Been looking around for a new apartment once my lease is up. I first spoke with Kim over the phone she was very helpful and patient with me as I tend to mix up and complicate my sentences. When I got to the apartments Haleigh had taken me for a tour around the complex and was extremely nice and informative about all of my questions. I well definitely be renting with them!

I have lived here for just about a year and going through a pandemic, the staff and maintenance have been excellent. Their has been issues with the pool, not opening, but that is is excepted as we are still in a pandemic. I will definitely be renewing my lease next month.

I haven’t even been here a month and I am so disappointed. I moved here for the location the gated security and they had a nice pool. I have yet see the gate work and was told the pool would be opened up in a week or so. I have put in 5. YES 5 work orders for the same issues and no one ever calls me back. The gnats are taking over and the smell of cigs and pot have made me buy a $300 air purifier that isn’t even taking care of the issues. I am so upset I chose this community and wish I would have searched longer. I know if things doesn’t change I will not be staying long. It’s a shame because I love the apartment and location. P.S. I am also in the apartment business and have never neglected my residents and would always stay as late as possible to make them all happy. The manager is a sweet young lady but I think she is a bit green to be managing a complex of this size. Just my opinion. No one EVER answers the phone so you can talk to a human. I know they have had people quit on them but there are temp services that could help out. Please get it together. FIX THE GATE… FIX THE POOL… FIX MY REQUEST!!! Thanks

We’ve lived here almost 5 years & I have to say the old management must had us spoiled because since new management has taken over we have been highly disappointed. The upkeep on the apartment buildings are non existent. The staircases are filthy, They don’t power wash & maintenance doesn’t clean after themselves after a job. They charge you for pest control & I haven’t seen anyone come into my apartment or around my apartment to spray since they’ve taken over. I wouldn’t recommend anyone to live here. The gate that is suppose to make us feel secure and safe is always broken. The “playground” they have for the kids is a joke and next to the dog park. There is always an issue with the AC. You would think that they would want to take care of their long term tenets to keep them happy but clearly they dont. They came to fit something in my apartment and took it, we didn’t get it back until months later and we had to bring it to their attention, it’s completely different from. They were suppose to remodel and it still haven’t happen. I’m guessing they’ll do it when we move out. I’m very disappointed especially with the amount of money I pay to stay here.

I have been here a year and the gate never works.They should remove this feature from their website.The pool was closed September of last year and it is currently July and the pool is still closed. I have been here a year and it has only been open one month.The staff is not responsive and they tend to not be available during office hours. I suspect they leave early.Everything else is fair at best.

We moved in during COVID- apartment unseen- just trusted the staff to meet our needs and took their recommendations. They went above and beyond to make sure our experience was exceptional.After living here for 14 months we have meet many tents and they are like family- polite, respectful and Very safe! We have never felt uncomfortable for any reason.Amazing property, staff, and community!The reason we are moving is we built a home and have to say good by. Bitter sweet- new home on the lake but have to say good by!Thank you to all the staff for all y’all do going above and beyond!

DO NOT LIVE HERE! MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE!We moved here last August and the pool closed down for the WINTER in September. It is now July and its still closed! When we asked why they said it fails inspection and the volleyball court is inoperable and the gate never works. They might as well remove pool and gated community from their website. They never answer the phone and they always leave early. Maintenance requests are not taken seriously and P.S. it always smells like pot!

I put in a work order because I wasn’t getting hot water. Maintenance showed up promptly and said they would replace the unit likely the next day. I called and left a message for the office to call me with a update. No response. I called again and spoke to someone on Saturday. She told me she would contact maintenance and get back to me. Nothing! Very poor communication. At best just call or email me.

I signed a lease here for 1 yr and 1 month. The area is perfect. You have a Kroger, Walmart and Albertsons minutes away. In terms of the apartments themselves, maintenance requests are speedy, and if not done within a few days you can call and usually theyll speed up the process. Move out was swift and easy as well, did not get overcharged for anything since I left the apartment as I received it. Only real down side is not having elevators if you live on the top floor, and sometimes the front gate can be open for an extended period of time because its broken. I recommend!

Gnats everywhere, do not move here. Management even says they have gnats as well. I tell repeatedly that we have gnats and all they do is come and spray.

