Reggie charged my low-income, elderly mother $80 to repair a broken dryer and all they did was clean out the vent! $80 to clean a vent??! The dryer isnt repaired, still takes over 6 hours to dry a load. They took my moms money and never fixed the dryer! I do not recommend this business to anyone and Ill go out of my way to tell them about the dishonest service they provided to an elderly lady!If you have a appliance that needs repaired call another business and not this one!

Lawerence and his assistant were on time, and wonderful to work with. Solved our problem easily and showed us how to do it ourselves if we ever have the same problem again. Highly recommend. Came out to our house in N Buncombe and was great. Thank you!

We had a fridge that stopped cooling. I called and gave them the model of my fridge, he knew exactly what it was. Had another issue he was able to resolve, too. Nice guy, solid crew, Ill def do business with them again. Quick turn around, I called on a Friday, they were at my door on Saturday morning.

What an outstanding local business! For those of you who are Angie’s Listers, this place has hundreds of exceptional reviews. I’ve utilized Mr. Peterson’s services twice in the last six months. Both times his work was great and his costs are extremely reasonable. I’ve had no further problems with the first appliance he repaired and the most recent repair has in old refrigerator working better than it has in years. I appreciate his honesty and professionalism, and I’ll choose him again should the need arise.

Wow -- these guys were fantastic. From the person who took my call to the people who actually came out to do the repair, they were prompt, polite, friendly -- and they fixed my washer super fast. I will definitely call them again.

Me Lawrence was highly recommended to me by Angie’s List. He came out on Monday February 18 2019. Inspected my refrigerator charged me $120.00 and wasn’t positive with what he thought was wrong and he needed to research it and would call me back that evening but he never called. So today Wednesday Feb 20 2019 I called his cell with no answer and left message. Called his office number got recording. Then I called again but thru Angie’s List which goes to him via their number and he answered. Said he hadn’t taken the time to call me back but that it needed a board and he could order it but it would take 12 days to get it and I should order it myself to get it quicker and he would come back and install it. I preceded to say I would rather he....and he hung up on me! I was going to say for him to order it. I tried calling back again but no answer. Waited another hour and called still no answer. Not at all happy!

I have used Mr. Peterson several times for appliance repair. He is a fair, no nonsense kind of guy. Always shows up when he says he will and gets the job done.

We love Mr. Peterson. He is honest and knowledgeable. Great prices. Kind man. And, yes, sometimes you have to wait but that is because he tries hard to get to everyone who needs him. Weve used him for a long time and will continue.

I have an Airbnb guest space so I do a lot of laundry and I depend on my washer & dryer. I’ve had a good bit of trouble out of my GE Stackable Laundry Center in the last year. Since Sears (where I bought the set) went out of business and GE sold it’s laundry manufacturing to Hare, parts take a while to arrive. But Mr. Peterson and his assistants, Miss Jackie and Reggie, have persisted. They’re hard-working and committed to getting me back up and running.

I have been a customer of Petersons Appliances for several years. He always shows up promptly and the service has been impeccable. His prices are reasonable, he is kind and also professional.

Sure this guy knows what hes doing, but the service is terrible. I have to use this company because its under a home warranty. The firs time I contacted him, my dishwasher was broken. He got lost finding my house - no big deal. But this caused him to be two hours late. He was able to fix the dishwasher though, so I was pleased. I contacted him again when my oven broke. No one ever showed up for the appointment. After I called three times, I received a call back 2 days later. Finally, I was able to set up another appointment for today. The appointment was at 1pm and Im still waiting for them to arrive. He called me at 1:30 saying he had to pick up a part, but would be over shortly. I have called twice since then and have received no call back. I would love to have a functioning oven again!

Mr. Peterson and his assistant were swift to respond, knowledgable, courteous, professional - and reasonably priced! I will certainly call on them again and would recommend them to anyone seeking repairs on washers & dryers (though I know they also service stoves and refrigerators too).

Could not fix my dryer. Avoided me via phone calls and couldnt fix a simple bearing. Does not communicate. Would not recommend at all.

Can I give ZERO stars? Petersons was dispatched through my homebuyers warranty to fix my dishwasher. I made an appointment for them to come out and an hour after the appointment time and no one showing up, I call to find out if anyone was coming. The guy asked me what the problem with the dishwasher was and said oh I know what the problem is, I need to order parts and we will call you when they come in. Well, almost 2 months later and several unanswered phone calls later.... my dishwasher is still broken and no phone call from Petersons. Can service be any worse? I think not. If I were you I would steer clear and call someone reliable.

UPDATE 5/16/2018** After my review I posted yesterday, Mr. Peterson decided to actually call us back requesting yet again pictures of the serial # and model etc. My husband explained to him our frustration and that we have sent him the pictures to him multiple times since December. He said he doesnt know what to do but he would need the pictures. We told him we are done with this, and that I would like my money back. He refused to return the $75 I paid him for the work that WAS NEVER DONE. I contacted the warranty company and he WILL be removed from their vendor list. I DO NOT RECOMMEND USING MR. PETERSON. He kept trying to hang up on us when we were trying to explain our frustration and just said ok bye. There should be a way to give zero stars..5/15/2018 - Funny how in looking through all of the reviews for Mr. Peterson the 1-2 stars are for those customers using their Home Warranty.. We have been trying to get our washing machine and dish washer fixed from My. Peterson since before Thanksgiving. He complained that we live so far outside of Asheville and that he typically does not service outside of Asheville. Well after a few weeks and a few after 6:00 phone calls with him he made it out to the house on a Saturday. He was a nice man and so was the other guy with him he seemed to know what he was doing and even climbed behind our washing machine. He said he would submit the issues to the warranty company and let us know. Well some time went by a few games of phone tag later he was able to let us know what the warranty would cover and that the parts were ordered.. well here we now are in the middle of May and still nothing. washing machine is still broken and our dishwasher is missing parts Every time we try to contact Mr. Peterson it goes straight to voicemail. At this point all I want is my money back from Mr. Peterson. The warranty company is having a difficult time contacting him as well. So much for wanting to go with a small business owner... Seems if you are nearby in Asheville he does great work but once he has to go outside of Asheville.... good luck.

Ive called on Mr. Peterson twice now, he is knowledgeable, respectful and is the person you want providing service and in your home. Im sorry to see the one poster unhappy, I would suggest trying to call him again, Ive never known him to be one to not want to provide excellent service.
