I just had my lashes tinted and lifted for the first time and I LOVE THEM SO MUCH! I can’t stop looking at my lashes! The experience was great. Super clean and a cute little studio office. Each step in the process was explained to me, and I was in and out quicker than the appointment time. I would absolutely recommend Skin and Wax. Be prepared, though, to not get in right away. She’s so good that she’s booked up. But once you’re on her list, you’ll get emails with openings that pop up.

I have seen Cate several times for facials and lash lift and tint! She got my skin and lashes to look great before my wedding! The atmosphere in her salon is so calming and comforting. Cate also helped me create a skincare routine that I will actually follow! I always feel great after my appointments!

I had my first appointment with Cate this week, and I have to say her service EXCEEDED my every expectation. Lashes look great! My eyelashes normally arent very noticeable even with mascara, but after getting them lifted and tinted they really stand out and look beautiful!! The best part is that it lasts 3 months!

I want to preface this review by saying I did receive a refund for the botched service I received, after requesting one...even after the owner admitted that the service was not up to her high standards. I said I would not write a review but after much thought, the customer service and care that was taken for my entire appointment and after has literally made me ill. I have never ever received such awful service from such a highly accredited place in all my life- meanwhile, the provider & owner Cate continued to lay blame on me for HER carelessness. I am in the beauty industry and if I ever treated one of my clients the way she treated me, I wouldnt have business or referrals.I fully take blame for my tardiness. I unfortunately was stuck at a light for 3 full cycles and I was 11 minutes late. Cate was SO irritated (even though I had informed her via text as soon as this happened.) When I finally got there, she was rude as soon as I walked in and was beyond passive aggressive. I was receiving a Brazilian and let me say, facials might be her thing because waxing the lady parts IS NOT.She took me back to the room and said heres a wipe to clean up, just make sure youre clean down there. (I walked in with damp hair, straight from a shower, not sure if she thought I wasnt clean, but this womans verbiage is awful.)I laid down on the table and immediately felt uncomfortable, no music, just a cold sterile environment. She didnt explain anything just asked me to move around to position myself and began ripping away. She did the back area first and said I like to do this first to get it out of the way. She shouldnt be offering a Brazilian if shes uncomfortable with the private areas, considering she didnt even do the whole area, clean the wax off of it or anything. I was left with CHUNKS of wax entangled in the remaining strands of hair. (Yeah, its pretty personal.)Now here comes the fun part, she burnt me. Not only did she burn me with the wax and left very irritated areas of the lady bits, she BLAMED it on me. OH YEAH! She told me You just run very hot down there. so the wax wasnt cooling quickly enough for her and she kept spraying me with some kind of cooling solution, which burned. Couldnt get the wax off of me and even said at one point I dont know whats going on after a chunk of hardened wax landed next to my head.Well I do Cate, your wax was too hot, burnt me and thats why it wouldnt cool quickly enough. She was using a wax that wouldnt peel off my skin easily, didnt do it correctly and had me almost come off of the table from pain.Ive been getting waxed down there for almost 3 years, never in my life have I had such an awful, unfinished experience. There was hair left, burns, (couldnt go to the gym for 2 days!!) Had to get a nurse and another wax pro to look at it to make sure everything was a-OK. I had wax in my panties (had to throw them away.) She STILL charged me the full amount even though the job was NOT fully done.Now, here is the icing on the cake, I emailed Cate to explain how insanely unsatisfied I was and SHE CONTINUED TO BLAME ME FOR BEING LATE. Unreal...she burned me and couldnt finish a 20 min wax job (according to my regular waxers) in 40 min because she said she was more concerned with getting me done to be on-time for her next client. She also mentioned that when a client is 15 minutes or more late that she shouldve rescheduled me...well I wasnt.I emailed her back to explain that I was burned, etc and that I wanted a full refund because of how awful it was and she did refund me but without response.Stick to facials. Waxing isnt your thing.

Not your typical facial. So many extras with no feeling of being rushed. Heat applications and the aroma makes for the most relaxing and calming facial you will ever have! Cate is so knowledgeable and never stops learning the best and latest skin products and procedures. The product she uses is the best, dermalogica, and Cate is a licensed dermalogica expert.Takes time to attend shows and forums and uses the latest state of the art equipment and products. She explains her procedures and product and makes sure it is right for you and is always implementing new techniques in her sessions with you.I have been goIng to Cate since she started and she only gets better and better. You will be hooked after your first experience with Cate. I highly recommend Her to anyone who is serious about keeping their skin young and youthful.
