Dont waste your time. You pay for services that are sub par or dont even work. The undercarriage wash didnt work, which was the main reason I wanted a car wash today. I couldve cleaned the car better with just a hose.

Wow, the customer service and hospitality of the workers is exceptional.By far, the staff care and want to do everything in their power to make sure you’re satisfied customer. I would recommend this place for any car services as an affordable and friendly Iowan option. Beyond exceptional for friendly staff, car services and washes. Would recommend!

A good place to get a very clean and shiny vehicle. Down fall it seems to have a lot of break downs.

Paid for the $10 wash. When we went through the first time, something was wrong with the tracks and we were stuck in the middle of being washed. We were able to go through the second time to get the full cycle but only received the basic wash. Quickest car wash but not in a good way. Water pressure was low and we left with suds still on the car. Will not be returning and will not recommend.

The gentleman supervising the car wash is helpful and provides good service rinsing the vehicles before they enter the tunnel. Furthermore, the FREE vacuums are a great bonus.

IMO the soft-cloth type automatic car washes are the best at getting a vehicle CLEAN. Attendant pre soaks your vehicle, and you just sit back and enjoy the wash.

It was okay, back and undercarriage wash didnt work too well.

Got the top package for $12. It did a decent job. Missed the lower section on my front bumper, side rocker panels and in front of my rear spoiler. So, itll clean your car but dont expect a gold toilet in the lobby haha. I drive a 2015 mustang for those of you who may be curious about the areas mentioned. I attached a pic of a leaf that managed to stick after the wash and dry was over 😂

Online hours say open until 8pm tonight, yet the wash wasnt open/functioning tonight. No closed or out of order message was displayed on welcome screen either. Understand if you are closed, but I would suggest posting correct hours online to prevent wasted trips across town for people. Thanks!

Been here twice and the staff is so friendly and helpful! They power wash before you get a wash. He even gave me a free upgrade when my free wash coupon had an error.

Its pretty okay unless youd like your car to be clean and/or have paint on it when youre done.

If I could rate anything less I would. I spent 14 dollars for my car to come out rinsed. Sure they poured soap on it but it did absolutely nothing. Worst car wash Ive had. The guy who took care of the place was cool and let me run it through again but it came out as dirty as when i first put it in. Definitely not returning there. I purchased some bug thing for my windshield but seeing how the car was washed i doubt it did anything different.

The Tornado Wash has had multiple upgrades over the last year. The level of clean is based on the level wash you chose.The EF5 ($12) Wash will leave your car cleaner than any car wash in town. And free vacuums 24/7.

Please do not waste your time and money here.I asked the guy if I shall close in my rear view mirror before we start the wash and he said its not required.I came out the other side with one mirror hanging and bunch of scratches and swirls on my hood.I have a 2010 bmw325xi black.I filed a complaint and it took them 9 days to get back with a solution to proceed with.Horrible experience. Since then I have started washing my car in my driveway over the weekends . I am very particular about the details when it comes to my car...I cant take this kind of service.

Terrible car wash. Honestly it looked better before it went through because I expected it to be dirty. Charged an extra $15 to run the vacuum and clean windows. Windows are still dirty and interior is still dirty. I spent $28 for nothing. Dont waste your money although there arent many alternatives in Ames. Somebody needs to open a real car wash.

Dont waste your money. I could do a better job in the dark. Its definitely over priced when it leaves dirt streaks on the sides and soap all over the windows.

You get these washes for free if you get an oil change at jiffy lube first. The wash and free vacuum are great quality.

Man directing me into the warsh area was yelling and very rude. It was my first time to be there and try it out and I can honestly say itll be the last time.

Ive been there twice now and both times the attendants have been rude and impatient. The first time there was a person standing by the kiosk rushing me through and pushing the buttons for me which was a waste of time for both of us.During my visit today I requested a receipt from the kiosk so I was waiting for it. Apparently it doesnt work, which I realized when the attendant at the wash was clearly annoyed and yelling at me to pull forward. When I rolled down my window to let him know about the receipt issue he ignored me and walked into the building with me talking at his back.Better off to just get rid of the attendants. They clearly hate their job.

Just bought my new chevy Equinox last week. Looked amazing til I took it thru the wash at tornado. The damage to my car looks like someone took rocks and scratched it as well as the swirly deep scratches all over the hood. Tried talking to the attendant and he told me I was lying and that the damage wasnt from their car wash and that I need to take it up with my insurance company. I do not recommend this place. It wouldnt have gotten any stars if I didnt have to put at least one to leave a review. Now my new car looks like its been thru hell and back. Frustrating.

The fellow here personally pre sprayed my van to get the crud off before sending it through. Great service for an everyday sort of job.

Great place to have a quick wash for your car. Dont go except with a coupon code which bring the basic wash to as low as $3

$12 and 5min, thats all I spend here to get my car refreshed.

No prewash/ prep, left soap on my car, didnt get my car completely clean at all, dryers were crap. Would not suggest if you want to get your car completely clean, spend your money on soap and do it yourself.

Paid for the top level car wash. First time I went through nothing happened. Second time I went through I did not get all the cleaning features I paid for. Not worth the money. Take your business elsewhere

Very bad car wash. They stopped my dry time early and the car wash stopped mid wash so I was stuck in the wash for over 5 minutes. Horrible experience.

Cant leave zero stars or I would! They ran me through the car wash dry, twice! Apparently it had been malfunctioning all day, but they put us through anyway and it left scratches on the side of my new car! On top of that, they refuse any liability... car wash ended up costing me $150 to repair damages!

Dude put my money in the machine for me like I was a child, stood there with a sprayer for prep but didnt spray until I was mostly into the car wash, foam didnt spray out right, bugs on my windshield still. Dryers sucked

It is difficult to get the car on the track so you can go through the wash.

Spent $12 for the EF5 (Incredibly Clean) wash and it was terrible, I am not convinced that the back of my vehicle was even sprayed with water.

Literally every time I go there they say “sorry the car wash is temporarily unavailable.” If I could give this place 0 stars I would.

The wash is good, and there are a lot of options, but I think its kind of expensive for what you get, at each price tier.

The car wash scratched my car on the driver side very seriously . Never go there again!

Gave it one star because I could not go any lower....half the equipment didnt work, did terrible job cleaning my Jeep...felt bad for the employees who have to deal with junk for equipment...kept apologizing for something the owner needs to fix.
