I love this place for the most part. The staff treats you as well as they can for being an addict. Everyone judges, even if they have the best of intentions not to. There is a lot of help if you utilize it. Counselors and therapists are wonderful. You can even have your primary care done there. Because UNM is a teaching hospital sometimes appointments with psychiatric can get redundant....which is hard on people with mental illness as well as the substance abuse problems because you might see a different resident each time. They are very strict...so if following up closely with your program isnt for you, (as well as having to dose on Sundays) I would suggest going somewhere else. I used to go to 5 points, I suggest them as an alternative. They are great too.

Been going to this methadone clinic for a couple years. Its a good clinic for pregnant woman who are seeking treatment from opiate dependence. Methadone is free while youre pregnant but mist of the time Medicaid pays for your dose. They are really strict there and honestly I think a little too strict. There is no Sunday take homes unless you earn your first step and you have to stay on your counselor ass to get it or else you will never get take homes. Another thing thats sux is that you have to go see your counselor or they will try to discharge u from the clinic if u miss appointments. Other than that its alright .

This place is good on helping pregnant women with there opiod addictions...However it is very strict and they make you feel like you are reporting to probation but worse..two random UAs a week is ridiculous..its very hard to succeed and they make you want to relapse half the time...But there was some reslly good staff here.

The nurses and doctors and all the staff make it feel like a family environment, which is nicely appreciated. However, I say 4 stars based on the fact that the walk-in counseling is ridiculously unorganized and theyre not fully staffed it would seem. At the beginning they said you would only have to wait 15mins AT THE MOST--- so far, Ive had 3/5 times waiting longer than 35-45mins! I dont have that kind of time and if you dont see the counselor you are not allowed to dose!!! Anyways, that is the only negative. I love the place and all those who work there and have made great progress since finding ASAp!!!

I have been going here for a little over 3 years now...i love it here...they are so friendly...very professional...they always liston to your problems and are always very careing & supportive...this place understands addicts & they actually try to help u get off of whatever your addi ted too...they have a program for it here...they have counselors here that reall sit down with U & liston to all your f en problems & they try all they can and help u...they have case managment here...all u have to do is make the apointment...u have to earn your take homes here...like i said they are good people here and want to work with u & help u...not just tjrow medicino at u...lol and this place is open ALL the time...even if its only open for 1 or 2 hours...u best get their and get your medicino...they want to see u earn them....they know that its a pain in the ass for us to get their or drive every damn day...so.our reward....is our take home that we earn...thats only right...thats only fair...they worry about u here...if they dont think u are doing ok...they will helo u...first...u have to habe a counselor here...but all them are very wonderfull people...to top it off...they have cookies and good snacks and stuff...around Christmas out on the table for every one to help themselves...as it gets all taken already...the staff keeps on putting out some more cookies and sweets and stuff just so every 1 gets to have some....they believe in fairness and be honest with them so they can help u the right ways...here they have a program called Malogro...its a Doctor for woman on subutex or methadone....ive went through the Malogro program...they were all super nice ...its a win win!!
