This was our 3rd time renting an RV from ABC. The first 2 experiences were 5 stars but not this past Aug. First, all the paperwork that was sent was lost. I know it was received because I was told by phone they had it. The checkout person was not friendly. It got worse from there. The 2018 Sunsetter RV they gave us did not have a working generator. They gave us a heavy portable one to use, that did not support the microwave and coffee maker together without having to reset/restart it. We had asked for a different RV but none was available for 3 hours...except for an RV with toilet issues. (You might need to put a stick in it to get it to close when you flush) We found the fan in the bathroom did not work and the side door did not open/close properly. It came open 3 times when we were driving(yes it was locked). We did report all of this when we returned the RV and also sent an email. An apology would have been nice!3 stars given because the RV was set up and waiting for us at our late arrival. Also the RV did not break down on us. Just so disappointed that they would treat a returning customer this way.

Look no further for your motorhome rental company! I had never rented a RV before but they answered all of my questions and were accommodating to my requests. As with most people I met in Alaska everyone was friendly. You can rent chairs, BBQ and cooler your stay too. They provide an orientation video ahead of time that is helpful to prepare our questions.The service and support lines were both very helpful.As a nice touch they even have a shuttle to the airport after you drop off the RV.

Very accommodating! Very friendly and amazing prices! Landed in Anchorage at midnight, and they had my rv prepped for me to sleep in with full power until they opened for business. Would recommend!!

One of the best RV service!. We recently rented a RV and they gave us a new RV. The price includes: Taxes, Unlimited mileage, Unlimited generator usage, Kitchen cookware, Linens and towel packages, No Cleaning or dumping fees upon return. Highly recommend ABC Motorhome.

We had a great experience with ABC Motorhome. With Covid going on we had to cancel our 2020 Honeymoon plans. We called ABC and they said they would honor the price if we wanted to try for 2021 and if we wanted to cancel in 2021 they would still refund our money but this would hold our reservation. We were able to go in 2021 and they did everything they said they would do. They were fair and accommodating. We plan on taking this trip again and because of the way we were treated we will rent from them again.My recommendations for RV renting are as follows in Alaska.1) Definitely rent an RV. See things at your pace you will be thankful you did.2) Rent a little bigger motor home. They are not that hard to drive as long as you keep in mind the size of the vehicle you are driving. Its not a car.3) Order food from a Walmart, Fred Meyer, or Safeway before you arrive and pick up once you get there to save time.4) Plan, Plan, Plan. It will pay off if you do your research but also plan some downtime.5) a 2 memory foam mattress pad is well worth the expense even if you donate it after your trip.

Terrible! Terrible! Terrible! The service was terrible from the start, 45 minutes to pick us up from the airport, what a way to start our vacation! Once we finally made it to the ABC RV Rental location the service and understanding of how to check us in and get us moving was terrible. Things to expect wrong with your RV when you arrive: Dirty (especially the bathroom), electrical problems (took all week to resolve with countless phone calls), torn or warn out drapes, smoke detector will fall of the ceiling, ladder for the bed above driver will not be secure (good luck kids), holes in the waste tube when you pump out the raw sewage, door to the camper is broken, wipers are broken, wheel alignment was way off, the vibration in the steering wheel was terrible, and many other issues. When returning the RV allow 2 hours, yes, the return process is that bad! Don’t bother to complain, they don’t care. After several phone calls they said they would refund $500, only refunded $250. There are several dings in the RV that they should have fixed with the insurance money they collected from previous customers. I wonder if they claimed the money and did not fix, is that or could that be insurance fraud??? If you are renting from them be prepared to pay for terrible service and a poor quality RV.

Strongly recommend not using this company. They rented me a camper and two of the tires were flat. I didn’t see it until I drove off the lot and I brought it back instantly. They tried to charge me to fix them.

One of the best vacations of my life. We went in the fall, so the fishing was not that great, but the scenery was phenomenal. Thank you ABC Motorhome & Car Rental for making this happen.The best part was the freedom. We did not have to check in and out of hotels. We were able to roam around and explore the Kenai Penninsula at our own pace, eat our own food...even food we caught. : )The RV was clean and comfortable. I love that they have a community refrigerator and supply table, so we did not have to buy staples like salt, or ketchup, or jelly. There were gallons of drinking water that previous campers did not use, left for us to use. And we left what we did not use for someone else. Nice!

