Have been bringing my Audi to Buddhas Garage for about 3 years now. Since my first visit, these guys have been top notch. Theres a reason their reviews are consistently high, and now I know why. Damon does a great job of explaining the work that will be done in a way that is easy for me to understand, the fair associated costs and future maintenance to keep my car healthy and in tip top shape. Theyre always in a pleasant mood and can tell its a fun place to work at (rare in an auto repair shop). I will continue to bring my autos here for oil changes, repairs and diagnosis. As a person who knows little to nothing about cars, it is so nice to have a place to take my car where I know I’m not getting ripped off. I took my car here once for an issue that turns out was a recall. They diagnosed it, printed off the recall for me, and sent me to my dealership, all free of charge. Another time my car needed a small fix, also free of charge. At my dealership, they always suggested 1000s of dollars worth of maintenance, but at Buddha’s they are honest about what’s actually necessary and charge a fair price. Cannot recommend their services enough!

We dropped my car off to have my a.c. Looked at. Buddha’s was able to fix the issue & we’re driving in 100 degree weather, a.c. barely full blast & we’re feeling wonderful on our trip. Thank you Buddha’s Garage for my cold 🥶 a.c.

They are knowledgeable, they care, theyre patient with customers, they give the employees reasonable work hours, and they have never charged me for anything suspect. I have gotten 2nd and 3rd opinions and they are the best. If I want to know more they will take the time to explain and look at the car with me. You will need to go during business hours but, for me, its worth it for mechanics I can trust.

Went to this place called Tuffy to get my oil changed ( had a coupon) . After my. Oil change and exception they quoted me 1,490$ in repairs including new brakes I just put in . Called Buddha’s Garage spoke to Damien, took car in next morning, 3 hours later $ 93.00 and he fixed the bottom of my. Skirt for me and I function need a new axel barring ! Came in with a road noise problem. Buddha’s showed me exactly what was causing the problem (two front bearings plus inner/outer tire rods) and got me price quote I couldn’t beat.Turns out I didn’t need the inner rods but they saw my front brakes were shot so they replaced them without an up charge. Would definitely use these guys again.

I took my car to Buddha’s today for a second opinion after my dealership told me I would need $10,000+ worth of repairs done to my car. I let them know the situation and asked them to see if they could find anything out of the ordinary. Highly recommended if youre looking for honest, quality auto repair. Used to bring my old Ford in for maintenance and repairs and never got the run-around. I used to be a mechanic but since Im not a guy a lot of mechanics think I dont know anything about vehicles. Never once was I talked down to or told I needed something that I didnt at Buddhas. Pricing was fair and in line with honest man-hours. Vehicle was always ready when promised and everyone there was chill and friendly. Everyone Ive sent to them has been happy with their service. Once the warranty on my new car is up Ill definitely be back.

This place is the best. Very friendly and easy to talk to guys. I crashed my truck a while back and needed a new rear-end. Will found one for my manual Tacoma, which I guess are hard to come by, and had it at the shop within a week. The truck was done the day the part arrived. While Will took it for a test drive after the repair, he noticed I had a bent rim also. I had no idea. I will for sure be bringing my vehicle here for now on. Top notch service!

I couldnt and wouldnt do this place justice with just a simple review and a generic5 stars. The place is too good. Upfront, honest, spot-on pricing, and never leaving like you just left a mechanics garage (fearful, ripped off, subpar work, etc.) Their workmanship is A+. My wife says it all for women: This is the only place where she felt valued/value and safe when dealing with her automobiles. The owner values his employees as much as his customers, and you can tell in the finished product. This place even did a dealer/auto check on a used car I was interested in, ripped it to shreds, told me not to buy, and had the audacity not to charge me to do it! The unheard of nerve... If you could go to just one place, then feel blessed you stumbled upon buddhas. Just dont tell too many people how good they are, we still need them for our cars!

Will, Paul, and all the employees are sooooo awesome!!! They take care of your problem ASAP, especially if your vehicle isn’t safe. Plus, the prices are reasonable and honest. They’re good people, and don’t try to charge you for extraneous stuff or things without your consent. My trunk got jammed and wouldn’t close, and Will got a screwdriver and hammer and fixed it on the spot. I’ve used them for other mechanical stuff and they fixed it perfectly. I highly recommend them. I’ve been going to a different car shop for years, but the service and expediency here is way better. Worth the drive up north!!

I called Buddhas (recommended by a friend) with a confusing brake issue and was asked a series of questions of my Tundras symptoms and they correctly diagnosed that it was my axle and not my brakes at all.I was given a fair quote without any pressure and they were communicative the entire time and did the repair in a timely manner, which really removed the stress of trusting the folks that were working on the vehicle that i use for my work.They EASILY couldve upcharged me for a specialty part that was specific to my truck but they were honest about my options and they saved me a few hundred dollars, which got me back on the road sooner. Thats the type of service that Ill brag about to complete strangers!

I had a 10 year old PT Cruiser that was just causing me nightmares and costing more than its value every year in repair bills. Then I discovered Buddhas Garage and they did respectful repairs for a car of its age. They fixed it.. fast.. and at a reasonable price every time.. and they were damn decent human beings at the same time. My only disappointment is that I got a new(er) car and have not had to use them recently.So why the review now? I just read a post that said the three most important things in life were drinking lots of water, a nice pet and a good car mechanic and I thought... AMAZING shop! These guys will get you in and out, and the job is done right the first time. Not only that, but their rates are more than fair. If theyve quoted you a price, you wont find a better price. Buddhas Garage has an incredibly knowledgeable staff that goes out of their way to educate you on the problems with your vehicle. I was having issues with a rough idle and coolant problems with my truck and they helped find the best course of action for me towards getting it up and running. Im super impressed with the friendliness of the staff and will 100% be coming back here when I need another repair.

