Absolutely love this place so far. I’m not a fitness expert but I recently upgraded gyms and wanted to further my fitness journey. I lost around 70 pounds and needed an upgrade from weight loss to genuine training and this place has so much equipment to do that with great quality ones at that in my experience. Employees are awesome and really really nice chill people, Ryan signed me up and helped me get an understanding of the gym. The place is very clean and very spacious! Amenities are great too! This place is awesome priced and amazing equipment.If you’re considering this place I highly recommend it.

My boyfriend and I really like this LA Fitness location. We live in North RB, so we are somewhat in between the Escondido and 4S locations. Although Escondido is a little further away, we prefer this location over 4S. The facilities are much larger and less packed, to include the dry sauna. The folks at the front have always been friendly, and the place has a pretty chill vibe for a gym. Lots of space and lots of nice equipment, which stays clean and orderly. The parking lot isn’t too chaotic either, which is a plus. No complaints here. Thanks!

5 stars! Gym has a lot of equipment I never had to wait for something! Ryan is the best and I got a pass to try out the gym from him. Would recommend going through him if you want someone personable and knowledgeable. He remembers me and says hi every time I’m in. Thank you Ryan!!

Melissa the manager continued to call me 4 times at work, when I did finally pick up, I was told bill wasnt paid by primary holder, and told that I was on a family plan but I was able split off and pay for my own. When I arrive to do this it was not the case. Melissa proceeded to tell me otherwise, as well as proceed to make myself look like a fool in front of other patrons and her staff. Melissa told me I had to cancel my membership all together and start over with the all initiation fees even though account was only 3 months old, I would have gladly paid my portion of the bill and continued to be a member at this establishment but I refuse to repay initiations fee when they were already paid 3 months prior. Melissa is extremely unprofessional and upper management should look into hiring someone with better communication skills at her position.

Ryan is the best! He is very friendly and professional. The gym has everything you need and it’s very clean. There is more than enough equipment for you to not need to wait for a long time. They are also nice enough to give you a guest pass for a long enough time in case you are shopping for gyms. Definitely recommend for anyone searching for a good place to go. :)

Wow what a difference a gym could make by the same company and based on management. LA Fitness San Marcos - Twin Oaks amazing service and care but El Norte LA Fitness wow!! so unflexible and seem only interested in you if they can make something on you!! Ill be working out in San Marcos LA Fitness - Twin Oaks. Management does make a difference in environment.

Pleasant staff, very clean facilities, but the pool is extremely dark but nothing can be done about that. Under present rules the pool has a 20 minute time use which swimmers either do not know about or do not adhere to because sometimes you have to wait and wait. 24 hour fitness has a reservation system for the pool and you can swim up to an hour with your reservation. I wish these guys would do the same.

By nature I have had a solid fear of gyms with all of the self talk that has kept me out of them for the entirety of my life. So far this experience has been positive and is helping to squash that fear. Surprise, everyone is in there to work on themselves and could care less what you are doing or what you look like!

Equipment wipe down could have been better. Staff was friendly enough. Didnt think it was correct to continue charging with limited availability and when completely closed. Sent an email asking that membership be suspended and to stop the monthly charge and received no response. Monthly payment continued which was totally and completely wrong!!!

Before Covid, the TV’s play an ESPN channel that plays 10 to 20-year-old sporting events. Asked if the channel could be changed to ESPN news, they couldn’t do it for me. After Covid, they were open a week, and I was charged an annual fee. Canceled my membership and told the manager that I didn’t use the gym for a year because of Covid, and I’m canceling the membership, so I will not be using the gym in the next year. I was told, sorry, that’s how it works. Also, I was charged a monthly membership after reopening when I was supposed to be on freeze. WARNING, YOU WILL BE CHARGED AN ANNUAL FEE A MONTH OR TWO AFTER JOINING THE GYM!!!

From my old beer drinkindays here in the parking lot when this was the UA8 movie theater in the 80s to bustin reps and blowin up the racquetball courts...God & the Life He gave me is Good!!

Visiting family in San Diego and need to keep up on our workouts. Everytime we come down Christian and Sean are great to get us set up on a guest pass. There is plenty of space and equipment to use and there is a great energy for getting a good sweat in!

I always get a great workout in and I never feel uncomfortable at this gym. Christian is always helpful and saying hi to clients. When I signed up he gave me a really good deal and was showing me it was worth signing up and I don’t regret signing up at all! I love the vibe at this Escondido location. :)

This place is always clean and always has amazing customer services from the check in, to the kids room, to the sign up desks. Best gym Ive ever paid for in my opinion. Would like to see ab roller and a bathing suit strainer/spin down for the pool area.

Showers are dark and need updating. Rust showing through the ceiling. You arent allowed to use the personal training equipment unless you pay for a personal trainer. This is some if the best equipment in the gym! After being an LA Fitness member since 2001, I am looking at other gyms. There are better choices out there I am finding.

