I highly recommend this Salon if you have natural black hair. I have attained my preferred bleaching done in just the first session, I also did not wash my hair for almost a week.Then again to think about it, with the other salon that I went to, I did not wash my hair for a week and 3 days... I just got an orange dark color. It took me 3 sessions with that salon to get to where Ive gotten with this salon in just one session.I am very impressed with this hair salon since Ive never had two to three people working on my hair, they even had two people thoroughly check through my hair to see if every thing was turning out evenly.When the folks there getting slightly busy with other walk ins, they still attended to me. 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰Its better than any other salons that I have been to far most and I cant describe the professionalism.This salon will be my forever salon ❤💙💜

This lady ruined my hair and I have bleach blonde hair. I asked for streaks and an under panel to be colored dark and she got it all over my baby hairs and ruined the front part of my hair and I can’t just take the black out of my blonde ducking hair so thank you for wasting my time and money and now I’ll have to wait at least three years for your mistake because you guys rushed

Oh my goodness if I could give them a 10 star review I would. All of my co workers and Friends go here along with myself. Everyone is so incredibly sweet and understanding and extremely affordable. If you’re tired of spending $400 on highlights like I am definitely go here Where are you will get amazing quality for a fraction of the cost. I always end up tipping at least 50% because the prices are so great that even when I’m tipping extremely high it’s still not even half of what I would normally pay at my regular hair salon. They take such good care of me they are always willing to entertain me with conversation and they are so inclusive. Just the best group of gals

Hreat customer service. Owner cut my wifes hair in little as 13 minutes. She had long hair, in the end she looks very great. Owner made her feel vwry welcome and associated with her the whole time she was getting her haircut. I recommend this place to all those who want their hair done with very little wait time.

They were very patient and did what I asked to be done with my hair. I have dark hair and had some deep red it it. I wanted it to be lightened to blond. It did take some time and I was happy with the results. This is the place where I will be returning for touch ups.

If I could give this place a -5 star I would. Not only was it not clean but there was someone else’s hair on the chair they stuck me in and their cutting stations looked like a teenagers messy bathroom. Cut my hair in less than 8 minutes which would take professionals 40 minutes. I was whacked in the face with my own hair while getting it cut and was a little aggressive with my hair. My hair came out staticky and has the worst chopped layers I’ve ever seen. Someone should warn there’s a full grown pig walking around the salon very unsanitary. Would not recommend to anyone.

They did a great job, I got my hair color done along with lowlights and it looks great!!

I went in to get some “lowlights”, I just wanted some dimension in my hair but I wanted it to look natural. I even brought in reference photos. I also asked for my layers to be trimmed but not short. I ended up sitting under the heat lamp for a long time and she did 4 other clients while I was under it and I was fine with it but I wonder if she was really paying attention. I ended up with bright blonde and dark red chunky highlights root to tip on my golden brown hair. I didn’t want blonde at all! Looks completely unnatural. I felt like it looked good at first but as soon I got home I noticed how patchy it was. It’s definitely not what I asked for. There was a huge dark red patch right in the front of my hairline and it looks like I got hit. I’m just completely devastated because my hair WAS extremely heathy and went down to my lower back. Now Im having to get it fixed (dyed dark brown and cut short) and it’s been a nightmare. I wish I never had anyone touch it! I spent a lot of time and money on my hair all for this to happen to it... be carful coming here if your hair is super important to you.

I have never seen a business with such nice and professional people. They accepted me as a walk in right away, and they have the cutest little shop pig (Roxy) that kept my husband company while waiting. And to top it off the cut was only $15. This is definitely where you need to go. I will be back again even if I have to drive from Fairbanks to do it.

LOVE DOLPHIN HAIR DESIGN!! I have struggled for a long time trying to find a hair stylist just to do simple highlights in my hair. I’ve been to at least 12 places in anchorage and none of them could do what I had asked for, till I came to dolphin and this would be my 4th time getting my hair done and it looks perfect every time I always have a smile when I walk out the door. Don and her daughter are very sweet people. Very welcoming, however, I can not recommend them unless you are going in for something simple and standard. They overbook appointments, and so are trying to focus on multiple people at the same time. This makes for very little actual attention to what theyre doing. She should have just told me she was not capable of doing what I asked. Instead, she completely fried my hair, leaving bleach on for far too long, and not even understanding what was needed to get me to my desired final result. My hair is fried, and breaking and falling out. There is nothing I can do to fix it, short of cutting it off. Might be a great place for cuts, but if youre looking for complicated coloring, go anywhere but here.

This is by far my favorite place Ive ever been to get my hair done. Dawn and all her staff are awesome and the prices are super affordable - I highly recommend going here for all your hair needs! It doesnt hurt to call ahead, especially if you are planning to get color done, to make sure they will have enough time.

Really impressed to see they recently hired someone who does a great shampoo and blowout. I’ve always received solid and very affordable cuts from Dawn, but it was never the “spa experience,” but it is now!! And for the same super low price. Was really happy with my experience.

