I can’t believe how bad my nails look not even a week after getting a dip manicure. Every single nail is chipped already! Will never come here again. It was also the most i’ve ever paid for dip manicure!

Diana is a amazing perfectionists! She took her time to make sure everything was perfect for me. She gave me the best ombré I’ve ever had and she shaped my nails to perfection and she is super sweet

As my first experience at the American Nails at Ironton st, service was beyond my expectations.The lady who did my nails, recommended me to have the dipping. Since I wanted my nails to not get damage and to look nature.OMG! She did a very awesome job!I love my nails.Diana. You made my day and I’m so happy of what you did on my nails!!

Every time I go here, there’s always a 3 hour wait. All I needed was my nails repaired today and it was an 1 and half wait even when I came in when they opened. It’s ridiculous!!! 💯

Absolutely love this place! Vivian is the BEST! She always does excellent work and is super nice besides. Everyone else is very professional and helpful. Some places you go and they just try to get you in and out. Not here, they take pride in their work and make sure you’re satisfied. I would definitely recommend!!

I go to Rosemary and I follow her whenever she goes. I have come to her for years. She is awesome and really takes her time and does things right. I rarely ever have a broken nail and she is the best at pedicures too. Recommend very highly!

ROSEMARY WAS AMAZING! She has done nails for over 34 years and is very knowledgeable with her work! I definitely recommend her if you want some nice clean acrylic laid out. She will forever be my go to nail tech!

Everyone there does a great job. The staff is amazing. They’re are friendly and always smiling. They take their time With your nails to make sure you get what u want. I recently moved here last October and have tried a few other places but in my opinion they weren’t as good as this place.

This place is absolutely awful! I will never go here again! I everything I asked the lady to do she did the opposite. I asked her for my nails to be shorted and she told me “no they won’t look good shirt” I asked for a certain color and she completely goes and gets a different color and insists I get it! I was beyond frustrated and hoped the other lady that was going to be doing my eyelashes would be better but far from it! She charged me $130 for eyelashes that took her less than thirty minutes to apply they have came started falling out the next day along with my real eyelashes! I have no eyelashes anymore!! I’m so beyond disappointed and embarrassed! I’m that was my first and last time! I now have to glue fake eyelashes since mine are gone!

Really disappointed with Lily. She was very pushy and bossy. She insisted the we upgrade our pedicures at least 4 times before giving up, making everyone extremely uncomfortable. When we didnt want upgrade our pedicure package, she rushed through my moms pedicure, was very rough and was incredibly short and rude to us both.Cathy however, was amazing. She did my pedicure and did a phenomenal job. She took her time, gave me a long massage and was very kind and professional. If you are going to coming here, I would request her.

Horrible experience! Horrible job! I needed a simple fill and gel polish change. Received a botched job in 20 mins and then was hovered over when paying to ensure I left I tip. I asked the woman (the woman that works at the station directly in front of the entrance) multiple times to correct the issues with her work and was ignored. Will not be back.

They have a hard time speaking English which makes it impossible for them to understand you or answer your questions correctly. Their way of trying to upsell me began with them giving me two options for gel powder. Either The regular one or the good one. I asked what good meant and they didnt even know how to explain the difference. Its crazy how we are at the mercy of people who cant even speak our language good enough to describe something to us. You get a complete attitude from people who care nothing about whether you like your nails or not. They blatantly lied to someone who walked in the door. The person asked how long is the wait and they said no wait. Yet I had been waiting over an hour. Please dont go to this ghetto trifling establishment.

