Do not go there in an emergency and are stranded!! They will certainly take your money but offer ZERO help to the customer. We were traveling through and stopped at Wawa across the street. When we came out we found our battery was dead. We walked over to the garage to see if they had battery, luckily they did. My husband asked if they could help change it out and we were told no, they dont do off site work. Ok, no problem. My husband then asked if they had a socket we could borrow or even rent. We were told no /they dont do that. Ok, can we at least buy a piece of sandpaper to clean the terminals, nope. Now, batteries are not light. My husband just had major surgery as his diaphragm herniated and completely separated on one side, so I carried it to the Wawa, my daughter and i took old battery out of the truck which is a Ram 1500, put the new one in, cleaned the terminals with an Emery board. When we took the old battery back to get the core and asked the counter person to go out and bring the old one in he did grudgingly. Now i dont know how PA works, but in upstate NY our mechanics go way above and beyond to help every customer, not just the locals. I understand not doing off site work, but come on, do something to help: have me put a $40 deposit down for the socket or something. How long would it have taken to drive the battery over for us? A little kindness goes a VERY long way! So very disappointed to see a business solely be about money and not the customer.
This place is 5 stars in so the ways that count. Service, knowledge, friendliness and speed
There really good they fixed my daughters honda it work great now thanks again
Always friendly staff. From oil changes to U-Haul truck rentals they do a teriffic job. Highly recommend them.
Stopped by to get a quote in the Morning. Front desk couldnt help me. I guess the shop manager was underneath a Vehicle working as well. I left my info and exactly what I needed done this was at 11am I was told someone would get back to me ASAP. I called at 4pm some one will get back to before end of day (530Pm). No one got back to I received a call the next day at 5pm. I received the quote with no explanation of how much were the parts? how much was the labor? How long would the job typically take?Did it come backed by a warranty? They must be doing good to allow Customers to wait so long for something that should take 15 mins tops. Went to Binder Auto down the Road. Complete communication every step of the way thanks to Bruce and Matt.
Mcnabbs is a family run business who knows their customers and cater to their needs. If you want a place you can trust....they are highly recommended by anyone in this area.
Awsome work
McNabbs was amazing!! I went to them without an appointment with a flat tire and they helped me right away! They were extremely quick, knowledgeable, and professional! Great experience!
Drove to Allentown from an hour away to look at a used vehicle, once I was interested in purchasing it, I contacted Mc Nabbs Service, spoke with Cindy and asked if they had time to perform a pre-buyer inspection on the vehicle. She fit me in quickly and the mechanic (sorry I forget your name) provided good information that helped me when negotiating the deal for the car. Thank you for all your help!
Truck rental went very well!
THEE very best service with knowledgeable and trustworthy techs....and theyre local! How could you beat that!!!
They have been in business for over 30 years. Ive used them to service my vehicles and I would highly recommend them to others for service for their cars. They are friendly and very knowledgeable service personnel
Theyre good people that do good work. Great communication. One of only a handful of places Ive seen where you can pick your keys up from a coded lock box after hours. Very well lit at night.
Rented a Uhaul. They were great honest upfront pricing and easy return process!
Family owned and operated. Took my car there for inspection and got to see the new state-of-the-art machine they just purchased for wheel alignments. Brent (mechanic) did the work quickly, and didnt try to sell me stuff that I did not need. Scott (front desk) was friendly and got things done quickly, to send me on my way. These days, its hard to find a mechanic that you can trust. I will be sticking with McNabbs for years to come.
Picked up a Uhaul here. Friendly staff and quick service. Drop off the keys in the dropbox made the return even easier.Note: DONT USE THE UHAUL APP! It take forever. So much faster to just walk in and talk to the guy!
One of the most honest of mechanics I have come across in forty years!
I am not originally from the Lehigh Valley but always heard they were honest and did good work. I started using McNabbs about 1 year ago after my manufacturer warranty expired. Every experience has been great. Always performed the services I requested and never more. On one occasion my brake warning simply malfunction and they resolved it with no charge whatsoever.
Dropped of my van for inspection and oil change. They failed inspection and they told me I need new brakes and front bearings. I told them to hold off on oil change, and repairs so I can go elsewhere for a second opinion because they said it would be in the $thousands but they didnt give me a straight price or didnt bother writing up an estimate when I asked which felt kind of shady. When a shop cant provide you with an estimate or give you an exact price-RUN!When I picked up the keys the fellow behind the counter handed me the keys without saying a word.Couple of days later as Im driving to another facility, the engine blew a piston, because McNabbs had emptied out the oil and left it dry without telling me. The engine was bone dry. They didnt bother to tell me because I wasnt getting the repairs done there.Because of their incompetence Im out of a engine.I would hate to think that it was done out of spite. If they would have mentioned to me that they already started the oil change, I would have okd it, but they didnt.Stay away from this shop.
Caring and friendly
These guys rock they are now my new garage and only they will be touching my car.
My car broke down needed alternator. We knew it was that problem they still charged 55 $ to look at. They then told me the alternator would be 500 $. I have 3 0f the same cars so I know price and have done before. I pulled vehicle and had towed to another shop where it was done for 250 1 hour labor. Rate
I’ve always had a great experience with McNabb’s. They are prompt, professional, and fairly-priced. Most crucially, I trust their appraisals of auto repairs: a key differentiator in a world where some prey on their clients’ naïveté.
I wish I could give no stars. Uhaul gave me a pick up at this location and these idiots rented the truck out to someone else under MY contract. My drivers license # was still attached to the vehicle. They screwed over my entire weekend moving plans. How in the world is this possible? Guess the morons didnt check the I.d.s? I cant say, they couldnt even tell me. Its ridiculous, careless and Im extremely pissed. DO NOT use them.
Thanks guys. If Id wanted to over-charge my AC system, I could have done it myself for much less :/
They are always quick and have reasonable, competitive prices. My husband has been taking his cars there, since he was 16 and theyre always fair to us.
Never led me wrong. Maybe slightly expensive but you get what you pay for.
First time there, no complaints. Friendly staff. Didnt feel cheated. Will go there again.
Been using this service station for 35 years. Go and see Brent and Gabe. They will hook you up.
Excellent
Great service every time
Local place but interactions are pretty hit or miss
Dont bother taking your car here for an inspection. They do not want to take the time to explain anything to you. They will nitpick your vehicle right down to the cosmetic damages.