They were able to squeeze my car in the same day and did the work at a reasonable price. It must be hard to be an honest garage with the bad reputation that the industry gets from dishonest dealers and mechanics. Ill definitely be coming back for more preventative maintenance.

3 weeks ago I brought my Subaru in to be repaired after reading the “great, fantastic, awesome work” reviews of this place and now 3 weeks later I’m still without a vehicle and my family is down $7000 all because these guys have no clue what they are doing. DONT USE THIS SHOP PERIOD.

I have went to Buddhas for any service needed for my vehicle and also for regular maintenance. Great and honest service and extremely fair pricing. I recommended them to anyone needing car service and every person that has went there agrees that they are the best in town.

I was staying overnight in Austin on my way to Houston and did some damage to my car. Dave just happened to be at the shop on a Saturday (the garage was not technically open) and he helped me out by bolting my car together until I could get to Houston for important doctor appointments and when I got to Houston I was able to get it fixed by my insurance adjuster. Dave was so gracious and dropped everything to take an hour to help me out. He specializes in Subaru and I dont even drive a Subaru. Hes just that awesome.

Dave at Buddhas has been repairing our fleet of vehicles for about 3 years now. You wont find a more honest shop around. They are good people and do quality work at reasonable prices. I do not generally write reviews, but Buddhas is a quality program and deserves to have good things said about them. Give them a chance to get you out of a jam. Theyll come through.

These guys are great. Got my vehicle in with a day or two notice. Prices are reasonable and I checked their work after and everything was definitely worked on/replaced that they said they did. Ill be back for any vehicle work I cant DIY. Prices are quite reasonable and they use good parts. Employees are pleasant to work with both on phone and in person.

I moved here two years ago and am extremely anal about who works on my vehicles. Glad one of my friends recommended Buddha. He installed a limited slip in my truck and did not try to up sell me or demand I buy the parts from him to install. Two years later I have no issues with my trucks rear end. This shop is extremely honest and the least expensive shop I called in town. Will never take my vehicle anywhere else in Austin.

I always wait awhile for a review on an auto repair shop. It only takes one gotcha to really sour your experience. However, in the 2 years since Ive switched to Buddhas Garage, I have had nothing but positive experiences.They are very fair and help explain alternatives and potential outcomes. There is never any hard sell because they usually have more business than they need. Always a good sign. :)Note: I switched from Tech One due to the increasing repair prices. They did great work and treated me well, but their Burnet rent must be hurting their bottom line. The repair costs suddenly jumped appreciably.

Came in for a belt change. I have been telling other mechanics that i have a leak somewhere but they said there is none. or they cant find its source. just minutes in the belt change, buddhas garage went u know youre leaking from this part right? they found the leak and they were not even looking for it!

I ended up at Buddha’s garage after a full four wheel brake replacement went terribly wrong at NTB- Research Dr location. Dave took on the task of finding and fixing the problem that NTB did not after three visits and 17 hours total time with the vehicle. He showed me on the car, exactly what the problem was, gave us a fair price to fix it and most of all was kind, patient and honest throughout the entire process. Do yourself a favor and stay away from NTB and the big names shops, when it comes down to it they don’t care about one customer’s horrible experience, but Dave does. He will assess your brakes for free and give you all of the information and a written price to do the work. He truly cares about his reputation in the community and while no one can make every customer 100% happy, he definitely tries to. He has nearly 5 star reviews everywhere because it matters to him and he earns it. He has earned all of our business for life, three cars and everyone I can tell about him and Buddha’s Garage.

Very long story short, I ended up needing the fuel pump replaced in my Sunfire, and another shop was going to charge me 1,000$ (if we took the option to buy our own part - which we did for quality assurance sake). Never having dealt with this sort of issue before, I had no concept of what a normal price range was for this kind of repair, and took the other shop at their word for a ballpark estimate of what to save up for. Trying to even tow my car to and back from the other shop was such a mentally stressful/demanding ordeal, that I didnt even consider other options for a while. After we bought our own part, it finally occurred to me to ask around for some other quotes many months later - I called these guys and they were able to do it for less than 200$ - I almost couldnt believe it!! They were very polite and courteous, and made an extremely stressful thing so, so easy - thank you Buddhas garage!! Youre awesome!!

This garage is outstanding! The garage is not super shiny and big; it is real with down-to-earth people working there. We had a Saturn that had a host of problems, not the least of which was the air conditioner. They took care of us every time quickly, and cost-effectively. We were never tricked into getting unnecessary work done, or over-charged. We felt bad when it was time to get a new car because we wouldnt be able to give them business for (hopefully) several years. Thanks guys.

If you dont know where to go, this is one of the places I would recommend. They couldnt fix my brothers issue after $300 worth of work, but it was kind of a weird problem so its not like theyre a bunch of crooks. Mechanics cant know how to fix every cars problem, but I do wish they wouldve known whether their work would fix the issue or not.

My car had been having trouble when idling. When I first brought it in the gentleman at the desk had listed a few different problems it could be and I deffinetly got nervous when he mention the transmission. When I got a call hardly an hour later stating that a part just needing cleaning, and that my car would be finished in 30 minutes I was very plesantly suprised. Quick, honest work is hard to find.