I came in with my friend on Saturday. We both thought this place looked amazing from the outside and that our experience here together before our trip to California would be amazing. NO! Not even close. From the very beginning, the lady I had was on her phone from start to finish. It was so bad that she almost burned me with the water for my pedicure because her phone call was more important than tending to a paying customer. Not only did she lack the ability to pay attention to the temperature for the water (which you could see the steam), she then had it almost over flow. I mentioned it was about to over flow multiple times and not one person paid attention to me until, the lady doing my friends pedicure finally looked over and stopped it. Now lets fast forward to me getting my nails actually done. My shapes were so off, she cut me, and I constantly had to tell her what was wrong. Both my friend and I could feel the tension between the employees like they didnt like each other and were talking about one another, or heck possible the paying customers. Either way NOT professional at all. I needed to wash my hands and dry them and they had only 1 towel for all us to use. One of my nails is already starting to chip and it has only been 3 days. My shape i had to correct her a few times, she also painted the nails so far from my cuticle that they already look grown out. If I had of seen the reviews before I would NOT have picked this shop at all. For what i had done that day, and whats already happening to my nails, it was very over priced. It was almost $90 just for a pedicure and manicure with Shellac. I have never paid that much. My experience was terrible. Put a bad taste in my mouth.

The lady was very pushy. All I wanted was to take off my nails and she kept pushing me to have more special requests or services done. While taking off my nails she made my thumb bleed and continued to keep taking the rest of my nail off even tho I was already in pain and told her no. My regular nail salon charges me 5 dollars to take off my nails and never makes me bleed. I only came to this particular salon because I was in the area for the day and they charged me 10 to remove my nails plus managed to push me to get a top coat which is already peeling off for another 5 dollars. NEVER AGAIN WILL I BE A CUSTOMER THERE!!

$55 for just a basic/ regular pedicure!! I didnt ask until we had already started, my mistake. Will never come back here!

I went American Nails to get extended lashes the lashes were supposed to last two weeks minimum. The lashes start coming off on the fourth day. I went back to see if they could fix the problem. She says will do again for discount. No way when you do a service thats not done right you fix it! I have lashes done many times and know how to care for lashes. They dont care about the customers. So much for customers always right! I would not recommend American Nails they mess up and wont fix the problem poor customer service!

I went here today Kelly did my nails n she did good. It was just way over priced for an overlay! She said $50 I already thought, thats alot. Then I asked for little diamonds on my ring fingers and it became $58. I told her take $10 for yourself for tip, so $68. Then all of a sudden she seemed like she was counting in her head then it ended up being $78! Idk how. They dont even have a price list on display, thats how nail shops scam you. Seems like theyre all turning into this! What happened to $20 nails??

Worst experience at a nail salon. Attempted to get my nails done when they first openened. The manicurist did not seem to have any formal training, I literally had to take the file and polish away from her to complete the job myself. Yes, I painted my own nails. Still paid full price, but never went back.

Been to several places. And I mean several and I wont change then. Very pleasant and you actually get what you ask for.

DONT GO HERE! I called the place Saturday morning asked for a simple acrylic nails they said it would be $ 25. Me and my friend arrive then they charged us both $ 40 for simple acrylic nails. Then my nail keeps chipping off. Total rip off.

My mom and I went to get our nails done. The lady who did mine did them so quick she didn’t even cut my natural nail before putting the acrylic on. The next day they were already peeling up and all 10 fell off within one week. My moms were a little bit better but 2 weeks and 2 nails had already popped off. I wouldn’t reccomend this place to anyone $90 to last one week 🙄

Cindy has been my go-to person here for a year and she is wonderful. She doesnt rush through my appointment and does awesome peticures and nails. As for the owner and other nail technicians, they are rude and do not say hello. They will come up to Cindy as she is doing my nails look at me and say something in Vietnamese, look at me and still not speak. I saw one of the nail technicians dig in her nose with her finger and wipe it on a massage chair. It it werent for Cindy I would never visit this establishment.

WORST PLACE IVE EVER GOT MY NAILS DONE. This lady cut my nails so bogus! Then she painted them horribly, there was paint all over my skin. She was trying to sell me a more expensive pedicure. I came right back in and the owner could care less. They sat me right back down with the same lady and she did the same HORRIBLE job. Never EVER again will I come back here. I left in tears. DO NOT COME HERE. The owner only responds to positive reviews.

