I had a terrific experience purchasing a watch from Tourneau, soon to be Bucherer, at the Pentagon City mall. Their selection and professionalism are second to none in the DC metro area.My quest for a sub 40mm blue sports watch led me to the Tudor BB36. I reviewed countless articles, blogs, forums, and videos that had me convinced this is the exact watch I wanted as it checked all of my boxes on paper. I contacted several different dealers in the area to see if they had any that I could try on and in the spirit of 2020/2021, almost all were sold out and had the watches on order. Tourneau was the only place that offered to next-day ship the watch from another location, at no cost, so that I could try it on in-person. John D. was who I spoke with on the phone and ultimately who I had the pleasure of meeting upon my visit in-store just two days after we first spoke.I visited the store late afternoon and met John who showed me the watch I requested as well as a similar model, the Tudor BB58. Seeing these two watches in-person made left me torn between the two. John let me take as much time as I needed to try on both watches so that I was 100% happy with whatever I chose - even if that meant neither of the watches. I felt no pressure whatsoever to make a purchasing decision and appreciated John’s candor. Ultimately, I left the store with the 58, an amazing timepiece that I have since worn daily as my everywhere/anything watch.To any prospective watch buyer - you must try on watches in the metal, as the impression it makes on your wrist to you is far more important than any amount of collective praise, hype, or your own perceptions from research done beforehand. Tourneau is the best place in our area to try on and purchase a luxury watch. They have an incredible inventory within their network and have sales professionals who are knowledgeable, not-pushy, and courteous. I could not be happier with my watch buying experience thanks to John and the team at Tourneau!

I have been to watch stores all around the world from Asia, Europe and the US and the Tourneau store at Pentagon City has always been my favorite place to purchase luxury watches. Robin ONeil, Kevin Chen and the rest of the staff are very knowledgeable about the watches and have the highest customer care in the business.They do not pressure you into buying a watch rather they educate on the functionality and benefits of the watch you are considering.I have been in search of the two tone Rolex Submariner and this weekend I got a call that it was available and now I am the proud owner of this masterpiece. They have been my store of choice for over a decade and I am a customer for LIFE!THANK YOU!

Pretty good experience here at Tourneau at Pentagon City (soon to be Bucherer i think). I have been a customer of them since 2010 and its been my go to spot for watches even before they switch store location inside the mall. Robin and her team (Kevin, John S and Tiffany) were astounding for making things right. I was looking for a watch for my wife for a special occasion, went there to order it in person but the shipment got delayed. They went above and beyond though to resolve the situation! In addition, they let me try a watch that Ive been looking for (crossing my fingers that I get to own this watch soon). Check them out for your watch needs! They are friendly folks! These guys were very professional and honest people especially the sales professional Hana and the store director Robin. Great but since pandemic the selections have been wiped out. They should close the Rolex case and enter Breguet and other offerings. Keeping empty cases for Rolex now 4 years in is costly real estate moreover it helps Rolex branding as ultra exclusive. Whom is paying whom for real estate business cost? Or exclusivity branding. 4 years is enough. Bring in other offerings say from Germany? Empty cases are ridiculous at this point. Overall selections are down. 3.5 of 5 as its not their fault it is the market.

I had a great experience buying a watch from John D at the Pentagon City Tourneau location. John was very helpful and showed me a ton of stuff. I went in several times and he answered all my questions. He has a lot of experience and it was great to get his input. I’ve had other not so positive experiences with other jewelers in the area. If you’re in the market for a watch you should definitely go see John.

