I highly recommend this dentist office! Going to the dentist is not easy but when you have a hygienist such as Jean, you needn’t worry. She is simply amazing. She explains everything as she is working in a very easy to understand and detailed way. She puts you at ease and is extremely sensitive and caring. She takes her job very seriously and her knowledge and skill are truly remarkable. As a result, I am now happily going for a cleaning every six months… Which is something I’ve never consistently managed to do.

Dr. Lokitis is the most caring, committed, and efficient Dentist I have EVER experienced. She is current on every aspect of her field, often offering instruction to those assisting her. She is very concerned to explain every detail of what she will be doing to her patients. She is so cheerful and personable that I instantly felt she instantly had become a close friend.The office has a very happy and friendly feel. Very grateful we found these fine people and their great practice.

This place is amazing ! I was avoiding going to the dentist for a long time due to a negative prior experience but was recommended to come here. When I walked in the staff was attentive, nice and welcoming. Most importantly the dental hygienist, Ana, did a VERY GOOD job cleaning my teeth. You can tell she really loves what she does. She was extremely gentle and patient while she was doing the cleaning. I’m very content with the service here and highly recommend this dental clinic !

Dr. Lokitis fixed a filling that another dentist messed up. I haven’t been able to use the right side of my mouth while eating for 3 months. I’ve had jaw pain and it’s been a burden. Not only did she do a stellar job, my jaw pain is nearly none existent. I trust Dr. Lokitis implicitly. If I could give a 10 out of 10 rating, she would get it. Her attention to detail and bed side manner can’t be beat! Thank you!

Caution. Apparently this dental clinic goes in/out of insurance networks. I went to them multiple times and they were in the network. For my VERY LAST VISIT (we moved due to military), apparently they werent IN the network. But they didnt bother to mention it and now Im hit with a significant payment b/c its been three years and I wasnt aware my insurance didnt pay it all. I find it incredibly unscrupulous that they didnt bother to tell me they were no longer in the network, especially b/c it was my LAST visit. Thats dirty BS.

The dental hygienists are always very friendly and Dr Legum is very friendly. After 6 years of not going to the dentist they got my teeth back in ship shape (though I don’t recommend 6 years of dental neglect! It will cost you like $3,000 even with insurance!)

It has taken me a long time to find a dentist I am really comfortable with and trust and Julia Lokitis is it. She takes time to explain procedures and options, she listens to concerns and is genuinely invested in a great outcome for her patients. On top of that she is a really nice person, takes care to be gentle and is never rushed. At this practice I feel like I am in very good hands and going to the dentist, while still far from my favorite thing to do, has gone from being a dreaded to a pleasant experience. Highly recommend!

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Lokitis and Devlin for a few years and they have been wonderful. They take away all of the anxiety of going to the dentist. They walk you through everything they are doing and are extremely patient.

I went to another Dental office (not sure if it would be appropriate to mention the name here) which was more closer to work and looked good in appearance with so many good reviews (i guess paid reviews) but that other place tried to make more money as well by saying I needed more cavities filling I didn’t believe it because I was not feeling anything. So I came to this place (Dental Associates of Northern VA) as I had good experience here is past. This place confirmed that there was actually just one cavity to be filled.I am glad for not finalizing everything at the other place as they may have grind off my actual enamel to later fill it with the filling.The procedure was very smooth specially the numbing process. I would continue to come to this place and recommend this place because they do not suggest or try to convince for the procedures or products that are not required.

I am very pleased with this dental office and would highly recommend it to others. I have been a patient here since 2011. I selected this dental office as it was close to where I worked at the time. I have since changed employment but I continue to be a patient here due to the quality of care and the friendly environment. For me, this is worth the extra driving time. I have been pleased with both the routine preventative care and the emergency care (following a dental injury) that I have received from Dr. Lokitis. Her pleasant manner and efficient expertise make you forget you were having your teeth cleaned. The administrative staff is competent and welcoming and the location has plenty of convenient, free parking. What more could you ask for? A full five stars for one of the best businesses in the area. This is a well-oiled machine that puts the patients first. I feel Dr. Lokitis skill and education is unmatched in the DC area. Shes brilliant, kind, and you always feel like youre her only patient. In the past, Ive usually dreaded going to the dentist. At Dental Associates of Northern Virginia in Alexandria (Belle View area) I look forward to going. I like my hygienist Marsha, she does a great job cleaning and explaining how I can take care of my teeth at home. Short wait times, always make me happy. And those short wait times are not just with cleaning its also with the dentist. ( The office staff know how to schedule appointments) Dentist is personable and throw.