Absolutely horrible experience, made the Alaska trip of a lifetime the trip of a nightmare. The van smelled horribly of fish the day after their air freshener lost its effect, when we complained they tried to charge us to fix it. There were also various other things wrong with the van and they refused to help in any way.

This place is a nightmare the owner is incompetent. We rented a van for a Veteran 501c3 that takes vets hunting and fishing. We specifically needed a van that could tow a trailer. After the 3rd van we got one that worked mostly. Until we hooked up the trailer which had no wiring. I paid extra to tow and they refused to fix it. They gave no option for resolution and finally the owner himself told me he would pay for my ticket for driving with no trailer lights. DO NOT USE

So far, one star. It took us 2 hours earlier today in the office to get the rental, which is long but it wasnt the worst part.We have had the RV for just less than 5 hours and the sewer (grey tank) is already clogged:-( we found the so called emergency line in their brochure and called 20+ times -- no one picked up, and no one returned phone calls:-(At this point,a) we have tried to drain the sewer for several hrs with no success.b) the entire RV SMELL LIKE SEWER.c) NO SHOWER, NO COOKING, NO WASHING HANDS.We have a flight to catch tomorrow, and are stuck right now. Will go back 7am tomorrow to ABC (an hour away) to see if they can fix this.:-(

Had some issues and they indicated they could not take care of until I return motor home so that was a disadvantage. But mostly good experience.

Did not receive the motorhome we reserved. Wait to check in was way too long. Time for the RV we have to retire!

These guys are amazing if you need to have a motorhome rental.

Planned a 7 night RV trip with our family this summer. Booked this RV almost 6 months in advance and glad we did! They sell out in the summer and they own over 300 RV’s! We rented a 30 foot RV for our family of 4 and would have been fine with a 24 foot but we also had two teenagers so the extra space was needed and appreciated by the teens. ABC provides us with a newer model RV with just 11,000 miles on it. We did purchase both the insurance policy and glass protection. I called our insurance company and apparently they don’t cover us under an RV since we don’t own an RV so make sure you check on your current insurance policy. Also there were 3 times that’s rocks hit our window so we got lucky but the recommended buying it and I usually don’t do it but I did for this trip. The RV has everything inside we needed to cook simple dinners and enjoy ourselves. They did provide sleeping bags but we bought ours too so I wish I would have know that. Our flight came in super late so we were told we could slept on the ABC lot in our Motorhome instead of a hotel. It was nice to have that extra time to get familiar with all the features and unpack all our luggage. Only down fall was the refrigerator wasn’t turned on like promised but we survived. Don’t plan on getting tons of rest because this place is 2 miles from the airport but the benefits definitely outweighed the noise. Easy check out in the morning and everyone was so friendly and answered our 100 questions. They had chairs, BBQ’s and ice chests to rent. They also had a table full of extras that you could take from. This was people who left items from their trips so we took some Bear Spray, paper plates and other items and we gave back a few bags of items after our trip. We stopped at Fred Meyers in Anchorage and stocked up for our weeks adventure. Dumping stations were super easy and at first a little intimidating but my husband figured it out. Returning the RV to ABC was as simple as ABC. It goes so fast and they had a nice gentleman return us to the Airport. Great service to wind up your trip. This was our first time renting an RV and it was super easy and we made some great Family memories. Can’t wait to rent again with ABC Motorhomes.

Why a 2? Good selection an decent pricing. BUT, so do most other companies. It is customer service. Very poor. They dont tell you everything and they are not always cooperative when you have a problem/issue. When I called about something left behind it was so sad, too bad and here is a copy of the fine print. In no way were they willing to help me and do ANYTHING that was not in that fine print. Sometimes you get what you pay for. Advise: go somewhere else

What a joke! I rented a van from them and it was full of trash. It smelled like fish. They tried to charge me extra to clean the smell out after I returned it too.

