I took my car here twice to get my oil change. I didnt realize that they changed my mileage on my car for when I am supposed to get another oil change. They changed it from 10,000 to 6,300 they never informed me they were doing this when I got my car back and shame on me for not checking the first time. Also my car was running fine with no leaks. After I got my car back they said I have an oil leak and now that I got my car back I now have an oil puddle under my car when it was not there before I got my oil change. I am never going back!

The brakes on my SUV started to make a sound so decided to take it into MidasThey did an excellent job from the manger to the mechanic were all super friendly very professional and Straightforward the best part was no pressure to get unexpected services done.

Amazing atmosphere and amazing service

A bit over priced for them to work slow. Sat there and saw alot of slow working personnel. They were gonna charge me full price to top off fluids when I can just buy a bottle and have alot left over. Before I left they mention an issue with my coolant and no more then 3 hours later coolant blew all over my engine. As a military mechanic I will not return and nor will I suggest the MIDAS in Huntington Beach CA to anyone. If I had the lift and tools I would have done it myself. No i have to buy a new part and replace it myself for 68$ and 1 hour of work all while they would have charge $325+ and took 3 hours.

They have serviced my 97 Suburban,for many years and everytime, it gets serviced the work has been reliable and an affordable price. I will not take my truck to any other shop, this one has some great mechanics.

Midas is a major brand. Huntington Beach is a major city.Basically I visited Midas for a break inspection. The guys were effective with their work and the price was fair. However: The outside looked shabby exterior wise, they werent busy,and the location made me wonder why the location wasnt looking outstanding,representing HB. The guys in the store were Very low energy,and it was almost like pulling weeds to communicate . No one introduced themselves,it needed a more friendly atmosphere and a vibrant customer service presentation. Id like to think of our city as a progressive, young, technological scene. In close, I dont expect Im sorry we didnt live up to your standard,but I would remind Midas of how, progressive and lucrative our community consumer is and how simple benchmarks would help your brand.

Went in for a oil change. They called saying I needed a new water pump, thermostat and timing chain. $2900 estimate. They said my vehicle which had no symptoms of a problem before dropping it off was not drivable due to the issues. I asked them to hold on and let me do some research before performing any work, including the oil change. Called an hour later after being quoted the work for $1200 elsewhere. They said oh we already did the oil change. I showed up to find my vehicle with a very small leak coming from the water pump. I drove it 375 miles to my mechanic who fixed everything and gave me another oil change within the $1200 because there was no way to not need another oil change with the work performed. I would not recommend Midas. They are not honest and are very expensive.

I don’t know how else to say it, but Tim took care of me! I brought my car in and had some work done for alignment which went smoothly. The next day I kept hearing a terrible noise and my AC had stopped working. I brought it back and he fixed it quickly the next day. Every time I ve brought a car in there it’s been quick and painless. He’s always gone out of his way to even stay late when I couldn’t make it to pick up my car. I’ve been going here for over five years and I’ve never been disappointed.thanks guys for the hard work🙏

I have been coming here for a year to get my oil change and now going to get a tune up. Havent had any issues and the guys are always nice & get things done quick even when I do a last minute drop off.

Great service! I was a walk-in and needed help installing a windshield wiper that I had previously purchased and there was a brief break in the rain! They assisted me immediately and installed it. They totally made my day and probably saved my life.

Originally I was thrilled to give my business here and found Tim to be helpful and friendly. However, yesterday I went for service and was told that on top of brakes and my oil change I would need a brake fluid flush. I had just had this done at this shop last month when I had the front brakes repaired. After waiting 5 hours I got my car and left only to review my records from last month to confirm the brake flush. When I asked Tim about it he told me it had failed the fluid test. Then he told me that had he looked up my record he wouldnt have charged me. I asked for a refund. Its been 36 hours with no word as to when I can pick up a refund check because they dont refund credit cards and the owner doesnt live in town.- Terrible customer service policyAlso the whole fluid thing leaves me with a terrible feeling about the work Ive had done there.- either they lied about the test and are scamming me or- they are using faulty parts and fluids and are scamming me.Lastly, they quoted me on other repairs I asked about and for a timing belt kit with water pump they quoted me fir $550 for kit/ $500 labor. I called around and they are $300 overcharging compared to competitors just for the kit!!I went from thinking I had found a wonderful, honest local mechanic to thinking Ive been lied to and stolen from. Shame on you!

Left our car with Midas to have it looked at for code p03040 - misfire on cylinder 4 on my 1999 Buick Regal GS. He called us up a couple hours later with a diagnosis of a cracked plug, and suggested minor tuneup...replace all 6 plugs - 1.5hrs labor. Okay, fair enough. How much would this cost? He tells us $320(!). My fiance was in disbelief and was asking questions to clarify what sort of work was being done.I asked to speak to him, and as I took the phone and introduced myself, suddenly the price dropped by $20 to $300 flat...I guess he suspected we were wise to him. I questioned his labor rates, and he said they charged $125/hr, which blew me away. Im used to paying 45-65/hr...maybe 75-85 on the high end for European import specialists and the like. $125 for a Buick at a chain shop was absurd. He told me that was market rate and to call around.After I told him wed be by to pick up the car and hung up, I did some quick math and realized at $125/hr for 1.5hrs labor, that came to $187...which means, he was going to charge us $110-130 for a set of spark plugs. The absolute most expensive plugs for a Buick at a retail auto parts store run about $15/ea...the average price is half that.Ultimately, with a single phone call to a Pep Boys two miles away, we got a quote of $125 for the whole job. Still a decent chunk of change for something I could do in my driveway, but was willing to pay a fair rate to not get my hands dirty.