My rating for Chesterfield Apartments has definitely changed over time. If you look through past reviews I gave them 5 stars. That 5 star rating was due to previous management which was under Pace Realty. Management was super friendly and responsive. They would remember your name just by seeing your face and maintenance requests were fulfilled that very day or the next day at the most. Everything has changed since they have switched to Valiant Residential. Management is mediocre. Maintenance requests take multiple days to fill and that’s usually because I have to call in and check up on the work order. Their pest control is laughable as well. I live on the third floor but yet I have to deal with roaches. They just send someone who is literally using a Raid type bug spray and expect that to help. This is supposed to be a so called luxury apartment with its pricing but yet I am not seeing that in the customer service at all. The apartments are older in comparison to other apartments that are similarly priced but they were well take care of during the time of Pace Realty.The only reason why I didn’t give it an even lower score is because I still think it’s a good apartment for safety when it comes to single women and families. My neighbors are quiet and stay to themselves and I have never had an issue.I recommend management to not just give a routine response with a “I’m sorry about your issues and please email us,” and actually take care of these issues. Chesterfield had a very high reputation when I first moved in and you all are causing people to not want to live here.

I have lived in my complex over 6 months. I have never had a problem until recently. I’ve noticed a increase of garbage on the grounds. I have also had a vehicle stolen in my complex. Pretty sure it was a neighbor’s friend. Now I find out my cameras don’t work. What is even the point of the security gate. Maybe they should invest in security or something. Lease up I’m gone!

I have lived at Chesterfield since January 2011 and I love it here. It is a well maintained property. The maintenance team are quick to respond to any problem that should arise and repairs are promptly addressed. The office staff are just fantastic and eager to help at any time. I love the quiet and safe atmosphere of our little community. A great place to hang your hat!

I can’t remember the girls name but whoever was there Saturday was AMAZING! I have never met a sweeter person. She took sooooo much time showing me around and answering all my questions. Still not sure if I’m moving there or out of state but people like her need recognition!

Great apartments, reasonably priced. Extremely safe community and the majority of tenants are friendly. My only complaint is that many tenants dont clean up after their pets. It would be nice to have a service come through weekly to take care of this issue. Other than that, I highly recommend Chesterfield. The leasing agents also always have a great attitude.

Im a resident here and the new office staff is great. I met the new manager briefly, but Ive been dealing with Yvonne and shes amazing. She brings an amazing atmosphere to the office. Highly recommend everyone to speak to her.

I have lived here for 1 year. The management team is always very friendly and helpful. The location is perfect. The complex is very clean and quiet and I rarely hear any noise. The apartments have lots of space and are updated. I have really enjoyed living at Chesterfield.

Im so glad I made the choice to move to chesterfield! Sarah was so helpful and super sweet. I love when I put in a maintenance request and its taking care of the same day or the next day, they will even call you once they are finish. Its super quiet and everyone is super friendly and the location is perfect. If you are looking for a new home please stop by chesterfield!!

My boyfriend & I have been looking for an apartment complex for months & I spotted this complex while driving home from class one day. Jackie has been extremely helpful with the process of getting everything together for our move in date! if we have any questions, shes always willing to answer them. Its in the perfect spot and its exactly what we have been looking for! I have recommended several friends to this location already!!

Leasing staff was very nice! Ana Oldham took care of my girlfriend and I wonderfully. This was our first time getting an apartment and she was VERY informative making sure we had all the information we needed. She even recommended services or places that would help based on her experience. She took her time on our tour of the room and never rushed us. She made the entire experience more enjoyable and fun!

Well overall the apartments are very nice and safe. I am glad that my daughter has chosen this place however I can’t come visit often due to limited handicap parking spots. I would love to visit more but the times I did visit I had to find parking away from her unit. I can’t walk very far. The times I do go, there is always a vehicle parked in the handicap spot with no disability placard. Even the loading area is occupied by another vehicle where I am unable to get out my walker. Hope to visit soon without the headache of limited handicap parking.

We moved into a one bedroom a few days ago and so far its been a great experience! The apartment looked better than I thought. It smells new and everything!! Ana was our leasing agent and she was wonderful! Its a quiet community and a convenient location. I would definitely recommend!