We have been coming to Alaska for years now and have rented motor homes at various places. This was by far the best experience. Our unit was waiting for us when we got there and stocked with blankets, towels, utensils, etc. We stayed the night in their parking lot as we arrived after closing and found it to be a bit chilly with the blankets they had given us. When mentioned they brought us to the bedding area and allowed us to pick out whatever we needed. Very well organized, no hassles and easy check in/check out process. Easily our best experience renting in Alaska.

Great experience. The RV was newer model with low mileage and was stocked well and clean. If renting RV this is the place, Our RV was wired with nice rear cameras and Bluetooth radio that made travel so much easier. We had great time renting from here, not to mention they were helpful and keep community supplies for free inside that you can take. Also to note they rent everything cars, trucks, RV, Travel Trailers, Cab over Campers, tow behind vehicles. I didnt know this before hand but next time will be getting an RV and Tow Behind car. I highly recommend this company compared to others prices this is simply the best. MY only nit picky thing as a camper owner three things were missing. Level blocks, water filter for hose, and a water fill up spout. ( last one is really just a convenience item not really necessary.)

After owning our motorhome for 8-10 weeks we found out our light connection for the towing system didnt work. We are military and needed to leave ASAP. I called ABC service and told them the issue and they got us in the same day repaired everything at no cost and we were able to leave right away. From purchase to service our overall experience has been great!!

What a great experience!! We flew in late and were able to spend the night in the RV which was plugged in and stocked with blankets, towels, sleeping bags, etc. The RV was VERY clean and well maintained.The check in and out processes were extremely easy. When checking the RV back in, the airport shuttle came right to the RV so we could load all of our luggage easily. We will definitely rent from them on our next trip to Alaska!!!

Every time weve rented from these people the experience has been perfect. Quickly get thru the process and explains the motorhome thoroughly. There was an occasion where something wasnt right and they quickly fixed the situation. I would recommend them in a heart beat.

Terrible service start to finish. Multiple times during my reservation process I asked to pick up 1st thing in the morning. No problem sir.. until the morning of pick up when I was more or less told although my rv was available I was not a priority bc they had other stuff to do. So my 8 am turned into a condescending 11 am pick up.I had also called as I was landing in anchorage at 4:30 the afternoon before to confirm, and avoid hiccups, I was told she would call me back in 15 minutes....and similar to my plans to rent from abc rentals never, it never happened.

Great place easy to work with. We rented 2 RV for 2 weeks. The only way to see Alaska. The RVs were in good working order plan a couple hours when you pick them up. Very easy and quick to return.

We have rented a motor home from ABC Rentals 9 times in the last 13 years and will again this year. The staff has always been pleasant and as helpful as they can be and we have always had very clean good rigs. The last time we went with 3 other couples who each also rented from them and one of them had an issue with one of the motor homes and ABC had a man drive out to where we were the next day and had it fixed. They refunded them a day for their inconvenience. Everyone was pleased with ABC.They pick you up at the airport and return you at no charge. (of course tipping the driver is a good thing to do). We usually rent at least a couple months before we leave and they send us all our paperwork in the mail.All the campers we have rented have been spotless and only about a year old. They have a free table with left over things other campers left behind unused and you can have what you would like...eggs, paper products, unopened cereals, mustard, bug spray etc, lots of goodies... The motor home is well equipped and ready to roll with everything you will need for your adventure! And, they have a big room full of extra linens and towels and let you take extras to use.For those of you that had issues, this is real life and stuff happens but ABC will take care of it and you the best they can. We have always been pleased with how ABC has treated us and with the Motor Homes 9 out of 9 times. We highly recommend ABC!We wish you as wonderful adventures as we have had!

Excellent place to rent an RV from. Would be a 5* but my RV was not ready when I arrived at 3am so had to sleep in the spare. Then took over an hour to get going as there was a fault on my original RV. However the one we got was clean and in excellent condition. Had a great trip and no other problems.

I rented an RV from ABC rentals, and was not disappointed. For touring in Alaska, driving and staying nights in an RV makes for an excellent experience. The RV I rented was clean and seemed to be well maintained. I had no problems with any of the RVs systems. The rental rates were fair, and made the decision to rent it instead of a smaller vehicle and multiple hotels an easy one.