I always come here and after today I will never go back, she was in a rush and was hurting me and being very rough, I told her several times I didnt like the shape or length but she still continued, I had to call my mom to talk to her in order to get everything sorted out and they wanted to restart which was cool but they raised the price on me so I told them to take off the nails and I left. This is one of the WORST experiences Ive ever had.

I had my lashes down by a lady who was very helpful. I brought my own lashes so I paid a little less.

Cindy is AMAZING. I only get my nails done with Cindy and she never fails me. Clean place and comfortable atmosphere. Would definitely recommend getting services by Cindy.

Was there about a year ago, never went back after seeing a cockroach crawling next to my chair. Made me wonder how clean their instruments were.

She made my nails really thick and also one hand is longer than the other. She didnt proceed to ask me if i liked them or if they were okay . I really wouldnt recommend this place.

I just had my nails “acrylic French tip” paid $40 dollars! And they are already separating from the sides! It hasn’t even been a day! Frustrating! Do not recommend!

The lady who did my feet did a great job but ended up charging me 45$ the lady who did my nails charged me 45 as well. Less then a week later my nails look terrible dont think I will be going back there way longer the. I wanted and look extremely crusty

This is by far the worst place Ive ever come across. We were blown away by the smell as soon as we entered, that should have been our clue to exit. there were three (3) of us getting manicures and pedicures. My friends mother was elderly and they were so rough on her that she actually stated something twice (she only got nails buffed and painted). my friends nail stylist was the worst person Ive ever encountered in all my more than 30 years of customer service. she smelled terrible and had the worst attitude. after we complained that her nails were not being done correctly, she filed them shorter. The art on her toes, a total nightmare. when we proceeded to pay she insisted that we pay for the nail job that was beyond repair, we insisted on speaking to the manager and the whole time Hannah was rude and condecending in front of everyone in the shop. she even went so far as to say if we was not going to pay for the terrible nail job that she performed she was going to take them off of my friends hand and try to make them worse than they already were.*****do not go to this nail place ever!!!****

This place has very poor customer service. They are very aggressive with trying to get you to add services, if you dont, they become rude, start talking badly about you and complete your services poorly. Such a disappoint.

Save yourself the disrespect and rip off from this nails shop, I was there last night to do an acrylic rebase. When I entered the lady asked me to pick a nail polish and I got 4 shades of nude wanting to try it on a fake piece of nail and then match it with my skin to make the best choice. After the rebase, a process where she kept stinging me with the electric nail file, shell speak in a different language to her colleagues anytime I jerk because it hurts. She asked me which polish I wanted and I politely asked that she tried it on a fake nail for me to see how it will look on my fingers. This lady blatantly told me she cant do it, aside being rude and mean, she was loudly speaking over me in her language. I asked her how difficult it was to be nice to her client and even suggest a color she thought could be a fit and she basically told me to keep quiet so she could do her job. At this point, I knew my nails will be a disaster, she got so angry and was painting my cuticles so I told her if she wasnt in a good mood I could let someone else continue, but she held on to my hand and kept doing her dirty job as well as murmuring. I couldnt take it anymore so I asked another lady whose worked with me before to continue painting my nails. She had to wipe and start all over and kept apologizing for what her colleague had done. The nasty lady whose name is said to be Lily screamed all over the place, threw the money I paid at her co worker, picked her purse and left. I was told to call their manager the next day to report. I havent done that yet but I had to spare others the ordeal of getting any services from American Nails on Mississippi and Ironton.

I went to get a pedicure the color and everything turned out great. Unfortunately she cut me twice which is rather painful the day after I really hope it does not get infected it does hurt pretty bad. I will not be returning

Gel nails & polish were super thick. I asked for matte but somehow my nails still came out with a moderate shine.They WILL try to up sell you, so be prepared to say no to the same question 5x. They charged me $50. The result was not worth the price. This was my second time going there, and both times the result was less than mediocre. Not going back third time.

Worst acrylic rebase I’ve ever had it was super thick and I had acrylic all over my cuticles luckily I’m a nail tech so I was able to fix them but it irritates me I paid for ombré and I had to cover them with gel polish. He knew he got it all over my skin and didn’t bother to fix them. Can’t wait for a rebase already and I just got these done yesterday.

