the work took longer than I was quoted, but I was only charged for the time I was quoted and not the time it took. I should add that the way they chose to repair the car was wayyyyy more annoying for them but also quicker. My dealership and probably most mechanics wouldve taken the easy way out and removed the bumper and radiator to save them frustration at my own financial expense.

My check engine light was on so I took it to get looked at. I paid 91 dollars for a diagnostic. They said it was a certain thing and after that the check engine light would be off and I would be good to go. So, I got a quote for what it needed and got it done. I took it home and the light came back on. I went back and told them it was still on. I believe they should have found everything pertaining to the check engine light seeing as I paid 91 dollars for it. So, they went back and looked more (which they should have the first time) and found that I needed even more things that were even more expensive than the first thing that I needed done. If I would have known all these things I would not have even repaired the car in the first place and would have gotten a new car because this car is already 12 years old. I initially thought I was paying 500 for the check engine light but after having to go back and getting it looked at again it looks like I am going to have to put another 1000 into it. If youre going to do something, do it right the first time.

I am very happy with the quality of service that Chelsies Automotive provided me. When I suddenly began to hear a loud thud underneath my car when shifting the gear, I drove into their workshop without a pre-scheduled appointment but the gentleman (Bryan) at the front desk was so helpful that he scheduled my car for a diagnostic test right away. Not only they accurately diagnosed and fixed the problem in my car, I now feel that my car has become a lot less noisy and smoother. I will definitely choose Chelsies Automotive again if I need any help in the future. Thanks for a five-star work on my car, Chelsies Automotive!

I continually tell myself and Chelsies that Im so glad they exist. I have, again and again, had honest, good work done by them- sometimes at no charge at all. They even let me watch them do all the work and explain it to me as they go, so I can learn from the repairs. Theyve told me to do certain easy things myself to save me from paying them, referred me to other places when they thought itd be cheaper for me, and theyve even done $50 of work for me for free. Chelsie and his whole staff (especially Shawn) are grade A quality team that Ive grown to trust and respect. I send friends there all the time w/full confidence!

I went here today to check front end of chassis, as I got some clicking noise after I replaced CV axle by myself. They are really good guys and spent about 50 minutes for diagnosis. I initially thought they may just do it formalistic but I was wrong. They found the issue and charged me $40. I am so excited this $ is very worthy because it saves me a lot of time and money if I go for a wrong direction to fix the issue.I HIGHLY recommend this store. I hope I dont have to come back, but if needed, I will definitely come back. They have my trust.

ZERO Star! Just had my axles replaced to discover extreme shaking of the vehicle and almost lost control. Also, the alignment was extremely messed up after this and should not have been. I know this because I have replaced these parts before on a few of my vehicles, same vehicle, just didnt have time. When I went straight to Firestone to have it re-aligned on the life time free alignment that I have, they came inside and asked me if I have it worked on recently. There was a LOOSE BOLT. This could have been catastrophic. This is similar to what happened on my other vehicle in 2010. They replace the tie rods on it and put the part in BACKWARDS. I found this out after driving to Tulsa, OK. We experienced a very screwed up alignment and lack of control and had to take it to a repair shop there. This shop could not align the vehicle because the part was installed backwards. Chelsie did reimburse me for that expense, but just doesnt seem sincere, honest or caring. He refused to refund any labor done on the work this week, but would discount future work. I will never take my vehicles there again. They do not care about customer satisfaction!

Coming into the business, you get a sense that they dont want to be disturbed. No t courtesy or welcoming greeting. They did not top off my coolant nor windshield fluids. I had the next oil change done by a different vendor and they told me the oil filter gasket was not replaced! Disappointing service indeed! I tried to use local owned businesses but this one blew it.

Nice place and good customer support. I went in for a oil leak check and after diagnosis, they suggested some repairs out of which they suggested me to first go with only one replacement and wait for a few weeks before getting the other repairs done. Fortunately, the replacement they suggested fixed the entire problem for me. Would suggest anyone for Chelsies!!

Our brakes suddenly started going out on Hwy 183 on our morning commute to work. We were able to roll to Chelsies Automotive, before the brakes went completely out. Thankfully even though it was very early, the owner was just arriving and let us go inside to wait until they opened. Before long, our car was up on the lift, the problem was identified, and we were back on our way to work. And without paying an exorbitant price as Im sure we would at some auto repair shops. The customer service was excellent. If we lived in the area, we would definitely use them for all of our automotive needs. Highly recommend!

We went to chelseas automotive -$20 coupon on hand I waited 15 minutes in the parking lot and nobody came and greeted me even though I saw a people inside playing on their phones. then when someone did finally come and greet me they said were gonna close soon even though it was 20 min till close!so I just said forget it and came to Jiffy Lube amd paid full price!

