Ive been coming to Marisas for years, but today I went in and was given a very young gal as my pedicure tech, and it was the WORST pedicure Ive ever had. From the beginning, you could tell she was disinterested in the job. She was clunky, clumsy, and rough. She never asked me how I wanted my nails in length or shape, she just grabbed a grinder and did what she wanted. Not to mention, who uses a grinder for a pedicure?! She knicked me multiple times with both the grinder and the other tools and made me bleed. I finally had to ask her to stop what she was doing, so I didnt even get what I consider a full pedicure because she couldnt effectively remove my cuticles without causing pain! she also dumped all the dead skin from my heels back into the water she was still having me soak in. I mean, I know its my own skin but that isnt sanitary at all!The massage was a joke, but at this point I just wanted her to leave my feet alone. Her paint job was a laughable...its visibly buckled and there is paint all around my nails. it looks like a 12yr old did them. she didnt even take polish remover and clean it up!The worst part is I complained. I showed the lady who was checking me out the disaster and told her about the pain that was inflicted. She laughed uncomfortably, seemed to look around for someone to rescue her, said a hasty sorry and charged me full price anyway. I rarely accept freebies anyway and thats not what I was looking for, but some customer service would have gone a long way to make this better. But, sadly...poor service, poor customer service follow up equals a lost customer! I will never be back here and neither will my 4 girlfriend who usually come with me.

We had an appointment with a wedding party of five. Marisa did everything to make sure our party was happy with our mani/pedis. Even when the bride was not happy, she made sure to redo her nails and make them precisely what she wanted. She even told us we could come back to get any gems replaced that may fall off before the wedding. We left very happy with the results.Marisa also made sure to take the COVID-19 precautions to keep her workers and customers safe: wearing masks, sanitizing, plexi glass shields, and even had masks for purchase at the front.

An older lady greeted me; showed me to a chair that a young gal could do my pedicure. The young gal had major attitude- “uh of course you would Lee” (referring to the older lady that initially greeted me!) The young proceeded to do my pedicure…. I’ve never had a pedicure that hurt this much. To the point I almost asked her to stop. Between her attitude and aggressive technique, I will not be returning.

I called and the guy told me 5 minute, I arrived in 4 minutes and waited 35 minutes. I picked the gal polish not knowing it was double the price. The gal that did my pedicure was new and although it took a long time, she was very meticulous and did a great job. If you dont have an opening, dont tell me so, there are plenty of other nail places in town.

They were professional courteous, and made me comfortable for my first time there.

Lee is the best! I see her regularly for pedicures and she does an amazing job. My feet feel so much better after a massage and the polish always is flawless. Highly recommend.

This is the only nail salon I can find that does SNS powder in Anchorage and I love it! They do a great job and I think they are very friendly❤️

My daughter got her nails done here and they were actually pretty nice. I am giving a 3 star because they are so super friendly there and Marisa her self was so nice and helpful. The young lady that did my daughters nails was very sweet as well and we were looking forward to coming back but today my daughters nails started to peel off. She got them done this past Saturday (5 days) and 4 nails came off today at her school. I dont have anything negative to say, just spent a good chuck of change and now have to find another place with good customer service for my girl.

Husband and I had been here before would go before vacation for pedicures. Usually great service but not this time. Quality dropped drastically with broken massage chair that was painful to sit in, and the hubs didn’t get all his calluses shaved off or the rub down while my nails being painted, temps in the room were cool and uncomfortable and I had globby polish the girl helping me was clearly sick. Won’t recommend anymore.

Update: 2 years later and still loving it!!Love the ladies here. Always stop next door for a snack and then come here for a pedi! The chairs are the BEST and can always get a cute design on my toes. Its amazing how hard it is to find these 2 things! Comfortable and clean.

Marisa is so sweet! This place is very welcoming treats customers like royalty! Even children, I bring my 5yr old daughter in with me and they treat her like a little princess!! This is the only place I will spend my money they are so worth it, very clean, professional, quick and does very very great work in such calm relaxing atmosphere!!

