The location is perfect with food options within a short walk. On top of that, being more on campus than some of the dorms even makes things very convenient. Maintenance is very helpful when needed as well as the front desk. All in all, the buildings are very cozy.
I like my apartment it is a good size and in good condition. Only thing I would complain about is the elevator being down and the door on floor 2 to the parking garage not working.
I like living here but they did a gorrible job of getting it ready for new renters(ME). Damages still noticable, poor paint job, and very dirty still.
Save yourself the time and energy. I have lived in multiple apartments and homes around the Ames area and Block One is by far the worst. I regret living here so much. To start, the water goes cold after one person showers. So good luck if you live with 3 other people. Something is always breaking and maintenance claims they “fix” it when they just make it work enough until it breaks again. We had maintenance fix our broken thermostat 3 times and they still charged my roommates and I $70 each for utilities due to a high bill from a broken thermostat that they claimed to fix. They will do anything in their power to NOT give you your deposit back. The charges when you move out are $50 PER wall that needs to be touched up (from command hooks, and the paint job is cheaply done so they will for sure take off paint) and they even charge you $50 more for them to clean it for the next person. Like I said, save yourself, pick anywhere else in Ames to live and you’ll probably have a better experience.
2320 has a wonderful environment for college students. There is a nice common area perfect for studying or just hanging out in general. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They can be helpful in any situation. I would recommend this place to friends!
I love that the location is right across from campus, it’s so easy to roll out of bed and head right to class! The staff are very friendly and happy to help you with any question or request you may have. The amenities in the building are great and I love that the apartments come fully furnished. I lived here for 2 years and loved it!!
I have loved living here! The balconies are my favorite amenity. Maintenance responds quickly, and the BlockOne staff is always really friendly especially when I pick up my packages even though I know theyre so busy.
I enjoyed living at 23 twenty because of how close it was to campus and Welch ave. The amenities that were offered for residents were amazing and great to use. It was nice to have washer and dryers in my unit. I felt safe with always needing a key to get in the building and using the elevators.
2320 is great. Super close to campus and the management is really nice especially Ghyzell. Maintenance is super fast too I’ll have a problem and put in a request and they will be here to fix it ASAP. Carpet could use replacement.
2320 is a great apartment with nice amenities, and it’s so nice how close it is to campus. They are quick at responding to maintenance orders and they are always looking how to make us feel at home!
Very nice apartments and great amenities! The gym is small but makes up for size with the nice equipment.
This place is close to campus. The staff is also really nice. This place is definitely a lot better than most. Can’t wait to sign here
Always friendly staff! the rooms are perfect size and love having own bathroom and closet!
Overall I enjoy living here, conveniently close to campus and businesses. I think a lot of value comes with the price, but like any college apartment it’s not perfect.
I’ve loved living here for 3 years! The location places me a pedestrian walk away from central campus!!
The location is nice. Wonderful staff and spacious rooms.
BlockONE Lied about a survey for Chick-fil-A false advertising and but of fraud. Mad I’m not getting my food.
Overall, I love living at 2320 with BlockOne. The rooms are a great size for me and my roommates. The amenities are a bonus and make the rent price worth it. It is a great location. A lot of my friends live here so I can see them whenever. Lastly, the most important reason why I like BockOne is because they have a great maintenance staff. They are quick getting the job done.
Moved into my room in 23twenty and the carpet had not been replaced like they had planned on doing. This means that there are chunks of carpet missing and carpet tacks sticking through that stab my feet. Also, it comes fully furnished but hopefully nothing breaks or stops working because they will come up with excuses to not fix anything and everything they can. Not to mention not a single staff member wears a mask ever, even when entering our apartments.
Awesome location, right across from campus
They have been very helpful in getting me started into being a resident there for next fall. Signing my lease and getting that squared away has never been easier. Super friendly employees and I’m so excited to live there!
Love this place, they always have fun events for free stuff. Been living here for almost a year now and I love the amenities and just having my own space! 10/10 Recommend this to a friend, super close to campus, campus town, and just an overall great environment to live in!!
Good location ! The furnishings are extremely nice, rent is resonance, lots of parking, friendly staff. UT is an older building so sometimes there are maintenance issues but staff is quick to fix.
I absolutely do not recommend BlockONE. Their management is horrible, don’t expect to get a reply from maintenance until at least a couple weeks and the place is a overall dump for being one of the most expensive places to live near campus. On top of it all, don’t expect to get your “security deposit” back because they will charge you for the littlest things that were already present when you first move in, and basically expect you to have the apartment even newer than what you first moved it. (Make sure to read the small print on the lease and to take pictures before you move in to fight the charges you may get at the end of the least). Only thing good about this apartment complex is that it’s close to campus.
Lived in a four bedroom—each of us had our own bathroom which was perfect! Great patio and clubhouse room as well.
Great location close to campus! The office staff is very helpful and it is nice how everyone has their own bedroom and bathroom.
This place is hell and let me tell you why. I have lived here for 2 years now and it was a huge mistake. This summer and last summer the AC broke. Last summer it took 9 days for them to finally fix it with me calling them all the time. Same thing happened this summer. And when I called the emergency maintenance number she told me she won’t call maintenance unless it is above 85 degrees outside. I explained to her that I was sleeping in my apartment and not outside, which it was 86 degrees in my apartment and still she would do nothing. Also, to top it all off, the windows are all sealed shut so when this happens to you, yeah it will feel like you’re in hell.