If you ever thought of going to Alaska, the only way you can possibly travel is by RV. This is where ABC comes in. First of all, ABC had extremely good pricing and all their RVs were well maintained and were in good condition. We ended up driving from anchorage to Seward, which ended up being one of the best trips I’ve ever experienced. ABC is also only walking distance away from the airport and it’s very convenient for at night arrivals where you can sleep in your RV at the lot. overall ABC is definitely worth trying if you ever go on an Alaskan trip.

This company is horrible. Dont use them. They were nice on the front end and gave me a really good deal. However, when we rented the RV and drove off the lot one and parked at our first stop for the night the carbon monoxide detector kept going off and would not stop. We called the 24 hour service and the technician spent almost an hour on the phone with us trying to get it to stop to no avail. In the end we took the vehicle back the next day and chose to get an SUV rental. I asked specifically if I could now drive on gravel with the SUV (since my agreement for the RV said I could not) and was told that with the SUV you could. The vehicle was fantastic and we had an incredible time. When we turned the vehicle in it was dirty with road grime due to the rain every day however there was no damage. We had an early flight for our cruise so we left the vehicle and made our way for our cruise adventure. While on the cruise I found that many charges were being applied to our credit card by ABC. When I contacted them they stated that there was over $4,000 worth of damage made to the vehicle. DO NOT USE THEM.....I did not head the earlier reviews because it was hard to believe a legit company would do such, but believe me.....they will.

Had hi hopes seeing as this was my first time experiencing a rental.. it just seems 3 hours is a LONG time to wait for the unit to be ready.. maybe not.. I’m not sure... the verdict is still out for me.. i’ll See if everything inside works out.. TO BE CONTINUED....

Rented a 24 foot Motor home, making arrangements was straight forward. Wish they took as much effort making sure camper was fully functional when checking out as when you return the vehicle. Was going to give 1 star however the management did recognize the inconvenience and adjust accordingly. Returning the vehicle the person doing the inspection was a poor communicator as to how long I had to wait and what was expected. He was curt and flippant answering questions. I brought up concerns about dysfunctions with the rental, he blew me off, offering no explanations or apologizes. Overall experience was mediocre, not sure if I would rent again.

We rented an RV through ABC Motorhome. The staff was very helpful. Prices are good and the RV had everything we needed.

We rented a camper van from them and loved it. Their customer service was excellent. We could call them by phone and speak with someone right away. The towels and linens were folded on the bed of the camper van like a hotel. They have the resources of a big business and the customer care of a friendly mom and pop store. They really treated us like family for our trip. We will only rent from them.

June 2020We made an attempt to rebook (2nd time) with this company less than 10 months from previous.We had such a good time with this company and our 2019 Alaskan trip, we decided to return year after year from Florida and make this a yearly ritual with ABC Motorhomes, come to find out our enthusiasm was greeted with a 55% price increase with some unusual explanations, like we were actually getting a discount, We understand the necessity for business price increases, since we are business owners as well. However; to us, this concept of increasing price this extensively with a returning client defies all business logic. Getting a client to walk through a business door (business 101), is any businesses greatest challenge, but keeping or maintaining retuned business should be like slicking icing on a cake. Today we received a dry muffin. We wish this company the best of luck, they are obviously going through some troubled times. We ended up looking elsewhere and found a reputable company who’s pricing was within our ballpark.

It was really disappointing that David, the new manager, charged an additional $150 from me. Since I am a returning customer with a positive attitude and respect the rules, and rented a car at least twice a year @ ABC Motorhome, you could give me a friendly reminder to ask me to wash the car before returning. I was well aware that the car was covered with mud and I even told staff about it. She seemed it was not a big problem. On the contract, it stated, Excessively dirty car will be charged a minimum of $25 to a maximum of $150 which is an extremely relative term. You certainly made $150 for the company BUT you also made the company to lose A WHOLE LOT more in the future. Were you that desperate to charge for $150 from a returning customer without an authorization? Or, David, you are greedy like Scrooge? Please watch the movie and you will see exactly what I meant. You said, if I dont charge $150 for the car returning like that, the business would be lost! Really? Have you thought about how the business is lost because of one person like you working for them??? Do you even know how to manage for the business??? Think again! AND Think twice!!!If I were you,ONE. I would not treat the returning customer like that.TWO. I would not be so greedy to make such small money so I eventually lose a customer which is a big LOSS to the company.THREE. I would not ruin the business reputation only for $150.