I visited Tourneau recently and Monika was absolutely fantastic! Upon hearing it was my birthday, she offered me a glass of champagne, and was very attentive to my many questions and requests to look at and try on various pieces. She even asked another employee to give her opinion on a couple watches for me, took pictures of them, and helped me put them on my wrist. I run a 150 employee retail/service business, so I know how important and also difficult to please Customers at all times. My first purchases from Tourneau were in NY in 1993 and 1996 and I had a great experience then. It got better when I recently visited the Pentagon City, Virginia store. I was blown away at the customer service and knowledge of the store personnel. First, I had two watches cleaned and had excellent service with John D. Impressed and wanting to look into new watches, I reached back out to John D. this June 2021. He was simply excellent in helping me find my new watch (CPO Rolex Hulk) and I am thrilled with it. John D., Tiffany, and Robin were all exceptional at creating a wonderful and educational experience. After speaking to John D. further, I caught the watch bug and went back last week (early July) and purchased another watch (CPO Daytona)(late July). You cant go wrong with the professionalism of this fine bunch!Most recent positive experience: I saw a Bluesey on the company website I was interested in. I ordered through John D. because that is what I do. When it arrived, it was off the mark with a few flaws. The store called and alerted me to this fact before I went in for delivery/acceptance because they wanted to give me a heads up. Major credit for their forthrightness. I ultimately elected to cancel the order - no questions asked by anyone there. They looked out for me when I was out of town and not able to make a personal inspection (though they sent pics). They simply went out of their way to make this whole experience right. Trust.

Terrible customer service!! I wanted to purchase a new Rolex for my birthday and I was practically ignored when I entered the store. Quite possibly because I was a minority. I came with my wife and children and they also witnessed the treatment. I asked for a display of the new Rolex watches and the manager simply pointed to the preowned and walked away. I do not recommend there services to anyone. Everyone should be treated with the utmost respect. I will make my purchase elsewhere.

After numerous discussions with my endlessly charming purchasing agent, I feel Ive arrived at my current conclusions for the DMV during the pandemic.Tourneau at Pentagon tends to offer the best luxury retail experience that can be achieved with timepieces. Youll get similar sensations of Swiss retail in the Omega boutiques around the area, but Tourneau carries Omega, as well IWC, Panerai, Oris, Rolex, Tudor, Longines, Breitling, Cartier, and various accessory straps in the common lug dimensions. Certainly a time-saver if youre constantly busy on the go. Walking through those doors really is like a portal through the Alps. Another Tourneau he visited in the Bay Area felt the same way - Tenderloin by SFO - although that was well before the pandemic.If you feel intimidated by the ambience, fret not - just don a comfy turtleneck and imagine cozying up beside a snapping fireplace at a ski resort. It can be that sort of atmosphere if you want it to be. Come for the watches, stay for the statement pieces (plus witty banter), and leave with a unique amalgamation of Swiss Made magic fitted precisely for your preferred wrist. My agent has worked with likely most of the staff at that location - John DeMetro, Jason Konig, Hanna, Tiffany Ha, Kevin Chen, Monika Nolan, and John Sejas. He was even politely introduced to the store director, Robin ONeill. Each their own exquisite sales professional.Tourneau Pentagon is pleasantly devoid of the toxic snobbery you may come to despise from consistent window shopping at random boutiques and airports across the globe. They offered guidance through my own styling and statement processes while providing friendly white-glove treatment at each step for my agent. And the pre-owned selection cannot go unmentioned. Its as good as weve seen within the IAD/DCA/BWI region.Also, its impressive to hear about such respectful efficiency in the era of such a withering pandemic. Im pleased theyre enforcing all the common-sense precautions - they care about their customers whilst bearing a competitive expression of retail craftsmanship. Very pleased with the extra distance they offered to perfect my most recent Tudor acquisitions. I will be a Tourneau customer long-haul in the Americas. Open more shops, get more retail real estate. I cannot withstand Manhattan.

Cant say enough great things about this place and the people in it. Robin and John Demetro have been so helpful over the past few months with my two watch purchases (one of which wasnt even intended, but these guys are THAT GOOD). John is a pro through and through and clearly loves what he does and is passionate about it. Robin and John both hit the key pillars in retailing that are often overlooked these days, fulfilling a need AND creating a want. Theyve also serviced a watch for me that came out far better than I expected. There is NOWHERE else in the area that you will find this level of service, expertise and friendliness in your hunt to purchase or service a watch. I would never think of shopping anywhere else.

