Did an oil change and tire rotation, went home and checked under the hood...was missing the radiator overflow cap.Called and talked with the manager. He said oh, forgot to tell u that my technician said it was missing. I check all my fluids each fill up and I just filled my tank b4 going to Midas.It cost $8.75 to replace the cap. This is why I dont use these services because of lack of attention from these technicians from quick oil change businesses.
They try to sound like they know a lot about cars but truth is they know very little and with what they do know, they will try to use that to take an advantage over you. Who charges $300 for two oxygen sensor? plus labor
Everyone here was very helpful and kind especially Emily one of the service writers, she told me what time my vehicle would be done and it was done on time, I was very satisfied with the work on it, I will definitely be going back there in the future,
The employees at Midas are great. Gave me a coupon when mine didn’t work, we’re quick to finish my car, and very kind when checking out and dropping off my car. Second time going here and both times very happy with the service.
I have sporadically gone to midas over many years. This time I had a loud muffler noise. They gave me the $3k option and the $500 option. Happy with the $500 option. They got it done in a half day and now my van is quiet.

Midas of Appleton excelled at Customer Service today.We had just purchased a vehicle from a salesman in Green Bay that urgently needed brake attention for a locked up caliper. We limped into Midas of Appleton and they immediately took to taking care of us. They understood it was a serious safety issue and worked with our difficult still under 1000 mile warranty salesman to repair our vehicle. The tech that talked to the salesman was actually Rob Wanson - senior director who happened to be in the store that day! He and along with Keith Lundquist VP of division operations both even offered us rides home (20 miles) as our car wouldnt be ready till the next day.Jason went out of his way to personally take his vehicle to pick up the parts and Emily took great care of us from beginning to end.I will definately be taking my car back to them.They ALL went above and beyond in all aspects of customer service and truly took care of us!Thankyou so much everyone for helping us out in such a stressfull situation..you guys ROCK!!

I was visiting from out of town and my battery warning light came on. Midas Appleton got me in within the hour and diagnosed that my battery needed to be replaced. 20 minutes later I was back on the road. Absolutely awesome service!!

Gave quote and said they could get me in right away. Specifically said they had 2 techs standing there doing nothing. I show up 10 mins later and the price increased and wouldnt be available for well over an hour.The smaller place right around the corner was less than the original quote, quick and very friendly.

They recommended replacing a serpentine belt at 65000 miles and said there was wear. Subaru doesn’t recommend a replacement mileage and most cars need a belt replaced closer to 90000 miles. The belt had little to no wear. They explained that they are now directed to perform a list of services after recommending them. It appears new owners have taken over and now the mission is to run up the tab similar to what Sears used to do. I am a 12-year customer and never coming back. Also, no one was wearing masks or practicing social distancing.
I had an oil change two weeks prior at another business in Ashwaubenon. I was in Neenah and discovered oil was leaking from my car. New problem.I tried calling the Appleton version of the place Id gotten the oil change, and they refused to help me.I called Midas and spoke to Caleb who offered to take a look. He was able to diagnose the problem within minutes--the other place had not tightened the drain plug after the oil change.Caleb did a quick emergency oil change near closing and saved my day and probably my car. Midas has my business from now on.
They helped me finish a job I couldn’t get done in the subzero temps of February. I was able to get in within a couple of hours of calling them.
It took 4 days to fix alternator, they always had pity excuses why it was taking longer than usual. They told me the cost of new alternator and fixing it was $800, we agreed that I take my own alternator. With my alternator they charged me more than $600, which was ridiculous high just for two hours labor.
Caleb was amazing I recommend seeing him he helped me tremendously with awesome tires & alignment.

I waited over three hours for an oil change and a tire patch. Three days later my tire light is on again. The guy was rude when I called told him. He told me he would buy me a doughnut when asked what he does to fix a mistake. Terrible service. Don’t trust them with your car.
Had an appointment at 730. Took my keys and pulled my car into the shop. Saw the tech come in at 815 because he had over slept. Never apologized or let me know there was no tech here. No masks being worn. The associate in the lobby was unfriendly and was scratching his nose before he got in my car and drove it in. Ended up taking an hour and 15 min to get a headlight.
Quick service and did a great job explaining my options for my alignment.
This was actually my second interaction with this particular Midas location. First it was my Air Compressor and today it’s my ruptured break line. You guys haven’t disappointed me yet, The service is always great from beginning to end. They have an amazing team at this Mutual Way location and they know their business. Came in to have all 4 tires replace. 5 mins after I left my low tire light came on. Called and was told the tires were put on correctly. SMH I then called corporate not ling after that the manger called me. SHM What a waste of time there. Came in today to have them properly do it right. The manger had a attitude problem. I explained again that the tires were done incorrectly. She looked at me and said with a attitude we did your tires correctly. I informed her that apparently it wasnt because my tires light came on and had to get off with my son in the car and try to find a place to put air in. 2 tires wouldnt take air. It was losing air. The other 2 tires were at 25. Even after explaining this and more to the manger she still tried to tell me that my tires that I paid $740 dollars on were done correctly. Not once did they apologize for their mistake.
Send 18 y/o to get new tires for $160. They added an alignment for an additional $150 without disclosing this and manager keeps ignoring my calls regarding this issue
Was quoted an hour on the phone an ended up spending two hours there while employees sat around in the front desk area not doing any work. For future reference you should probably update your quotes to reflect and actual time frame to prevent people from getting upset.

