We will not renew any policy with McKinney for any insurance coverage. I have taken each one of many policies that we trusted you with for YEARS and asked other brokers to duplicate coverage. Amazingly, EVERY single one of them came back cheaper with identical coverages.For example - our two Flood policies (1 with Wright, 1 Assurant)) just reduced over 6000.00 dollars, let me repeat Six thousand dollars - not to mention that these two policies had the buildings mixed up and other incorrect information. Thank God nothing ever happened. How many years were we overpaying? It makes me ill to think about this one example; there were many more.The McKinney Agency did not earn our business for years and evidently never annually shopped coverage for us. As our policies continued to rise with extremely little to no communication from your company, we realized enough was enough. In effect, I imagine we were not very important when we did leave, as no one reached out even to find out why.It is not very reassuring to figure out that a company that we placed so much value and trust in, which has such an impact on protecting us and our assets, let us down so terribly.

Okay so insurance...For the past month I have been SUPER depressed and stressed out because I havent been able to find anyone that would cover my studio that I spent 4 months building. I dont give five stars, but Ill make an exception. I was sitting around the dining table with friends recently, and insurance came up in the conversation, and I discover they were clients of the McKinney Agency for a long time also. Our experience with them goes back years (over 20 for me, personally). None of us had anything negative to say about them (others at the table had had bad experiences with two competitor insurance companies). What can I say? They have always -- always -- been there for me and mine. You want nothing more and nothing less from an insurance company. Most recently Doug McKinney helped me to secure a builders risk policy. The kicker? The agency doesnt do builders risk policies. Instead of saying Nah, we dont do that. and hanging up the phone, he went above and beyond to make sure I had the insurance product I need (and quickly, and reasonably priced, too). That kind of customer service is difficult to find these days.
