Management team is very professional and understanding. I recommend Wyndha Heights Apartments 100%.
I have felt good when I moved in my unit because the carpet was replaced with new one and painted the wall newly. Although the property planned to paint the beige, they painted with the white that I want to. During Halloween and Christmas, there were greeting messages and candies from the property on my unit door and it was so touching. Good communication between the property manager and the tenant is the biggest advantage of Wyndham Heights Apartments. I am very happy to be with the cats in my unit. It is one of the reasons I choose this pet-friendly apartment. Here is clean and quiet. In addition, there are good things that the garage, the separated storage space, and the near bus stop.
The staff is very respectful,Robin Hohl
Maintenance people came up with a great solution for our problem and it looks great. So pleased with their work.
We have enjoyed living here over the past year. Our maintenance requests are always fulfilled quickly and the buildings are kept clean. Our unit has great storage space & having a garage is nice too! It is also quiet and mostly occupied by young professionals or grad students. I would recommend Wyndham Heights to anyone who is looking for a place to live thats decently priced and quiet!
The apartments are nice and spacious with plenty of built-in storage (a closet each in the entryway, bedroom, and bathroom) and decent amount of cabinets and counter space. My kitchen is open to the living room, so I can watch TV while doing dishes. I like the fact that each unit has an outdoor balcony or patio space with a sliding door. There is on-site parking, and wireless internet and utilities (except electricity) are included. Price-wise, it was comparable in price to many similar-sized apartments I looked into, and it was definitely the nicest. There is a CyRide bus stop on the same block as my building, so it is not hard to take the bus to ISU, regardless of the weather. The building has remained fairly clean, and I have not had any noise issues. Any maintenance needs I have encountered have been resolved quickly, sometimes even sooner than I expected. Pets are allowed, so I was able to adopt a cat from the animal shelter. 😺 The neighborhood is nice to walk around, being in a more residential area. I have felt safe living here.I have only a couple of minor complaints. First, in the winter, the sidewalks around the building, not just by the parking lot could have been cleared better. Some were very icy. The other issue I have is the laundry situation. The washers and dryers are shared, and you have to have quarters to run them (no other denomination is accepted). I dont mind sharing, but I would rather pay a few dollars more per month in rent if it meant not needing quarters all the time. Additionally, my building was short a washing machine for several months, and it was only replaced after another one broke. I understand that things break, but I felt like it should have been replaced quicker.*I was not compensated in any way for this review. It is my honest opinion.
This apartment is nice and quiet. It is located in a quiet safe neighborhood, far from the crazy areas downtown. It is located right next to two bus stops that run every 20-30 minutes to Iowa State campus. Only a couple miles away from the west HyVee.The apartment itself is nice. The rooms are big. The maintenance staff is great and very quick on fixes . Hallways are vacuumed at least once a week, and sidewalks are cleaned quickly after snow. Im glad to have a garage, especially in the winter. Its a little pricey for a single apartment, but it is well worth it for a double!
I am very excited to move into my apartment next week! It was the best price for the amenities provided that I could find in the area. Nice clean apartments in a quaint neighborhood and, best of all, very welcoming to pets! Im looking forward to having my own garage. Management is also really personable and kind :)
Great community for a young couple! We’re very impressed with Wyndham Heights Apartments in Ames. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick to respond to any emails or questions you may have. The community is quiet, clean, and feels like home. By far the best apartments we’ve seen and are happy to live here with our dogs (it’s pet friendly too!). Couldn’t ask for a better first home for myself and my little family.
The apartment is great for the reasonable price. The staff are helpful and timely in responding to questions. Even though its near campus, the community is quiet.
Overpriced apartments with low-quality amenities in a small town! It is not worth it! This property is going downhill like other posts. Dont believe the fake rave reviews.Roaches in the hallways and other weird bugs never before seen. A multitude of dead bugs pervading the floors and ant infestations. The hallway floors are dirty.Management raises the already over-priced rent with little perks.Terrible neighbors that are weird and anti-social.You can get better service with better quality elsewhere.Avoid at all costs!
Originally left a good review. Came back to change it despite it being a couple years since we left. When we moved in we were told we got a deal because the carpets werent replaced yet and would be replaced when we moved out. We moved out. And got charged for carpet cleaning AND removal. So not only did they take our whole deposit, but an extra $500. They also raised rent every couple months.
The agent that I worked with was very accomodating. I work crazy hours and she stayed late to meet with me to address my concerns. (UPDATED)* I Signed with the intent that I would not get a hard count on my credit and I was told that prior to signing the paperwork ( documentation showed my income etc.) I then got an alert informing me it was a hard count and I am saving to buy a house. I had a 5 star review but changing to 2 since I was either lied to or misinformed. She is still a great agent based on the assumption she was probably misinformed from the credit manager whether she knew it or not.
Great community, very clean & good maintenance help
I have zero complaints about Wyndham Heights. Living here was a great experience. They were easy to work with and any maintenance issues were handled swiftly. There were no bug issues and the laundry machines were always in top condition. I would suggest this place to anyone moving to Ames. Also, Cassidy (property manager) was so sweet and interested in knowing all the tenants. Other things to note: the property is quiet, the neighbors are basically other young couples (grad students or young professionals - some with kids but theyre not a noise issue), everyone is nice and minds their business for the most part and parking is never an issue. Last thing: the prices are extremely reasonable.
Pros: Good sized apartments with various sizes. Friendly, peaceful and dafe neighborhood. Maintenance requests prompt.Cons: Management is horrible. Over priced and try to dock fees for anything and everything.I lived in the apartments for 5 years switched around every year until the take over which was the last year I stayed there. Previous management was good. Since I lived in different apartments every year I had received (full deposits) and to pay deposits for each apartment seperately. Was not a problem until the last one in which they dectudected misc. fees for cleaning which they said they would not charge for if we left the apartment early which we did. Also they said they mailed my deposit check which never got to me and had to fight management for a good 6 month before they re issued the check docking the re issuance fee. ( I checked with the post office to see if they had misplaced the mail which they did could not help with since management did not mail the check with any tracking ). Even though management only said they have an internal number for mailing the check and did not have any record of mailing it.I had a good stay there until the last year.
Very clean and quiet. I feel safe and at home here
Reasonably priced, very nice apartments with amenities included, great neighborhood, friendly and helpful property managers!
Very slow and unreliable internet. Sub par property management that are very difficult to work with. Rent has increased by close to $300 in the four years as a tenant with no improvements to the property. Besides that they are nice apartments in a quiet environment. Went downhill significantly after the property was bought out by CIP.
A very quiet place with kind people, like most of Ames.
Although we requested it. We were not noticed prior that you will perform maintenance job that day. Usually we got 24 hour notice.
Again, I am satisfied!
Thank you for replacing my oven!