Ive been seeing Dr. Julia Lokitis for a couple of years and shes wonderful. Very knowledgeable and caring and trust me Im a big baby when it comes to the dentist. She came up with a plan and slowly we are going through it. Her main interest is always the health of my teeth and she has given me options to work within my insurance and budget. So, so, so happy with this office! Im a new patient, and Ive had a wonderful experience with this office. They were able to get me in for my initial cleaning very quickly. Every person Ive met has been friendly, kind, and knowledgeable (hard combo to get!). They were able to answer my questions (including questions about financing options) about Invisalign and get me started with the process within a few weeks of my initial visit. Fast, friendly, and convenient service--hard to come by these days!

I was dealing with cancer this year and my normal dentist could not see me after I was finished with my Radiation well basically they never called me back. So I called these guys ask them if they take my insurance and they of course said yes. I went in the doctor was awesome the staff was awesome. A week and a half later I received a bill for over $600 I called immediately because there has to be a misunderstanding.... and she said of course yes there was a misunderstanding the insurance was all messed up everythings fine do not worry about the bill.I just received another bill from them saying that Im 30 days late and that it is a $200 bill now.When my dental insurance covers all my x-rays and my cleaning and one fluoride a year... which is what I had done.I would try to stay away from these guys.... very nice people but I dont think they know what theyre doing.I just received that second bill so of course Im trying to call them you cant even leave a message.Thank God its not an emergency because theres no emergency number either.

Look, I only review when I experience exceptional service. This was such an experience. Everything just went right, and everyone was awesome and professional. I’ll be coming back here, and this is now my new dentist office. I’m just glad I found this place.

These people make going to the dentist palatable. My hygienist, Serap, is the only dental hygienist that can put sharp pointy objects in my mouth and never cause ANY discomfort. Similarly, Dr. Legum is an artist! Seriously, the crown feels better than the original tooth! They are friendly, professional, on time, and, most importantly, really great at what they do.

After spending several days with a dental emergency and having no luck finding a dentist your practice took me as a new patient. Wow. Let me start with my family had been coming tot his office for over 40 years with about 20+ family members that visit them. The dentist Dr Legum is amazing, as far as the “office manager” Judy is concerned completely rude and dismissive to my wife. Pronounced our last name wrong and laughed about it. Then told my wife it was $250 for a cleaning! She told her we get a promo discount for how long we’ve been coming there and how many people in our family go there. She told my wife she could only offer her 5% so my wife called me I spoke to Judy and she was rude to me as well and told her she just lost a client and then hung up in my face. I guess they’re ripping people off so bad they don’t care for customer retention.

Marcia takes wonderful care of my teeth and Dr. Legum always delivers such good news on the health of my teeth and gums, thanks to Marcias hard work and counsel. Ive been coming to Dental Associates for years now. I normally hate going to the dentist, but I love coming here and seeing all the friendly staff. Everything in the office is extremely clean and organized, including where the actual teeth cleaning takes place. Their office is extremely easy to find, and there is ample parking. I normally see Doctor Lokitis, who is the most meticulous, skilled dentist Ive seen. I trust her implicitly with any work that needs to be done with my teeth. She seems to know more than any dentist Ive previously seen. Marcia, the hygienist, is probably one of the sweetest people youve ever met, and she does a fantastic job as well. Shes extremely gentle and makes you feel like youre at a spa instead of a dental office. The office manager, Paola, has always been extremely helpful in ironing out any insurance questions I have and making sure Im not paying more than I have to. Raisa, who works at the front desk, always gives me the warmest greeting and is also extremely helpful. Although its a bit of a hike from where I live, I refuse to go anywhere else because every experience Ive had here has been great. A+ staff, A+ dental work.

