This place is so fast and they do a wonderful job. I go here all of the time and everytime they do exactly what I ask and its always so cute.

Was a cute little place. I went with a friend and her nails were gorgeous! I however was not so lucky. The man who did my nails was not very nice and it was obvious he didn’t want to be there. He was very rough with the grinder thing and even made me bleed a little. He didn’t really bother to clean up the extra dip powder that stuck my fingers and I had to pick it off later. My nails turned out alright, ig it was what I asked for, but it definitely wasn’t the best experience.

Awesome took care of my daughter and I well and gave us great nails.

Its ok. Didnt quit get the service I wanted. Good enough for now. They were very busy. Want very cool inside.

Staff was friendly, pedicure was decent. Gel manicure was not as sharp as I would like. Bumps on the top which are visible and lumps on the side where the edge is not smooth. There is a bubble in one of the nails. After filing the sides myself they look much better, but I had to fight the urge to just peal everything off. I dont know if it was the specific person I had but I will be unlikely to go back any time soon.

They do a really good job and absolutely friendly. This is the only place i come to get my mails done! But im here RIGHT NOW BC THE WEBSITE SAYS THEY OPEN AT 10AM AND THEY ARE NOT OPEN!!! CHANGE THE TIME OR BE ON TIME!!

We went in for a a walk in appointment and they said it could be an hour wait, so we went shopping in the mall for a little bit. They said they would call when our appointment time was open. They never called but we went back by and they were taking other walk ins on the spot. I approached the desk to ask when our appointment would be and their explanation was that they had “regulars” that they couldn’t afford to lose if they would take us before them. I will never recommend this place nor will I give them any of my money. Very very rude!!!!!

I just went there my first time I loved my nails they turns out good she only burnt me once with her tool things and she was nice said sorry at least noticed whats she did unlike were I usually go

My nails have never been so crooked. Every nail is a different shape. She rushed to get them done literally my fill took 20 mins. Don’t take people if your going to rush.

I like that they get you in quickly and the prices are good

The lady that did my nails was rude. My nails looked awful..uneven and lumpy. Never filed my feet either. Terrible experience. Complete waste of money and time!

I went in for a fill in on my gel nails. As she was taking off the old gel polish she was pulling backwards on my nails I pulled my hand away from her twice and told her that hurts! She giggles and continues on. I made sure my cuticles were pushed back so they could fill them back as much as possible two days later it looks like their a week grown out. She charged me 45$ for a fill-in no designs just gel nail fill in. Horrible experience I will never go back!!!!

They dont do too bad with nails. They dont always listen to what you want, but they do a good job with freehand designs. I dont like that they talk so quiet and get upset when you cant hear them, then they start talking to each other in their native language. It makes me uncomfortable. But I have gone there many times and will probably go again.

My two friends and I made an appointment and we have been waiting for over an hour. There is one girl here and she is SO RUDE. My friend asked for red under hers nails and the girl said NO immediately. There one girl is doing the three of us. Very unprofessional, unfriendly, and behind on schedule every time I’ve been here. I will never come back.

Only thing I didnt like was they didnt have pink glow acrylic powder.

Will never go here again, not only did it take an hour before they actually called me and my sister to get our nails done, the lady was so rude I sat down and she did not disinfect anything after she used very profound language and telling me that the lady before me was very sick . When I called and first walked in they said $40 each for me and my sister and then when we went to pay they said $90, last time I checked 40+40 doesn’t equal 90.Also the lady cut me 2 times and said “when you cut someone you dab The cut with a paper towel and then you put glue on it to stop it from bleeding.” And when I asked if they do fiberglass nails she sat there telling me about how fiberglass nails are not able to be sold anywhere anymore and how illegal they are in PA. And when I went to cure my nails under the light she sat there on her phone for 10 min and then Told me that I had to put my other hand back in and she open the Drawer and pulled out her phone again and spent another 10 min. On the phone.

Just went to get my nails done at nail square. Due to covid they changed their prices to an extra $15 for a full set & their credit card was “suspiciously” down even though it was unlugged and off which clearly makes sense that it’s because they don’t want to claim so they can keep their unemployment which is illegal and wrong. I’m a waitress and always tip but the service was so horrible and prices are OFF THE WALL. They also don’t tell you they increased the price until you pay. The girl beside me also had her nails done and weren’t the way they asked and when she asked them to fix them they told her no. This is ridiculous and I don’t care how desperate I am to get my nails done, I will never go back here

Nails turned out beautiful, but the man who did them ripped and pulled on my hands so much. He would SLAP my hands when I wasn’t the way he wanted me to be. He filed so carelessly and made my nails literally bleed. I’m so done at that place!