I just purchased my second timepiece from this fine establishment. I dealt with Tiffany Ma (assistant manager), Kevin and Jack (both sales professionals), all of whom were truly outstanding. I was introduced to them by Robin ONeill, the store director, from whom I I purchased my first watch. Robin impressed me tremendously with her product knowledge, attention detail and customer service. It was at a level of service i have never received from Tourneau in the past (years ago). Such was the case with the team working with Ms. Ma. as well. Upon arrival, they answered my questions, showed me the time piece of interest, handled the sale and sizing in a timely and efficient manner. They were also extremely friendly and helpful with my questions. Bottom line, I felt very well treated and will certainly be back when Im again i the market for a fine time piece. My hat is off to Ms. ONeill and her team for running a first class operation for those of us who love watches. Thank you again for a job well done!

I took my ancient Tourneau Sportgraph in for servicing, the face needed replacing, and I was fully expecting to pay for the replacement face and service charge. Instead, Tourneau replaced the face, serviced the watch, and even fixed the original bracelet (not pictured) for free. Thank you so much for the Christmas gift!! You now have a loyal customer. WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT!!!05/21/2020 My timepiece is covered under the TPP program and need of repair. My local LAS VEGAS Tourneau store is still closed for any watch service but OPEN for curbside pick up. Not able to use my TPP that i have paid for going on 3 mths. Contacted all the toll free numbers available to NO avail, even MACIELA that answered the call @ Customer service dont have a clue on the TPP claims procedures. No one @ TOURNEAU knows how to process TPP claims under this climate.Since my timepiece can not be repaired for the last 3 months and counting, under this COVID-19 climate. Tourneau should extend TPP programs that already have been paid for by its customers. She listened attentively to my concerns and issues-- I definitely appreciate the care and attention she provided.The watched was serviced within an acceptable timeframe. The staff made it a pleasurable experience when I picked up my watch. I have bumped up my rating from 2 to 4 stars, but will leave my original review as a reference. Overall, they have made me change my mind and I would consider Tourneau again for a future timepiece purchase.ORIGINAL REVIEW:The experience was comparable to a semi-shady used-car dealership. The staff are friendly, however like most sales people, they will say things to convince you to go through with a purchase. Its a shame that they operate this way, but they have lost me as a customer. I will never to buy another time piece here again.BACKGROUND:I put a deposit on a pre-owned watch I saw on their online store and the salesman, John assisted me on the phone and stated that the watch is returnable for a full refund for up to 14 days. However, when I went to the store and paid for the watch in full, the same sales person (John) disclosed to me that the return policy for in-store purchases are only for 7 days (unworn) and its only for Tourneau credit. I felt scammed and lied to, especially after I had already paid. Apparently, in-store and online orders have different return policies.To make matters worse, I asked the same sales person for documentation and the service history of the watch that he claimed Tourneau completed, but he was unable to present that information and reassured me the watch works perfectly-- I took his word for it. After wearing the watch for a few days, I have noticed that there were several issues with the movement and had to take it back to the store to get a complete overhaul service.Fortunately, I was helped by a gentleman named Kevin who was sympathetic to my situation and wanted to make it right. He even correctly guessed the sales person whom had initially sold this watch to me. Another staff member also apologized to me, but apologies do not make up for lost time.I paid over $3k for this watch and at that price point, I expect it to be operational with no issues. Unfortunately, that was not the case and I will have to wait over 2 months for Tourneau to service it.Overall, I am not happy with this company and will not be making any future purchases with them.