I really enjoyed the professionalism from Brooke at the front desk. Very friendly and welcoming. This gym as a whole is very clean, cold water fountains. Totally awesome they have a gym bartender for your pre- workout, bcaa, post workout. So convenient! Overall a great experience. I can see myself becoming a regular.

Visiting from Utah and Christian let me work out. Great gym has everything I need. If ever I am back this way I will sure workout here again.

The staff at the LA Fitness in Escondido is amazing. Had the pleasure of working with Christian to get signed up for a membership. Equipment is clean and environment is a great one to workout in.

I like this location. The staff is really friendly. Theres a good group of regulars. And its not crowded. The classes are pretty fun too. There are a few weight lifters that can be obnoxious, but whats a gym without them lol. My kids love it here so far and say the girls are really nice to them, thats always a plus. Theyre all really friendly when I pick up and drop off my little ones.

Aged gym. Been a member for over 10 years and this location just cant seem to keep up with the much needed repairs.Womans restroom is disgusting.Sauna always is always out of order.Matts and Hand weights stink and are filthy.Cardio room leaks every year and stereo system constantly breaks down.

The staff is always there to help you if you have any questions and the employees who work at the protein shake station are very knowledgeable about health and fitness, if you have any questions they will answer it! I normally workout in the morning and it isnt extremely busy. Comforting place to workout and highly recommend for those who are looking for a upscale gym without having to break the bank each month for membership.

I’m so disappointed with the staff at this facility. Canceling membership. Will not be back. Don’t do anything online. Was being changed for childcare even though account was frozen. Since it was done online they are unable to reimburse. After arguing with (supervisor) she could only reimburse half. What the heck. For they don’t see online changes. Is what I was told. What? Why not?? Interesting????

This gym is great! Staff has always been friendly, they say Hello when you arrive... and goodbye to you when you leave. Great amount of workout machines, cardiovascular equipment, free weights, juice bar, basketball court, inside pool. Locker rooms are clean. Need I say more...

My favorite noteworthy offerings this particular gym showcases are:1. The leaky roof: easy to spot them by the discoloration on the ceiling.2. The waste paper can that comes out onto the gym floor when it rains where the arm curl machines are. Actually, one had to be moved because of the dripping.3. Cant forget the nice custom touches to several of the racquetball courts with the inclusion of CAUTION tape and butcher paper plastered on the viewing glass. Nice. Why? because of roof leaks onto the wooden floors, causing them to buckle severely.All the above have been features of this gym for many, many, months now, if not over a year on some of them.And fourthly, the carpeting in the mens, and possibly the womens locker rooms: carpeted, even the benches. Years of butt cracks and stinky feet embedded in the carpet pile contributes to the overall experience.Well done L.A. Fitness, Escondido. Thats why the 5 stars.

Love this place! Great place to workout.. They have a variety of machines to work on. The juice bar is amazing I love to get my protein shakes there after my workouts.

Favorite gym in Escondido. Very open feeling inside, rarely a wait for equipment. The staff is friendly and professional, especially Miquel the club manager. I particularly enjoy the large group fitness class when it is not in use. The price is very competitive with other big clubs. The only reason I cant rate 5 stars are the limited weekend hours.

Good gym, staff is ok. Small lockers out of commission because don’t have master key??? Come on, 2 wks? A lock smith could be out there in a day. Take care of business.

All the weights you need and 4 Raquetball courts to enjoy, plus a pool, Basketball court and class room for yoga and whatnot. Great staff.

I like this gym. Everyone who works there seems nice and friendly. Construction was done inside the gym, and it looks very clean and brand new now. I’m glad I have a good gym so close to my home.

Almost broke my back deadlifting with those new Hex plates. Wish they had round regular plates or even some bumpers.

The lack of customer service is obvious from the day you sign up and every day when you enter the building. In almost two years not one person has ever looked at me and said hello. I have to wait for the people behind the counter to stop talking to each other so they can lift the card reader. The ladies rest room is a disgrace. The toilet seats are old, cracked and funky. I opened a locker once and the door fell off the hinges. The showers are poorly lighted and they are usually dirty. The pool is so cold (81) I have stopped doing my morning laps. One of the showers in the pool area does not drain. What gross stuff is growing in that water. The ceiling in the pool has been leaking for over 18 months. The gym is so humid and hot it is hard to get in a good work out. Don’t bother to talk to Jayme or Cody. Don’t try to contact the main office. No one wants to be bothered. Go to another gym if you want a nice work out. La Fitness is like an ex-spouse. Got your money and now could care less about you!

The staff is very helpful. The shower pressure is really low. Its also one of the darkest la Fitness says I have ever been to. Ample parking. Kind of tucked away.

I was just there wanting to know my options as far as the membership. I came out of this place so disappointed. Drew was being so rude and unprofessional to my mom. Trying to make it seem like we didnt have the funds for it. We got up and left. We came to the one in San Marcos instead and let me tell you, Mike was so sweet and actually took the time to explain everything thoroughly. Thats how you should treat your clients.