These guys are AWESOME! I have been using them every year for the past 12 years. They are professional and they bent over backwards to make sure we had a pleasurable experience and trip. I would not hesitate to use them again (like we are again this summer)!

They just sent me an ad for 10% off, so I thought I would remind people - DO NOT USE THEM!!!!!!!!’ Ruined once in a lifetime family vacation. No idea what they are doing. Gave me a different (smaller) van than I reserved because trailer I reserved would not hook up to the van I reserved (based on their advice for a trailer). This was the result of waiting until I arrived to try the van and trailer together. Ten minute wait turned into 3 hours and we left with an old, dirty (inside) smaller van with a trailer. They gave me $600 off. But if you don’t want a dream vacation ruined, try someone else.I had to up my other reviews to place this one at bottom. Do not risk your Alaska vacation on them!!!!!!

Great service all around. Extremely knowledgeable staff. Great orientation to our R-Pod! One thing would be nice - more space at the pick up center. But they make it work!

Short staffed, which I understand happens, but very poor communication about the situation. Waited in a long line (and all my paperwork was done ahead of time) then was told I was up next - yet all the people behind me in line kept getting out the door first. I finally spoke up and was told your motorhome is not clean yet. assuming we can get a housekeeper in there soon, it will take at least another hour. Then the manager, who was standing right next to the poor overworked desk girl, snapped at me saying we will get you on the road as soon as we can, we are doing the best we can and are short-staffed. Well, duh! But I was being extremely nice. Already been here an hour and a half and it looks like I will be here another hour at least. How about a simple apology? Sometimes small things go a long way. Very unimpressed.

Overall very satisfied with ABC RV rentals. My son and I rented a 24 ft RV there for a week. The RV originally provided was pretty well-used and had some minor issues. I asked for a newer one and they did provide one that was much better.Unfortunately a couple of days into the trip when turning the RV around, the bottom scrapped and caused minor cosmetic damage. I called ABC and provided photos of the damage. They were able to estimate the cost (about $750) from the photos and added the cost, which I thought was fair, to my bill. ABC was easy to work with and I would not hesitate to rent from them again.

Useless customer service. Call for info, press two for sales, get the operator & she snaps at you when you ask a question, says shell transfer you to sales, you get part & service. ABC should find better help. Going to the Old Seward location not much better.

Very nice motorhome. It was clean, smelled good and well-appointed. We had some difficulty with the heater and the CO alarm.It was due to our inexperience. Unfortunately they did not answer the phone after hours. We had to go without heat in order for the alarm to stop sounding. Fortunately they supplied some nice warm sleeping bags. We survived!

Excellent experience! This most recent trip was our third time renting an RV with ABC Motorhomes. During this trip we had an issue with the carbon monoxide detector malfunctioning quite late after hours. Called their emergency number & Rick took the time to assess it truly was a mechanical malfunction and not a leak. We had traveled quite a distance from their location so they had a repair person meet us at our Campground between a very tight schedule of activities that next day to replace the detector with no further problems. Maggie was also very helpful from the initial reservation to drop off at the end of our trip! Would highly recommend them.

Quality rental motorhomes & vans. BUT, they will look over your rental with a microscope when you return & charge you for ANY damages even really miniscule.BEST PRACTICE: Everyone in your group needs to look it over & make a written list of damages & defects before you take the vehicle. Video the damages. Go over all damages with the company rep, while you film that review with the company person.Have the company rep sign your flaw list & save it. Protect yourself from their rental contract.

Rented an RV from ABC for a 4-day trip up to Denali. Motorhome was clean, workable, and easy to drive. Service at ABC was top-notch, and would recommend them to anyone looking for RV rentals in the Anchorage area.

I used to rent from ABC for 5 years, then bought an RV, drive it up from Mn & its been there stored for 15 yrs except during July. ABC have been gracious enough to answer our questions when wed break down or has any other problem! We always recommend them to family, friends & even strangers. I know the owner and one of their maintenance guys! Hes a very multi-task everything guy! His name is Charles! Been there for 30 yrs! Theres a reason why ABC has been in business so long,,, Great product & great customer service. They repair all RV s ....Rent from them, YOU WONT BE SORRY!MN MARY

Great service. Had the awning on the kitchen pop out come lose in the middle of nowhere. We had it repaired locally and we were reimbursed no questions asked. Removed a day off our rental on short notice and got that money back also. When I needed a lift to the airport after they close down shuttle after 5:30, the general manager ran me down himself. Plan on using them next year.

