Chris and his team did an excellent job on 4 area rugs. Based on Washington Consumer Checkbook reviews for price and quality over many years, I decided to drive one hour to their shop from Southern Maryland. Cindy carried each carpet in by herself since Im not able to carry heavy items. I showed her one that was heavily soiled and had mildew on it after being rolled up in the basement for a few years. I wasnt sure it was even worth cleaning. But she said they would clean it, and if they werent able to get stains out, they would not charge me. So what did I have to lose?!?! It turns out that it was too heavily soiled, and I didnt want it back so they discarded it and didnt charge me. The other three were beautifully cleaned. I was so very pleased Would recommend them heartily without reservation and would travel an hour again when I need carpets cleaned.

Chris and his team are truly the best! They do a great job, are reasonably priced, and show up when they say they will. Ive been using them for more than 10 years and highly recommend.

*Remove candle ash stainExcellent service! After calling another Alexandria cleaning company and having them cancel/not show up twice, I called Chem-Dry. They arrived early, got the dark ash candle wick stain out of a near-white carpet, and were friendly and professional. I highly recommend them!***Update. The candle stain came out completely, and the technician was very friendly and down-to-earth. However, the carpet puckered up about 24-48 hours after the stain was removed. I suspect that the glue loosened after the iron was applied by the technician. This isnt entirely his fault. However, I was disappointed to see this after initially being thrilled. I hope my apartment complex doesnt notice the puckering when I move out.

Extremely great service at a good price. They gave me a very accurate estimate beforehand and it was easy to make an appointment. They did my carpets and did upholstery cleaning on my very large sectional. They worked very fast and still with attention to detail!! They got ALL the stains out of my carpet and couch. My entire house smells amazing. 11/10 will definitely be using them again next year.

Had Chem-Dry of Arlington & Alexandria clean some badly stained upholstery after having use them to clean several rugs a few years back. Could not have been a better experience. Stains that I did not think could be removed disappeared. Moreover, Chris is a pleasure to work with. Professional work at a reasonable price… I could not of asked for more or a better experience! I would give them 6 if I could. Professional and courteous both over the phone and in person and did exactly what they say they will. We had the pleasure of having Christmas as our tech and he did an excellent job. Very knowledgeable and thorough. We had pet urine that we thought was impossible to get out and their P.E.R.T. treatment did wonders.Oh and they came in under the quoted price.Seriously just excellent service that is rare.

My wife and I used Chem-Dry to clean our apartments carpeting in the bedroom and living room. Jason P. did an excellent job. The carpets look brand new, even though they are about four years old.Jason P. was super friendly and professional. He also completed his work quickly and effectively.The cleaning removed all signs of dirt near the entry way to our apartment and it removed a coffee stain from a portion of our carpet in the living room. I had them clean a $2500 persian rug. After it was cleaned I saw it was discolored and did not look right. I had them clean it again and it still looked bad. I took later to another cleaner and they said it was not cleaned right and was discolored in some spots. Definitely dont take your rug to be cleaned here... my rug is not the same.

Very cost effective and they do a wonderful job! I was sure my carpets could not be totally cleaned but Chris made them look brand new!