Under new management!!! They staff is very helpful and will not mess around. Very clean and helpful. They take very good care of their costumers. We didn’t have breaks and we aren’t from around there but they got us out quick and were wonderful to us making sure we were taken care of before leaving. They even stayed a little late to get us back on the road the same day.
Dont know much about cars but Roman was amazing in explaining things for me. I dont know about the previous person but as a female, they made me feel welcomed and explained everything to me. Chris talked me through everything and my boyfriend agreed when he heard about it. I would definitely go back again and share with everyone.
We have 3 vehicles that have been serviced here for the past 6 months. The staff and mechanics are very friendly and knowledgeable. They run a very clean shop. The service we have received has always been fast, accurate, and at a very reasonable rate. They have always stood behind their work. We will continue to use their service.
Definitely feel like they work for commission Always trying to sell you more than what you need. Outrageous quote for brakes and long wait time for a simple alignment. Definitely will not go back and will spread the word about my less than satisfactory experience. 👎🏼

Made reservation and gave information about car(year, make, model) for an oil change. 1 hour after oil change/tire rotation appointment time, yes an hour after appointment was to begin, I was informed that my mechanic had gone home sick and they did not have my oil filter. Service took over 1 1/2 hours and there was nobody else in the shop waiting for service. Oh they did not return the locking lug nut remover to the glove box. Oh, they also did not put the sticker in windshield indicating the oil change mileage and date... so add 2 trips back into the store. I could have went elsewhere and had it done cheaper and faster. After complaining, the manager did knock like $15 off a $56 synthetic oil change. Manager also said that one should allow for an hour and 15 to an hour and 30 minutes for just an oil change. I had other things to do and their level of professionalism cost me my time and frustration... cant recommend based on this experience. Next time tell a customer you dont have the parts right away and how long it may be delayed. I could have went to Woodman and had it done for less.

Recently took my 2001 Suburban, with 300k miles to the Appleton Midas location, for an exhaust leak. They did the repair perfectly and for a very reasonable price. Since they opened this location, I have taken several of my cars and trucks to these guys and they do exactly as promised without price gouging like dealerships.I dont usually write reviews, but these guys have really earned my business and Ive recommended several friends and associates to get their service done at the Midas Store on Mutual Way in Appleton, WI. Im highly recommending this store for any service to your car or truck. They do only as needed and dont try to over sell, and the repair price is always very fair. Wish I could give them 10 *****s. Absolutely worst experience of my life, insanely overpriced parts and cocky mechanics. Told them clearly and explicitly to not remove my rear tires and look at/mess with rear breaks, and to strictly replace front pads/rotors only. 30 mins later back tires are off rear breaks are supposedly bad and my car has tons of other issues they only care about trying to lock you in to paying for more. Took my car to a local shop the later that day, turns out rear brakes are perfectly fine and my other issues are absolutely nothing. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HEAR.
I had a 9 am appointment. My car was taken back within 15 minutes and sat on the ground for 45 minutes. I was having the exhaust system replaced. The resonator and pipe was ordered and hear within the hour. The muffler was the wrong one from US oil and it took both nof the till 1130 to get things figured out...
I used to go to Midas when Willy worked there and once he left everything was so overpriced and the employees treated me horrible afterwards. I found out they were bought out by all new people. So, figured why not give it another chance and.... I’m so glad I did!! They helped me out with my car that was just not having it. I had gone to SEVERAL mechanics and they could never find the problems and these guys found it in a heartbeat!! It was amazing how hard they worked and the time they took to help me when everyone else just wanted to push me out the door. You guys did an AMAZING job and made it affordable!!! 😃😃 I seriously recommend that everyone should give these guys a chance because they blew my mind and made my car work like it’s brand new again!!! Seriously you guys, you deserve more than a 5 star for what you did for me and the extra time you took to help me! 👍👍👍 Again thank you for everything and I will be coming back again, but next time treats are on me for everything you did 👍👍
Very helpful, super friendly and a short notice appt without any complaints--SO WE THOUGHT! Until we found out the job we paid for, to bolt down didnt happen at all! They charged full price, confirmed to me they did everything that was needed to get me through a long trip easily and Id never have to worry again about the metal bar hitting the ground. On my trip I heard metal again. I took the car to a different Midas location and explained what had been done. They looked at me like I am speaking of a different car. Shockingly, they proved to me that the other location didnt do more than use some glue if at all which obviously came undone! They didnt want to pay their own company at a different location to fix what had already been paid for and what they lied about having done. So yes, from 5 to 1 stars! I feel totally scammed!