Half a star wasn’t an option...We waited in a 1 hour line just to be told to wait even longer for an RV that should have been ready an hour ago. They were short staffed the last time we came here and were short staffed again today. People behind me were getting their RV’s and they didn’t tell me as to why I didn’t have mine. There was one helpful employee who told us the truth about our situation in that our RV wasn’t clean yet and it would be at least another hour if they could get someone in there now...

We have had 2 great experiences with rentals from ABC motorhomes. We rented a 28 foot motor home for one trip to Seward. There were 4 of us and it was so comfortable. It was well stocked and the entire rental process was smooth and easy. The next trip, we rented a 22 foot motor home and it was a brand new 2017 Sunseeker. It was BRAND new and beautiful. It could have slept 6 comfortably but was also great for us and our son. Everything was well-stocked and everything worked. Again, the rental process was pain-free. Thank you ABC! Keep up the good work! OH, I should mention we got an Alaskan discount because we live here. It was a good value for the rental.

Don’t rent their cars! They charged me $120! We full filled the gas before we returned it! But you know there is a distance from gas station to their store. Because of a little gas did not full. They charged me 20 for gas and 100 for what fee?!提醒大家，这家很坑！能避开的请避开！别被讹钱。

My husband and I rented a 22 RV from July 22 - Aug 2, 2019 to celebrate our 40th aniversary and also was our 50th State!Great staff and the service was awesome! From the time we reserved to the day we returned the RV! Couldnt have asked for anything better! They were very acomadateing, we had everything we needed!They picked us up at the airport upon arrival and took us back for departure. The RV was completely ready to go (except food (LOL))Including: Bed linen, towels, coffee maker, toaster, pots, pans, measuring cups and spoons, all silverware, plates, cups, even a can opener-everything!! Upon returning we didnt need to empty our tanks(although we did), all we needed to do was fill gas, propane, sweep and pack our bags. They did the rest! With NO EXTRA COST! NO HIDDEN FEES!Thank you ABC for making our trip to Alaska so memorable and spectacular! We will be returning and using ABC again!! We also told everyone that ABC was the way to go!!Again, THANK YOU ABC!!! You are all AWESOME! and you also have a FABULOUS state!

We rented a motor home from ABC and it did take awhile to get our vehicle, but they were super busy that day. So we are retired so we waited. They were apologetic, but we did get a couple chairs and cooler to go with us and they offered other items as well. We finally got going and had a wonderful time touring parts of beautiful Alaska! The main reason I am calling is that the day we were to pack up and deliver it back to them, my husband had a minor stroke and we had to call 911. The EMTs told us he was ok at the moment but should get to the hospital. So he was checked into the closest hospital and they rushed him to get an MRI. The hospital was great. But as I was stressed out and could not drive the motor home, a lady at ABC said, Dont worry, breathe and get somthing to eat and do not worry about the motor home. That relieved some of my stress and we were still able to deliver the motor back to ABC that afternoon and they took us to the airport and we were able to make it to the late flight to Minnesota... They were super nice and we really appreciated it! There were no extra charges. Thankyou ABC. And we had no issues with the motor home, no problems at all.

Had a great experience with ABC motorhome rental. Only minor issues with vehicle, a small waste water leak that can be fixed with new gasket. I would certainly recommend them to anyone wanting to travel the state. They were accommodating at pick up and drop off, seamless operation. Provided shuttle service to me to return home in Anchorage. I will use them again.

We made stupid mistake during U turn on a small road and got some scratches. They canceled our reservation and asked us to come back to return the RV immediately even if we are a hundred miles away from Anchorage. After we came back, we are informed that it is not covered by insurance purchased from them. The insurance ONLY cover accidents on Highway not in parking lot or unpaved road! They never emphasized those terms when we purchase the insurance. Lots of limitation on insurance and It is useless. We need to pay all by ourself. They charge 8hours with $125/hour labor fee, $100 for materials and $1100 labor fee. Insane! Dont rent here! They dont cover small accidents!

