I have been very happy with all of my dealings with them. They have been so very helpful and professional. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good German vehicle mechanic!
Best and most honest mechanics in the area. I was recommend here by friends who are German Car Enthusiasts and they swear by the quality, honesty and integrity of the shop. They were super quick, professional and I’ve always had great experiences here when having work done on my cars.Thank you!
Am giving Ryan G Motorworks 5 stars only because Google won’t allow me to give them 10!Ryan & his team are top notch and provide a level of service that is becoming a rarity in today’s world. If you’re looking to get any work done on German import, look no further. Ryan GMW will not disappoint!
If you want awesome service, helpful and knowledgeable staff then this is the place to take your european car. They are honest and will never try to sell you something you dont need.
Ryan G. Motorworks is a serious shop, they know what theyre doing and theyre honest. I hit my limit getting the clutch on my Mini done. Ryans team had it in and ready in a day, they even took care of some extras while they had her. You wont regret bringing your car in. This shop is worth every penny.
This guy knows BMW! Go to him. He will tell you straight up what the problem is, for good or for bad.
If you have a German vehicle, THIS is the shop for you. Ryan and his team are top notch mechanics and very professional. They constantly go above and beyond to ensure their customers are satisfied. 5 stars - highly recommend 👌
Always excellent service,honest service.
Great team, fast service and reasonable rates.
I’ve been bringing my 986 Porsche Boxster s to this place for about 5-6 months now and this is the only place I prefer in the auburn area, very fair pricing and the work is high quality work, they take the time to explain what you need and if you don’t need something they won’t lie about it to make more money. This is the kind of business you should support and trust as I’ve learned too since my first visit with these guys! A+++ will always recommend if you drive European cars, this is the place to go!
Good people! No bull! The job done correctly the first time!
Ryan and Mark do what they can to keep European cars on the road. They cost less then a dealer and seem to be more trust worthy as well. They are there to fix your car not to sell you another.
Best customer service in Auburn. Very knowledgeable mechanics and the Service Manager was very professional and friendly.
Clean, knowledgeable, and professional.
UPDATE: I brought my car here to replace the transmission and they were very quick and efficient. I couldn’t be out of a car due to work and I was supplied with a courtesy car for the day it took them to replace the transmission. You get what you pay for and here you’re paying for excellent work to be done on your car. 10/10 Will recommend this shop to any of my local BMW/Euro buddies if they want work done correctly the first time!I went in to look at a car that they were offering for sale and met with Ryan himself. He was very professional and extremely upfront. He really knows his stuff. I didn’t buy the vehicle, but I definitely am glad I came by this place because I hope to bring my BMW here for service. All around seems like a great shop/dealer!
Excellent Service and Repairs. They use OEM Parts and Factory Diagnostic Equipment.
If you own a BMW, Mini Cooper, Porsche or Mercedes then this place is where you should have it serviced. They have been taking care of my Mini and Porsche for years and are reliable, honest and great service. I speak from experience of operating three auto repair shops with twelve mechanics in the SF area for 30 years until I retired up here. They also sell vehicles on consignment for you and I was extremely pleased in how quickly my 2006 Carrera 911 sold with no hassle. So stop by, talk to Ryan and Im sure you will be impressed by his professionalism and the look of his facility.
Best shop in the area to have work done on your BMW. Honest and trustworthy and they provide detailed reasons for the repairs needed. In addition they do not pressure you as its your vehicle. Wish all automotive shops had this approach
Fantastic shop, great people! I stopped in without an appointment to ask if they could find the source of the airbag/SRS malfunction light that had come on in my MINI Cooper. Not only did Ryan stop what he was doing and take the time to troubleshoot the cause (eliminating various possibilities, it turned out to be a blown fuse), but he didn’t charge me anything! Now that I know about this shop, I will be coming here for all my MINI repair needs.
Awesome team. 2 times when I brought my mini in, they diagnosed it and luckily both times it was covered by my warranty. They didn’t charge me for diagnosing and now they fixed my car in one day with a different issue. Love them and will always go to them for my mini.
Brought my Porsche in for a couple minor fixes, they were very professional, got the job done quickly and extremely communicative and helpful with each problem I came with. Will be my new regular shop, thanks guys!
We were visiting from SF, and the Z4 gave us trouble. Ryan and Mark tried something on Friday, but alas it required a do-over on Monday, which did the trick. I applaud their effort. One thing is when youre a steady customer. The other is when youre just passing by. They were fair, professional and friendly with us. At my next drive thru town, Ill definitely stop to say hi. It never hurts to have too many good, friendly mechanics in your speed dial. Id give them 6 stars if I could.