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Called and scheduled for an oil change and tire rotation a month ago. They did not rotate my tires and just yesterday my oil light went off. It has not even been 3 months yet nor 3,000 miles and the oil is low! If skimping out on oil during an oil change is a tactic you use to keep customers coming in faster, you’re dead wrong. It’s a really quick way to lose customers!
My normal mechanic didn’t have any open appointments so when my tires were being loud I took it into Midas, I was told I would need a whole new suspension, tires and alignment. Over $1800 in work, I told them I would get it checked out later. I went to my normal mechanic and he replaced the tires and did an alignment for $600. The suspension on my car is perfect. They will over charge you I also did an oil change with them it got me $80. The VW dealership is half that price. You will over pay here.
The two individuals I interacted with here were great! Very kind, honest, polite, and helpful. I actually stopped in because in the adjacent parking lot, while trouble-shooting a different stranded vehicle I came over to see if they had jumper cables I could borrow. Not only did they offer to take a moment to help, but they personally came over with their travel jumper kit to the neighboring parking lot. It only took 5 minutes, but was a huge gesture and example of how they do business. For my experience with this store, I highly recommend them.

I love Midas! They are honest and not pushy to buy! If theres something wrong with your car they will inform you. I only get my oil changes here but im sure I would give them a shot at fixing an issue with my car if something were to come up.

Chris, Sean, and Roman were all very sweet and professional. I went in for a transmission flush and they found the source of the grinding noise (back breaks needed fixing). They talked to me about the issue, helped me get financing to get the issue fixed today, and took care of the issue quickly. I recommend this place to anyone.

Took my truck here today. Had an oilChange and new tires put on. The mechanic did a great job, service was timely, and the tires that were suggested to me are awesome! Glad I went to Midas. Noone tried to sell me and thats what I like.Im a salesman....I can smell a bad lying salesman a mile away. Didn’t get that feeling here.Worked with the Manager Chris. Great guy, down to earth, got me in and out as fast as possible.
Read the bad reviews too... it’s true! First I had a 3pm appointment. My car wasn’t taken back until 3:30. Shortly after that they pulled me in back and on my NEW vehicle I had $300 of repairs needed. Then they kept calling somewhere asking for an oil filter for my car... in the end they ended up having it at their location in the first place. I waited over 2 hours for this QUICK oil change. That is RIDICULOUS! Just because I am a female don’t try to pull this bull with me. And to top it off. The man working the desk was rude. And very unprofessional. I will never give my visit to Midas again. Thanks for a VERY overpriced oil change.
I will like to start off by saying that the people that work there seam nice. I was happy that I was told a price I ok for that. but they never told me about the fee for Shop Supples. I was not happy about that. I couldnt get everthing fix that they told me. when I left i was thinking about where to guy told me the problem was. I got really upset because that is not where the sound is coming from. I also fee the there price are really high.I had a lot of people tell me not to go there. I want to give them a chance. Really nice people but I Came to just get 1 tire changed and took almost 2 hours and should have only taken about 30 to 1 hour max and they are really overpriced. They also tried to charge me for stuff that a didnt need.
The management and mechanics here really understand customer service. They take the time to physically show you what is wrong with your vehicle. They dumb it down for you but dont make you feel stupid. 10/10 would recommend and will return.
$1200 dollars for exhaust tires and brakes 6 weeks later the exhaust fell off the car rite in half,, Took it there today to have them fix it 4pm they told me the glue adhesive they used let loose. I said they should have put a hanger there so it wouldnt have shook loose in the center he said no that wouldnt work I said of course it would I said are you going to fix it,, he stands there smirking at me says no there not going to fix it.. I said $1200 dollars worth of repairs and it falls apart and you wont spend 5 minutes putting a hanger on and fix what should have been done, He says nope were not pulled the car out parked it.. I would not recommend them at all they do not stand behind there garbage work. Shame...
They don’t even deserve 1 star at this point. Took my car there they said they did one test took 7 hours which I was there for the whole time because I had no one to pick me up. Guy came out and said the test was very quick apparently. They said they supposedly couldn’t find the issue told me there was a “miss fire” some where in the engine. They first tried to over charge me then they ended up not at all charging me. And told me it was safe to drive. I got in my car drove away and the check engine light didn’t come back on. Drove my car it started smoking with no check engine light on. I tried to call and couldn’t get on the phone with anyone. I am absolutely ferrous and still wondering what they really did to my vehicle!
I took my 16 year old Toyota Camry to Midas to address a noisy original exhaust (having already had an estimate for the work from a Toyota dealership as well as having looked at after-market parts on-line). Everyone was very helpful and friendly. After about a 10 minute free inspection, they diagnosed the problem, but rather than suggesting an expensive complete replacement like the dealership, they suggested just replacing the resonator portion of the pipe by welding in a new resonator. The estimate was for a fraction of the cost that I would have otherwise paid and they completed the work within an hour, with a 12 month/12,000 mile warranty. My car is quiet again and the the welding craftsmanship looks good. Im very satisfied with my experience and would recommend Midas to others..

