We recently traveled to Alaska for our Honeymoon. The guys at Alaska Car Rental helped us out so much!! After not being able to find a car, They promised he’d find us a car. He did, and even picked us up from our hotel so we didn’t have to take a taxi. We cannot express enough how much we appreciated this business taking care of us.

I had a wonderful experience with Alaskan Car Rental. The owners were nice, easy to work with, and the whole process was fast and casual. Their pricing structure was very straight forward, and they did not try to sell us upgrades or nickel and dime us upon returning the car. Their shop is located just away from the airport (~8 minutes) but it is extremely easy to get an Uber/Lift both directions. Highly recommend for your time in Alaska!

They were able to accommodate us very last minute on labour day weekend as there were no rental cars available anywhere else in Anchorage area. Very professional and hassle free rental. All the major car rental places were out of cars. Glad I found this place. Going local and working with a small business made this the easiest rental Ive ever gotten. Owner was very accommodating and friendly. Quick easily Uber to the location from the airport.

These guys are great; theyre friendly, easy to work with, responsive and really care about their customers. I booked the car for 12hrs and about 12hrs in advance of needing it. They responded to my online inquiry almost immediately. Their prices are better than the other companies around. The car was nice and clean, very roomy. I didnt have any issues driving it. I will definitely rent from them again next time Im in Alaska.

Dependable, flexible, and reasonable. Easy to communicate with them the entire time! I found them on Turo, but in the future I’d recommend chatting with them directly. They had clean, nice cars and I would 100% rent from them again. The owner was nice enough to even drop us off at our apartment because he had some free time.

The car rental market in Anchorage is HOT HOT HOT.So why not rent with your boy Onder, who’s very cool and very chill. 😎Honestly, the rental process was painless. He walked me through the process and communicated the expectations of car renting. He even took off a charge for showing up early. Only thing I’d advise is to direct your drop offdriver as this place is hidden on a local road. (Use Google/Apple Maps)

Rented a car from Alaskan Car Rental in July, 2021 and was very glad I found them compared to the national car rental companies. The owner was great to work with and very reasonable on pricing compared to the national chains that were price gouging due to the shortage of rental cars in Alaska. Really nice car for long trips. We were a group of 5 with luggages and drove over 7 days in multiple cities. Car was very comfortable. Owner was super responsive and was quick to address some seat and AC adjustments. Will definitely recommend the cars.

I usually follow the rule “don’t go cheap”.That being said it’s a hot rental car market right now and a lot of guys behave like a “prettiest woman” these days.We stopped the process on the price negotiation stage and I’m giving an extra star here because they gave me a ride back.I ended up paying a little bit more in other place but I got a much higher class car.(it does make sense if you are already paying a crazy price for 10 years old Chevy sedan)

Onder was extremely accommodating to our group! The office is not at the airport but its a short car ride away, and Onder met with us late in the evening to pick up the cars. There were no issues with the cars and he was also flexible with the drop off time. There was extremely limited rental car availability when we visited Alaska a month ago, and the prices here were definitely the most reasonable. The office has no frills and is connected to an auto shop. We didnt get the newest cars (vs what youd see at a big rental car agency) but both of our cars operated smoothly for our whole trip. I had a wonderful experience with Onder and Alaskan Car Rental. I called to inquire about a city tour and touring around Anchorage. Onder gave me and my family a 5 hour tour of the city, Whittier Tunnel, Whittier, and Girdwood. It was better than the tours you can take with the large corporate tour companies because Onder is a local and knows better places than the actual tour company. The tour companies will take you to all the shops and tourist traps. Onder took us to the same places but if we had no interest, we passed by them such as the Ulu knife shop. Onder took us to a park behind the old submarine base in Whittier where we saw the Salmon swimming in the river after laying their eggs. Only locals know where to find this so we were really happy Onder could show us something this unique especially this time of the year. Onder is also vert knowledgeable and we learned alot about what it is like to live in Alaska as a local such as the amount of salmon you can deep net catch and keep (25 fish and 10 per family member!) I honestly think the tour with Onder was way better than any other tour I could have possibly taken in Anchorage and I highly recommend. If you call Onder for a tour, please ask for him to take you to the stream behind the old submarine base in Whittier to see the Salmon swimming in the river!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY!! They are dishonest and will increase your price ( Even if you made a reservation) The company said my price is locked and need to pay at the time of pick up. Later, they realize the demand and want to charge more. Bad bad bad!! I hope this company stops practicing unethical activities to potential customers.

What a great company and service! One of my daughters was getting married in Talkeetna and needless to say, we had lots of family traveling to Alaska for the wedding. Everyone was arriving at different times and durations for the trip. So, lots of rental cars were needed. All the big names in rentals were sold out. And if they werent they had premium vehicles at (gulp!) premium prices. We had no idea what we were going to do, until, that is, we found Onder and Alaskan Car Rental. Onder replied to emails quickly and efficiently, answered the phone when we called and ensured numerous cars were available. The cars were reliable and the price was much lower than the national brands (and we didnt have a mileage penalty, either). It was a great trip and experience, due in large part to Onders assistance. We will 100% book again with Alaskan Car Rental. Oh, one last thing....after we dropped off our car and were about to call a cab to go to the airport, Onder volunteered to drive us! Saved us $20 and was just one more example of the great customer service.

Excelente service, Onder was very helpfull, we drove his hybrid prius and we barely spend any gas on our 3 days rental, bare in mind we made it as far as Whittier from Anchorage. Cant beat that!. I give you 5 stars.