The guys are pleasant, quick and efficient at every service I have had. Mark is incredibly nice, my kids even love coming when my SUV is being serviced so that they can chat with him and check out the cool fish tank.
Are you kidding me! This shop allows you to book appointments online. That alone is next level.Ryan is truly a master tec. Ive been chasing a vacuum leak for months on an m54. Ryan was able to pin the peaky leak down to a faulty sensor, he listened to what I was experiencing, and explained what the problem was, and did it in a genuinely kind way. Great experience.
With 5 cars in our family, it seems like at least one of them is always needing something fixed. Ryan G does a great job of taking care of us. Nice shop, great techs, and excellent customer service every time. Highly recommend these guys!
Always knowledgeable and professional, and very pleasant to deal with. I have never had an experience here that was disappointing in any way. I HIGHLY recommend this shop and these people!
The only place I will take my BMW! They always do an amazing job and have exceptional customer service! Thank you guys for keeping my beemer on the road 😁
Great guy. Has great knowledge on BMWs, if you own one this is where you want to take it.
Great attention to detail, great service. I had been to 3 other auto repair places for my Mercedes and this one is leaps and bounds better than the others. Ive never seen a place with more 5 star reviews, youll know why when you get Ryan to help you with your car.
Ryan is easy to work with in setting up an appointment and is very knowledgeable about the cars and maintenance of them. He freely answers any questions you have about what parts he uses and tells you why he uses them. It is because they provide better value and longer service. The shop is very clean and in watching him work on cars you can see he cares about what he is doing. If any fluids are involved he cleans up any spilled onto the car. He noticed that I used a zip tie to replace one of the plastic rivets BMW used and offered to replace it for free. This shop is out of my way but because of the value and level of service he provides I will be using him again for my service needs.
Ever friendly, patient, professional service. Tell Ryan and Mark, Rex sent you! Top notch!
Top shelf service very happy with the way I was treated
Great customer service and the best technicians for BMWs. Very honest and reliable. I will not take my bmw anywhere else.
Enthusiastic guys with a love for Cars
Great guys helpful and sweet... I will be back
Ryan and his team are great to work with! Definetly recommended if youre looking for mechanics that wont take advantage of you!
Ive had nothing but great experiences with this shop, it really is the absolute best place to go for your Bmw. Ryan and his team work with a precision and skill that is extremely hard to find. Adding to all that, their honesty and attitude with customers is exceptional.
Ryan Gangemi is not only an BMW expert he and his staff are also honest, integrity! I felt lucky to find such a trustworthy and also very knowledgeable shop. I will never take my BMW anywhere but Ryan GMW!
Ryan and his staff are awesome and very knowledgeable guys. They know what they are doing and they do it in a honest way, no wishy washy dealing. The only shop now that I will take my M3 to, period.
These guys are honest, straight-forward, friendly, and their prices are unbeatable for BMW work. Whats great about their customer service is that theyre with you for the long haul, not just a quick fix. The owner got tired of watching other mechanics rip people off with enormous labor charges for mediocre work. Plus, Ryan and his team are BMW enthusiasts who knows their stuff, especially when it comes to the finicky maintenance issues that cars like MINI Coopers tend to have.
Been taking my Audi to Ryans shop for a few months now so have had a chance to interface with his staff and him on a number of issues with me car. they just did 100K maintenance on my car a couple weeks ago and a week later i had a pretty major problem come up. I think you can tell the mettle of a business and owner when trouble occurs..and Ryan and his crew definitely stepped up to resolve the problem of the oil leakage..I never even had to say to him your guy did something wrong during the oil change. as soon as i brought my car in, ryan drive it into the shop and the crew person that did the oil change immediately went to check things out and told me he was definitely the person that caused the problem.. he was very apologetic, fixed the leak, clean up all the oil that had sprayed the entire underside of my car, offered to come to my house and clean up the oil spill in my garage..i mean that is really wonderful because people make mistakes ...its all about how they handle it and i believe Ryan and his crew did an outstanding job in fixing the problem..Thank you!
Ryans been fixing my BMW for over 8 years and he has alway done a Great job.Ryan has always given me Good advice,Good work at a fair price. I recommending anyone to visit Ryan and give Ryan a chance to help you.
Moving to a new city has its challenges. With a failing transmission in my classic 1986 BMW 635csi, finding a new repair shop was a top priority. After a Google search and a review of the listings found, I took my car to Ryan G. MotorWorks, because of numerous 5 star reviews...And let me tell you, those reviews were spot on!..From the moment I met Ryan G., I knew I had found the right shop. Ryan is very personable, extremely knowledgeable and obviously dedicated to providing the highest quality of service available at an affordable price. The shop is large, organized and clean with a comfortable waiting room as well. Scheduling was quick and easy and he even provided a courtesy car...(I live in Grass Valley)So, bottom line, if you have a problem with a German Manufactured car, call Ryan G. and give him the opportunity to service your vehicle. You will be more than satisfied...I sure was...