Did not listen at all to how I wanted my nails. Girl got mad at walked away from me. My nails all different shapes and sizes. Will never go there or recommend them to anyone. Spent 110 dollars for nails and pedicure.

The wait time was about 40 minutes...an average time to wait when youre within Prom and Graduation season. They did a great job on mine and my daughters nails and the cost was average as well. We will definitely be returning for future visits!!

This is one of my favorite nail salons in the area. Veronica is so patient and makes sure every detail is perfect before you leave.

Worse experience I ever had. Ignore you when you walk in, the women don’t know a word of English and they act like they are doing you a favor but that they hate that you are there. Worse manicure I never received. Women put my hands in acetone then went in the back and never came back out. Left my hands in the acetone for over 30 minutes (would have been longer but finally I decided to leave). Told the guy what happened and that we were leaving, he was also SO rude. Said okay, charged us $125 and refused to tell us the manager or owners name. We’re from out of town. It’s places like this that give Altoona a bad name. I doubt if any of them are even legal anyway. Save your money. Go somewhere that appreciates your business. Never again.

My rating would be a zero if I had the option. My daughter got her nails done today and whenever I saw them I couldn’t believe how terrible they looked. First, they’re crooked, uneven, and lifted/raised up. They are not even painted the whole way down. They just in general do not look like normal nails.The lady seemed impatient with my daughter also. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want to pay $32 for a poor job and a long wait.

My first visit here for a pedicure was fantastic. The woman was thorough and the massage was amazing. The second time was pure hell. A man did my pedicure this time and he made four of my toes bleed pretty profusely, ripping a third of the nail off of one. I made him stop before he applied the paint and explained I was quite unhappy with his services. He never apologized, only made excuses, never offered any money back, and could not tell me how they sterilize their equipment (although that last one may be a language barrier issue). I literally could barely walk afterwards and the pain continues today. Im just hoping the place is sterile enough...Ive had pedicures most of my adult life and this has NEVER happened to me before. Obviously, I wont be going back

I had a really bad experience at this place. The lady doing my nails was very rude, aggressively moved my hands in the directions she wanted them, and filed my nails so hard that I thought she would break my nails. I looked forward for a pleasant and relaxing visit, but was more stressed when leaving the place. The price was also high, in consideration of the sloppy, and little work and service they gave their customers.

Great pedicure I was given for Mothers Day from my daughter Jennifer and her husband Mark. This helped to raise my spirits!

Sat for 1 1/2 hrs and kept getting skipped over when I said something they said yeah we know. Used to love this place now I will never give them my money again. They are a joke.

It was my first time getting a manicure... The dude made me feel stupid. He was rude, barely communicated with me and kept pulling and pushing my hands. He rushed, was rough with the file and I just feel like I could have had a much better experience... I will not go here again... My friend and I couldnt sit together. The pricing didnt make sense. The dude also was bleeding under one of his fingernails... That doesnt seem sanitary to me.

I just got my nails done Sunday...it’s now thursday and my nails look terrible. They looked bad right after I got them done, access paint left all around my nails and the lady only did one coat and they definitely needed more than one. She did not say a word to me and was very rough she could tell she was hurting me and ask “am I hurting you?” I said yes and she got even rougher with my nails, she slapped my hand and told me to relax and was pulling my hands roughly the way she wanted them. I waited for about 45 minutes and it took her 15 minutes to do my full set. I got designs on my accent nail and she did not take time on them. it’s now 4 days after and my nails look like they need filled already, paints chipping, and acrylics are chipping. not to mention my nails hurt, SO BAD. if i could give them 0 stars i would. DO NOT GO HERE.

Crazy long wait times. Communication from staffing was non existent- 4 people working, but only 2 people actually doing work! Was sick of waiting..

