I wished I had checked out reviews before I used this company. I had always heard that they had a good reputation, so I used them, and paid more than I should have, to install a 3 part mini-split system in my home, for about $12,000. The system was sold to me as that the units function great independently. However, when the main area of my home did not cool down, I was then told that these systems really need to work together to function well. So what I was sold does not fit my needs that I had explicitly explained. Ive tried extensively to seek resolution with the company. Each time I called, after not receiving a call back for a full week, I would have to call again. This happened four times. Now the owner is not standing by their claim of satisfaction, and saying that theyve done everything they can do. I would never have bought this system, and paid $12k. This exact system sells online for $4,500.Response to Owner:Your techs have come out twice, after me calling for two weeks each time, to confirm that the system is working correctly, which they both said that it is. So it boils down to I was sold a system that doesnt cool my home as we had agreed upon. I proposed a $3,000 credit, because I recognize that you did install a system, so there are product and labor costs, and there is value in that. But extortion is charging me $12,000 for a system that doesnt cool my home as we agreed upon.

As always Maki didnt disappoint. John was at my home first thing this morning with a very happy upbeat I can attitude. He was friendly, easy to talk to and understand. After having a company come out on Monday that told me I needed to replace my entire AC with a sticker price of $5,500.00 I knew that I had to have Maki come take a look. Much to my surprise John was able to find the issue and have my air up and running strong for less then 300 dollars versus the other company that said I needed to spend $5500.00 on a new unit. I dont like to have anyone else come service my Ac and this is just another testament as to why I will continue to use them exclusively. Thank you so much John and Maki heating and air. He gave me a time frame it would take to accomplish the service. Once completed he gave me the status of my units. Fred represented your business in the best way.

Prices are transparent, but unlike other companies, no pressure. As a Veteran, they offer a discount on their Annual maintenance fee. Not sure about Senior discounts, or other Veteran discounts. I would use this company again. They are friendly, outgoing and competent with their work.

First of all, when we called Maki, they were so kind as to schedule a service person to come out to our home the very next day. Nathan came out to repair our AC unit. It was a simple fix; and because of him asking specific questions before he looked at our unit, he was able to immediately discover the issue and resolve it in a very timely manner Nathan put on booties as to ensure no dirt get tracked into our home as well as wore a face mask for our safety. He is a very kind and thorough employee. Nathan was so thorough, that he even asked if we were veterans or in the active service as there is a discount for serving in our military. It was already a very affordable price and with the veterans discount, made it a pleasant surprise. I would highly recommend Maki as well as their exceptional employee Nathan.

Office and field staff are always pleasant and respectful. We have bi-annual scheduled maintenance and appreciate how they call ahead to set up appointments. Our most recent technician, Fred, was courteous and went right to work wearing appropriate shoe covers, as all of our other technicians have done in the past. This ia a very customer oriented business and are highly recommended.

The service was great and they were very quick on getting out to us. We lost our a/c Friday night. Saturday morning we call thinking to set something for Monday. They said no. We have someone in your area. Hell be by between 12-3. They made it within the time they gave me and had one a/c up in less then 15min. Will always use their service or recommend them to friends and family.

John is my technician, he is very knowledgeable in regards to my system! I have older units and he knows them well, does not try and up sale me all the time, that is the kind of person I want working on my system. Very honest, I also had all the ducking replaced downstairs and they did a great job, cleaned up after their work. All good

I have used MAKI for several years in a previous home. This time they were doing an annual check of my A/C system. The system is old and will need to be replaced before too long, however, it is still cooling OK. The technician did a thorough job, completed all the portions of the maintenance form and reviewed all element with me. He was polite and knowledgeable. I would certainly recommend them.