The motorhome we got was very clean and well stocked. The staff that waited on us, David, was very attentive in helping us plan our trip. I will definitely refer them to others.

Came to pick up my motorhome at 1 PM like they said. I am here waiting for four hours for them to finally get to a motorhome that I rented. I have rented many motorhomes. This is the worst experience I have ever had. I just get excuses of how they were ready for this big rush, but weren’t really.ABC Is completely unorganized and unprofessional. Total lack of customer service or caring about wasting peoples timeEdit: The general operations manager gave us a full refund. He was extremely apologetic about our experience with their motorhome rental. He wants to make it up to us by giving us a better experience on our next rental. I may just give him the chance.The motorhome did give us a lot of issues some I had to fix myself. We were not charged for anything.

Couldnt have asked for a better experience. We have driven a motor home for 20 years, but never rented one. It was an excellent experience and a very well run company. We would highly recommend them to anyone.

ABC was great to work with. Arrived in Anchorage late and arranged to stay in an RV the night before. Ours wasn’t ready the next morning so they loanded us a vehicle so we could get to the store and get supplies. Got back and they were super busy but also so friendly!!! The front desk person decided rather than having us wait to just get us checked out and on our way. The return was just as easy and all the staff were great. I got confirmation right away that our RV was ok and there were no charges. Only missing a star because the windshield wipers were really shot and it made driving difficult in the rainy season.I would recommend them anytime.

Had the vacation of our lives for 3 1/2 weeks in Alaska driving one of their Class C motorhomes. Great staff. Even have cars for your last day before flying out.

They have always treated us good, about the best price for rentals in Anchorage. Only a four this year as they only had a short bed pick up when we always get a long bed.

Best deal in town just wish they had a little later return thou. they include a lot of things others charge extra for and the rvs were clean and late models.

Look over this companys reviews and make a determination for yourself. When every positive review sounds like a company-written ad, it probably is. Ill tell you my story with ABC and you can make your decision about whether or not they are worth your time. I planned a trip with my friend in January for mid-June, and I emailed this company to get a quote. I liked the price, and I called the next day to put down the money in full. They told me that their promotion to meet that price had not started, and to call back sometime in February. So I called on February 8th. They told me to send them a copy of the email, and when I did they did not return my call. I called again the following day, resent the email, and was told that the quote had expired the day before. Then they went out of their way to tell me what a big favor they were doing by raising the price only 50%. The incompetence, lack of professionalism, and arrogance of this company is astounding. The only positive takeaway from this experience is knowing that I learned how dishonest this company was before being liable for one of their vehicles.

Had a great experience in our motorhome touring Alaska. Motorhome was clean and worry free. ABC was easy to work with and accommodating.

The customer service was excellent, at cheap prices as compared to other alternatives. We were given a lot of facilities, utensils, bedsheets for the RV. Also, they provide free pickup from the airport, which is nearby to this location.

We just rented 2 RVs from ABC. They were helpful from the start. We planned our trip well in advance, since this was our families Dream Vacation. The RVs were clean and spacious. What a blast it is to be able to drive around Alaska going from place to place and not have to move your stuff!! Thanks ABC for being a great company!!

The rv was a new model. It was stocked with everything you could possibly need for your trip. Larry did an excellent job explaining how to use all the systems-potable water, generator, heat and air, etc.

Fantastic experience, the RV was clean ran perfectly. The staff really went the extra mile.

It was the first time I ever rented an RV so I took advantage of there state Fair special. I had no issues with the RV but because i wouldnt have the time to drop it off in the morning I had dropped it off at night. A few days later I get a bill notifying me that I was charged an additional $100.00 because I didnt fill the propane. I was outrage and called them immediately because I had returned it with a full tank of propane and gas. When I talked to an employee he had asked me if the refgerator was on. I was not informed I had to turn off the fridge or it would continue to use the propane. I asked if I could get credit back for it but unfortunately, according to the employee, it was too late to give me credit back. So basically I paid an extra day. I will no longer be using ABC to rent or buy an RV in the future and not recommend them to any of my friends!!