Was able to get my vehicle in right away and had the issue fixed within an hour. The technician walked me out to the shop and showed/explained what he was going to do.
I had suspension issues with my car, and when I called I was able to get in right away. Chris told me exactly what was wrong and showed me on the car what needed replaced or fixed right away. 24 hours later my car is running like brand new again!

They are amazing!! I had issues with my car. I was out of town and alone. They were very kind and honest. They even took the time to show me the part that they thought was the problem and what could be the issue. They had the perfect opportunity to take advantage of a female who didnt know her head from her rear when it comes to vehicles. They didnt and fixed the problem and I got home safely. I reccomend them highly!
This will be my last time visiting Midas. The front desk clerk is so rude. I have an hour commute to work every morning so put many miles on my car and need oil changes often. Every time I am there he is there. Treats me like a dumb female who knows nothing about mechanics. I don’t appreciate his condescending mentality. Doesn’t thank me for my business or even recognize that I am there often. Midas has lost my business because of this man.The front door was broken this morning and instead of apologizing for the inconvenience or explaining what had happened he frantically points to me to use the other door. Like I said, he is rude, unappreciative and a poor example for a business.

If I could rate this a negative star I would. First time coming here to get an oil change because I did not have time to do it myself. The guy at the front desk quoted me $100! for my 2013 Toyota Camry! Immediately, i knew it was way too overpriced and told him that i did not want to go through with the oil change. I set up an appointment at a Toyota dealership a few days later and ended up paying $50, half of the quoted price! Mind blown. I know tires plus employees get paid by commission, not sure how Midas pay structure works but after thinking about it, clearly his intentions were obvious. A serious word of advice for anyone considering coming here, ABSOLUTELY DO NOT COME HERE BECAUSE THEY WILL TRY TO CHEAT YOU!
Friendly and prompt service. Prices are slightly higher than others Ive been to but at least they give you a cheaper option rather than trying to force the most expensive one.

I have had horrible experiences with mechanics so I hate going to any auto shops without a male companion but Midas and Roman made me feel at ease even though there were more things found than just an oil change, they prioritized repairs, detailed list of what’s wrong and spoke to me as a human not a dumb woman, even showed me what was wrong

Took van in because of antifreeze leak, thought it was repaired. Noticed it was still leaking so I took it back in to get fixed and was told it was. Now I notice that it is still leaking antifreeze.
Had extensive brake work done in June 12, caliper failed in Jan 13. They fixed it under warranty. OK, fine. Same caliper just failed again (Dec 13). Is under warranty again, but as I took it to a diff.mechanic to be fixed so they will not honor their warranty in any way. Which is technically their right, but I am not gonna drive 15+ miles with severely impaired brakes, in the snow, to have them fix something theyve fixed twice before (and I couldnt have anyway as they were closed at the time). After talking to the manager and then the owner I made it clear I wasnt looking for them to pay for the entire repair, but to work with me and the new mechanic on the costs and to uphold their own warranty. The owner said theres nothing I can do ....ok right...youre the owner, you can do whatever you want (more or less), dont cop out and act like youre handcuffed. Someone who cares about the reputation of their business wouldve worked with me and tried to do something to make the situation right, they obviously dont care as theyve already made money off me. Very frustrating.