I always enjoying visiting this shop. The sales staff treats you with respect and courtesy. Most recently, I had the pleasure of working with Kevin to try on a few pieces. I eventually decided the model for me was a difficult to come by Tudor that was rarely stocked. Kevin was patient with me, answered all my questions, and didn’t push me to purchase something else in the absence of another. I’m hope the model comes in at some point because I’d like to give my business to them again. I’d also like to give a shout out to the security staff. They are always polite and professional, too.

Walked in today, as a new customer. Designer and high end stores are not new to me though so I know a genuine sales associate when I meet one. John was so pleasant to work with. He was patient, invited me to touch and really get to know the various pieces, shared great knowledge without intimidating or overloading me. Best of all, he listened.I will add, the other associates in the store at the time also seemed pleasant, so I’m sure you can’t go wrong. Also, give them a call because due to the pandemic and social distancing, you may need an appointment.

Liljenquist in Tysons is better. This store seems to discriminate based on how you look. Tried to go in and look at watches; the security guard opened the door and asked “what I was here for” and I said to look at watches. He said sorry; but we’re full (why not lead with that?). Two people walked out, and he still wouldn’t let me in. I was in jeans, sneakers, a field jacket, and wearing...a Rolex. Guess they shouldn’t judge based on appearance so much.

Stopped by to see if they could help me resize a watch (that I didn’t buy there) and just mentioned off hand that I was eyeing a Rolex Milgauss and had never seen one in person. The sales rep, Jason, instantly remembered that one had just came in stock recently and pulled it out for me. Hard sell to the nth degree. My wife was looking for a particular watch from a brand they supposedly carry but no one in the store had ever heard of the band even after you show them the company website. Three women even told my wife she didnt want the watch she wants and tried to sell her a cheap Omega. Give me a break. Avoid them at all costs.

Edit: The manager called me the day after to apologize for the situation. While my opinion of the staff that was present remains the same for the time being, speaking to the manager convinced me that the company itself does strive for a higher standard. Great follow up.Came in shopping during a slow time when I was one of 3 customers in the store. All the employees clearly saw me there, walked by me and no one acknowledged me or offered to help. Then one other person (who is obviously a regular customer) walks in and, Can I get you a coffee? Water? Would you like to see anything?. Apparently their customer service is only available to people theyre familiar with. I walked in with the intention of purchasing a new piece today, but theres nothing here that I cant buy from another dealer who actually wants to earn my business.

Stopped by for a quick band replacement on my Omega and had a wonderful experience. Band was replaced in 10 minutes while a sales associate shows me a few beautiful pre-owned watches. While I certainly wasn’t ready to purchase, I’m looking forward to buying a watch at this location. Good old fashioned customer service impressed me today.

I purchased a watch at the Las Vegas store a few years ago. It needed to be repaired. I took it to the Pentagon City store for repair. I was told this brand was not sold at this store but would see what could be done. I later received a message saying the watch was being sent to the manufacturer for repair. Awful watch repair pickup process.:I attempted to pick up a watch that I had dropped off for servicing. I forgot my drivers license, but I had multiple credit cards with my name (including the one I paid for the service with in advance), employee IDs, and copies of the communication back and forth from the service center stating that my watch was ready. They would not let me pick it up, but said they could ship it to me for additional fee. What kind of process is this? How do they account for customers who may not have ID? Cant they do identify verification like a bank? (Ask DOB, address, etc.). Awful customer service and a huge waste of customer time