Marisa has been doing my nails since I was in high school. When I found out she opened her own shop I was so excited. Everyone that works at her shop is kind and the place is very clean and up-to-date

Ive been up here in Anchorage for 8 months, I wont go to anyone else now that Ive found Wendy. My feet are high maintenance. Im unfortunate I have to have acrylic nails put on my toes. The WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! This place has under 4 stars for a reason! I didnt even let them finish my nails becuase of how rude they were. Making a simple request is a fight. Stay away from this place, its unsanitary and the technician are not skilled what so ever. STAY AWAY

Reasonable price, nails look great. I got a gel coat. Three stars becuase they were very rough with my cuticles; they were sore and red in places after the visit had to ask them to wash old skin out of some cuticle clippers a few times. They said they cleaned all their tools in the morning so theyre good... No, clean your tools after every customer please. And these were minor things, but he lady who did my nails didnt speak very well English, and there was polish everywhere.

Real talk, Don is amazing at full sets, but Marisa is terrible at it. Mostly everyone talks on their phone either FaceTime or regular call and it’s irritating as hell. They also switch between nail techs sometimes which is irritating because I prefer don and no one else.

I have been going to Marias since they opened. I have had all good experiences and will continue going.

Wonderful relaxing environment, clean and quiet. Mani pedicure was on point and nails look amazing!

I drive from the valley to see Thao Hyun takes me over an hour but its absolutely worth it.

Ive had good experiences before but the last two times Ive been in have been awful! One nail tech was so rude to me and did a horrible job on my nails right before my wedding. Another time the nail tech told me the polish was dry then when I got home it was ruined!

They never told me my nails were dry they were talking on their phones the whole time they told me they couldn’t do a fill on my finger nails! When I got home my nails were all messed up they were not dry. I spent $100 on two pedicures and they were both messed up by the time we got home I was not pleased with this place if the last few years I’ve been very disappointed I will not be going back here again Marissa is a very nice person and very good at what she does but her staff is not very good.

Came here with my friend as a last min pedi before our vacation. The prices were fine but coming from someone who has been getting pedicures since they were 8 & also went to aesthetician school, I know how a pedi is supposed to go. Not only did the 2 women that did our nails rush through as if they were super busy (place was not busy) but they didn’t even paint our nails right. 12 HOURS LATER & both of our toes are messed up due to amateur mistakes. Both women put too much polish/clear coat on to where they couldn’t dry properly...it was also extremely obvious that the women doing my friends nails was being completely lazy because she didn’t want to mess her own nails up. Honest waste of money & worst salon I’ve been to in the area. I only wish I could show you picture...

Been going to Marisas since I moved to Alaska in 2010. I started going there because it was close to my house. Ive since bought a home on the other side of town and I drive past a dozen nail salons to keep going back to Marisa!

Made appointment for Saturday 10am. Sitting here now getting a pedi and the person helping me is juggling two other people also getting a pedicures and she is the cashier. Its a shame, because the first time I came here six weeks ago I really liked my experience. Overbooking and understaffing.... I wont be coming back.

Ive had to come back twice in 1 week. Im here writing this as I speak, the pant on the bottom of my toe came off and they had to re apply the paint (Adobe color) and I spent about 20 mins for drying time each time. The 1st time I came back because their PAINT was over lapping eachother.

This is where all of my girls and a few of the braver boys go for nails and toes. Marissa and her group are fantastic and have taken excellent care of us for more than 8 years.

Very expensive, got the most expensive pedicure and they did not massage my feet at all. Massage chairs were nice though. Got a manicure with gel polish and the color was not what I wanted at all and the polish started peaking off 4 days after I had them done. The environment is nice and the staff wasnt rude, but wouldnt go back or suggest

Marisas is where I always go to get pedicures. They are very thorough and do a great job.

I really like this place...but be warned...an appointment isnt an appointment. I was scheduled for 2pm. I showed up on time and was told 5 minutes I waited 45 minutes for my appointment.

One lady worker was eating chips next to us, the lady working on my nails talked on her phone, and a third lady was shopping for underwear on her phone. They had the radio going and the tv and the temp was very cold. It was very distracting and unprofessional employees

Literally every nail tech in here is on the phone talking loud while doing nails and the owner is face timing and shouting at her screen. Just a wretched experience.

Staff talked loudly on the phone the whole time i was getting my pedicure. Paid $55 for a pedicure that was not that great. The place didnt seem very clean or professional. The gel polish they used on me looked like it was watered down with clear nail polish.

I dont usually like getting my nails done, but this place is really nice