Ms Cindy is a very good nail tech she does great work, the only reason they are not a five is because it is not the cleanest place.

I go there all the time but I only let Terrie do my nails and my feet.Shes one of the best besides this other lady that works there.

They charge $8 to paint my toes. However she kept insisting that I do my nails after the 4th time I asked her to please stop asking. She got an attitude and begin to talk and her native tongue very loud. As I inspected my nails I noticed that there was a lot of paint all over my toes I asked her if she could please remove it she asked me if I could leave I told her no I paid you $10 eight of which for my toes not my skin can you please remove the paint from my skin or refund my money. As she sat down like she was going do it she yanked on my leg. One of the other co-workers that Ill do it Ill do it Im sorry for her I said no I would like my $2 tip back and I will leave. The customer service here is very pushy nasty you get on their bad side even though they push you to it and they are relentless. Not to mention the leg she pulled on I had just had a total knee replacement.

I spent $150 here on shalac manicure/pedicure, and a waxing. The waxing was ok, but left lots of hairs I had to tweeze myself. The pedicure and manicure were horrible. They didn’t file my nails, and they look worse than when I went in! Paint chipped within the next day and Paint was all over my toes ( I didn’t even ask for shalac pedi, she just did it). I also got an infection on my finger from the manicure. The place is not clean. I usually love American nails bc they have the best polish. NOT THIS LOCATION.

Sis got us deluxe pedicures for our sis day and we both agreed this was the best pedicure weve ever had! They did such a great job and spent a lot of time with massaging our toes and feet and were kind and made us feel severly pampered. We intend to go back at least once every month for pedis cuz the service was just that great!

I came here for my birthday and got acrylic gel nails. ten days later one nail popped off then the next day another nail popped off and on the third day two other nails are loseI called and went in. They just looked at me when I got there. They looked my nails and said that I needed a fillThey dont have good customer service a skills

Wasnt a great place .. Employees are not up to date with new trend ms and cant do them. Theres only one young girl working there that kinda knows a little bit more but everyone else is outdated. AND it was as expensive as the other saloons that actually do a good job .

This is my first time writing a review but this place is so horrible I want to spare someone else from making the same mistake! Went to get a mani/pedi with my mom. Their nail polishes are old and chunky so we decided to get shellac. As were getting our toes done, the nail technician cut my toe nail so short she cut the meat under my toe. I asked her to be careful and she continued to be rough and cut me two more times. While this is going on, another woman was doing my hands. I had to awkwardly position the uv light machine on my lap and she kept getting an attitude with me because I was jerking because the woman doing my pedicure kept cutting my skin. One time the uv light almost fell into the basin of water that my feet were in, which could have electrocuted me! $150 later, my legs are sore from cuts and holding them in an awkward position for over an hour and my mom and my nails look like they were done by a child. Spare yourself the disappointment and waste of money and go to another place...

1st time: I called to see what time they closed and she basically said come on in and theyd take care of me. I show up (with my 11yr old daughter), hours on door make it so theyd already be closed. Got shellac mani/pedi for me and reg mani/pedi for my daughter for $92. I didnt feel rushed at all, they ended up staying open an extra hour and a half for us. That is why the 5 star rating. I will definitely go back again. Their customer service was excellent and my nails look as good as the place we normally go & their location is pretty convenient.

1st visit, girl wanted me to get fake nails, no thank you, mine are fine. 2nd visit, girl wanted me to get fake nails, no thank you, mine are fine. 3rd visit, girl wanted me to have mushache removed (I dont have one) and brought fake nail samples again, I guess she wanted me to get fake wether or not I wanted them. Again, no thank you, mine are nice!! 4th visit, girl put me at table with dirty towel and dirty implements, even the phone was gunky. When I pointed to the ooze she folded the towel in half and put my hands back down on it. Then her real appointment came in (Im guessing the one with fake nails) and she told me I had to wait 40 minutes for someone else to do my manicure. I left and will never go back.