I purchased a watch from this store’s website two years ago and came by to have the battery replaced. The old woman told me it would take a week to have the work done (seriously?! just to replace a battery!), and I OKed with that. Within 30 min after I left the store and I was on the metro heading back home, the store called me saying my watch is ready for pickup. So I had to go back, when I got to the store, they kept me waiting on, even though one of the sales were not serving anyone but slacking around. I told him that I was misinformed by the old woman and it wasted my time to travel back and forth. No apologies. The guy even said he couldn’t understand my case and the woman had worked there for 14 years and would help me. But she was helping another customer and apparently it would take her a while to get back to me. Then I told him to just give my watch back. He said: you don’t have an receipt how can I help you? He DIDNT even ask for that!! I gave him the receipt, asking only for my watch back. I don’t care whether the battery is replaced or not, I just want to get my watch back and get out this place. He then explained the sales was not sure how long it would take when she told me it would take a week!!!!!! Isnt it a basic part of your training that when you are not sure, make sure before telling your customer instead of just giving blind guess?! I was shopping for a high-end watch for my mother’s birthday, considered this store but now forget about it!!! I will get the service commensurate with the money I pay, selling high-end watches by no means makes the sales high-end. indeed, very low-end and essentially discriminatory. The staff deserve unemployment. The store deserve bankruptcy. That’s it.

Getting yanked around and deceived when you are trying to make an extremely important purchase is terrible. Yes, there is a list in numeric order that Tourneau keeps for various watches. It is interesting however, that they will not tell you how far along or low you are on the list. A salesman told us that someone came in and bought three of the same watch, but we didnt move up the list. Sounds like they have a good ol boy club and they do not sell the Rolex brand with Integrity. I have been trying to purchase a very special gift for months now, and they could at least give me a straight forward answer. Stop yanking people around when they are trying to spend their hard earned money. Have some decent customer service, and keep your word.

I had a wonderful experience here. Doug V. provided excellent customer service.I brought two watches in; a Bulova that is nearly 20 years old and little bracelet watch from the 1970s. Neither one was expensive. The watch from the 1970s simply needed a new battery. Yes they had to send it out, but I did not need the watch right away so I did not care that it could not be done on the spot. Plus Ive had terrible luck with battery replacement kiosks that malls have. That took about a week.My Bulova had water damage because the regular jewelry store I took it to to get a new battery did not replace the water tight seal properly (in their defense they didnt say that they could, they just took my money and gave me a new battery). I ended up needing to have the inner workings of the clock rebuilt and the crystal replaced. All of that only cost me $92. And from the moment they took my watches until I paid and was out the door they treated me with respect and with no uppity attitude. I highly recommend this store for servicing of an existing watch that needs to be properly resealed to maintain its integrity.If you want an immediate battery replaced that doesnt need a factory seal, I agree that some place else is better suited for that.

I bought an Omega here in 2008 and had a good experience. About once a year I get an email for complimentary testing of the mechanics. This year I even received a free battery. You may be able to find better deals online but just ensure that the merchant is an authorized dealer or you may not be able to obtain warranty service.

115 years in business, and their model hasn’t evolved or adapted to modern consumer behavior nor to keep up with their competitive set. Any business who attempts to justify an abnormally Inflated price point - especially when most of their pieces don’t include box or papers - simply because they are legacy and “that’s how Tourneau does business” will lose market share and consumer loyalty rapidly, which speaks to why they were up for sale earlier this year and no one wanted to buy them out. After buying from multiple time piece vendors, Tourneau is hands down the worst buying experience/brand I’ve encountered. Save yourself a couple thousand $, do your research and explore other watch retail/ecommerce options that offer more for your dollar for an equal-to-greater valued product. Below average organization. Below average consumer experience. Below average/incompetent salesmanship/talent. Zero competitive advantage.

The worst place ever. Customer service is the worst. No knowledge of the product☹️ It’s really bad customer service. Please take your money somewhere else😕. Rating is really 0. I brought a watch from them and it was the worst mistake I could have made. If you go into the store they will see you standing there waiting patiently and ignore you. Sorry to say the worse.☹️ Also took the watch in to have battery changed and the watch cleaned and when I got the watch back the watch was still dirty. They said they had cleaned it but never did. This place is not good service. The sales people Here have a very poor rating.

Despite the bad reviews, I stopped by this location to have links added to my watch band. I was worried about scratches (as prior reviewers have mentioned) but the staff were quick and professional and my watch came back looking the same, just with an adjusted band and the time/date set. Also, they did it for free.

Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. The woman was rude and dismissive. I have never been so insulted by someone who was waiting on ME and serving ME! When I complained to the manager the woman said she didnt care because she was only part time there. I was referred there by another watch maker and I will be sure to give them this feedback, and everyone else in my network. Do NOT patronize this store. I am completely disgusted.

I bought a watch. Fell in love at first look and plunked down 2 times what could have got it on Amazon for. Then somehow got talked into some bump maintenance package and when I try to redeem they seemed puzzled but finally just sloppily said could mail to them but I sense no real plan on their part. Tourneau exists for bored people who in a moment of stupid buy a watch. I am embarrassed that I was once one of those people. NEVER AGAIN. Live and learn.

I purchased a new Breitling watch in January and was guaranteed a 3 week turnaround and delivery to my home. When I didnt hear from the sales representatitive during that timeframe, I followed up with the store to be passed around between sales reps until a manager answered to tell me that delivery wouldnt occur for an additional 8 weeks. This watch was purchased for two life changing events and would never have been bought had I been told the truth about the turnaround time. I love the piece so I decided to just roll with it. 10 weeks later it arrives in the store for pickup when it was supposed to have been fitted and overnighted to my home address. I drive to the location to pick it up in person and let the sales rep know hours in advance. When I get there the watch hasnt been sized properly and I am told that because I am taking delivery in person that I must pay sales tax. This was never told to me as I had already paid in full months prior for the watch. I explained that I had waited 3 months for the watch and had to drive more than 2 1/2 hours to come pick it up in person since Torneau did not execute what was agreed upon. Instead of accommodating the sales person got angry, spoke over top of me and told me I can go ahead and cancel the purchase. The level of unprofessionalism was insane throughout the entire process and I strongly recommended anyone considering purchasing a luxury watch to avoid this merchant like the plague.

I called Tourneau in Pentagon City to ask if they could order an extra link for my Tag Heuer. They switched me to the service area and the guy took all my info and said he would call me back in a couple days. IT HAS BEEN 2 WEEKS!! and no contact so far. Thanks for the POOR customer service.

I went to Torrneau today looking for a watch to buy for my graduation. Immediately after asking a question to one of the assistants, she said, Most of our watches start at over $2,500, so you should just check out our website. She then proceeded to walk away. I was appalled, and I will never purchase anything from Torrneau. I will now look at watches from another store such as Schiffmans, or maybe I will buy directly from the watch maker I am interested in. Regardless, the assistants judgement and horrible service made me sick to my stomach, and I will never, ever even look at the watches at Torrneau again.

My husband has purchased two watches from Tourneau in the past years. Both watches need repairs and they will not be covered under warranty. The repair for one of the watches will cost over $2,000 and the other over $1,000. Now I think there is no reason to spend thousands of dollars on a watch that will not last a lifetime and the company will not maintain a warranty equivalent to the price of the product. I will never buy from Tourneau again.

I went to this store to have the pins replaced in the bracelet for my Omega watch. The store quoted me a price of $100.00, and a wait time of 4 to 6 weeks, in order to replace the parts. I then took the same watch to the Omega store at Tysons Corner. They replaced the pins in one week for $4. Let me repeat this for $4. Just to confirm, I called Tourneau again today, explained exactly what I needed done, (I essentially told them what the Omega store had done for me already,) and was once again quoted a price of $100.00. This store will take advantage of the unknowing, and will rob from them.

Incompetent luddite service. Brought a TAG here to simply have a couple links taken out. The technician scarred several links and pins in the attempt, but couldnt figure out how to get the pins out. And Tourneau is an authorized TAG service center! He then had the gall to tell me that this probably is because I bought it on the internet... implying somehow buying a brand name watch from someone other than him or from the evil internet made it inferior. I took it to a jeweler who had NO TROUBLE re-sizing it in 15min and was mystified that anyone else who knew what they were doing would have a problem.