Loved it! Spacious and very clean. Furniture was great
2320 is a great place to live! Really close to campus, furnished, and they always have great treats!
Super close to campus which makes it great!! Also awesome to have your own room & bathroom!!
Lived there for a semester. Everything was of high quality. The manager, Mrs. Brittany Jackson was really friendly and helpful all the time. Best luxurious apartments in Ames.
Love living at block one!! The staff is amazing and super helpful!! :)
Great location with friendly staff! The apartments are super cute!
Great location and amenities but could make some improvements with interacting with tenants
The bedrooms carpet is super dirty when I moved in. It seems that its never cleaned after the previous owner moving out. The carpet is covered with tons of womens long hairs, mixed with lots little trash. Also after I made a deposit of the last two month of rent before moving in, they didnt want to delay my first month of rent for even 3 days. And I was rejected to move in with all my packages outside thats carried there from another city, until I had to borrow money from others. The only good thing is this place is very close to the campus.Update: This place is super noisy because of all the parties around. People cause trouble, such as breaking the walls after getting drunk and throwing trash around everywhere. But the best thing? 2320 charges additional $25 trash fee at the end of month to EVERYONEs bill. They dont care putting cameras in the hallway to catch the bad kids.Update 2: Finally something good to say about this place. We had a crazy roommate here stealing everything in the living room and writing threatening notes to others after getting exposed. With the crazy notes in hands, managers put us to a different unit without additional charges. New room is clean and quiet.
Very disappointed! Would never recommend, the ONLY thing positive is its location to campus. Rent is outrageous for broken blinds, broken nightstand, broken shower curtain rod, apartment was obviously not cleaned when the students moved in. All this was filled out and reported at inspection by occupants at move in, and still not fixed! Filthy hallway carpets and stairwells. Garbage in patio area overflowing. Work orders not addressed. These students deserve better!
Great experience and I loved the community assistant was great!!!
Love 23 Twenty! Couldn’t ask for a better location, building, or staff!
Great location and amenities!
This is a good place to live
I lived here for two years, and experienced a lot of positives and negatives while living here.First off, Id like to point out that Brittany Jackson, the manager, is one of the most professional and friendly building managers Ive ever seen. She was always extremely helpful and even knew me by name, which was impressive considering the amount of people that lived here.Pros:- Campus is right across the street from 2320, which is super nice.- Any time I submitted a maintenance request, it was dealt with very quickly.- Fully furnished; I didnt realize how under-rated a full set of furniture is until I moved out.- Packages delivered are secure in the office so nothing can get stolen.- Free 50mb/s internet and cable, never really had a problem with it except setting it up, luckily I had my own router but I could never get the building WiFi to work.- Friendly staff.- Each room has their own bathroom and closet.Cons:- Rooms are terribly small and unfairly sized; the doors open up into each other which takes up a ton of room and can get incredibly annoying, and your roommates might have a much larger room than you. I hated mine.- The provided mattresses are so cheap and uncomfortable that I literally slept on the floor my first two nights there. Bring a new mattress, or a mattress pad at the very least. (Full size)- RENT. $700/month might not be a bad price for a single, but good god, $700 for one tiny spot in a four-bedroom is atrocious. To put things in perspective, you and your 3 roommates could finance a $550000 house for what youre paying combined in rent here.- The building was built cheaply. The caulk and grout in the bathrooms is already breaking apart, the walls are so thin that you can hear outside (yes, outside) conversations all the way up on the 7th floor, and the doors are hollow. Typical case of the lowest bidder.- Speaking of thin walls, if you live anywhere on the East side of the building you will be awakened by a garbage truck very early in the morning. It has come as early as 3:30AM on a weekday before, which Im fairly certain isnt legal as far as noise ordinances are concerned. Because of the way the dumpsters are set up on the east side of the building, the garbage truck has to pick one up, dump it, move it, and then go on to the next one (of 4), then put them all back. The whole process takes about 15 minutes, and it will keep you awake. Not sure if this is the Foundrys or 2320s fault, but I would say the garbage truck waking you up is one of the worst parts.- Sometimes if there are football games, they will just randomly shut down the office, which I find ridiculous. Ive spent the money to overnight ship packages before, only to find the office closed. A minor inconvenience, but I wish they would send an email or something to let us know.- They will also shut down the patio area if others trash it. This building is full of Greeks, whom I have nothing against, they just have a lot of friends that come and disrespect the building and then those who have nothing to do with it pay for it when it gets shut down. All things considered, it was an okay place to live, but expensive.TL;DR: Good amenities, quick maintenance, friendly staff, close to campus. Building couldve been constructed better with thicker walls, rooms are small and designed poorly, and rent is high. Bring a mattress pad, trust me.
Apartments are overrated. service is mainly sub par. cable randomly goes out all the time on main channels like espn and such. layout of the apartments are also foolish. Im not sure who designed the floor plan but, the living room is the smallest area in the place. doors in bedrooms/ hallway open into each other causing issues with moving around. extremely overrated living quarters and extremely expensive. prices are double what they were now to resign when we originally moved in. water heaters are the size of a mini fridge. wifi is the only decent thing
Love this place and the service!
Great place to live!
Having apartment complex to live in. Super close to campus!

My son lives here.
