Ive been going to this dental practice for about 3 or 4 years and theyve consistently been great! I really like that they have a high def TV for the patient. Theyve used it to show me past history/status, images of teeth and gums, x-rays, and theyve also used a live camera to point some things out.

What a stellar dental practice! My hygienist, Erika, was PHENOMENAL — kind, warm, welcoming, thorough, knowledgable, and attentive. She explained nuanced dental concepts in laymans terms that were easy to understand, and I left feeling confident that I had received a robust and comprehensive dental examination and cleaning! Dr. Ashley is also great — her expertise and experience are a huge asset to the practice.

NaLa smiles has the best dentists and hygienists. Ms. Katie was so thorough, answered all my questions patiently, and came up with the best plan of care for me since I’m currently pregnant. I really have never felt so calm and cared for at a dentist office as I did here. I highly recommend NaLa Smiles to everyone!

Going to the dentist is not typically a pleasant experience, unless your dentist is Dr. Ashley Nguyen! I went for a crown and a filling, and I had a fabulous experience. Cannot say enough good things about NaLa and all of their staff. The receptionist was so helpful and polite despite being absolutely slammed when I was there. The hygienist was knowledgeable, efficient, and told me everything she was doing and why. Dr. Masoud is phenomenal—so kind to everyone, extremely competent, and didn’t rush despite being busy. Lovely staff, very professional, careful, attentive and always in good spirits. Everyone goes above and beyond to make me feel comfortable. This dental business is the best that I have ever found. Not only is everyone incredibly competent, but they are also interested in making the experience agreeable cost-wise. Their front office staff introduced me today to a dental plan for persons who do not carry dental insurance, and that plan will help make my dental care more affordable. While many offices attempt to bill the most money possible, these people want clients to be well-treated and fairly-treated. I highly recommend them!

Dr Masoud was very thorough and explained three different options for my tooth needing repair. He explained costs and plus/minus for each option; specific to my particular situation and tooth. He spent all the time necessary for me to cover all my questions.

I am new to the area and was nervous about finding a new dentist when I started experiencing a pain in my tooth! NaLa Smiles was able to get me an appointment quickly, even being a new patient. Dr. Nguyen was very compassionate to my pain and really listened to my concerns. She quickly acted to remedy my issue. I am so appreciate to her and her friendly staff and will be utilizing her office again!

It is strange that I love going to the dentist? The staff here is the best! Dr. Nguyen and Dr. Imam are incredible! Both will put you at total ease and do an incredible job! However, the front desk has changed (reception) and they definitely need to improve in their customer service skills, it’s lacking.

Ive been looking for a local dentist in the Alexandria area and glad I found NaLa Smiles. The staff was very friendly and my dental hygienist (Trenna) was happy to answer any questions I had and explain what she was doing throughout my cleaning. They were able to run my insurance and provide estimates for some follow up work that I needed done before scheduling the next appointment. Staff is great, have been going there for years but their recent addition gives no privacy whatsoever. You can see the head of the person being treated a few feet from you and the wall does not go far enough to give privacy. Very uncomfortable on top of seeing them being treated you can obviously hear everything as well. Horrible design.

Dr. Hala Imam at Nala Smiles: Best skills – Best care – Best cost. I have problematic restorations. Most dental practices are purely business model driven. Finding a dentist that puts the patient first requires test consults. Finding a dentist with outstanding skills comes with sacrifice: My mouth and wallet have both suffered. Finding a practice with fair pricing in this affluent area, is a God send. Once my perception of color and translucency were more acute than the dentist whose chair I was sitting in. Ironically, it was the most impressive dental office I had ever seen. I was lured by a glossy mailer. I interrupted the sales pitch by popping out of the chair. I would like to think I could at least spare someone what I’ve gone through. Finding Skills, Care, and Cost in this area is like finding a needle in a haystack.

I cant speak highly enough of NALA Smiles. I have been a patient of Dr. Nguyen for years and she is efficient, knowledgeable and down to earth. Now that theyve expanded and able to do more dental work in house Ive had an implant done with Dr. Masoud. He is so helpful and friendly. He made sure to explain everything before/as he was working. He even built in time to address another issue during my appointment (as opposed to making me return for another visit). Great dentists. I would highly recommend.

A great dental practice full of professionals.The front desk staff are incredibly skilled in customer service, scheduling, and are quickly able to provide insurance estimates.The hygienists are incredibly knowledgeable and take great care to not cause pain while cleaning.The dentists have amazing bedside manner, perform excellent work (both in addressing issues and providing a good cosmetic finish), and are willing to take the time to listen to their patients rather than rushing us through like cattle.There are dental offices closer to our home, but we choose to stay with this practice for all the reasons above. I was nervous about seeing my dentist during this Covid pandemic but once NaLa Smiles explained their safety procedures I confirmed the appointment. I called when I arrived, my temperature was taken at the door, I was greeted by masked & gloves employees and I saw that the instruments were sealed.This office is efficient, professional, friendly and skilled. I highly recommend this office.

I have several problems with sinus, sleep apnea, etc. I had been going to Dr. Nguyen for sixteen years and had terrific work done on my teeth and with the best service ever. I moved to Cape May, NJ and no one would work with me concerning my problems. I now take the ferry to Lewes, Delaware and drive 2 1/2 hours back to National Landing Smiles to have my root canal and crowns completed. Then repeat the drive and ferry crossing back home on the same day. That is how good they are! Ibrahim Masoud, DDS, an excellent addition to Dr. Nguyens office, (National Landing Smiles) spent hours to both complete a root canal and then pack the tooth and its adjacent tooth for a temporary crown. I woke up the next day and for the first time in one year had no pain anywhere along my jaw! The temporary was so well done that due to covid -19 I did not go back until three months later and no problems had occurred. My actual crowns were placed over both teeth with multiple adjustments to ensure that the bite was perfect. I will be going back to have my implant and attaching crown completed by NalaSmiles. Having tried three different dentists in southern New Jersey, I will continue to take the four hour trip each way to have the best work on my teeth. They are the best!

NaLa Smiles has done a great job of reorganizing their daily operation to accommodate COVID19 concerns.I felt comfortable in the office and in the chair for my first visit since before the pandemic began.Generally speaking I don’t like going to the dentist, but I’m happy with the service and I recommend Dr Ashley Nguyen and those in her office. They do a great job.

Went for my first check up during the pandemic. I was not worried as they have always been very good with sanitization and disinfection. They have stepped up their safety with social distancing (wait in your car to avoid crowding waiting room), face shields and gowns. Dr. Nguyen and her staff are the best!

We -- as a family -- were clients before the Dr. Nguyen sold the practice to the NALA partnership. While the deal hygienists remain great, I have lost confidence with the dentists. Despite not having a cavity in decades, suddenlybthe whole family seems to have a mouthful of cavities or areas of concern. In January, I had two cavities treated and the workmanship is was so poor that it needs to be replaced six months later.And, NY daughter was told that she needs a specialized treatment for which periodontists are NALA are amongst the few in NOVA who can perform the procedures. And, the procedure costs $5,000.Needless to say, after the shoddy workmanship on my tooth filling completed, we will be lookingbfot another dental practice.
