The place was clean, and the people were courteous and friendly. I came in at the end of the day on Sunday, and the place was full with a couple of guys ahead of me. When it was my turn, I got the person who I think is the manager. I thought she would be great, as I assumed she has lots of experience cutting hair. But as the manager, she was distracted by many things during my haircut and seemed more interested in finishing than doing a quality job. When she was almost done, I mentioned that my hair at the front of my head was a bit long and asked her to cut it shorter. She trimmed it a bit, and I asked her to cut it a bit more, which she did. I thought she would then make the rest of the hair on the top of my head the same length, but no. She did a few more quick snips and was done. The hair on the top of my head was various lengths, to such an extent that when I got home, my wife said that she could tell I had a haircut from the side (seeing the trim) but not from the front. Then, my wife had to then fix my haircut by trying to make the length of the hair on the top of my head about equal. The manager/barber was going so fast that she didnt even care to cut all of my hair. Worst haircut in a very long time, and I wont be going back.

Every single barber at this place does an incredible job. My hair is always exactly how I want it, regardless of which barber cuts it. I know exactly how my hair is going to turn out. Extremely satisfied. I will only be going to this barbershop for as long as I live here.

My husband and two boys love this place. We have been coming here as a family for almost 7 years. They always fit us in and do an excellent job. Vickie is our go to lady for all 3. We call in the morning or stop by and tell them we will be coming in the afternoon. They are always waiting with a smile and cut fast and perfectly. They do a great job with clippers on young kids. Mine have been coming as babies. In and out and great prices. I know people who go here and live no where nearby. They used to and moved away but still come back. They are the best!

Have gotten haircuts here for the past year and a half and have walked out very satisfied with my hair. Prices are very competitive for the DC/Arlington area (I usually pay around $27 plus tip). I recommend asking for the owner, she always pays very close attention and gives a detailed cut.

I have been looking for a good place to get my haircut for 10 years. Everyone in the Rosslyn area is too expensive for what you get. Which is a 30 min haircut that they have redone 3 times and you end up with something super short. TL can cut your hair in 10-15 min. I always leave with an excellent haircut no matter the barber. Its the best place to around hands down.

I went there for a hot lather shave today.Let me start with the positives. Very friendly people, nice environment.That got it to be a one star instead of zero.The shave...its advertised as a hot lather and in description calls it their Signature Shave with hot steaming towels.The lather was not hot, and the towels were cold, both before and after.A hot towel is critical to a razor shave unless you have just come out of the shower in my humble opinion.Now I purposefully did not shave on Thursday or this morning (Friday) and went just before lunch time. Essentially just over 48hours of growth.The very first thing that was done was an electric razor was used on a few spots...if you have ever used an electric razor and skipped a day or two of shaving, you know that did not feel good at all.The nicks on my face after complete made me wonder what I was doing there. Not sure if it was a dull razor or just not proper prep with a hot towel on the face, but the end result was this....My Gillette Mach 3 gives me a much closer (yes its not even a close shave) and more comfortable shave.This in no way represents their hair cuts, that maybe great, but skip the shave!!!

Don is my guy here. This place is great. It may be one of the best, straight up barber shops in the area. No bells or whistles, but the team here know how to use a straight razor. Id put the finished product up against any of the best you might get in Brooklyn or San Francisco.

The barbers here are great. Ive got an asymmetrical short type of hair style that has really challenged some other barbers but Mai at TL Barbershop got it right the first time so thats my new Barbershop! They provide a straight razor neckline at the end too. Just a great barbershop...period.

Ive been getting my hair cut in Arlington for a little over seven years and this is my favorite shop in the area. All of the staff are incredibly friendly and welcoming and, most importantly, they know how to cut hair.Over the years Ive had a couple different styles, but every cut from TL has come out looking great with no complaints. Great with fades and more technical cuts as well as trims and clean ups for longer hair. $17 (pre-tip) for a trim which includes a hot lather and straight blade neck shave at the end.My biggest issue with some of the other shops in the area is simply the wait time. On most days, Im able to walk in and get a cut with zero wait. Prices between shops in Arlington are fairly similar, but I can always count on the staff at TL to keep clients moving so youre rarely waiting for more than 15 minutes even during peak hours.