Information I obtained from employees who previously worked at ABC I can tell you that the staff are a little above street people, untrained and the whole operation is not organized. The owner is in his 80s and feels sorry for down and out people who want a job. I waited 90 minutes to pick up my rv, the orientation was by a person who new a little more than I did and the drop off was over an hour. Look elsewhere.

Rented a motorhome from these people. It took them nearly an hour to pick us up at Ted Stevens International Airport all of two miles or less away. Instead of the motorhome sitting our front, it took another hour to get one unblocked to the front of the building. They are very unorganized and unapologetic. Wouldnt recommend them for their unprofessional and highly unorganized business.

Very poor maintenance of vehicles. Reserved a pu camper but when we arrived they made some excuse why it wasn’t available. Gave us a 22 ft rv instead, which was a total rattle trap on the road. the pu truck campers are a better ways to go if you’re traveling all over Alaska. Much quieter-and easier to park and go places for fishing remote places.

When Great Alaskan Holiday let me down these folks rescued us. Great service and great prices.

Professional, helpful when things didnt quite go as planned. Very accommodating.

The staff here is under-trained. We stood for 30 minutes waiting for any progress while 3 employees stared at the computer screen unable to finalize our prepaid rentals, ignoring ringing phones and walking to the back room to grab sodas. Additionally, we were told to take a shuttle back to the airport instead of leaving with our rentals because they couldnt complete the paperwork in a timely matter. Edit: 60 minutes now.

Rented 24 motor-home from here, helpful staff, very close to ANC airport and they provided reasonable and timely shuttle service to airport, had some technical difficulties with orientation but it got sorted out quickly.

I see a really cool fleet of Motorhomes and RVs and very nice customer service, even sales promotions, all good!

Very happy we booked with ABC! Their RVs are good quality and the price was surprisingly affordable! They accommodated our late arrival and had the rv ready for us too sleep in on the lot. Even when we thought there had been a disastrous miscommunication upon arriving and not finding our rv, we were able to contact the after hours emergency line and speak with someone that helped us locate our rv. Turned out the tag with our name on it had simply fallen to the floor of the cab. All around good experience with this company.

Do not rent from this place unless you are a motorhome expert. We went to leave on a vacation and discovered immediately that the DVD player did not work. Pulled out of the driveway, and one of the compartment doors went flying open (it was very janky and we were concerned our luggage was going to go flying out down the highway). When we arrived at the RV Park, we could not find a way to power the RV. We called a tech and were on the phone for 45 minutes as he walked us through various things to try. It all culminated in the Carbon Monoxide detector going off and them instructing us to just disable it. We had no way to heat the RV and keep our kids warm, so we returned it the next day. They told us it was all our error and did not give us any sort of discount or refund. I would not recommend renting from this place unless you are an expert on RVs and can troubleshoot the million things that can go wrong all on your own.

I got there at 11:50pm and head to wait 3hrs to check out RV checkout took 1 hrThe pick up and drop service to airport is a little mess Had to wait for over 40mins for shuttle.Process are reasonable I got $119/night for 24 RVVehicles are old, in my RV wipers werent working properly, mileage was too low and was little dirty from inside, brakes were making creeking sounds

We’ve rented an RV from ABC for 7+ years for our annual Homer trip (& other summer trips) and its always been great till this last time. The RV was a bit shoddy this time (with some broken latches, hinges, inside door fell off, etc), though possibly because it was later in the season than usual for us. While rolling down the highway one of the doors on a storage compartment popped open and due to a poor design it was dragging the ground for a while until someone noticed it, thus it was damaged and had to be replaced. They charged us over $300 for this issue, stating that “it’s your job to make sure all the latches are locked”. I’ll admit I didn’t check that particular compartment after the initial walkthrough as it housed the jack & related equipment. We were traveling light due to it being a short weekend trip and the only compartment we did use was the big one in the back, which you couldn’t lock because the key lock was broken and only one of the other 2 twist locks worked. It’s a miracle that one didn’t pop open, though if it had it wouldn’t have mattered because it was a horizontal door. As multiple year repeat customers we thought they would treat us better, but they don’t care. We are done with ABC and will be renting from someone else from now on.