She followed her education with an impressive residency. She has eight years’ experience providing both routine and complicated procedures.  So, Dr. Lokitis applied current best practices long enough to master her craft.Dr. Lokitis demonstrates proficiency by teaching others. She takes the time to explain information, x-rays and procedures to others including myself, dental assistants, and hygienists. She cites technical terminology and translates terminology into language easily understood.Dr. Lokitis is compassionate. She cares about my health and smile. She provides guidance on how to increase the health of my teeth and gumline, thereby increasing the life of my teeth.I have seen Dr. Lokitis at two offices. So, I am posting this review at both of her locations.

I received a very warm welcome in addition to a professional and thorough exam on my first visit. The digital x-rays were rapidly available for viewing. Parking and shopping were nearby.

My visits at this Dental office is always wonderful. Starting off with the receptionist all the way to the dentist, you are given the best care. They are very friendly, and gentle with the procedures. My daughter has some bad experiences with dentists before, so she gets very scared when it is time to go to the dentist, even if it is just a minor cleaning. However, since we start to use the service of Dental Associates of Northern Virginia with Dr.Lokitis, my daughter is no longer afraid of going to the dentist office. She actually loves it. Also, my whole family uses the service of Dental Associates of Northern Virginia, and we all love it.

Been there for a couple of times. The only downside is that you have to wait for at least 15 minutes from your appointment time. One time, I was called in only after 30 minutes from my appointment time which is a bummer since they dont operate on weekends and I have to go there on my lunch break. Staffs, environment, docs are all good.

Dr. Lokitis and her team are the best! Today I arrived at my appointment almost an hour early and she was just about to head out to lunch. When she saw me, she decided to postpone her lunch rather than have me wait. Now that is customer service! In addition to excellent customer service, she is also very thorough. I live in Washington DC and can easily find a local dentist but I prefer commuting to Alexandria because I know what Im getting. I highly recommend Dr. Lokitis!

Very disappointed. They charged me almost $400 to fix a small, superficial chip on a bottom front tooth. Over 3x what most other dentists charge and i was self-pay and a 100% disabled veteran. Stay away from here if you don’t want to get ripped off!! They should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of a veteran or anyone else for that .matter.UPDATE: I called to try to talk to someone in billing as they asked and no one ever called me back. They ask to connect with me and then dont bother to respond Stay away from this place.

The dentist is usually a stressful place, but Karim at Dental Associates of Northern Virginia took amazing care of me! She was very focused on my needs, and she checked my insurance to guarantee I wouldn’t be needlessly charged for any extra work.

In the early days Dr. Rich Godlewski and his Office Manager (wife) set the cordial tone and a very high bar for professional services that has been an ongoing legacy to the current practice there. Dr. Marty Legum, his dental assistants, dental hygienists, and front office staff are all superb. Have been particularly impressed by the courtesy, knowledge and talents of the dental hygienists employed there; who never fail to add helpful hints and dental care updates for their patients. Cerap and more recently Karim are among the best anywhere in terms of employing gentle, comprehensive, and effective techniques in teeth cleaning, upkeep hints, and sharing the latest breakthroughs in preventive teeth maintenance. Just remarkable. Everything is accomplished at reasonable and affordable pricing with referrals when necessary to top of the line specialists should dental surgery, implants or orthodontic aids be recommended. Truly an exceptional group of professionals and gracious human beings/human doings. Finally we came up for a game plan moving forward. Dr. Legum was also friendly and welcomed me to his practice. He gave me suggestions on things to look out for and we had a brief discussion about Invisalign, which I found very helpful. I definitely recommend this practice.

The staff was great and very welcoming, Karim was amazing and explained everything she was doing and made me feel extremely comfortable, she made my teeth look better than they have in a while and will be my go to hygienist from now on.