Not too bad. Quick service. Not especially helpful in explaining invoice charges vs estimate and what made the price go up when less parts were needed. But the brakes work. Oh yeah, one of my wheel covers was not put on securely and is lost. So I will have to spend additional money to fix that.

I called to make an appointment today they were able to get me in within two hours which was perfect. Tim’s customer service was amazing, very friendly and upfront with what is needed on the car. Kevin fully checked my car for me and was quick with oil change and brake flush. I will definately continue to come back to this location to get work done on my Chevy cruise.

Due to unpleasant experiences with mechanics, I have always been skeptical when giving my trust to any of them, but the guys who work here are truly an honest group of individuals. I went to buy to tires and the service advisor offer to do the breaks. I told that I could come back later because I was in a hurry and he promised me that hed have done between 25 to 30 minutes. One hour later I was almost begging for my car and finally they brought the car after 75 minutes. I got late to my meeting and faced a heavier traffic because of that delay. I have 1 star for lack of honesty and respect with peoples time. I have two cars, used to be a loyal costumer but Ill never go back to that place again.

I have been a customer of this location, Huntington Beach (Beach Blvd), Midas Muffler for several years, and always had excellent customer service, until recently. Over the last three months, I have had (3) repairs to my cooling system, totaling $3091.95, in addition to brakes, air-injection valves, camshaft sensor, and an oil change, for another $1494.49. Total of $4586.44 over the 3 month period. Upon picking up my car for replacing the upper and lower radiator hoses, I noticed when leaving the lot, that my car temperature gauge was running hot, and I immediately called Tim, Service Manager, and explained the situation to him, as this was not the case prior to dropping of the car for service, he said that they had noticed that on the test drive, which was extensive, and there was nothing to worry about, as I was heading out of town the following day. Over the next few days I monitored the gauge, and at one time it climbed into the red zone of 260, and continued to call Tim, and he suggested that it was probably the gauge that had gone bad, and to bring the vehicle in, and that they would look at it. So I did, and had the oil changed at the same time. I received a call back from TIm, Service Manager, and he said that yes, he did notice, that even though the car had been sitting idle for quite some time, the gauge immediately went to 190 degrees. He said that it may be the sensor, which is roughly, $380.00, or the gauge, which I would have to take to the dealership (VW). I had reminded him that this was not the case, prior to dropping off the car, for the replacement of the radiator hoses, and that they (Midas) had nothing to do with the issue of the gauge. My point is that it was fine prior to the repairs, and not, after picking up the car. I picked up my car today from the oil change, gauge still not working properly, and left, letting Tim know that a was not a happy customer. My concern now, for safety, is that I do not know if the car is indeed overheating or not, and feel that my LAST experience with Midas Muffler (Huntington Beach), was less than customer friendly. Its very difficult to find a car repair facility that you trust and one that stands behind their service, and I thought that I had, and it appears that I was wrong. Upon leaving I noticed a sign in the office at Midas which read Treating others as you want to be Treated, which I feel is just words at this location, unfortunately I had to give a one star rating for this to post.I want to thank Midas Customer Service for reaching out to me in order to resolve the experience posted above, and to David and Henry, and the entire staff at the Tustin location. They resolved the issue with my car, and treated me like a King. Thanks, and although the location is not convenient to my home or place of work, I will continue to take my car to the Tustin location. Thanks again, Midas Customer Service, David, Henry, and all the employees at Tustin, Five Stars.

I wasnt sble to be accomodated due to the fact thay the person who was capable of fulfilling my request was out for the day 😕I waited 5 minutes for them to tell me i wasnt going to be serviced. There was a coffee set up but no coffee😳I took my car someplace else where all employees showed ip and the coffee was Hot and didnt even have to wait 😀👍

I can not speak to the quality of their work because our business relationship came to an end as soon as I realized that they were trying to rip me off. They wanted to charge me almost three times what three other shops quoted me for the same job. They desperately tried to make excuses for their prices, but when it came down to it they thought that charging more than twice the parts cost as anyone else was something they were going to get away with.They wanted $330 for a job that I was able to have done just two miles away for $130.

Had green coolant in after some work done somewhere else. Should be red/pink G12 Pentofrost, so ordered online, brought into Midas HB, gave me gr8 deal replace plus oil change. They even flushed 3X try to get the green out. Yikes! I hope my Anna doesnt require amoxicillin for her dose. Said tiny bit of residual green would cause no problem, and hasnt. May be better just to keep her on the Midas Touch.

They say that they will give you a free tire rotation with an oil change but they dont actually do the work. With that said you cant beat a $20 oil change.