Several times Ive been here for group class that was cancelled. This seems to be the one location that wont update the schedule online. Its frustrating because the classes are offered nearby but I find myself in a classroom without an instructor.

I have been going to this gym for a year and i have never had a problem with this gym. It is very clean and he trainers know what they are talking about. Very happy with my experience here.

Been coming here for 2 years now. By far the best location..the staff is friendly and helpful and they have the best day care crew out of all the locations in North County.

I go to swim regularly and have been told twice by a young employee whom works to closing that I have to get out of the pool 10 minutes before the facility closes.There are no signs posted that state what this is employee is telling me. As long as I make it into LA Fitness, Escondido in ample time to do my swimming exercises and get out out of the pool before closing time, why is this particular staff member trying to force me to get out of the pool before the place closes?Ive witnessed other times when members are still playing racquetball after closing time...5-10 minute window after...or other members are waiting for their spouse/significant other from the respective men/women lockers...they are not being told what Ive been told by this employee. This comes across as an inconsistent LA Fitness policy.I paid my membership in advance/full for 3 years and at a minimum expect to be able to exercise up until closing.I dont appreciate being singled by this employee who seems to want to close the facility before it closes...maybe has other plans elsewhere at the expense of imposing unreasonable direction and while inconveniencing a LA Fitness member whom they are there to serve...not the other way around.

It is usually not too busy. The floors in the bathroom could use a good cleaning and the towel dispensers are often empty.

Front counter personnel could use a lesson in customer service...not to friendly. Other than them, the gym is decent.

I like the fact that its not a busy gym. I joined because of that very reason. I work out late because of work and I wasnt told the exact time the gym closed until AFTER I purchased my membership. I was just told they stay open really late. Then I went to workout on Friday of the same week I joined then I was told that they close at 9:00pm. The hours suck and I am canceling my membership. Plan on joining a gym that offers 24 hours....

Tired Gym. Not everything is accessible. You will get kicked out of the studio in the middle of a training session for a class. Not convent at all for schedule. Currently looking for new gym.

I wish all people would re stack their weights. Its hard for us small women to un- load a gigantic wheel of weight. The staff does nothing about it. I have asked many time. Thats one reason why I left for a year.

Indoor heated pool, various equipment, fitness classes, basketball court, trainers if you want. Weights, fitness machines do vary with the different locations. Early and late hours.

Terrible customer service. Staff cares more about making a buck then taking care of customers. Facility is clean and well kept, but personally that doesnt outweigh the poor customer service. Your money is better spent elsewhere.

Around rush hour mostly all machines are taken no space to work out some staff is chillen kinda worth the price, hours really suck tho only open till 10

Love this place, but try and schedule your start and stop time before or after the swim class because the locker room gets congested and very wet floors!

Confused. My wife and I were looking to get memberships here because both online and on the official website stated that the gym opened at 4am. But according to Michael the sales representative it was 5am. Hmm..not sure thats right Michael I said. He replies No, we open at 5, I dont know where youre getting this information. This goes back and forth for no reason because they open at 4am just like the website said. Wow talk about great customer service. Guess we shall check out 24 hour fitness!

Usually I can access equipment quickly...not as many people camp out on the machines as some gyms.

My home gym.....anything I need the staff is stupendous.....friendly and double friendly

Need new dumbbells. They remodeled the gym with new hex plates but not the dumbbells.

I just go at this gym on Saturdays morning for Veronicas water classes because it worth! Its a complete workout head to toe. And very relaxing too .

Very dissatisfied with the fact that you pay 30ish bucks a month, not counting the annual fees, and after all that money THEY DONT HAVE TOWELS.That should be enough. They have whats called a monopsony in microeconomics and like all other gyms that have this captive market will end up losing over time as others find better gyms that offer more of the little things. Like freaking towels - cheapskates.

This place is super close to me and I havent had any issues. They have recently remodeled and the gym looks nice! Going swimming tmrw morning.

Mens locker room is in a bad shape. Trash bins are full and maintenance seems to be in a sad state of affairs at this facility. I dont recommend this location.

Everything started at this club..My second home.

Went to Escondido and asked for a day pass. The guy told me it wasa bad way to go bacause it cost 25 dollars and gave me horrible sales pitch that was hard sell. This was a lie.After I refused all of his exorbadent offers he said he could give mr month by month deal. I could pay when I came in but he had do have a credit card. He said he wouldnt bill it and it was a formality. Well, I never once went to the club and they kept billing me 45 dollars a month. I tried to cancell and they said I had to contact corporate. I did and they refused to cancell and said I must go back to the club. I did and they said they had to gove me a person too contact at corporate I asked them to cancell, but they kept billing my card. I finally had to call the freud department and stop payment. They then called me and offered to cancell the charges. They lied I am now getting bills from them. Now they are going to send me to collection for something I never wanted. Stay away from this place - they are like the Mafia - Once you join, you can never get out.