July will be my first full year living here and I can honestly say this is the perfect place! I have lived in various places in the Arlington area in the past and am usually met with this same problems I would say a lot of people can relate to... However, here at Chesterfield, right off the bat, everyone in the office was incredibly friendly and very clear about any questions I had! I never felt pressured or rushed and the application process was made simple.Easily one of my favourite parts is that the maintenance staff works incredibly hard to keep the place in tip top condition! The grass is never overgrowing, there are plenty of paved walkways and the public facilities like the computer room and pool area are always clean. Also, whenever there is a concern or something is in need of maintenance, you can fully count on the team to have it taken care of quickly! My AC started messing up during spring, I emailed the fix-it form and left for a few hours (not expecting it to get taken care of that day), only to return to the issue fully resolved! (:There is also a dog park on site which is too cute and my little dog enjoys this amenity when the weather is nice! This is such a cool perk.Overall, I am extremely content here and wont be going anywhere for the forseeable future!

Weve lived here almost 2 years now and I am very happy! Before we came here we had lived in a very unsafe neighborhood where our home got broken into. Moving here was the best choice wed ever made. Have there been a few break ins? Yeah sure but Im sure people leaving their belongings in the car was a reason for most of that. Ive only ever felt safe here. All the people Ive met are super friendly, especially the office staff. I wpuld recommend these apartments to anyone. Also the location is great. We live near everything! Love!

I have been living in the Chesterfield Apartment for a little over 6 months and I love it here. I had looked extensively at apartments in the Metroplex and something about the Chesterfield just stuck out to me. I got the Goldilocks feeling about it lol. I definitely recommend single women and families to live here. Very safe and quiet. The residents are friendly and the staff are wonderful. They are great at remembering your name when you come in to the office. Maintenance is fast and great as well.

**Final update: This whole situation never got solved and were having to move because of it. I will say however that the apartment manager Chanon was literally the only person who responded to me promptly and really showed she cared about our concerns. She was always polite and prompt. Its just a shame that the management company doesnt care as much as they should about the residents who were here before they took over. I changed my review to 1 star because of the ridiculous back and forth that had to happen with the management company. Unfortunately that tainted everything else. But Chanon was very kind to work with. Looking forward to leaving, but wishing her all the best.Unfortunately the issue weve been dealing with returned only a week later. While email and maintenance responses have been quicker, it seems ridiculous to me that the only solution currently rests on another tenant. Anyone who has lived in apartments knows thats not reliable. 2 stars it is. I realize its inane to keep updating and adding, but Im doing so in an effort to be completely transparent. So it can highlight both the positive and the negative, as needed.**Updated to add: the specific issue mentioned here was addressed. It took a little while to find the cause but the maintenance man who came was friendly and did all he could to find and resolve the issue. Ive also been getting faster responses to emails and calls. I look forward to this continuing. I have changed my rating from 2 to 4 stars.**I will say that the apartments themselves are very nice! Better than most we saw in the Arlington area and had this been a year ago, I would have given 5 stars. Back then the management staff was attentive and responsive. Maintenance staff was quick, thorough, and friendly.But the management company changed back around July or August (cant remember when for sure). With that change our management and maintenance staff all changed. Now its impossible to get a response from most anyone in management; email or phone calls. I am obviously aware there are lots of other tenants however, not even getting a call back saying our message was received. Thats common courtesy, especially when its something like the inability to use an appliance youre paying to be able to use. The only time Ive gotten quick responses is when Ive gone through the very sweet leasing agent (Im not sure of her name).We werent in a position to move when our lease was up and I really wish we had been. Which is unfortunate seeing as I really like our apartment itself. But having an unresponsive staff doesnt work.

My boyfriend and I have went through the process of moving in and signed our lease. I cannot describe enough how excited I am. First and foremost, the assistant manager, Ana Oldham, has been the most helpful and most kind person I have ever met. She ensures every single aspect of my boyfriend and I are taken care of. Best customer service I have ever encountered. The feel as soon as you walk in is nothing but positive and friendly. The manager, Mrs. Mazie is such a sweet lady. The proper is very kept up with and we are so ready to move in. Just based off of what we have experienced we recommend Chesterfield to everyone!!!