Great place! Reasonably priced and quick service. I usually go weekend mornings and there are 4-5 people available to cut hair. I never waited more than a 5 minutes. Big plus, OPEN ON SUNDAY! Ive never seen a barber or salon open on Sunday.

I just left the TL Barbershop and wanted to immediately write a great review. I was looking for a decent price, attention to detail and the straight razor finish was a great attraction. The previous reviews made me want to try out TL and I was not disappointed! I got a haircut days prior to a wedding and showed my baber a picture of what I wanted it to look like - military but a little longer on the top. She did a fabulous job and took her time with the trimmers and scissors. She made sure I was happy with the length in the beginning, while she cut, and at the end. The included straight razor shave on the back of your head at the base of your neck is a wonderful standard addition. I didnt even mention it (though its listed on their website), but because I was in uniform in the picture I showed her, she asked later on if I was in the military to ensure I got their $2 discount for service members. Great service and honest people! I will definitely be coming back here and Im looking forward to trying out their complete straight razor shave. Very satisfied, clean shop, good prices and a great variety of services (cut/wash/shave, etc.). A great addition to the neighborhood.

These folks just opened a month ago in this great location for Rosslyn/ Courthouse residents. They get my highest recommendation. Very friendly, and far from a #2 factory, despite their great prices. They take their time, listen, and do an excellent job. Id have paid $20 more than they actually charged me.

I was really attracted by all the superstar reviews, and so I decided to go here.This is a true barber shop. You come in and sit down, while waiting you read the newspaper.These guys are great! The barbers who will give you a decent haircut for a very decent price. I love the fact that they dont force you to make small talk. In fact, I often have my ear buds on and catch up on the news while I get a trim.Cant beat their price! $16 as of this writing. Im a regular :-)

Went here for years. Kim was my barber and she was phenomenal.

TL Barbershop was the only barber close to i was tied to it. I always have to wait from ten to 45 minutes since they only have 2 barbers most of the time. When they brought in a 3rd barber she destroyed my hair with inadvertent cuts, divots and uneven on the sides. I returned reluctantly after about 6 months and the lines and the wait time was just as lengthy. A more concerning issue is that the two barbers favor their friends and allow them to cut line. I just discovered another barbershop a block away called Supreme. They have four barbers, and although they are male, not Asian females as in TL, they are polite, respectful and do a great haircut. They are also the same price. One more thing about TL is that their advertised hours appear incorrect on their door and on the internet . I have seen them closed when they should be open.

Been coming here for over 2 years. They have good prices, but only a select couple of barbers do a good job and you have to know who they are. The rest will cut your hair on the fly as fast as they can looking to get you out asap so they can take in more clients. Had my haircuts messed up 3-4 times because my select barbers werent there.

Quyen pronounced Quinn gave me the best haircut Ive had in a while, despite her being approx 30 mins from me, her attention to detail is not common. I usually have to go through 8-10 barbers when I move to another area before I find the right one. My haircut? High and tight, skin fade, 1.5 left on top. Should be easy but can go terribly wrong in the hands of someone that doesnt pay attention to detail.

I really like TL and I really hate the place that took their old location and didnt correct me when I was confused about how everything had changed. Seriously it was a dick move on their part. Happy to see that TL just moved and thats all.Go to the new address that Google has, dont go to the old location.

Great ownership, staff and they get it right

I found TL barbershop online when researching for a place to get a hot shave. Do not go to this barbershop for a hot shave, I cannot stress this enough. Their version of hot lather is putting a small amount of shaving cream on their fingertips and running hot water over it before spreading the drippy liquid all over you. I actually took the apron off and walked out before she had the chance to touch me with the watered down shaving cream. I had to pay $7 because the barber insisted on buzzing my face with the electric shape-up buzzers before shaving me. This is not how hot shaves are performed. I cannot comment on their haircuts (which are apparently great according to the other reviews) but I will never be a customer at TL barbershop again.

Avoid this place at all costs. I went in for a simple trim. Instructed the woman to cut a quarter inch off my hair and 30 seconds later had an electric trimmer completely buzzing off my hair. Im devastated by the atrocity of a haircut I have and will be desperately waiting for the next six weeks to pass to grow my hair back to the length it was. Horrible horrible horrible. She also started to trim my beard without any prompting and was smart enough to stop her from mutilating that as well.