Went in for an oil change and a radiator flush. Afterward, I heard a noise that I thought was new. Chelsie took the time to go for a ride with me, find the noise, and diagnose the problem. It ends up the stereo I recently had installed wasnt grounded well and had nothing to do with the service they provided for me. I got that fixed and everything is working great.

Id do 10 stars if I could! I was on my way out for a road trip and realized a headlight was out. I was on a time crunch and Bryan greeted me with nothing but smiles and a cheerful attitude AND Mike knocked this out for me SO efficiently that my itinerary stayed relatively on track. They were the coolest guys, so friendly and awesome...While I was waiting, I chatted with a young girl Avery who said her family has been going their for years and said wonderful things about the guys. I learned they are a mom and pop shop and as a mom and pop small business owner myself, I am more than happy to continue to give Chelseas Automotive my repeat business!I have some other issues with my Dodge, so Ill be bringing it in next week for repairs based off this experience. Friendly, quick State inspection.

I took my truck there so they could diagnose an issue I was having difficulty tracking down. Since my issue only happened when it was cold, I had taken a video. I was explaining my problem to Bryan at the front desk and I showed him the video. He suggested that I text the video to Deckers since he was the one that would be working on it. I sent it to him and left the truck with them. Within an hour, Deckers was texting me to get more info so he could accurately track down the problem. He continued to communicate with me throughout the entire time they had my truck. My truck was repaired quickly and at a fair price. 2 days after getting my truck back, I got a follow up text from Deckers asking how the truck was running and if everything was taken care of. This is a family owned shop. I appreciated the attention, care, and respect that went into my encounter with them. Ill definitely be bringing my vehicles here for any future needs. Keep up the great work!

I always like to see who is running a shop before I give them my business. Chelsie was working the counter when I came in for an estimate. He quoted me a fair price for a job I had started but didnt have time to finish. It sounds strange but he had grease under his fingernails and that showed me he was a hands on owner which made me trust him more. They seem like they do honest work for a fair price. Some other reviews complain about how much work was needed for their cars. Sounds to me like they had POS cars that were barely running in the first place and Chelsie was trying his best to fix it the right way instead of doing a patch up. A good mechanic is hard to find and I think Ive found a whole shop of them at Chelsies Automotive.

I have heard great word-of-mouth for some time, but its hard to trust the Last of the Navajos to strangers after other experiences. The front counter guy was friendly and the shop was clean. I spoke to the mechanic, who turned out to be the owner. He is a good guy. What impressed me most is the huge number of questions they patiently answered. I had already run my own tests and researched for hours, and some facts became obvious; they thoroughly know their job, they do not sugar-coat anything, and their heart is in the right place. They do good work.In a time where disappointment, mediocrity, and indifference are normal, I am very happy to have found Chelseas Automotive. But go somewhere else so I can get in more easily.

I give these guys one star because they did seem honest, straitforward, knew what they were talking about and were very friendly. However, I am sorely disappointed in my recent visit. Check engine light was on. Took it in for diagnostics after a previous discussion with them about my codes I got from the auto parts store and what work had already been done to my car. Long story short... I paid them for a diagnosis that I had already given them to which they recommended I get certain things repaired....the same stuff that had already been replaced. In the end, I left less the diagnostic fee plus my car in the same shape. What a rip off. Thumbs down and this place will never get my business again.

I was an avid supporter of chelsie and sent all my friends and family to his shop for years. even when it was a precision auto tune and not his own shop. I considered them a family owned shop you could trust, that is until I sent a friend of mine there to replace the gas tank in his 89 firebird. I would not have believed his story if I hadnt heard it myself. Not only did they quote him $500 for labor alone, but told him it would take 2 weeks and the part cost would be extra because they were unable to find a replacement tank, in the ENTIRE STATE. A quick google search was able to find over a half dozen replacement tanks OEM and not in just the Austin area. So sad that I can no longer trust this shop, my mothers company took all 100+ of their fleet vans here and they were the only shop my first 2 cars ever saw. Also the last time I took my car there for an oil change, they replaced my brand new plug with one that was so stripped i almost had to drill it out the next time i changed my oil. I dont know what happened to this shop.

Worst experience ever. Go for rightside frontlight replacement. After the replacement, they slammed the hood of car so hard that they broken the leftside frontlight!!!! What is more, they charged me twice for this all because they got it broken!!! What a fun!!!!! They broken it and let me to pay the bill. They really did good job! Finally, they didnt even say sorry about all the things.Just dont hesitate to escape from this place. There are lots of other good auto repairs around. Trust me. You will have a bad experience here.

I was suspicious, at first, that they might be taking advantage of me based on my gender and lack of car knowledge, as evidenced by them telling me at each oil change that THIS needs to be replaced, or THAT needs to be fixed. But they havent done this to me lately, so Ill go ahead and blame my -- literally -- worthless Chrysler.