Unless you are positive you are moving into these apartments, do NOT give them your money!!!!!! They told me I had to pay ALL fees upfront in order to hold the apartment for what was only 2 weeks. My situation changed and I could no longer move into this apartment complex (mind you I never even signed any paperwork or a even lease!). They REFUSED to refund me the deposit or the admin fee which totaled to $400. I should have listened to the previous reviews I read that stated this complex was only worried about reviews and money. I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt because they seemed nice, but huge mistake!In response to what she said, the application said nothing of keeping the deposit (I did it online, so try that again). ALSO, it said nothing of keeping fees, especially the admin fee that they made me pay BEFORE I EVEN MOVED IN. AGAIN, unless you are POSITIVE you are going to move into these ugly nonupdated, looking like the 1950’s apartments, DO NOT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY. She’s a liar!!!

These are nice apartments but the manager that has been working here since they were made is more focused on the apartments reputation than being honest. The day after we moved here my car was broken into we went to talk to the apartment manager and she said thats a first and never happens at chesterfield. We went around asking neighbors if they saw anything strange around the time my car was broken into and a few neighbors near by said theyve actually had their car broken into as well. Which mazie failed to be honest about. The (next) week mazie had to leave fliers on every apartment door because 7-8 cars were broken into at once . I would not recommend these apartments because instead of her being honest about the break ins that were reported by the police at the complex she lied and said there was none and asked if I made someone mad as if that was why my window was broken into.

Ana Oldham was AMAZING. From the moment my girlfriend and I walked into the office we were treated with respect and top priority. Ana was able to break down each apartment type with cost and benefit analysis to help us choose the perfect apartment for us. Even after choosing a layout we thought would be best she allowed us to tour three different floorplans so we could make sure it was the correct choice. The service was above and beyond any other complex in the area and is one of the main reasons we chose chesterfield. One look at the new apartments and we were sold as well. With the floor, lighting fixtures, kitchen and bathroom additions it was far beyond what we expected! Totally recommend to anyone looking for an apartment in this area and wants a totally supportive staff!

I lived in these apartments for just short of nine years. Not a single rent payment late. My wife and I both lost our jobs, and for that reason we had to move. We gave notice with the property manager, and on move out in October 2017, we left, with our last stop speaking with the wonderful property manager, (at that time). We said a tearful goodby, and made sure all was paid up. (With the lawfull property manager at that time). Now we are getting calls from a collections company claiming we owe them past due rents plus interest. Now is January 2, (when we receicved the call) 2018, in the amount of $1,700.00 plus dollars. I informed the collections agency we did not owe Chesterfield any money. This is also notice to the management company, we hereby contest any claim they may have for past due rents, and may persue legal action should they continue . Signed and sworn by; Dennis L. Shorter.Update:1/8/2019, contacted Ana, the new manager, and while polite, she claimed her records indicated we owed the money for rent they turned over to collections. I informed her we did not owe and would not be paying as we were cleared by the previous manager prior to leaving. It is a shame thay property management will do something like this to a resident with years of no late payments, and are forced to move for reasons beyond their control.

Currently ( Nov-Dec 2016 ) a large number of cars are being broken into, security cameras are non functioning at this time, NO security during the break-in hours and teenagers and thugs lingering through the court yards, other buildings, and parking lots loitering during sleeping hours for most, but management fails to see this due to the security cameras NOT functioning at the present time. There is a vas majority of time where there are no poop bags to pick up after the animals . Also, when there is an issue with a neighbor the so called management is expecting you to confront the neighbor and try to resolve the issue. If the issue cannot be resolved by both parties, management is to step in and currently they DO NOT! When issues escalate to the upper management level ( I will not name names but she is well aware of who she is from Pace Management )-does NOT return calls. There is no longer a concern for a safe and pleasant living environment only that you pay your rent. I would no longer recommend this complex for women with young children like myself or single women. Lastly, the list of pets prohibited ( Dogs ) on the list for this complex is not valid. There are dogs over 50lbs, huskies, pit bull mixes, boxers etc currently living on the premises. Come one Come All now due to = housing.

Cars broken into, apartments broken into, dishonest will rip you off when you leave by keeping all deposits and billing you several hundred dollars more, pool shut down by city for health violations, they go up 40$ every year, no parking you have to park several 100 yards from apartment, extra charge for gate button, for covered parking, for everything, old worn out inside run down cheap carpet floors and refrigerators! Fire alarms dont work right go off constantly falsely, court yard lights dont work and pitch black and unsafe, explains all the break ins! Overpriced, dishonest, avoid like the plague!!