Thank you to the Maki team who came to our home to install a new AC/furnace/thermostat.In the interim between the time we contracted with Maki and the date they were able to install, the first week they brought and installed a window unit. And the following week when another unit became available they brought it to us, which made it bearable to stay in our home during the day.Then they were able to come a week sooner than estimated.The day the team arrived at 8:30 AM they stayed until the jib was completed. They cleaned all worksites as they worked; they checked to ensure the furnace as well as AC worked; and they left the house cooler than it ever been with the old furnace. The MAKI team arrived promptly in the morning to replace my very old AC unit and furnace. It was a BIG job. My old furnace was in a tight corner with limited access (inside a mobile home). The crew included 3 very polite and experienced young men, who worked tirelessly to complete the job. They somehow managed to complete the job in a single day which completely amazed me! From start to finish they were quiet, and didn’t leave a trace of debris from the old unit. When they were finished, they took the time to show me the new equipment and explain things to me. Our unit is older so there is certainly a possibility of a needed repair, but there was concern of upselling or looking for an opportunity to make extra money. Great HVAC company and great service! One of my neighbors recommended Maki service and I called them after the heat in my home had been off for over 24 hours. The technicians arrived in a timely manner, reviewed the problem and provided the (very expensive) part. Boom. Done in one hour. Marvelous. I also signed up for the monthly Gold service, believing that my heating and cooling system is aging out and that Ill need to have more services on both the heating and cooling equipment in the future. My repair tech was Brent and he was awesome. He fixed my thermostat ( I didnt know it took batteries) and told me the thermostat was programmable. He then programed it for me. He was very polite and friendly. I would recommend Maki to everyone.

I cannot say enough good about Maki and the services they provide. I just had my summer maintenance completed by Maki employee Nathan. Absolute pleasure having him in our home. He was positive, happy, and clearly likes his job. Nathan was very professional and friendly! Used their BOGO special to have my heater tuned and will be using them later this month to do a tune up on my AC. Nathan took video of my attic area and gave me tips on insulation and energy efficiency.

Rick arrived on time and was quickly able to find the repeating squeak in our furnace. He was able to manually adjust the internal components to remove the squeaking; however, he advised us that it might return and that the furnace was experiencing some internal metal erosion due to the propane gas used to fuel it. It will be evaluated during next years annual fall system check to determine if it needs to be replaced.The squeaking sound has intermittently returned, but is not audible except right next to the furnace unit in the garage.

Our AC went out on a Friday night. I called Maki Saturday morning. The soonest appointment they had was on the following Monday. However, they contacted another customer with a maintenance appointment this Saturday and they were able to have them switch to Monday. We were back up and running within in a matter of hours instead of days. Thank goodness because it was 100 degrees by that afternoon. The technician who came out was courteous and thorough as well.

The Maki service tech (Joe) was timely, courteous, efficient and thorough. My only complaint is that the tune up for winter should happen on a really cold day (although it was a perfectly lovely day). Joe listened to my concerns and checked the items I mentioned as he arrived. Maki continues to have quality workmanship and service since the original replacement of my HVAC system 1.5 years ago.

A/C went out at 5 PM on Sunday in the middle of a holiday weekend and 107 degree temperatures. Called Maki who walked me through a couple of possible fixes but they didn’t work. Set me up with a tech for Monday at 9. Joe came over and found the problem and fixed it immediately. Joe is professional, polite, and efficient. He wore a mask and booties when in my house.

Maki has recently changed ownership, so it was time to see how the new owners would do. All the office staff were very friendly and efficient. Appointments are confirmed. I asked for the best tech and Brent came out to see us. He is extremely knowledgeable and more importantly honest. From costs to alternatives to new California compliance, Brent can explain the options. He got us up and running in no time and came back today to replace a temporary part with a factory one at no charge. So how does the New Maki Rate? Id give them ****** Six Stars if I could. Maki comes twice a year to my home to service the AC and heater unit. I could go through my home warranty but choose not to because of the excellent service I get from Maki. Last Spring they replaced all of my duct work, and it was well worth it. The crew was professional and quick in getting the job finished. Today my favorite service tech, Joe, was here and as usual was professional, friendly and competent. I recommend Maki to everyone I know who is looking for an honest, professional AC Heating company!
