Left a message after hours, got a call back the following morning from Bruce. Talked through the problem and did an after hours drop off that evening. Bruce called the next morning with an estimate and completed the work that afternoon under the estimated cost. Nice to deal with someone who is pleasant, a straight shooter, and does what they say they’re going to do. Outstanding.

Bruce and Allen are the best and deserve way more praise than whats on here—only 22 reviews so far are you kidding me?I bought a 1992 Ford Ranger with a blown head gasket from a mountain man out in Swannanoa. After doing some research and learning just how bad blown head gaskets are for the rest of the motor, I decided to just swap out the whole thing to avoid any other problems that may arise. I looked around and found a good replacement motor that would slip right into the place of the old one, now all I needed was a mechanic...Bruce came as a recommendation from a friend. When I called Bruce up I was ready to go: heres what I want to do, heres the motor I want to buy and install, how much would it cost?, lets do it. Bruce took me on, but he wanted to make sure the original motor in my truck really did need to be replaced. Maybe it just needed a new head gasket? After all, its a 2.3L and those things are bulletproof. We eventually bought the replacement motor to make the swap (the cylinders in the old motor had rusted out due to coolant leaking down into them), but I took note of Bruces honesty. Why pay $500 on a part if you didnt need it? Thanks for looking out for me, Bruce....The motor swap story had a bunch of other ins and outs to it, but all along the way Bruce kept me in the loop and kept costs low. Now I have a brand new Ford Ranger with a motor that purrs like a kitten. Thanks so much Bruce and Allen!

Another great job by Bruce replacing the the rotors and pads on my old BMW to fix the front end shimmy. I take both my cars to him for his attention to detail and ability to accurately diagnose a problem. Im reluctant to doubt someone who can build an airplane! He has solved problems that others miss, like when he found a pinhole leak in my axle and probably saved my transmission.Bruce did a fantastic job replacing the rusted bumpers on my truck recently. I have used him several times in the past and he always does a great job, very attentive to detail, very knowledgeable. Highly recommended 👍

Amazing service and amazing people!

He claimed that I needed a water pump and thermostat. I paid $496.11. I get my car back check engine light flashing and motor shaking. Now he says the spark plugs. I go back the following day same problem. My check engine light was never on prior to Bruce working on it. Now he says the heads might be blown to give this paper to the next mechanic that I take me vehicle to. I asked him if he was going to make this right he says no and tells me to get off his property and calls the police on me. I had my vehicle towed to another mechanic and file a claim in small claims court. I shouldnt have to go thru all of this because my vehicle was not fixed properly and might be in worst shape then when I first brought it into Bruces AUTOMOTIVE. I would not recommend Bruces AUTOMOTIVE.

We highly recommend Bruce’s Automotive! My husband and I were traveling from South Carolina to Iowa with our daughter and two dogs when our water pump went out on the interstate a few miles from Hendersonville. It was mid-afternoon on a Friday, and we were pretty certain we would be stuck in North Carolina for a few days while getting the vehicle fixed. We found Bruce through a Google search, and I felt relief in the first couple of minutes of my phone call with him. He was determined to get our family back on the road that afternoon. Bruce contacted several parts distributors to locate our part. He was kind, professional, and sympathetic to our situation. He made sure we were all comfortable, even our dogs, as he replaced the water pump. Bruce is very knowledgeable, but more importantly, he truly cares about his customers. If we lived near Hendersonville, Bruce would be our go-to mechanic.