My best friend and I have been going to Agnie to get our nails done for the past 10ish years. We went to her for all our proms, my sisters wedding, and I took my entire bridal party to her for my own wedding. She does wonderful work, and is great company as well. She got my entire bridal party done, and our nails looked wonderful. I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a great manicure. This is a great place to get a quick, cheap, haircut. The people are pretty fantastic even staying open an extra half hour on one occasion for me when I needed an emergency cut. Parking does leave something to be desired, and there is occasionally a pig wandering the shop. Otherwise, a fantastic place.

I love how the whole family walks in for cuts and they get us in and done with no problem. The 4 of us walk in they get us in, do what we need and out the door! Sometimes I get highlights and a cut and for the whole family and me it’s the same price as it was from a regular salon for just me! Dawn and her daughter are very experienced and you’ll get what you ask for. 👍

If you want a wax I highly suggest coming here!! did not get a haircut today, but I got the best wax I have ever received. I got my lip & eyebrows done. very good price, only $15 for both of them combined! the person who waxed me (forgot her name) did an amazing job. she took her time & made my eyebrows look awesome. she even trimmed them for me! lol. & the pig is adorable!! love the pig.

I honestly used to love going here when i was younger. But the way the salon is now has changed. Before Don would take good consideration of hair, but now she just does what she can to make a quick buck. So much has happened with my hair, from bad haircuts, to stupidly going back and getting bleach done again.I want to sue for negligence really.

A hair cut for $15 that feels like $100. You can tell Dawn is a total pro! I am extremely impressed with her. She got right to the point and knew exactly what to ask me in order to gauge what I wanted. Her confidence set me at ease and I was able to just relax in the chair. 20 minutes later I am on my way having been washed, cut, and dried. Great homey shop that I will recommend to all of my friends. (Also the shop has a pet pig named Roxy and she is amazing!)

Within my budget love the place. Only thing that is not the great salon experience is, they are always in a hurry. Love my hair wash experience, but not there. They are to quick and usually leave conditioner in my hair.Not a place to go to be pampered. But you get what you pay for. And its worth it to me they always do my hair like I like it

Dawn is fast efficient friendly and very flexible with her clientel. I myself have been going to her for over 20 years for foil highlights and loose perms for body and Im sure to grab some shampoo and conditioner before leaving. If I could give this salon a zero stars I would. I showed them the specific look I wanted and the results were no where close. I was over charged ($150) and they couldnt even blow dry my hair once they were finished. I think it was due to the fact I asked her to put toner in after the bleaching was complete. I thought that was standard. I had to come home and wash my hair again because there was toner left in. Claudia seems to be the only one there with manners and customer awareness. I was sitting next to a lady at the sink who was getting a perm and as the stylist was putting the neutralizer in her hair she sprayed me with it as well. And why the hell is there a giant pig in a salon? This place gets a negative 150 stars for thier service!With the price I paid for todays services I could have went to a salon that wouldve finished by drying my hair and making sure toner wasnt left in.

I love this place. It is very cheap in price and great in quality. I came from New Orleans and the cheapest hair cut there was $15, here I got it for $10 with a little wash to wet my hair. By comparison it should be $25. The beautiful daughter usually cuts my hair, she is fast, perfectionist and friendly. Most of the customers are ladies and for old guy like me they usually take me in few minutes. Unfortunately I am going back to New Orleans soon after I lost my job in Anchorage, but I will remember them as one of the best barbers experience in the whole 49 states. I recommend it for everybody, just try it once and you will be addicted. Ok, there is a little pig but it is very cute, clean, brightly colored and funny and actually looking forward to see it every time I go there, and get disappointed if not.

I go to Dolphin for my eyebrow waxes and they always turn out perfect. They know how to shape them well without taking off too much and theyre pretty quick about it too.

Absolutely ruined my hair. I asked for red and it came out dark purple almost black, I couldnt tell until I got home because they didnt even dry my hair all the way. My hair was butchered and one side is now half an inch shorter than the other. They didnt even bother to rinse all the dye out of my hair. Avoid this place at all costs!

Worst experience I have ever had! The owner didn’t even ask me what I wanted until she had started, and cut my hair in less than 10 minutes and absolutely mauled it. It looks shredded now and there are still random long hairs.

Got as far as the phone call to ask about hours. I called on speaker and my 12 and 14 year old daughter were with me. The second the lady picked up the phone you could hear her “mood.” I asked my questions politely, said thank u. Hung up and my daughters both said she sounded either real mad or mean. To me she sounded stuck up and like she didn’t want to be ther. This was yesterday, so we didn’t go in. If a business wants my “business” they need to have better customer service and not only great prices and few words of “theyre amazing. Super unimpressed.

This place is VERY unprofessional.While there (8/07/15) they had 2 dogs and one pig in the salon. DISGUSTING! Not to mention the dogs fought the whole entire time.Anyhow, I had light brown hair. I wanted blonde highlights and a few Carmel colored pieces to help blend it. I walked out with brown/black lowlights and YELLOW highlights. Dawn, (the owner) made me blow dry my own hair. It is cheap... But this place has really shown me you DO pay for quality! Would never recommend it.

Ive been here twice. The first time they chopped off 6 inches when I asked for just an inch off. They haircut I ended up with was choppy and uneven with no flow. My grandmother went to have her highlights touched up and she ended up coming out with platinum blond hair when she wanted caramel blond and she had lost chunks of her hair from them processing it too long. When she would say its burning or itching they ignored her. Overall terrible service.