I had a very unsatisfactory visit here. I got powder dip nails. To begin with, the entire staff was cold and unwelcoming. Almost like they were annoyed they had to work. Next the technician did not even file my nails evenly. She drilled my cuticles so much that they hurt, one bleed, and I had a lot of peeling skin as a result. She didn’t converse and she wasn’t very gentle moving my hand around either. At one point, I was sitting there doing nothing as she proceeded to get on her cell phone. I assumed the final coat was drying but I wasn’t sure if I should get up and go or sit there. Then she said she was finished yet my skin was dry and cracked from the solution she used to get the polish off in the beginning. I had to ask for lotion. To top it all off, the following day, I noticed that the polish was cracking. The very next day!!! I called and the woman said that I had to come in so she could see it before she could fix it. She was uninterested and curt on the phone. In conclusion, I have decided not to go back to have them fix my nails. I do not want my nails damaged even worse. It isn’t worth it. Now I’m slowly trying to remove the polish and I notice that my nails are extremely thin bc she drilled them too low. I was told by another salon that dip nails are supposed to protect your nails so that they can grow stronger. I had the same procedure done at Envy Nails theee weeks prior and I had absolutely no problems until I made the mistake of going to Nail Square. I believe the nails Envy did would have lasted another week if I hadn’t wanted the color changed. I will never reccomend this place nor go back there. I don’t usually write bad reviews, but I don’t want anyone to have to go through a bad experience like I did. It is going to take months to grow out all the damage they did.

Ok Ive gotten my gel acrylics filled twice there...the first time the lady cut 4 of my fingers and didnt stop the service to clean the blood or anything. The second time I went the lady didnt talk to me except for asking what color I wanted and what length. I told her I wanted them shorter so she made them shorter and never asked if the length was good. Then she never capped the free edge. I am training to be a cosmetologist and I know if you dont cap the free edge the gel polish doesnt last. It lifts up and chips....thats exactly what mine is doing now. If would give them a zero rating if that was a choice. None of the people working there seem like they are even interested in doing this.

My daughter was being was being really polite and they were rude to her because she couldnt understand what they were saying and they couldnt find The color she wanted so she said thatSomeone else could worry about finding the color

Got a pedicure and the ripped off flesh, and got an acrylic set they sanded off my flesh. Not going back too careless rude and in a rush

If I could give a zero I would. 3 hours just for a pedi. I am not talking about the pedi itself (who wouldnt live that) but from the time it took to be seated in pedi chair after being skipped multiple times til paying. I waited almost a 45 mins until someone came to start. Water was so hot I could not put my feet in at all. Took about 20 mins for someone to put cold in to make it better. Finally the guy came to start. When it came time for polish he ignored the color I wanted and put on the wrong color much different than what I picked. I left that go, no biggie just polish. The design I wanted it took the guy 3 times and I can tell you my 4yr old could have done better. I kept quiet about it not wanting to offend in case he was just learning. He did ask would you like something else? I showed a much simpler design (3 diagnal lines)and he attempted 3 more times with no luck getting frustrated. He got a lady to come help. I went to pay and they said only cash no card. Wish they would have had a sign up but went to their atm machine got cash. Same gut who took about 2 and a half hours on my pedi, asked for payment... Nothing for the crazy wait time, nothing for taking 45mins to an he just on design, or in general the overall horrible experience. A simple I apologize would have been the least they could have done. Many frustrated customers were there. Never will I go back. I had plans for pesos and acrylic fill but oh well Im glad.

The work was great but the girl never said a word and seemed unhappy being there. Maybe she was just having a bad day.

They are mean and very dirty

I have had my manicures and pedicures done here for years. My daughter was visiting from Pittsburgh and after raving about them, she wanted to go so we had manis and pedis. Her bill was $70 that day for services. For some reason, about 50% of her gel manicure chipped off within 3 days. The polish could have been defective or maybe a step in the process was missed. She took pictures and I mentioned the problem on my next visit and requested that she receive a complimentary service the next time she visited. Needless to say, on her next visit they took a whopping $5.00 off her bill. I cant begin to total the money I have spent there over the years; however, I do know I will never use or recommend them to anyone in the future!

I have been going to this place for years and I’m finally fed up. They always charge me a different amount which makes zero sense. Then I call ahead before I go in because I have to get a sitter to watch my daughter. I go in and sit for half an hour a girl walks in 20 minutes after me and they take right away. I’m beyond angry!!!!!!

Ive never had my nails done before. I asked for Gel, was charged for Gel and was given acrylic. I will NEVER go here again.

I got a gel mani and pedicure. The lines on my nail design were crooked and looked like a 5 year old did them with crayons. The lady was rude and rushed doing my nails, leaving excess polish on my fingersite. $80...I wont be going back!

I have nothing but amazing things to say first off I have tried four diff places and still I come back here bc there never right to Im at nail square !!! I payed 32 dollars at snl Friday and called sat for a app to have them fixed three chipped and no polish all in 24 hours I say stick to nail square they may have a wait but a place thats good always has a wait !!!! #1 Nail place for me !! Thanks everyone in there Ill see u again for sure