I am really impressed with Ryan GMW! I had my 2009 BMW 335I convertible towed to the dealer after it overheated. I called Ryan after receiving an expensive quote from the dealer. Ryan took care of the repairs and routine maintenance items for less than half of what the dealer wanted. He even repaired an annoying rattle in my muffler and saved me the major expense of replacing it. Ryan is an honest guy who runs a nice, clean shop. I highly recommend taking your BMW to him for repairs.
I read online the glowing testimonials for Ryan G and decided to bring my 2012 Mini (S) there for its 36k checkup. Nothing was wrong with the operation of the car but to keep things on the up and up warranty wise, I wanted to adhere to the recommended maintenance timetable. The folks there - both dude at the front counter and mechanic I interfaced with were very nice, polite and professional. The joint was spotless - you could eat a picnic lunch in the middle of the garage with no hesitation. The routine maintenance included some fluid changes, new spark plugs and coils, a couple few recommended filters. All seemed good except for the price seemed a little high, but not too bothersome for an almost 5 star repair shop.Fast forward to now (~9mos/2500 miles later). Recently the car started to misfire - occasionally at first but progressively worse until it felt like a perpetual problem with no it worked fine today breaks in the action. The thing was all the sudden totally gutless and sounded like a VW Beetle. Previously it was a very peppy and solid sounding/solid running vehicle with git-up and go to spare.I called and found out that there were 2 (Carmax) warranty approved repair shops in Auburn, Ryan G Moterwerks NOT being one of them so I took it elsewhere. By warranty approved I mean Carmax regards the two Auburn shops to be same as bringing into Carmax for repairs and thus, shaving $50 off the normally $500 deductible. That mechanic called me within the hour to ask several questions.....specifically, did I change the sparkplugs and coils? I responded not me, but the folks at a competitor did. They went on to tell me that whoever changed them torqued the spark plugs and the coils more than double the specs and insodoing, created the problems I have been experiencing. There was considerable technical jargon supplied to substantiate their assessment which I admit to not fully understanding and certainly not able to repeat here without botching the message. This was validated in my mind by them replacing the very spark plugs and coils that were replaced by Ryan G and the car running better than ever.So....in the final analysis, I will not take my vehicle back to Ryan Gs despite initially really enjoying their service. Something like overtorquing spark plugs should never happen and causes me to wonder what else could be done incorrectly had I had other more in depth repairs required. Sorry guys, you only get one of these bloopers with me no matter how clean the work environment presents and how pleasant the folks are. Ultimately I take the car in for mechanical restoration, not the other stuff.Of course you may feel differently, that 9 months later any number of things could have been at play that were out of RGMs control. Truthfully, perhaps. But Im not going to take a chance, repairs simply cost too much. What I do know is that the parts changed by RGM were indeed overtorqued - severely. What I do know is that no one touched those parts until the second place did. What I do know is that replacing these recently replaced parts totally fixed the issue. Cause/effect.
Good people. They dont make you wait longer than absolutely necessary. Get the job done.
Trustworthy independent BMW service. Competent and friendly
Great BMW mechanics. Honest and reasonable rates.
Dont hesitate, this is THE shop. During a cross country move, my VW TDI had sudden loss of power going up the pass, called 4 shops, went with my gut and limped into to Ryans GMW. Fully professional diagnosis, part ordered and I was on my way within a few hours despite Ryan being fully booked. Great guy with a great crew and shop- Id have him do all my service if I were more local.
Ryan G. and his staff are the real deal. I have had a myriad of nightmarish issues with my in-warranty 535i xDrive, and only Ryans team can figure them out. The dealership is useless. After multiple attempts to repair an issue that I probably caused myself, they even comped me the removal of said object.Ryan treats his employees with respect even when theyre tossing the usual dudish insults back and forth. He has some crusty old employees who can tell you what size jet to use in a 1968 del orto carburetor at 4,000 ft. The new office is spotless, the Wi-Fi is free, the coffee good, and he even keeps an enthusiastic kid employed polishing the work bay floors and windows.Hes not afraid to help you help your BMW find its true potential, but hes very realistic about the risks involved. YOU are included in the tuning process. If you live within 60 miles of Auburn, you have no excuse to go anywhere other than Ryan GMW. Seriously.
Just had my 89 BMW serviced here. Great work and even better service.
These guys Are the best!
